Very weird breakfast if you want a cooked breakfast you have to cook it yourself in the mini kitchen I was a bit worried they might have asked me to make my own bed before leaving, but thankfully was not. I would definately stay here again but go elsewhere for breakfast

- Timothy (8/5): Good choice for Cherbourg - We stayed here two nights. We had seen parking listed on the hotel website, but upon arrival found that they do not have hotel parking. You are directed to a city lot behind the hotel that was completely full when we arrived at 6:30 PM. It took us circling the lot for about 20 minutes before we got a space to park. After a long day of travel this was not pleasant for us. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but it is kept in good condition for the most part. Staff was friendly and very helpful regarding places to eat in the area and other advice. We recommend it as a good place to stay in Cherbourg.

The hotel is Centrally located and within walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops. We had a port view room which was beautiful, lots of space and a very comfortable bed. The room has a fridge which was really useful. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice, thank you for a lovely stay, we would definitely come back!

My single room overlooked the water, which made for a peaceful and scenic start to each day. The location couldn’t be better: just a 30-minute walk from the ferry port, 10 minutes from the train station, and a bus stop right outside. The room was ideal for a short stay – clean, comfortable, and everything I needed. Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious buffet offering a wide selection. The dining area itself was clean, fresh and inviting, making it a great place to start the day. While I didn’t have dinner at the hotel, the menu looked very reasonably priced. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a central, well-priced place to stay with great views.

- Narumi (10/5): - パリからの電車のトラブルでとても夜遅く到着しました。フロント以外灯りが無いくらいの時間だったので、翌朝明るい時間に景色がとても良いことに驚きました。 観光案内所が近くだったので、そちらを利用しようと思っていましたが、フロントに様々なパンフレットがあり充分でした。また博物館の割引券なども取り扱っていたので助かりました。 部屋の設備は新しいものでは無かったですが、バスルームもベッドルームもとても清潔に掃除されていました。お部屋のお茶が、マグカップではなくタンブラーを置いてくれていたので、チェックアウトの前にお茶を入れて散歩に行くことができました。とても寒かったので助かりました。 朝食は海の見える1階のカフェでとることができます。パンもケーキもとても美味しいです。様々なスプレッドやハムやチーズがあって、とても楽しめました。

- absoluted (8/5): Very good hotel in the centre of Cherbourg ideal for discovering Normandy. - We stayed here for 5 nights B&B in September 2024 arriving Monday departing on Saturday . The staff were friendly and very helpful. This hotel is ideal it’s near the ferry port and city centre. Car parking is readily available. The room we had was on the 4 th floor with views of the marina. It was spacious clean with the normal accessories, tea & coffee etc. The continental breakfast was very good with a nice selection of fresh items available. I would recommend this hotel .
- Jonathan (10/5): - The first of three hotels on my vacation - and absolutely fine. The hotel was minutes away from the bus stop from the ferry - but just outside the door for everywhere else. Overlooking the harbour, it was surrounded by restaurants, A good breakfast and but a short walk to the train station.

Chambre qui donnait sur le port de plaisance, tres agréable ! Un petit-déjeuner copieux et varié (salé et sucré) qu'on aimerait avoir tous les matins, une position centrale et deux parkings gratuits a proximité, PAR-FAIT ! Nous y retournerons! Merci a toute l'équipe !

- ROBERT (10/5): - Bit of hike off the ferry as a foot passenger but perfect spot in surprisingly nice little town. Staff super helpful sorting out some travel plans, single room was smallish but very nice design and spotless. All the bars and cafes on doorstep its an absolute bargain.

- Dorsetdweller1 (6/5): No-frills hotel in a central location - Good things - the hotel is well-located in the centre of Cherbourg and is literally a few minutes drive from the ferry terminal. Car parking (v cheap) next to hotel. Friendly staff, good selection for breakfast, comfortable bed, reasonable room rates (although ours was 110€, perhaps due to music event in town). The not-so-good - ‘comfort room’ was pretty small, amenities a little on the basic side, location in town means with window open and events on, you’ll need your earplugs (though they cleverly supply these in the bathroom!). In general, if you are not particularly fussy and won’t be spending much time in your room then this hotel does the job. Location is really what makes this hotel worth it. I would stay again solely for this reason but would rather do so on a cheaper room rate.

- 398hughc (10/5): Another Great Night - I have stayed here many times but have also tried a couple of other Cherbourg hotels when the Amassadeur was full. I have to say this is still my favourite. The location in the town centre overlooking the marina is fantastic. The rooms are always clean and well appointed. The staff are friendly and most eager to assist. The breakfast buffet would put some 4 star hotels to shame!! You name it - the breakfast buffet has it. There is also a robotic dumb waiter trundling around taking plates to and from the kitchen - an unusual gimmick but does the job and entertains the youngsters (and me!). Don't miss this hotel - I guarantee you will not be disappointed - already booked my next visit!

Had an area where we could put our bikes, noticed that there were some tools and a pump available. Plenty of places nearby to eat overlooking the quay. Good breakfast with bread, pastries etc.

Bello anche il bagno, in marmo, con grande doccia Mi è piaciuta molto la scelta del design, colori e materiali. Ottima la colazione, molto variegata. Se proprio devo trovare dei difetti, la camera è un po' piccola, così come il lavabo. In generale comunque albergo consigliatissimo a Cherbourg.

L'équipe de L'hôtel est fabuleuse souriante serviable et nous a donné de bons conseils sur les restaurants à proximité. La chambre est propre confortable et fonctionnel. Il y avait même un plateau de courtoiserie et un mini frigo. Seul petit point faible l'insonorisation des chambres mais durant notre séjour il n'y avaitnpas trop de bruit malgré que l'hôtel était complet. Le petit déjeuner est trés copieux avec un trés large choix de produits frais en sucré et en salé.

- Verified traveler (6/5): 古さが気にならなければ、コスパ良し - 冷蔵庫があったのは良かった パワフルなドライヤーが付いていた シーツが生乾きの匂いがして臭かった 今回はたまたまホテル裏にある工事中の駐車場に無料で停められたけど、いつまで停められるか分からないので、車で行く人は事前に確認した方が良いかと 常時ある無料の駐車場はホテルから少し離れています

- Andreas (8/5): Budgethotell mitt i centrum - Trevligt, lite slitet, hotell mitt i Cherbourg. Nära till restauranger, köpcentrum och hamnen. Hotellet saknar AC men fläkt finns att låna. Lite instängd lukt på rummet, men välstädat. Hotellet erbjuder frukostbuffé som är helt okej ut franska mått, men som europé saknar man vissa saker såsom bacon, äggröra, fler sorters pålägg och skivad hårdost. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal som talar bra engelska.

- Arno (8/5): Nice hotel in the center of town - Cherbourg is a nice little village with mixed crowds, neither upperclass or run down. Hotel Ambassadeur is conveniently in the center. Hotel is compact, rooms are small but sufficient. There's no airco and it can be a bit noisy on the streets so opening the window is not always an option. Breakfast is fine and the staff are helpful.
