Guest Reviews
- Benjamin (8/5): - We were off peak so the restaurant wasn’t open all of the week but if it had been open it would’ve been good to have it open at eight or half past so we could make more of the day.
The stay was excellent and good value for money
- Maruf (2/5): - Says double bed but it’s not standard double bed it’s smaller than double bed. 4 feet not 4’6”. Struggled to sleep as a couple. Very uncomfortable and disappointing.
- Abdul (10/5): - We stayed at Tolroy Manor with our four kids and it’s a lovely family-friendly place. During our stay there were a few power cuts over two nights, which disturbed sleep as the emergency lights came on. The apartment was also quite small, more like caravan size, and there’s no free WiFi. Overall, though, we had a positive stay and would recommend.
- Peter (6/5): Tolroy Manor Park - Well where do start.
When we arrived at 2pm we were told that the chalet wasn’t ready and was told to come back at around 4 pm.
There are 100 chalets on the site.
The outside areas are nice if not big enough for the amount of people that stay there.
The swimming pool is small and you only get 45 minutes of time also you can not just go there you have to book a time slot the night before.
My chalet, where to start
You couldn’t open the fridge tidy as it was too close to the worktop, the settees provided are the most uncomfortable I’ve ever sat on, the bath had a crack in it. The beds were very comfortable, the bedrooms were good when we arrived on Monday on warm sunny afternoon, but when we woke up on the Thursday morning it was raining I went downstairs to put the kettle on and the wife called me and said have you seen the mould in the bedrooms, so I went to look and got my camera and took photos of the mould. My only conclusion is that on Monday when we arrived and told to wait, must have been that the cleaners noticed the mould and cleaned it up as mould doesn’t appear that quickly and extensively in three days.
So I went to reception reporting the problems and left a day early.
I would not recommend this holiday site.
- Paul (8/5): Motorcycle trip. - Great place to stay, staff was very helpful. Was off peak, but a great location for touring out on the motorcycle. Hopefully be back soon.
- Michael (10/5): Great find.. - Great place to explore cornwall Accomodation is well equipped and a welcome home from home to come back too and chill after a days exploring visited out of holiday season so cannot review resturant and entertainment but me and my older son used the bar and enjoyed the pool table and a pint after a day off site.. shop had all the essentials needed and check in faultless..
- Srinivasan (6/5): - The property itself was very clean, new carpets, kitchen, clean bed and linen. Well maintained lawn and plants nice surroundings. It's the facilities that looks dated. There were No exhaust fans in kitchen and toilet. Fridge freezer and basic utensils in kitchen were very handy.
The advertised picture shows 2 level house with a triangle shaped but the property given to us was a terraced property which I would not have surely booked if shown on the website so that bit is misleading.
Tried swimming pool and sauna which was clean but looked dated. I did not try the entertainments and food to comment. The staff were very friendly.
- M (8/5): An excellent base - An excellent base for our exploring.
Very lovely friendly helpful staff, especially in the restaurant.
l was very concerned to find bathroom downstairs. Although this would not matter to most people I have urinary issues.
It would have been nice to have a little more private outdoor space.
- Perry (8/5): - Out of town themed park aimed at family holidays, pleasant stay limited food options at the restaurant.
- Paul (8/5): 4 Night Stay - Nice comfortable unit in a secluded woodland area. Didn’t use any of the on site facilities but excellent base to stay.
- Victoria (10/5): Great weekend - The chalet was very clean and well equipped. Great stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Reception was quite and efficient in getting us booked in.
Property was overall well equipped and facilities for the children was very good.
A couple of downsides ....... for two days the indoor pool was shut due to no life guard !
Hopefully for the future they can get that sorted before next year as a lot of children were very disappointed.
The car park - a great idea to park your car near the properties but the noice in the evening was horrendous. We were in Strawberry Hill and our property was next to a path and the gravel car park.
People coming back from club house “shouting, screaming ....... not good when you know you have to be up early because of the children !
Maybe management/ security could monitor the noise.
I’m not normally negative but just a few pointers.
- Lynda (8/5): Holiday at strawberry, 24th June/1st July - We had a lovely week, but just found the seagulls, very noisy at 4o”clock in the morning
- Ramunas (8/5): Family stay - It was nice area, things for children to do, the nearest town with beach was good as well. Windows in the rooms were little mouldy, but overall was ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Need a car as no buses from park to Hayle, therefore had to use Taxis, but site and accommodation was good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, comfortable self catering units with ample parking and friendly reception staff
- Michael (10/5): Bring your towels as this is not provided - Warm and homely. Great living accommodation with all you need for cooking accessories .
- Dong (10/5): Nice holiday pare close to sightseeing in Cornwall - Minack theater, Mine heritages, Lands End, The Lizard points, beautiful beaches are all around half hour drive, the holiday park provide excellent facilities for you to relax, staff are very friendly, especially delicious breakfast (from 9 am) and dinner (till 9 pm) served daily.
- Chami (8/5): Nice & Quiet - Not too far from the attractions. Would recommend a visit to Landsend and St Michael’s Mount which is a drive not too long. Wish the hotel had a bigger pool and a gym. And a mop in the lodge so that we could keep it nice and dry.
Rest all ok. Thanks
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice Holiday park, staff were great, perfect for a long weekend.
- Peter (10/5): Peaceful value for money - This is a fabulous place. And with such a good out of season deal, it was peaceful without being empty.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Gold Compact House - We stayed in the Gold Compact House and we couldn't fault it at all. It was very clean, the house was all modern and updated apart from the bathroom... I felt this needed some fresh grout/ silicon in places. Can't comment on the pool, restaurant or entertainment as we didn't use any of these. We would stay here again.
- Joe (8/5): - Windows could do with sorting out as they leak and mould is growing on them!
- mark (6/5): Working away from home - Construction workers working away from home so for us boys it's ok but it's not somewhere I would holiday it's just overall run down tired and depressing throughout really.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Who do I complain to? - I would like to know who to contact to make a claim for compensation? Thank you
