Guest Reviews
- Roam12095371207 (10/5): Amazing hotel - I usually don't write reviews, but I will for this one. I stayed for two weeks in this wonderful hotel in December 2023. I requested a particular room with the church view, and they accommodated for my request with ease. Location is amazing on a very quiet street. Clean, cozy, and only 10 mins walking from the red square. I highly recommend this hotel.
- Lilia (10/5): - Love this place, very family like
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice small cozy boutique hotel. Friendly staff, yum breakfast.
- Sterniman (10/5): We go again. - The breakfast was amazing, home made like. The service was excellent. Friendly staff, top location, very quiet! Nice room design. Our room had a huge bathroom. Location near restaurants and bars.
We will go again. Had never such a central and quiet room in Moscow.
- Vitali (10/5): Superb location and service - I consider myself to be a rather hardcore-traveller due to both business and leisure activities, and I have to admit that this hotel truly deserves nothing but warm recommendations.
Room was fresh and clean, staff was polite and helpful yet not too pushy as it often happens elsewhere. Breakfast area was rather relaxing and the food was pretty close to perfection.
Should you look for a perfect location in the very heart of Moscow - this is your place. I’ve stayed at hundreds hotels during my life and this one is easily on my TOP-5 list - hands down!
- Yury (10/5): Good choice - This nice hotel is located in a historic building. Good facilities, convenient location. Friendly staff. Excellent mattress and bed linen. Delicious breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice staff and location.
Breakfast needs to be «improved».
- paul (10/5): Moscow - Amazing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Its homey ❤️
- Ema_11_2013 (10/5): Ottima posizion - I spent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel. The location is great, since it's a 15-minute walk from the red square and very close to a street full of restaurants and bars.
Also very close to a metro station.
At the same time it's located in a very quite street and neighborhood.
Its home furnishing looks really good with some nice details and everything is very clean.
People working there are also very helpful.
Another pro is the possibility to be picked up and dropped off the the airport at any time of the day with a very comfortable car.
- ginsengNewYork (4/5): VERY DISAPPOINTING. TERRIBLE VALUE. - Stayed 2 nights over New Year holidays ( during a 15 days stay in beautiful Moscow where we experienced several hotels). We LOVED Moscow but found this hotel inadequate. Far from a boutique hotel, this place is just style and no substance.
The high cost of our room #205, supposedly superior (270eu ) did not match the poor quality of the lodging (even though prices skyrocket in this very high season, which we are aware of).
Room 205 , one of the better rooms, is actually an attic room with low ceiling where we kept hitting our head. It is obviously a recurrent problem as they have glued some plastic protection on the angles...
The Kingsize bed is made of 2 single mattresses, a bit lumpy: sheets, ripped, aren't long enough, and you are provided with 2 small single duvets rather than one king size, hardly romantic. The room has plenty of natural light during the day but lacks lighting at night (I had to ask for one additional lamp to be able to read...)
We complained and were proposed another room the next day, room 101, very small and even darker.
It appears that all rooms are tiny, and the decoration, however stylish, doesn t make them look bigger.
(Eg. room 205 has huge drapes, a huge TV set, and a console that cramp up space).
We also had to ask for a heater as the room was quite cold and the reverse a/c was too weak to warm it up!
Apart from the rooms, the reception is ok, anonymous, nothing boutique about it. Again, nothing special on December 31st or January 1st:
Last year, our hotel had champagne at midnight for guests, as well as a stocking in each room with a Russian poem and chocolates for the New Year...
All in all, we were very disappointed. Even though the staff is nice ( Ivan is a gem, and Konstantin brought us cakes when he realized we were dissatisfied with the hotel), they cannot make up for mediocre rooms.
This was the most expensive, but the least impressive of the hotels we went to (we also went to the National, which is always great, and the Crowne Plaza a few blocks from Villa Kadashi, which is a wonderful business hotel with style, superb service, good restaurant and Spa at a very reasonable price).
We were glad to leave Villa Kadashi.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Emplacement très bon. Hôtel de petite taille, tranquille et calme
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location. Near the sights but in a quiet neighbourhood near lots of good food and conveniences. The room was a luxurious oasis with an amazing view of the church across the road.
- Federico (10/5): - Perfect boutique hotel
- shirellj (10/5): My home away from home - I come to Moscow regularly for business and I love this hotel. I'm always disappointed if its fully booked (which it often is).
The staff couldn't be more helpful and welcoming - today they even made me a very late breakfast! The hotel is in a very peaceful neighbourhood but close to Red Square and 10 minutes walk from lots of restaurants and the metro. The hotel itself is super quiet, the rooms are extremely comfortable (go for the deluxe as the standard is a little small), and unusually for Russia the wifi is excellent!
This week I had room service every night as I was too busy with work to go out for dinner, and the meals were delicious. Breakfast is also very good.
My only negative would be I wish they had more vegan options, and provided a mini bar with red wine in the room, but apart from that this hotel is perfect for me.
- elenab83 (10/5): Perfect stay - We are still here at Villa Kadashi, we arrived on Wednesday. The boutique hotel is very central, it’s more or less 15 minutes by walk from the red Square and San Basil Cathedral. Our room is very clean and nice, with coffee facilities and a lot of linens. It has a very comfortable bed and a bathroom with a beautiful shower. It is very silent too. The breakfast is very good, with a choice of various dishes, croissants and bread. A special mention goes to the people at the desk. They are very very helpful and nice! We absolutely recommend Villa Kadashi, and it will sure be our choice for a future stay here in beautiful Moscow. We really hope to be back again!
- Yayavar37 (8/5): Very clean Property Excellent service but - Stayed at the property for 4 nights in Sep 2019. The property is a small 20 rooms bed and breakfast place excellently run and managed. Offers one of the best cooked breakfast ever. This is an excellent place for business travellers. I would have easily rated it five star but for the following reasons.
1. I had booked the place thinking it is near Arbat Street. But it happened to be quiet a distance from Arbat street. As it turned out there is a non existent Villa Kadashi Hotel appearing on Google search near Arbat Street. I think the hotel management should take immediate steps to get this listing removed from google. I am giving them a benefit of doubt that they don't know.
2. The staff though excellent and extremely friendly is not geared to serve tourists as there is significant lack of info about tourist hotspots and tours.
3. Other than the above two points I can not find even a single thing to complain about. The front office manned by Pavel and Ivan during my stay was very supportive and happy to help. As a matter of fact Ivan went out of the way to explain to the taxi fellow how pressed I was on time for my 7.00 PM Swan lake at Bolshoi theatre, and I am sure it is only because of his intervention I was able to make it with one minute to spare.
If you are not a tourist wanting to stay near Arbat street, it is an awesome place with good location near Kremlin Square and very good vibes.
- VASILIS23 (10/5): Hotel in the heart of Moscow - If you go to Moscow you must stay to Villa Kadashi Boutique Hotel !!!
Suite room with great view. Very good breakfast.
Walk beside the river to get to the Red Square and enjoy the magnificent route....
Βeautiful Boutique Hotel.
Βeleive and live the fairy tale on this journey that was an experience of a lifetime for us.
- heatherjanice (10/5): Beautiful - We stayed in the villa for 3 nights after a long tour. This was a little oasis for us- calm, quiet and beautifully decorated.
Our room was beautiful- enough space for us and our suitcases. The bathroom was huge and lovely. The room was also lovely and beautifully decorated- very stylish. Bed was comfortable. It was very peaceful opening our window and listening to the people outside and the children from the school next door. At night there was no noise from the street.
Staff at the desk were very helpful, even carrying our suitcases up the stairs as the lift was broken for the whole of our stay.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing but was okay. We enjoyed drinks on the little outdoor terrace at night as the weather was superb while we were there.
Though a 15-20 minute walk into Red Square we liked being in a more local neighbourhood where we could walk to shops, cafes, restaurants and the Metro.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend.
- Valeriy (10/5): - Great location in the historical heart of Moscow, very nice environment and great breakfast.
- Federico (10/5): - Muy buena experiencia! Muy amables en el trato.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is in a quiet area which is nice if you don't mind a 15 to 20 minute walk to Red Square. The main hub where you would buy souvenirs etc would be a taxi ride away. The staff are pleasant. However one night we came in at 10.30 & asked for a drink from the bar to be told both bar & kitchen were closed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely building in a quiet area close enough to walk to red square and with access to the metro close by. An excellent base to explore this great city.
- 416nicolasv (10/5): small and beautiful hotel on good location - great boutique hotel, only 2 or 3 years old, in a calm street not far from the Moscva river and only 10 minutes walking from the Red Square and close to the Tretyakov museum. Standard chamber is clean although a bit small, bathroom is very good. The staff speaks good English. The breakfast is in the basement, you have to choose what you want and it is served at your table. There is no restaurant and there is a small bar next to the reception, but it is not so much used.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Eine wunderschöne Villa an bester Lage.
- 49cliver (10/5): True to name - boutique - This a great little hotel. Lots of 5 Star attributes.
Firstly, the room is spacious enough, and decorated in a luxury style you might have at home. Marble bathroom, etc.
Staff are friendly ! They speak reasonable English too. Very helpful.
Breakfast is a la carte. The Breakfast room has a TV screen that takes up the entire wall - playing tourist clips.
Just a short walk of around 30 minutes across the river to the Kremlin or Red Square
- Chen,Chiying (10/5): - Nice and cozy place to stay. The price pays off. However, it is somewhat difficult to find when you first arrive here. I will definitely choose this hotel again if I visit Mosow again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Klein, sauber, serviceorientoert. Früstück ala carte.
- EspenOl (4/5): A big disappointment - We stayed at this hotel for a weekend in June 19. At the first glance the room seemed niced (we arrived about 2am and was very tired). The next morning we found stains on the bedsheet, used soap bars in the bathroom, used shampoo in the shower, towelles which had been used and an old (you guessed it) bathrobe. The room didnt have any aircondition (the actual AC-unit was missing) either, even though this was included in the booking.
We complained to the staff the next morning and they changed our room that day. When we were checking out on Monday, they asked for full price and refused to give as a discount for the first room. They said that they would "investigate the case and came back with an answer and a possible refund at a later time (yeah right). They would throw the complain in the garbage. We had to call our booking agency and ask for help. After a long stand off with the staff and the manager, the manager agreed to give us 50 % discount for the first night.
The size of the breakfast was small and nothing to write home about. The so called "continental breakfast" was one boiled egg, three pieces small mozzerella, some cheese and some ham. It was a big disappointment. They had a small table of cereals, bread and milk but this was not refilled when it was empty.
The location was good and it was just a short walk to The Red Square.
- Roman (6/5): Lage Top, alles andere Flop - Trotz Kindergarten daneben, abends sehr ruhig. Kein Zimmerservice nach der ersten Übernachtung. Ein bestelltes Taxi vom Hotel kostete 2500RUB statt vereinbart 1500RUB. Hotel sollte besser mit vertrauenswürdigen Taxiunternehmen/Personen arbeiten.
- 522maritimegirl (10/5): A pure delight🤗 - What a totally lovely experience. Everything was just perfect . The location is within easy walking distance to Red Square and especially close to the Tretyakov Museum. The staff were memorable for their knowledge, help and kindness. They spoke excellent English, as well. The breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and delicious. Our room was comfortable and lovely and had everything we needed. We particularly liked the neighbourhood - right across the street was a beautiful church with golden domes reaching into the sky and gleaming in the sun. Restaurants and shopping were within a 10 minute stroll.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was perfect, short walk to Red Square, variety of restaurants nearby, Tretyakov Gallery very close
Staff amazing ... knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. They work hard to make your stay great.
Breakfast was a feast!
Room was really, really nice and comfortable. And quiet!!

- Michael (10/5): Städtetour Moskau - Sehr zentrale Lage, viele Gaststätten und Cafés in der Nähe. Wir haben alles zu Fuß erreicht.
Das Hotel ist klein, aber sehr fein.
- shirellj (8/5): Lovely boutique hotel in centre of Moscow - This is a lovely hotel, in a really quite neighbourhood of Moscow it’s south of the river and Red Square. The staff and friendly and speak good English, and the rooms are lovely. I had a suite and loved it - really comfortable bed, spacious, good working area, and luxurious bathroom.
Good location for exploring centre of Moscow and Red Square and its a 10 minute walk to streets with lots of restaurants,
My only negatives (and why I gave 4 stars and not 5) are that the breakfast is a la carte and doesn’t have any vegan options, there was also no way to veganise any of the dishes as they were heavy on eggs meat and dairy. Also no soya milk for making coffee. The other negative was the blinds / curtains in the suite didn’t shut out the light fully (one window I could not get the blind / curtains to full close) which is an issue at this time of year as sun rises very early.
But apart from that I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All was lovely, Great location, Clean, friendly staff, well appointed rooms.
- CaptAse (8/5): Good hotel - This is a good place to stay in Moscow center, but away from bysy streets. The rooms are well decorated, clean but pretty small. Room service menu is regular size, with russian specialities. Very quiet area around, good choice for travelers.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Baggiesguy (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Reasonably priced but excellent rooms and breakfast service.
South of the river but an easy and quick walk to Red Square, if you check the map and go the right way!
Taxis are cheap and so walk into the centre (only 15 mins max) in the morning but get a cab home. Easy.
In the evening there are plenty of restaurant and bars nearby to keep you fed and watered.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is superbly located for a short 15 minute walk into Red Square. Superbly clean and friendly and the reception staff, all english speaking, were always very helpful. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with all the essentials. We went in February and it was all super warm. Breakfasts were simple but varied with a lovely cup of coffee.
- Ana Maria (10/5): Ótimo hotel em Moscou. - Hotel boutique muito confortável. Equipe atenciosa e muito eficiente. Fácil acesso ao metrô. Fácil chegar à área do Kremlin à pé.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very confortable hotel, very clean and at 15mn walk to Red Square and Kremlin
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Brilliant location, great breakfast, friendly staff, great amenities but was far too hot and could not adjust - had to open the window ! Still a problem after engineer came
- anilt413 (10/5): Amazing hotel & great stay - An excellent choice for a good trip in Moscow.
It’s a boutique hotel, hugely comfortable, brand new and packed with top quality services.
Employees speak english and are very polite.
Breakfast is good and prepared on the spot.
But, the best thing of this place is it’s location: literally you can walk to Red Square and to almost all central major locations, in a city with 20mil people living there.
This hotel is a great choice and the street on which is located was completely restored in may 2018. Enjoy!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic private well located hotel, very nice, helpful friendly staff
- JensPerregaard (10/5): Simply pleasant - This is simply just a pleasant place to be. Service is underplayed, polite and attentive at the same time. It makes you feel welcome and also private.
It is a small hotel (no gym etc) and this is part of the charm. Breakfast is made to order and of great quality.
But most of all the location is great.
I will lucky be back.
- ksarman (10/5): really Nice - What a pleasure to stay here !
First for the location , the area is clean, with nice renovated buildings
5 mins far from here there is some restaurants , cafes and 2 metro stations
10 mins far from the hotel you ll be in the heart of the City, the Red Square !
Stunning
Room , 105 , is comfortable, spacious enough, nice view on the sublime church , perfect !
The breakfast is good
But the best on Kardashi Villa is Slava the receptionist , he speaks a really good English , he is friendly and he is the only Russian that I met during my trip who knows exactly the meaning of services
Congrats to him !!!!
- Peter (10/5): Unique hotel experience in Moscow - I think this hotel is quite unique in Moscow as I’m not aware of any other high quality boutique hotels in the city. The property is very recently refurbished to an excellent standard. The rooms are very nice and well-equipped (and reception seem able to provide whatever isn’t in the rooms). The building has real character and is in a very nice neighbourhood, convenient for central Moscow and also well-situated for taxis to and from Domodedovo. Can be slightly tricky to find the first time, but a bit of persistence and attention to Google maps pays off. Staff friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
- CARLOS F C (10/5): Recomendável - A equipe do hotel é bastante atenciosa e a limpeza é impecável.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Sehr gute Lage!
- Annika (10/5): Lyxigt boende i centrala Moskva - Litet, pittoreskt, lyxigt hotell i centrala Moskva.
Individueller Service!
- Paul (8/5): A good modern newly appointed hotel - This is a great hotel near the Kremlin and Red square. Comfortable clean rooms, really well decorated and appointed. The staff are very professional and helpful. The food in the restaurant is very good and well cooked, a variety of styles of food available. This is an easy hotel to be in - relaxed and modern in atmosphere. The staff work hard to make your stay very enjoyable.
- Natalja (10/5): a remarkably stunning hotel - it's very hard to stay 100% satisfied with a hotel but this time it happened to us. I can't say even one bad word about it. when I've seen a rating 5 out of 5 I was a bit suspicious but now I'm giving the same rating to Villa Kadashi boutique hotel in Moscow. Everything you need from the hotel when travelling -location, reasonable price, tidiness, staff, service, comfort, quietness and the same time short distance to the city centre this hotel has it all.
we were absolutely amazed by this hotel and we truly believe that it played a huge role in our unforgettable impressions from the trip to Moscow.
- Alison (10/5): Great hotel and perfect location - Stayed for 2 nights as first visit to Moscow and what a brilliant choice of hotel. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Room was very comfortable and after a day of walking a very restful sleep was had. Very attentive staff in the bar in the evening for meal or glass of vodka. Would definitely return to the Villa Kadashi. Thank you for a very special stay.
