- Claudio (8/5): ótimo, no centro!
- Elia (8/5): - Nice place Very little stuff, even that ist write that bar and drinks are available basically its like a hostel except rooms no service is avelible.
The stuff is super nice and professional but too littel members of the team meaning too little employees
- juan (9/5): -
- Ge (10/5): -
- Jose Augusto (9/5): Boa -
- bnicpa (10/5): - There is a problem with their credit card processor. They would not acccept my credit card even though I used it everywhere else and multiple other hotels during my trip with no issues
- Sarah (6/5): -
- Jay (9/5): I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Quijote. The location in downtown was ideal. - The location in downtown Calafate was a real plus. Made walking to restaurants and other services very easy and quick
- Cheri (10/5): - Room was clean and comfortable. Lobby seating area very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Easy walk from Main Street.
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (10/5): - Quite an established hotel with many wings and a lovely ambience located 1 block back from the main street. We rented a car at the airport and were able to park it almost at the front door for our one night there. The room and bed were lovely and comfortable. Bathroom was cozy but well appointed. Breakfast was adequate. Best part is its location - so walkable, and restaurants everywhere in easy reach up and down the main street.
- Schneider (4/5): Disappointing - The breakfast buffet was inadequate for vegetarians--no granola, seeds, nuts, .... The breakfast buffet was also inadequately staffed and restocked.
Loud music from outside the hotel disturbed my sleep during the period of 22:00-24:00.
- BENJAMIN (8/5): - The hotel is in a great location, but it seems like it is next to a bbq/parrilla restaurant and the smell of bbq at night is too much, at least from my room. The breakfast needs improvement, everything is cold, toaster do not heat the bread, they need new equipment. It is nice that breakfast is at 6am, so you get to eat something before going in a tour.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good - It was very good ,
- Thomas (8/5): - A very nice property. The breakfast room can get crowded and the staff has trouble refilling empty platters. The less expensive rooms are smaller, but have been upgraded to have outlets by the bed which the more expensive, larger rooms didn't have.
- Andrew (6/5): An okay hotel because of its location. Not likely to go back. - The location! There is no place in the bathroom to put one’s personal toiletries! The stair to the Room squeaks loudly on every step. It wakes people up when you have to come down for bathroom and go up to bed again! And the biggest drawback is there is no electric outlets in the living room and only one in the Bedroom! Extremely inconvenient. Breakfast area is very congested!
- Brandon (8/5): We were in transit from Buenos Aires to El Chetan and the Hotel Quijote was a great layover location. - The public areas are exceptional; the lobby could be in a USA National Park lodge. Inadequate room ventilation; operable window helped.
- Dmitrii (6/5): Pleasant - Location There is no AC… it was very uncomfortable
- Xiaoxu (8/5): - Good location
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (8/5): Pleasant large hotel near town centre. - Clean modern hotel in older style. Well located near town centre. Comfortable bed.
- Louise (8/5): Good location, clean, communal areas pleasant, breakfast good - Location very good
Staff on front desk helpful
Room good size Room a little tired
Neighbours noisy not the hotels fault
- Kelly (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating, rooms were clean and the lobby to hang out in while waiting for transportation was very comfortable.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Troy (9/5): Superb - Very beautiful hotel, close to the main street. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. I recommend full heartedly.
- Dina (5/5): Passable - Excellent location. Very nice public space. Nice people at the reception. I had a duplex room with the stairs. Very inconvenient. No power sockets near the bed. No place in the bathroom to place my staff. Breakfast was poor.
- Andrew (8/5): Well located for an El Calafate stay - Best location in town! Close to everything. The twin beds were a bit on the small side, there were no bar facilities and the breakfast was a bit average. Also although jug provided no tea or coffee in room.
- Paula (8/5): Great Stay - Location
- Ben (7/5): Good -
- Kev (9/5): Superb -
- MissEuro (4/5): Not recommended - The hotel looks really nice and modern on the outside but is really dated on the inside. The floor we were on smelled like pee and the walls were so thin that we could hear the people next door talk.
And the breakfast is awful - selection and quality .
The only plus is the location.
- Oprica (9/5): Superb -
- Eva (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location
- Alberto (10/5): - Pretty place, great location.
- Amanda (6/5): Good enough. - Location. Room was spacious and good mattress but no duvet. Breakfast was horrible. Felt olt and quite dark, noisy birds on rooftop of building behind. Housekeeping not great.
- JavaMama58 (6/5): Good location - Looked nice on the booking sites. It’s an old structure that looks modern. Big rooms but dark old world vibes all around. There were noisy birds on the rooftop behind our room. The single beds were comfortable. Shower head in the bathroom wasn’t great but water pressure very good.
Housekeeping wasn’t great. Breakfast was terrible. Front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful.
Location did not disappoint as its walking distance to everything.
- Tania (8/5): - Muy bonito el hotel
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Convenient for the town and well appointed
- Lee (7/5): Good -
- Shyamala (10/5): - Central location but off the main road
- Lee (8/5): Very good - Great location
Lovely big rooms
Shoe shine machine Too hot 🔥 🥵
Heating was way too high
No milk available for Tea in the room
- Nakdimon (8/5): Very good - Location, frindely staff
- Paul (10/5): Place with nice ambience in the middle of town. - Great value and location.
- Félix (9/5): Great place to stay! - Staff, the room. Well, the bar open late.
- Marc (7/5): competent - just standard mediocre rooms and views.
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- platinoum (2/5): The list is so long of their pettiness to give customers the minimum of services while saving money. - What can we say about this appalling hotel, as the list is long of their pettiness to give customers the minimum of services while saving money. Already the Quijote hotel is depressing, old and in need of renovation and the asking price is very expensive for this type of hotel so do not book this hotel. The room also had to be completely redone and the amenities were particularly limited and not ecological because they were made of disposable plastic. The hotel and breakfast were the worst of a 5 week stay. Breakfast is not only depressing but junk with low-end industrial bread and croissants like the rest, with a more than limited choice. There is an omelet but no bacon, it's hard to get basic fried eggs. By insisting, I had fried eggs on the 1st day but they were overcooked (hard cooked) highlighting their ability to cook and the next day the manager did not approve my request so no eggs!. This morning we arrived and found only dirty and uncleared tables and we set the table ourselves, so probably not enough staff. Also during check-in, the receptionist did not look for an available room while the others do and he asked us to come back and this is unusual because other hotels do their best to satisfy their customers. Also checkout is early at 10 a.m. while other Argentinian hotels are at 11 a.m. or noon. I had knee surgery a few weeks ago and I can't bend my leg to step over a bathtub, so I asked for a shower and he confirmed. And I had a bathtub that I couldn't use. The level of English of the staff in contact with customers in this tourist town is pathetic because they do not want to employ more qualified, and therefore more expensive, profiles.
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Ankita (8/5): Very good -
- Ferhan (10/5): Exceptional - Great property, very clean, very kind staff and center of the city.
- Ruqiao (8/5): Very good -
- Carlos (8/5): - It was terrible that one had to exit at 10 am and when asked for a late check out they said 10:15am. And the hotel did not seemed full. Otherwise hotel location great
- David (8/5): Would return. - Appearance, service, location, responsiveness Two floor apartment style room.
- Azalea (7/5): Good -
- Gennaro (8/5): Very good - location Bteakfast
- Analia (7/5): Good -
- Nadine (7/5): I was happy with my stay at this hotel. - The staff were very helpful and spoke English. The breakfast was quite nice and in a pretty room. The entrance and lobby of the hotel was attractive. Location was great, two blocks from downtown shops and restaurants. The room was fairly basic and a bit dark, but it was clean and comfortable.
- Russell (4/5): disappointing - The location was good, close to the main street of El Clafate and many restaurants. The staff on the front desk, while relatively efficient were very dour and not cheerful, bordering on rude. They did not offer help or information, it was difficult to draw information, even about the hotel from them. The feeling was unpleasant. This is a fairly expensive hotel in this area, so we expected better.
The hotel does not offer off street parking
- Roberto (8/5): Very good - location needs some maintenance
- Eduardo (5/5): Not even close to expectations - Location is very good, close to everything in town. The hotel facilities are old or poorly stuffed, missing basic items, such as, trash bin other than the bathroom’s, hanging point for hand towels, spare power outlets (every single outlet has something connected) , any kind of shelf or table for toilette items in the bathroom, etc.
One specially annoying thing is the shower, which temperature can vary from like 25 to 50 degrees C, in seconds and back, which makes showering an adventure.
The “ground” floor is practically useless. It could be a good fit, had it a couch or any kind of comfort for people to stay there. The stairway to the bedroom makes you fear it will fall apart anytime.
- Jinkang (8/5): - Very good location
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - Location was right in the heart of downtown El Calafate and very convenient. Thursday and Friday nights were a bit loud in the streets - we had non-street facing rooms and we could still hear music until early in the am.
- TAWaldman (6/5): Fascist Management Policies, Rigidly Enfoced! - This place is clean and comfortable, but it must be run by fascists. When we arrived earlier than the check-in time we were told not to return to check in until 2pm. We arrived fifteen minutes before 2 and were forced to wait until after 2 to gain access to our room. On the evening before check-out we asked for an extra hour or two, and the front desk offered us an additional 8 hours, but only at a half day additional rate. When we said we only wished an extra hour or two, the robotic woman at the front desk told reminded us that the hotel “es un negocio” ( is a business). Obviously, management does not understand the concept of “HOSPITALITY”. I would not recommend this place, event to my worst enemy.
- Marko (9/5): Superb - the hotel is clean, friendly, in a good location, with excellent staff. I have no comments
- James (5/5): Older property in the perfect location - The location is perfect, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of downtown Calafate. After a long day of excursions it was nice to be able to walk to dinner nearby. The included breakfast exceeded expectations so that was pleasant. The hotel is older. While the lobby is well maintained there were several maintenance issues in the room. We stayed in one of the "apartments" which simply meant that the unit had a horrible layout. The bathroom was downstairs with a small table and the beds were upstairs. This made for some scarey trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
While most people won't pay attention to this, I was quite concerned about the lack of fire exists. Our room was at the end of the hall and the only exit was the main stairwell down to the lobby.
- Barak (8/5): Very good - Central location Not enough electricity sockets in the room.
Room had 2 floors which was a bit inconvenient.
- Friel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Byong (9/5): Superb - Spacious and clean room Staff gave me suspicious questions.
Pre-payment
- 594rrr (6/5): good value but some issues - we spent 5 nights at the quijote hotel.
positives: great location, spacious rooms, large beds, friendly staff, good value.
negatives: lack of hot water in the shower at peak hours (2 days), no wi-fi in one of the rooms (which was resolved as they moved us into a different room).
- Margaret (8/5): Very good -
- Sightseer10641657214 (6/5): Lovely staff. Hotel needs tlc. - This hotel is excellently placed and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast too was fresh and varied. However the hotel could do with some tlc. The beds in our room were comfortable but the safe needed batteries, the bath had no plug ( though it was good to have a bath at all) and the shower rail fell down 3 times. We could also have done with air conditioning. On balance we would return.
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Brenman (9/5): Great Stay would Return - Rated as a 3 start but would give it a 4 star, very good Hotel, located at walking distance near the main streetm Nice Lobby where I saw the world cup games. Large and comforatable room clean and quiet Breakfast was good No Gym
- Jorge (9/5): Nice and comfortable - Comfortable and large room.
Quiet location but also well located. Breakfast below other services.
- Jacobus (8/5): Recommended . - Ideally located in the centrum, but not over crowded . Friendly staff . Spacious bedroom/ Not get a room with a good view, and light not bright enough.
- Surassawadee (10/5): Classic decoration with good service. - Such a classic decoration hotel but in well-manage one. The location is very close to the city. Totolly recommend!!! nothing
- Lee (4/5): - Staff was not very friendly and rude.
- vinod (4/5): - Room is old, dirty, no temperature control in the room.
- Catherine (9/5): really nice place to stay - it was very clean and comfortable, comfortable beds and had a bath.
- Philippe (8/5): - This hotel has a very convenient location, 1 block from shops and restaurants. Rooms are quiet and clean.
The lobby is attractive. Breakfast is fine.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Our rooms were a bit stuffy and too warm. We could not regulate the temperate and had to open a window to bring the temperature down to a comfortable level.
It would have also been helpful to have electric plugs next to the nightstands to recharge our phones.
