Guest Reviews

- Areli (8/5): -
- Elisa (4/5): If you just need sleep.. - It was clean. It was so noisy. The AC unit, thin windows and outside activity. Although very tired, I was unable to sleep and had to drive 8hrs the following morning. Unfortunately due to weekend events, all hotels were booked and I stayed here as a last resort. If you need legitimate sleep, perhaps staying here during the week this would be ideal. The AC units are so loud though, hopefully they can fix that.
- Fernando (7/5): - la ubicación fue excelente las camas olían mucho a humedad
- Kitty (5/5): 50/50 - Too pricey for the small room To pricey for a small room, no wifi, refrigerator doesn't work and smelled like a dead animal was in there
- Shana (10/5): -
- fanelli (10/5): Amazing - Just an abslutely amzaing stay Nothing it was perfect
- Elaine (8/5): -
- Jonathan (10/5): A good place to stay. - Spotless!
- Kelsey (1/5): extremely disappointing - nothing i paid for a queen room and got a room with 2 full beds, the front desk was trying to make me pay more when i had already paid online, there IS NOT A POOL, it is cemented in. our towels were dirty and our bed had burn holes in it and was dirty. overall it was a very bad and disappointing stay, i will not be staying here again.

- Robert (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - Great value.
- Seth (8/5): Good and inexpensive. - Nice hotel at a reasonable price.
- GEORGE (6/5): - Friendly staff
- Show The Whey Fitness (6/5): - Walls are thin and you can hear neighbors tv. But honestly you get what you pay for so I can’t complain.
- Eric (3/5): Poor - Staff was nice and friendly. Bed was thin and hard, pillows flat and bedding had stains. Location wasn’t great, very noisy busy road all night.
- IDA (6/5): - The property was reasonably clean. Looks like newly renovated shower, old toilet, and USED amenities like a half of shampoo and half of everything else in tiny bottles. The owner need to spend a little bit more on amenities, considering the room rate at $115/night.
- sharon (10/5): - It’s an older motel. But the check in was fast and the guy was great. I would stay here again.
Lots of hot water and very little disturbance, other than the traffic on the road
- Nigel (10/5): thank you 🙏🏽 - nice staff and clean! good rates!
- Jamie (1/5): Never again - No hot water pictures not what the room was really like
- Adrian (4/5): False advertisement - The pictures that were posted how the rooms looks was very false advertisement
- Smith (3/5): Poor -
- Lee (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Conner (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deandra-richard (3/5): Never again - The homeless people at the hotel room door
We had to shew the homeless ladies away from our door. At the McDonald’s across the street had a sketchy man yelling and crying sitting in front of the doorway. We will not stay here again, only stayed as all rooms in town were sold out. The office was located behind locked doors and access to a person was limited. We tried to check out early but could not get anyone to come offer assistance. Rang the bell several times but no one ever came out.
- Robbie (6/5): Awful service when I made a mistake - I messed up my reservation days when I set it up on line. The guy who checked us in was asleep in the back room and came out groggy and angry at us. He told me we were supposed to be here yesterday and it’s already paid for. I agreed I made a mistake and asked how to fix it. He was fixated on showing me my mistake on the computer. I didn’t care and asked him again to fix the problem. When he seemed to only want to argue I said I will just deal with the website and go somewhere else. Then he decided to get on the phone with the owner and change my dates.
- Scott (4/5): Disappointing -
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (1/5): Left without staying. - Terrible place. Should not be allowed to operate on Booking.com.
Filthy smokers smell in our non smoking room. We left without staying. Found another hotel. Attendant keeps lobby locked and checks you in by a pass through window, with you standing in the parking lot. Run-down, dingy place. Scary.
- Adan (6/5): Owner Needs better customer service experience - Beds were hard as a rock front office was locked had to do business through a small window and it was 45 degrees at the time
- Jack (7/5): Good - Value is great Staff was rude on the phone while verifying if reservation was in their computer, to checking in, to checking out.. staff was rud and refused entry into the foyer and left standing outside in 40° temperature while checking in and 30° temperature while checking out.
- Hyman (2/5): - Dead roaches. Microwave did not rotate food
- Rene (7/5): Good -
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb -
- Owen (5/5): Only in a crunch! - No breakfast, office was locked.
Wasn’t given the WiFi password, way too much questionable activity going on here.. Location is sketchy! I was propositioned by 3 people before I even made it into my room!
The rooms have been redone similar to the Motel 6 model. Mattress not great, stained linen.
All the normal hotels were full on this Friday night, so took a chance. Accepted dogs, which was appreciated.
- josephine (2/5): - While I asked the front desk person to repeat what he said he mocked my response and rudely spoke to me then proceeded to be rude
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (3/5): Unfriendly place, but relatively inexpensive. - Good location. Room was remodeled fairly well. The bed was a rock, despite the remodel. The owner is unfriendly and repeats that checkout is at 11:00. He comes knocking on all the doors at 10:40 yelling to get out. Feels like he really doesn’t want you there. Difficult to pay with credit card; cash would have been easier.
- Samuel (2/5): - The property manager/clerk/owner guy is legitimately insane. He was immediately combative with me when we tried to check in - telling at me and calling me stupid for trying to enter through the wrong door. The room was disgusting with insects, bed bugs, hair and dirt all over the floor, and a puddle of urine. The mattress had several stains (some looked like blood). I called expedia. They said they had to talk to him to ask for a refund. But while on hold with expedia, the man came banging on the door. He was extremely rude and didn’t want to give me a refund. Expedia only refunded me partial credit. Not happy with the experience at all. Please stay anywhere else!
- Dennis (3/5): Poor - the price sucks you in! have been bitten twice! pictures don’t do justice to hotel. very run down very old. I have bitten twice on this hotel! should have a lower ranking. it’s old and no improvements. hard beds!
- Mark (9/5): Superb - the rooms were SUPER clean. they were newly renovated and had a shower only no tub (something i like) location was nice many place to eat around the staff was a pain in the A$ to deal with on check in even thou i payed in advance. little traffic noise but some what quite
- Jerry (8/5): Just the basics - A very basic accommodation that met my immediate need of an affordable, short-notice booking.
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Larry (7/5): Good -
- Denton (10/5): very good - dog friendly. Disability room had a walk in shower with a wand to wash with. dogs had a place to play. the breakfast did not have eggs, bacon or sausage. only cereal, bread, muffins and not ripe oranges. they did have a pancake maker, hot coffee, cold apple and orange juice.
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Crespin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darleen (2/5): - This was unfortunately a horrible choice that I made.
They refused to let me in the office/lobby, which was a bad start. The first person that came to talk to me, through the drop off window, could barely speak English and went to get a man. His English was also weak but better than hers, but I had trouble hearing thru the window with all the traffic and wind. When I asked if I could go inside instead of talking thru the drop off hole, he insulted me and said no way that I would go in. In the room I had no toilet paper, dirty (or stained?) towels, no wifi access, and the TV did not work. Plus the refrigerator and Microwave were not plugged in until I did it. Someone had left clothes in the cabinet and when I told the man from the office he came into the room to look, left and basically didn't care. I wondered if I got this room because he had gotten upset at me wanting to go into the lobby, because I did ask him more than once to let me in because I could barely hear him, plus the wind was over 40mph and almost blew me over.
Having said all that, the bed was comfy and the layout was good, even though it was not the way the pictures looked. I just wish I had been treated better & things posted on site were accurate.
- Miles (2/5): Very poor -
- Felix (2/5): - Dirty rooms, and people outside making noise
- Jairo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (1/5): bad. - nothing The floor in the room was sticky, the staff would not answer the phone, was left to stand out in the cold pouring rain because the man at the desk was incredibly unprofessional and “couldn’t find” the reservation even with all information provided
- Peter (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nancy (10/5): - Nice!
- Naomi (5/5): Price was reasonable . Room was clean. - Front desk could have been friendlier. I was forced to check in at teller window and it was cold. Could not hear what man was asking. No coffee pots in room and none was offered at front desk.
- Dorothy (8/5): Very good -
- emileklof (4/5): Do not recommend - It was cheap so I guess you can survive one night.
Clearly booked a room with 2 beds, got a room with 1 bed. Bad customer service from the lady in the reception. Not too friendly, spoke bad english and I couldn't hear what she said through the glass. Dead bugs in the room.
- Raquel (1/5): horrible - nothing bedbugs
- yadhira (2/5): Will steal your deposit - Don't come here because it's cheap. In the end it will cost you more than what you paid. There's a sign that says they require a security deposit, Card or cash. The lady forces you to pay it in cash. And when you ask for your receipt to get your deposit back she says you don't need it that she will give it back. In the morning when you try to get it, they ask for the receipt. The one they said you didn't need. I know they didn't forget me after one night. Towels and sheets are stained. In the end I paid 105 I should have just booked something better if I wasn't going to get my deposit back.
- Johnny (7/5): Good -
- Monica (8/5): Efficient - Priced just right
- Doris (6/5): Pleasant - "Handicapped" or Accessible room was great inside but had a step up without a ramp into the room--what's the point of a roll in shower when a wheelchair would have a difficult time getting into the room. Build a ramp into the room would only take one sack of sackcrete and/or a wooden wedge.
- Jessie (6/5): - You get what you pay for. I got a very low price and a no-frills bed for the night. It was par for the course.
- Cynthia (2/5): Used needles dirty rooms - We booked a room online but when arrived we were told they didn't have the room available...they later put us in a dirty room that had used needles in the trash can I poked myself with one of them and was told by manager that it was my own fault.
- Alicia (2/5): - The room was so smoke filled. I could barely breathe. AC was clanging.
- morgan (4/5): - 3rd time staying. Some rooms have been updated. Our bathroom door was not on the hinges at the top in our original room. We swapped rooms. Clean enough. We won't be back though.
- Marshall (8/5): - Was expecting a dive motel ... experienced a very pleasant change. Several room upgrades, all items functioned correctly. Clean in and out.
- santinop536 (10/5): Nice guy - I really don’t understand the negative reviews on this hotel. It’s not a vacation destination hotel, it’s a convenience hotel. I’m not going to plan a vacation to stay here but it was great to have a hotel that was decently priced where we could have a bed for the night during a road trip. If you’re going to judge anything, judge the customer service. Rupesh was running the front counter, he was polite and got us to up our room quickly. This review is about him! He was great and the hotel was exactly what I expected when I reserved it.
- Edd (6/5): - The floors have no carpet so they are clean. The bathroom has zero shelves in the shower or around the sink makes it hard to get normal bathroom things out. Check in was quick but unfriendly, they gave use a room and no directions, we drove around until we found it. Parking was convenient and it show pride of ownership, fresh paint, newer roof , flower in flower beds, etc. It's an old motel being fixed, other than check in the noise was an issue, it's on a main street in town and I come from a very rural area with no night noise other than the coyotes. .
- Rebecca (4/5): - The bathroom was clean but the towel rack was outside the bathroom. The car noise from the 4 lane road was very loud. The chairs were very stained and the bedspreads had obvious stains. The office did the transaction through a pass through that he would stick his hand through and the sunlight was shining on the glass so I couldn’t see if a person was there.
- Judith (8/5): - just fine for a nights sleep
- tien (8/5): Traveling from Baton Rouge to Los Angeles - Decent stay after visiting White Sands national monument. No real complaints and would stay there again.
- Gerardo (8/5): - Conveniently located, park car just outside my room. A bit noisy because is by a highway.
- Brian (2/5): Keep going... don't do it. - I moved across country from Dallas to San Diego. Las Cruces happened to be the halfway mark. This place is legit 1 step above a roach motel. The only difference? I didn't SEE any roaches here. Pay a few dollars more and stay somewhere else, trust me.
- JDWorldTravels (2/5): Disgusting & Dangerous. Do NOT stay here, - I am perplexed by the good reviews on this place. It is HORRIBLE.
I'm a solo female traveler, passing through beautiful NM on a cross country road trip. On a Monday night in July, I checked in "after hours" which requires the guest to ring a bell at the drive through window. (There is no access into the hotel lobby).
I rang the bell and waited outside, standing in the drive-thru. My car was parked about 40 feet away in a parking spot.
As I rang the bell, 2 men in a pick up truck pulled into the drivethru, right behind me, which already felt too close for comfort. They were not giving me a lot of personal space which raised a red flag.
As the hotel employee collected my information the driver of the truck said to the passengaer, "I will get you a room here to get you off the street for the night. Just don't steal anything."
This comment made me incredibly weary of my surroundings. It just didn't feel right.
The hotel employee finished my check in and gave me my card to my room. As I turned to go to my room, the truck driver stepped closer towards me and started to verbally harrass me. He was aggressivley saying "hey you!" and "What's your name!" "Come here" over and over.
I am used to traveling alone and being approached by men, but this scenarios felt more dangerous than usual.
I was so scared that I did not want him to see what room I was staying in.
I got in my car and he watched me drive away, then I waited for 20 minutes in a parking lot down the street before I returned. At this point it was 10pm and I was exhausted from driving 12 hours that day. I just wanted to go to bed.
Upon returning to the motel, I did not see the truck, so I went inside my room.
There was a group of creepy men in the parking lot outside my room doing, what seemed to be, "suspicious activity," let's just say, Another red flag.
When entering my room, another very shady & suspicious man was standing outside his door, at the room right next to mine, looking to be up to no good. He watched me go into my room alone and it left me another very creepy feeling. At that point, my instincts told me to leave.
The room was dingy, smelly and filled with stains on the walls and bed. I didn't even want to sit on a chair.
When I tried to close my room door behind me, it barely closed. The top part of the door was so bent, I could almost see daylisght through it. The lock was also very questionable and did not close securely. That was the final straw.
Within 10 minutes of being in the room, I absolutely felt that my safety was in jeopardy. There was no way I was going to sleep there.
I went back to check in desk and rang the bell. The motel employee admitted that he heard the guy harrassing me. I told him that he should understand that my safety is a big concern and he really did NOT care too much about that.
I immediately checked out and asked for a refund. He would NOT issue a refund.
I booked another room at the Ramada down the street and felt much better about that place.
No one should ever feel like their safety is in jeopardy when all they want to do is lay their head to rest for a night. If health and safety are a concern of yours when traveling, go elsewhere. This place is very shady.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A good value - Check-in was... interesting. The lobby was closed night and day (COVID precautions?) and check-in/check-out was handled through a tiny service window with no speaker. I had to open the drawer and lean over to put my ear to it to hear/understand them. I understand the safety and health precaution, but some type of speaker would be useful. Apparently their computers were down so they could not verify my reservation or payment. I was able to show the email and that eventually sufficed. The floor was a bit dusty, but other than that the room was clean and in good repair. A great value for the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Liked the location, price, very clean rooms, quiet, walking distance to a lot of stores.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The motel is located on HWY 70 so no out of route distance was put on, and there were many restaurant choices near by.
- PATRICIA (10/5): - The friendly greeting by hotel staff made me feel at home. My room had a comfortable bed, roomy shower, lots of warm water snd clesn towels.
I was impressed with the eastle of tv channel viewing, and numerous movie channels. I had a microwave and refrigerator.
This hotel is accesible to shopping, restaurants and businesses.
The hotel is moderately priced and offers good quslity. I lenjoyed psrking right in front of my room. This is s family atmosphere - this is NOT a place for rowdy party people.
Offer respect to the msnagers who live on the premises.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Came here to work in Walmart Sunday night but storms changed my plans
- Julie (6/5): Very uncomfortably cold - Room was large and clean but extremely cold. If I hadn't brought an electric blanket, I could not have stayed. By morning, it was warm enough to take a quick shower. We had no trouble getting our $25 deposit back.
- Crystal (8/5): - While wee were staying it was ok but when we had to check out was when they were being rude
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The only complaint I have is that the bed was very firm.
- Greg (8/5): - You get what you get. The price was right for our stay, and I didn't mind the retro feel, it was kind of what we were looking for. I don't know whether it was just due to the Covid-19 situation or not, but the lobby was locked and all business was conducted through a window. It was only 6:00 PM when we arrived, so found that to be a little impersonal.
- Verified traveler (2/5): STAY AT YOUROWN RISK. BED BUG! BED BUGS! - Looks can be decieving..we payed for 2 nights, found bedbugs! Lots! When i told the front and showed them the bugs, they blamed US and said we brought them..refused to reimburse us for the second night and wouldnt let us switch rooms.
We will not be returning.
BED BUGS! ROACHES!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. THE PROPERTY IS SCUZZY AND WRLL I DIDNT LIKE ANYTHING
- Gabriel (4/5): Bad room - The mattress' were thin, could feel the box underneath. The room smelled of cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. Had to leave the fan on the entire stay so my kids didn't get grossed out by the smell. The toilet seat was broken. Towels smelled like smoke.
- ramessesq (2/5): Don't waste your time - Arrived at 11pm for an overnight stay on a cross country road trip. Lobby was locked and unattended. Rang bell and knocked, finally a man shuffled out from a door behind the front desk. Barefoot and in pajamas, he was irritable and did not have the patience to allow me to ask him any questions other than to confirm that there were rooms available. He then flat out refused to rent me a room, saying I was causing a problem (by trying to ask questions, by seemingly waking him up, by who knows what?) and that he could do what he wants because he owns the property. I'm glad I learned of this individual prior to checking in because I can only imagine what checking out must be like. If you're looking for a place to stay in Las Cruces, and enjoy having this type of interaction with your host, then you've found the perfect place. Otherwise, avoid this place at all costs!
- mary (8/5): - I had to use my phone to call the front desk to get someone to check me in when I arrived. I knocked and called hello for over 5 minutes with no response, then used the phone to contact them.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible customer service and rude would like parcell refund
- Rita (2/5): - Thr staff at centry 21 were very unpleasnt and down right rude. I didnt stay there for reather of the 2 days i reserved. I want a full refund i none of tge rules fir a nonrefund apply to thus situation as i was there bith days trying to check in the firt day wad told they didn't have any rooms left even though the reservtion had already been made prior to arrival. Plz refund the complete amount witch i woukd like mailed to my self at my address as to the fact that my purse was stolen oyt if my car while i was tryibg to check in to the centry 21 hotel. I was told tgst they are not resonable for any damage to my car and futher more they do nit have working carmas in the parking lot...... Very very unplesant staff and a complete waste of my time and money
- NYMuseum (8/5): - No problems with the book in and the place was easy to find. Lots of eating close by.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was nice and quick process ,easy in and out.person in desk was nice and the place was well take care for.
- Rudolf (10/5): - Nice and friendly personal. Quick and easy checkin. Room as expected. Nothing fancy but great for the price.
- Lulabelle (6/5): - The beds were very hard and so we're the pillows, not soft and fluffy. Didn't sleep well.
No shelf in the shower to put your soap or shampoo on.
Room was very clean and it didn't have carpet which I liked.
- randyd742 (10/5): Motorcycle Friendly - On a recent Harley trip chose Century 21 based on location, price and reviews. While I thought the reviews were low we tried it anyway. Quoted a price on the phone and when we got here it’s exactly what we paid. Owner/manager was friendly and accommodating on our requests. Room was great! Newly renovated hard wood floors, new bathroom as well. A/C was ice cold and it was quiet and exceptionally clean. The owner was kind enough to give us old towels to clean our Harley’s! Fridge and microwave in room as well. Had plug saw to charge your stuff everywhere. The beat thing is lots of lighting around the room so your not struggling while packing or working.
