• Irina (1/5): The staff is great, the facility is not worth the money. - The staff is excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The access to kitchen is a bonus woth early tours. They give you a snack pack if you can’t make it to the breakfast. The facility needs an upgrade. I stayed in the room where I was bitten by some insects, developed an allergic reaction.

• sandoval (9/5): Una agradable experiencia en Vicuña Lodge - El Hostal tiene buena ubicación cerca del centro, las instalaciones son cómodas, el desayuno es muy bueno, el personal es atento. Lo mejor del Hostal es la amabilidad de Don Guillermo, muy buen anfitrión, muy atento, siempre alegre y preocupado por los huespes. Su amabilidad alegraba el día. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, pero falta aire acondicionado en las piezas por el calor que hace.

Usamos la piscina y siempre estaba limpia. El lugar también es muy tranquilo. Quiero destacar a Don Guillermo quien fue muy amable y atento a nuestras necesidades en todo momento. Podrian mejorar la iluminación (cambiar luces amarillas)

• Pedro (9/5): - Hotel muito bem localizado, acomodação excelente, aconchegante e bem organizada; o café da manhã muito gostoso e farto e a responsável pelo hotel (Lili) muito simpática e nos atendeu em todos os pedidos. O único porém que não gostamos é que no quarto que ficamos o box do banheiro era muito estreito e ficou um pouco complicado tomar banho (apesar de que o banheiro era muito bonito).

• Zabala (9/5): - La atención de Sofia un 10, es muy amable y tiene voluntad para ayudarte...me gustó mucho la habitación en general ya que eran muy cómodas las camas y el baño muy limpio..personal de aseo un 7 nos dejó la habitación limpia y ordenada...la piscina estaba exquisita pese a que la utilizamos muy poquito estaba rica el agua, el desayuno me encantó muy bueno y Sofia preocupada si tenías tours te deja una colación...el lugar es limpio y bonito además muy buena ubicación volvería de todas maneras.. No tiene cosas malas la verdad para opinar solo en nuestro caso al ser 3 personas, 1 confort nos duraba muy poco pero siempre que pedimos adicional nos entregaron..

• Luciano (8/5): bom custo benefício. funcionárias muito simpáticas. - simples, mas vale a pena pelo custo benefício. você pode usar a cozinha para fazer mais coisas com ovos, cozinhar etc, inclusive no almoço. o que incomodou foi apenas a cama, o tamanho do quarto (pequeno) e o barulho ;((( o barulho é o pior quesito, pois nao tem muito isolamento no quarto, você ouve as pessoas que acordam cedo, ouve o barulho da cozinha, etc. eu tenho sono leve, atrapalhou muito. a qualidade da cama poderia ser melhor.

• Paulo Sergio (10/5): - Super recomendo! O hotel não é de grande porte, mas é extremamente acolhedor e oferece um atendimento impecável. O Sr. Guilhermo foi sempre muito atencioso e esteve à disposição para tudo que precisávamos. Quando tínhamos passeios com partida antes do horário do café da manhã, ele preparava um lanche para levarmos. Além disso, pudemos deixar as malas guardadas enquanto fazíamos nosso passeio de quatro dias na Bolívia, o que foi de grande ajuda. Cozinha compartilhada disponível, assim como todas as demais comodidades, que atendem plenamente às necessidades da estadia.
• Giu (8/5): Bom custo-benefício - O atendimento era ótimo - Sr. Guillermo, o dono, muito prestativo e atencioso em todas as etapas - permitiu o early check-in, sempre nos perguntava se sairíamos antes do horário do café, e quando isso acontecia deixava um kit com snacks para levarmos aos passeios. Excelente! O quarto era bem apertado para duas pessoas e sem ar condicionado. Por mais que à noite faça frio no Atacama, faltou a opção de regularmos a temperatura. Também não há suporte para shampoo no box, o que faz com que precise deixar em cima da pia e a cada vez que pega o sabonete ou o shampoo, acaba molhando mais o chão. O café da manhã não tinha muitas opções, o kit para levar aos passeios acabou sendo melhor que o café em si.
• Nilton Souza Jr (10/5): Perfeito ! e bem perto da Caracoles - A Lili é um amor de pessoa, muito simpática e está sempre disponível ! Fui muito bem recepcionado, me senti como se tivesse em casa, explicou tudo e deu várias dicas ! Inclusive, para quem não está acostumado com altitude e vai sofrer com dores de cabeça, peça a ela pra fazer o chá de chachacoma, é bem mais eficiente que todos os outros. Meu quarto foi excelente, amplo, banheiro sempre limpo e espaçoso! A limpeza e os funcionários são muito simpáticos ! Nos dias que tive passeio pela manhã bem cedo, a Lili fazia um lanche para levar. O hotel é simples mas vale muito a pena, sem contar que é bem próximo à Rua Caracoles, no máximo uns 10 minutos a pé e fica em uma área bem tranquila. Super recomendo!! Tudo foi ótimo.

• Milo (8/5): - Property was nice and humble. There lots of power outages in Atacama and most of the time their generator worked except on our 3rd day it was freezing. Though this isn’t their fault at all just being warm pijamas and I hope the staff is aware that maybe they need to check the generator is loaded with fuel. Over all the kindness of people made this place exceptional.

• Nitish (10/5): - Property was really good and the host was really friendly and accomodating even though we don't speak the language. They prepared breakfast for us every morning and cleaned the rooms every day too. Small property so you can talk to other guests as well. Waking up and eating breakfast with the view of desert and mountains in the backdrop was really special too. The place is 5 mins walk from main market street so you are perfectly tucked away from peak tourist traffic and still close enough to get out and do your stuff. The airport transfer services come up to the hostel and most of the tours can pick you up from this location. Ones which cannot will generally pick up from a location which can not be more than 10 moinutes walk. We visited in winter and from our experience, two things that I want to highlight. 1. you are very close to the driest place on the earth so pack lotion and 2 because you are in the middle of a desert and temperatures drop significantly at night its better to pack warm clothes to sleep in. Room was colder than a usual hotel room.
• Rosemary (6/5): - A lot of money to spend for a place which wasn’t imo worth it. The wardrobe doors were flimsy and when opened the wardrobe shuddered and swayed as though it were to collapse. The toilet wouldn’t fill automatically, luckily the shower was close by with a flexible hose to fill it after every flush, which was just bothersome. The cord for the heater didn’t even reach the wall socket: and the heater is wall mounted so literally no way of moving it closer. Not great on chilly nights. Housekeeping came on the 3rd day, the room was left tidy and well made up, but the chemical cleaning spray they use to “scent” the rooms is chokingly awful. Even with door and window open it wouldn’t subside. The senior manager kept singing my name every time he saw me, whilst entertaining at first it became overbearing very quickly. Also introducing me to every single person in the hotel was a bit extroverted given I was just trying to eat breakfast. It’s close to town, maybe a 5 minute walk, has a few good spots around for food and supplies, but ultimately I felt it was a rather large pricetag for something I would have paid half for in my own overpriced country. Given the rooms inadequacies it was too much.
• Christophe (6/5): - A little expensive for the service. At €20 less per night, the service would have been considered excellent. The room is small and the only window overlooks an interior patio. . But there is a shared terrace which is very pleasant and makes up for this inconvenience. The breakfast is adequate, nothing more.

The manager don Guillermo tried to help us in everything we needed but the other staff didn't give us towels and the breakfast was not ready at 8.30am. The breakfast was basic and only one toaster was in use, we needed to wait to use it, There was not help and properly service at breakfast and cleaning.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Guillermo was wonderful, welcoming and helpful. (Fortunately my husband spoke Spanish so they could communicate.) He provided us with bagged breakfasts for our early morning tours. Coffee and tea were available throughout the day. The location was quiet; a 5-10 minute walk from the center of town. The bathroom was small but fine and the shower had plenty of hot water. The room itself had a large wet spot on the wall and would have benefitted from table lamps on the night stands. The fan was helpful to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. It was a pleasant stay in San Pedro de Atacama.

The owners were very nice & kind, hard working, but couldn’t provide info / help as they did not speak English. It was often young people manning the front reception area/ desk, which also needs renovations. Needs air conditioning. Place needs work/ renovations ( things look very slapped together using whatever materials were around): new bedroom night-tables & New paint job to cover repairs to plaster, new beds as soft & bedding ( outdated), kitchen area, reception area & new outdoor chairs. Conditioner & a hairdryer would be helpful. Bathrooms were small, but fully renovated & floors all had new tiles.Bedrooms were very clean. Housekeeper did a very thorough job. Pool freezing but using the pool cover at night would help. Breakfast was ok. Mostly self serve. Snack for early risers needs breakfast items. There was a communal fridge. Good location.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Pas à la hauteur - J’espère être tombée sur l’unique chambre dans un état médiocre, je n’ai pas eu d’eau chaude du séjour (malgré que quelqu’un soit passé rectifier le problème ça n’a pas tenu), la douche en elle-même tenait par miracle grâce à un fils accroché au plafond, le sèche-cheveux avait été arraché du mur. J’ai eu énormément de difficultés voir j’ai été dans l’incapacité de charger mon téléphone avec les prises de la chambre. Pour le prix, vous pouvez avoir beaucoup mieux et plus central. Les employés étaient néanmoins agréables.

O local é próximo ao centrinho, com uma pequena caminhada. Recomendo!
• Liberio luiz (10/5): - Foi muito boa. Os proprietários muito gentis e solícitos. Fica perto do centrinho, 7 minutos a pé. O cafe da manhã nao é dos melhores mas suficiente. Tem água disponível todo o tempo e algumas frutas também.
• Vanessa Daniele (10/5): - His rap super limpo, sossegado, para descansar depois dos passeios no Atacama. Café de manhã excelente e eles dão um box no dia que vc vai passear muito cedo.
• Maurício (8/5): Simplicidade mas com conforto - O hotel é simples mas confortável. Boa ducha de água quente. Cama quente. Aquecedor para as noites frias. Tv com vários canais. Anfitriões simpáticos e solícitos. Enfim nossa estadia foi muito agradável.
• Kamila (10/5): - Ótima opção de estadia! O hotel tem uma boa estrutura, quarto confortável, com aquecedor, o chuveiro que deixa um pouco a desejar, ou a água sai muito quente, queimando, ou sai gelada, não tinha a opção de regular a água a uma temperatura ideal. A recepção do Senhor Guilhermo é um diferencial, muito simpático, prestativo, sempre disposto a ajudar a qualquer hora, nos deu boas indicações de restaurantes e agências de passeios, preparava uma sacola de lanches para que a gente pudesse levar para os passeios que saiam antes do horário do café da manhã. O hotel fica perto da rua Caracoles, 10 min a pé, em frente a um mercadinho e a outros comércios. O café da manhã é simples, porém gostoso, fora do horário do café os hóspedes tem a opção de utilizar a cozinha para seus preparos pessoais.

• maria (10/5): Vicuña Lodge - Vicuña Lodge was a pleasant surprise. It is very well kept, spotless and nice! It is conveniently located within mi utes to Caracoles street, where most of the city activity, restaurants and tour operators are located. Only downside is that rooms are around a long square so very exposed to noise although a nice design
• Jonathan (10/5): Great place to relax - Handy situated with short walk to main shopping area. Family owned. Although limited english we were well looked after, the father was most helpful. It was lovely having a pool to relax in as the weather was very hot.

• Daniel (10/5): Owner goes above and beyond - As a hotel, was great, but the real blessing was that the owner went out of their way to ensure we had a great trip in atacama.

• George (10/5): - Excellent property! Nice clean and very safe hotel on good location. The breakfast was tasty and delicious. The staff is more than friendly. Special and a big thank you to the host GUILLERMO. He is the man with a great heart and soul. Help to guests to enjoy the stay in anyway. He doesn't speaks English but still you can communicate with him. He help to us a lot. Found people who speak English and we organised some tours. Thank you GUILLERMO for everything you did for us!

• Sinead (10/5): Perfect spot - It was so clean and maintained perfectly. The breakfast room/ kitchen was available to us at all times with free tea and coffee. The staff were amazing and so helpful. Location is great in a quiet street just 5 minutes walk from the main businesses.

• George (10/5): San Pedro hideaway - Convenient location, great views from the balcony and very friendly and welcoming staff.
• Callum (10/5): Comfortable rooms with top customer service - We had a great stay at Vicuña Lodge. Beds are super comfortable and warm, rooms cleaned to a high standard everyday. Modern bathroom with good shower. Good breakfast and they provide a takeaway one if you are out early. The female owner (Lilli?) was super welcoming and attentive. Helped us out with a very time sensitive airport transfer problem. She makes you feel very welcome and is always on hand for anything. Location is perfect as well - 5 minute walk from the main street. Would highly recommend as a base for doing the Atacama.

• Richard (6/5): A decent spot for Atacama based excursions - It's a bit hard to find but then that is how things are in San Pedro de Atacama. Good location-about a 10 min. walk to the main drag in the town. Room was nice and comfortable and had a big fan since it was coming into summer season and while daily highs of around 80, well, since there are never clouds here, things really heat up in the afternoon. The grandmotherly owner lives onsite and she was very sweet. Didn't have much time for the little pool but it was covered and since this is high desert the water temp was quite cool. I would recommend having earplugs with you since the owner has a little Yorkie like my mom does and they are the "yappiest" dogs on earth-it was quite annoying. It would be nice if they had a mini-fridge in the room since I think the daily rate is a bit high but at least I had access to put my beverages in the fridge in the breakfast area.
• john (10/5): - Accomodations in San Pedro are going to be pretty modest no matter where you stay. Vicuna Lodge makes up the difference with clean rooms, friendly staff, and a few little extras along the way
