Guest Reviews
- PIA (10/5): - Had a wonderful stay. Sweet house with vintage feel. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful.
- Amy (10/5): - Delicious breakfast, walkable to restaurants, across from a lovely park! Excellent communication!
- Michael (10/5): - Quiet, conveniently located, spacious room. Accommodating and friendly staff. If ever in the area again, will be sure to return.
- Mark (10/5): - .
- Serayna (10/5): - Staff, breakfast, and room were all the same - warm and welcoming.
- Eric (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay. The staff is very friendly. I recommend.
- JINNY (10/5): - Shannon kindly provided us with a self check-in option for our pate arrival. After five hours of driving, drinking tea and hot cocoa when we arrived was a welcomed amount of relaxation before we turned in for the night. I breakfast was delicious and filling. I appreciated that my 13 year old gad the “picky eater” option of pancakes and bacon. We’ll definitely stay here again when we pass through!
- Robert (10/5): - This place is beautiful! 2nd time staying, plan on making a yearly trip and wouldnt stay anywhere else.
- Ralph (10/5): - Could use more parking area. Carport was very tight fit for two cars. Would like a refrigerator in room like most hotels have. There is a refrigerator in the kitchen but that is where staff keeps food, etc. for guests and i don't think guests should have access to it.
The staff are the best I've ever seen. Always smiling, always helpful. I would hire them all for my business if I could steal them away from the B&B!!! For that reason alone, I will stay there again any time in Punxsutawney.
- margaret (8/5): - Clean and friendly
- Stephe (10/5): - Staff are so friendly and it's a lovely house right in the middle of town. I'll be back!
- Sonya (10/5): - I highly recommend Barclay B&B if staying in Punxsutawney. It is in a great location, the town is very walkable with fun shops and of course Phil is right there as well. The owner was so friendly and the house is incredibly well decorated. The room was absolutely adorable and incredibly cozy. We felt right at home and slept so well. I hope we can come back one day!
- David (10/5): - Overall very nice. However, our third floor room and especially the bathroom/shower was a struggle do to low ceilings. Tall people should not consider the third floor room/ bath
- Gregory (10/5): Wonderful bed and breakfast - My wife and kids stayed here and were amazed at the service and friendliness of the staff. They loved their room and stated it was comfortable and lovely as well. They appreciated the breakfast and thought it tasted great.
- tanya (10/5): - My husband and I have always wanted to see Punxsutawney, PA so we decided to hit the road and see as much of PA as we could. The BEST possible stay came from Shannon and her crew at the Barclay Bed & Breakfast! The house has a unique history and is very, very clean and right downtown. The girls running it are super sweet, fun, and helpful! If we make it back out to PA, we will definitely stay here again!
- Carsten (10/5): - Cozy location. Very nice owner and chef. Thanks
- Hassan (10/5): Old style, clean, comfortable, good breakfast - Barclay B&B was a great place to stay in Punxsutawny, PA. I went there off-season, so the B&B was empty but the manager and the chef took good care of me during my one-night stay. The bedroom was clean, comfy and cozy and, as expected of a B&B, old style with a little history and nicely decorated rooms downstairs. The breakfast was complete and tasty. I will stay there again when in Punxsutawny.
- Agnieszka (10/5): - We liked a lot of things, the hospitality, breakfast accommodations (tailored to our needs), fantastic location, and the house's history.
- Jorge (10/5): - Very nice
- Mary Lou (10/5): - Our stay was brief, however, we it was clean, comfortable and we loved the vintage charm
- Coral (10/5): -
The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean and accommodating, even if worn a bit around the edges. The bathroom was nice, and the amenities were acceptable. The bed was comfortable and arrayed with lovely pillows. Our stay was pleasant and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful, served in a delightful dining room. We would definitely stay here again.

- Joe (10/5): House to Myself - Shannon has done a great job with the house. She's a very gracious hostess. I was lucky enough to have the house to myself on a Sunday night. It took me back to my grandmother's house as a child. I highly recommend The Barclay House and the town of wonderful people and sights.
- Melanie (10/5): Fabulous place to stay - This is a character filled property and the staff were delightful. Located right on Barclay Square you don’t get a better location.
- Matthew (10/5): - This is a lovely B&B the property owner was very communicative and clear on any instructions we needed. A lovey Hostess made us breakfast the next morning and she was a delight to chat with as well. We stayed in the Dinsmore room only and it was nicely laid out with a private bath. We will be returning!

- Paul (10/5): - Prompt service and manager meets at the property at time of arrival. Breakfast was a fantastic home cooked meal, looking to stay again for the next event in town.
- clyde (10/5): - Fresh cooked breakfast excellent, be sure to talk to the chef who is friendly and informative about the town and Barclay history.
We dined with another couple and made new friends over breakfast
This was a stop off on a vacation trip and we are glad we chose Barclay.
- Robert (10/5): - This was our first time staying at a B&B and we really enjoyed ourselves. Great property, close to many things, and the breakfast was fantastic.
- Wendy (10/5): - I liked the location of the B and B. It was downtown and close to many of the groundhog statues. The breakfast was good.
- Sameer (8/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Barclay B&B around the Groundhog Festival in July. The house is beautiful and well-kept. Shannon is a great host and very helpful. Unfortunately, there was no breakfast on the day we stayed so cannot review that. But there was stuff in the fridge and the grocery store is just a 5 minute walk.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - liked everything they had to offer
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very conveniently located and the staff was so friendly and welcoming! Everything was very clean and accessible. Would absolutely come back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was my first experience with a Bed and Breakfast and I have to tell you it was about the best experience I have had when staying out of town. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
So much better than any hotel. They had a history of the house that went back to when it was built. The rooms were incredible and the bed very comfortable. Since we were meeting other family members there, we had the 4 rooms on the 2nd floor. My mom and I had the room with the private bath which was nice. It was larger than the others so we were the gathering place. So much fun and can't wait to go there again.
