- Natali (5/5): - Staff is really great and helpful Old and tired hotel with dirty rooms, everything is old and need a renovation. Just for 1 night ,in case you don't have choose .More than 200 dollar per night is too much ,even for Israel prices.

- RohanChristian (8/5): nice view of the city from the top of the mountain. - located at the heights , nothing around just residential areas. break fast spread was good, dinner was ok. rooms are good well maintained . the hall ways smell of smoke sometimes. break fast was in a huge room with a sitting capacity of more than 100 people. limited options but taste was good.
- 955s (8/5): Nice Hotel with very devoted staff and good food - As a Tour guide, I was there with a German group and they loved the hotel, the food, and the service. rooms are fine, the dinning room is clean and nice. Food was very good and the staff members were very polite and willing to help
- victorsJ6951OM (4/5): Disapointing beyond words... - The name Tabar is well known in the African travel market, so using their hotel in Nazareth was to have been a pleasure... unfortunately it was not. I was amazed to to be told my group of 50+ were the only ones staying in the hotel during a busy season.. i soon found out why...
1. my room on the 5th floor was horrible, im 5.7 but my head almost touched the ceiling when in the bath tub,
2. the room looked as if it had not been visited by a human in ages... A/C fixtures hanging out of the wall.
3. cleaning was done to the point of eye focus..
4. horrible smell of wet carpet all over the floor... i had to open the balcony door and leave it open all night every night for ventilation to clear the smell..
5. 90 rooms, group hotel, one elevator is inadequate.
Staff were very helpul and professional (thumbs up) Manager, I think its Sammy was a great host, thanks.
food was great, thanks chef...and team.
even with this... im sorry Tabar, i will not be returning.
Question... as a tour operator and hotel operator i believe you should have been full... i met a lot of pilgrims from your tour operations...why were they not in your hotel?
- RoxieSSRR (4/5): Dirty - Very old hotel and bad smelling
The door doesnt work properly în The rooms you cannot close it on The inside
Very poor Lunch and dinner
Insects oll over The place
Avoid at any cost horrible not safe and bad food
- ksT8865PS (2/5): Poor service and conditions - The room itself was OK. The best part of the rooms were the views and the balcony. The worst part was that it wasn't clean (cockroaches..). Sheets were not changed. The room key would keep deactivating. the lights would flicker frequently. The hotel claims to have WiFi, but it is only in the lobby. We couldn't get WiFi coverage in our rooms.
The breakfast was terrible. It consisted of mostly boiled hot dogs, shake and bake eggs, hard boiled eggs, and bread.
The location was not good. It is up on a mountain so you get good views, but it ends up being a 30-40 minute walk to the city center, and there are no taxis that frequently drove near the hotel.
The overall service was terrible (if not racist). They were always unhelpful. When asking for a taxi I received responses like "I don't have the number" or "Just go to the street and find one." When checking out they tried to charge me a higher rate than agreed upon.
Do yourself a favor a spend the extra $100/night on the Ramada inn.
- wassemb2017 (10/5): Tabar - It is a good place, the room was very clean, very good food, location not bad, its like 15minites walkin to the old city,, good choise for guest ho wants a good price for nice place............
I have to say that the team in the hotel was very helpful
- 918monica (8/5): One of the clean hotels - I had to lead a group of 55 people in a pilgrimige, so we spend the first night here.
The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the manager is doing his best to have satisfied tourists.
The dinner was good, enough variety of food, well cooked. We had a a birthday to celebrate and they brought a big cake for all the group. It was very nice atmosphere. What I missed was the lovely israelian breakfast with a lot of cheese, salads and so on. The rest was OK.
- N3154GSmm (8/5): Tired looking tucked in a corner at the top of a hill, no where to step out to for a stroll in the evening. - Small but clean rooms, nice toiletry but towels need replacing.
Good food, lovely atmosphere, staff appear genuinely pleased to see you
Stayed a night, nil negatives apart from ridiculously hilly setting.
Amazing view from my room.
- Aisha9966 (10/5): A Welcoming Place - There was serious flooding where we wanted to go in Israel. We were able to get two rooms in The Tabar Hotel in Nazareth. The manager was very welcoming and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The following day, They kept the breakfast buffet open for us because we were so tired.
The rooms were very simple. They were clean and well kept. We were in adjoining rooms so the door, although locked let noise in from the other side. A double door might help with this
We had a balcony overlooking Nazareth and it was beautiful. They have a bar restaurant downstairs. We had dinner there. Music a little loud, which they lowered but the food was great .
Although this is not a typical fancy place, it deserves 5 stars. People were welcoming, it was clean, beds comfortable, food good, and a beautiful view.
I would definitely stay there again.
Annie B,
- Eckart (6/5): Einfach, simpel, hellhörig und wenig Servie - Das Hotel ist abgewohnt, sowohl was die Bausubstanz also auch die Einrichtung angeht. Das Zimmer ist simpel, klein, ungemütlich. Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig. Das Frühstück sehr einfach.
- FOFIS (8/5): BUENA HUBICACION - LA COMIDA MUY RICA , LA ATENCION DEL PERSONAL SUPER BUENA Y TODO QUEDA CERCA MUY BUENA UBICACION
VOLVERIA A REGRESAR
- sylwiap753 (2/5): The worst hotel I have ever been - I would not consider this place as a hotel. It is extremely old, dirty and unpleasant. I am surprised that local authorities allow such a poor cleanliness to be offered for tourists.
I would say that the hotel room and bathrooms are from 50s or 60s maximum and never renovated. I have also strong doubts if the rooms are cleaned and if the sheets are changed.
- Ilanashemesh (10/5): Wonderful hotel - More than a 3star hotel. Smallish room but excellent bed and shower and cleanliness. Very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely lobby. Reasonable price and good location. Highly recommend.
- _P857JG (10/5): Very nice quite atmosphere - We enjoyed our stay, in calm neighborhood, close to Exit to main road outside of Nazareth,
Very beautiful and charming view from our balconies, near rooms, large lobby, free parking, friendly staff and indoor a la carte Restaurant
Great Experience
- MilliAlan (4/5): Chris - We are budget travellers and not particularly fussy.
However, the room stank of cigarette smoke and staff not pleasant. Argued price we found online and charged more.
Kept awake until 3 am due to very loud noise from the hotel's restaurant.
Another rip off in Israel at USD 110 for the night.
On upside, views from balcony were great
- DeapBlueSea (6/5): Not something special, but descent. - Rooms are descent. Clean bedsheets, but the bed mattress was torn! Quiet enough, good aircondition. No refrigerator. No care for any kind of decoration in the rooms, only at the ground floor where reception is. Food was okish. Restaurant area not something special but very spacious. Breakfast was very poor, launch was ok. Very kind people at service. Placed near the center of the city, which is an advantage. Generally it is a descent hotel, where somebody can have some rest between his busy hours of the day.
- Msekha (10/5): Beyond Expectations - My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. It is located at the top of a hill. We walked all the way up this hill to avoid cab fee. IF you are not on a budget, please take a taxi up the hill:) We hadn't eaten all day and were starving beyond your imagination. They offer a delicious buffet dinner. However, we caught the end of it. They dessert was all gone, but fortunately the actual dinner food was still left. They have mixed veggies, potatoes, chicken, beef, salads..etc. It was very delicious. Because the dessert was all gone, they brought out 3 different types of desserts for us with a fruit platter!!! I felt like they treated us like family. We got a very warm and welcoming feeling from the hotel staff. I was so happy. I've been travelling and away from family for a month and this is the first time I felt like I was treated like family from a hotel!
The room were amazing. This is a new hotel so it is expected to have very clean rooms. They also have a flat screen TV and good size bathroom with a/c in the room. We would most definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who is planning on visiting Nazareth.
It is a home away from home. Thank you for feeding us so well:) Made my week!!
- DonatoI (8/5): very nice and friendly stay - good food - the hotel is situated in good position on the top of El Mutran at about 20 minutes wolking from the city center. Quite plase to stay and rest. Lovely friendly admosfere, most of the employers
speak English, France and Italian. Rooms are confortables with A/C bathroom and balcony most of them overlooking Nazareth. Excelent good and fresh food with many kinds of vegetables breads and halvah. I suggest this hotel for individuals that are going for a break to Nazareth and Galilee.
Shadia and Wissam are always redy to help clients and to give them the best hospitality
- maddorf3 (8/5): A really nice stay with friendly service and breathtaking views. - Although the Grand New is a little bit off the beaten path- it was well worth the extra walking to get there. The hotel is located on the top of El Mutran which is a road but also a huge hill. Ask any cab driver to take you there - the uphill walk is pretty steep (downhill much easier- about a 25 min walk to city center; 10 min cab ride). I arrived and Wassam was extemely nice friendly and helpful. I received a ten percent discount at the restaurant next to the hotel -Diana's- which was extraordinary and I highly recommend eating there.
The room was nice with wooden flooring- a nice sized bathroom and a balcony overlooking Nazareth. This was the most breathtaking part. Because of the hotel's unique location watching the sunset over Nazareth was beautiful. If I there was one drawback it was that the sheets on the bed weren't the most comfortable - but this is Israel and for $75/night the price was right.
In the morning - I overslept but the front desk called me to tell that they had breakfast (included) waiting for me in the dining hall. This had never happened to me before and I was very thankful that they woke me up as breakfast was a great spread of vegetables breads and halvah.
All in all a great stay and a great experience.
