- Jasmeo (10/5): Boutique Hotel - Extraordinary Service! - From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like we were at home. The staff all introduced themselves and since it's a boutique hotel, it was easy to remember them all. Our room was amazing with a spectacular view of the water front, the arena and the ocean. Absolutely beautiful. Our stay included breakfast and whether your to the continental route (pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh bread with all the toppings) or ordered off the traditional cooked breakfast options - it was absolutely delicious. The hands-down best Eggs Benedict I've ever had...it's all in the hollandaise sauce and I could have drank that by the gallon. Huge thank you to Sheila and Elton - the two best managers around and all their staff, who are clearly hired based on their exceptional customer service skills. Highly recommend this boutique hotel for you home away from home!

- ElsaCL (10/5): Charming & cozy - We were checked-in upon our early evening arrival, shown what’s available in their lobby, including wine, & the breakfast area by Ms. Sheila. She offered us complimentary cake🍰 “made with love and passion”😊 then brought us to our room & showed us where things are as well as explained the bucket in the shower. Ms. Zukiswa, Ms. Melody & Ms. Amahle served us coffee, delicious hot chocolate, flaky croissants, “crumple” pancake, omelette for their complimentary breakfast. They also have cheeses, cold cuts, pastry, yogurt, cereals. Their rooms are clean & comfortable with bathrobes, slippers, coffee, tea, bottled water & a balcony with chairs. Our choices for lunch were nicely presented, tasted good, right-portioned & reasonably priced Our housekeeper changed our towels, made up & turned down our bed & placed towels & our slippers on both sides of our bed😊. Mr. Elton shared useful information about our safety in CT, transportation & concierge services that they provide & answered our questions. They are all guests’ comfort-oriented!

Free breakfast was great with plenty of options. Never had time for their in-house spa but you should try it. I used hotel-arranged transport and Uber. Uber was always just minutes away and probably cheaper. This location is highly recommended.

It was exactly what we were looking for something small and boutique away from the big chains. Breakfast was amazing and the cake of the day was always an exciting treat once back at the hotel. The driver was so courteous and ensured we got everywhere we needed safely and also took us back. Highly recommended

The hotel and its staff exceeded all my expectations: helpful, friendly, and efficient. The driving services were an added bonus, and the kindness of the driver made a real difference. I will forever be grateful for making it possible for my family to attend the Springbok vs. Australia game. It gave my son so much confidence knowing you were nearby. I highly recommend this hotel and its wonderful team.

Delicious breakfast, with friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are clean and bright. The location is very convenient—within walking distance of a shopping mall, a nice beauty salon, and coffee places. It is also easy to reach by taxi. There is an option for a spa. Every day at 5 p.m., they offer a complimentary small snack with tea or coffee. Thank you for memorable gift in the end of our stay !!!! It was very thoughtful! Definitely coming back !

Good clean and relatively large room, lovely casual breakfast and most importantly wonderful friendly staff. We would like to make particular mention of the staff at Treehouse, who made our stay most memorable. Special call out to Melody, Sheila, Elton and the Chef (sorry didn’t catch his name) for looking after us. Would not hesitate to stay again

The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was very good! It is close to all of the sites and the waterfront area of Cape Town but is in a nice, quiet location. Not touristy like the Waterfront. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Situated on a quite side street but only 10 mins walk from the V&A Waterfront the hotel has an ideal location. There are also places to eat just at the bottom of the road if you don't want to walk too far. The rooms are clean and well quipped and there is even a small swimming unheated pool for Summer days. We did bed and breakfast and the food was very good. Excellent continental selection with some lovely fresh pastries and selection of fresh fruits. You could also have a hot breakfast if you wanted and everything we tried off this menu was also extremely good. The staff were all friendly and very helpful and they had their own secure parking which was a plus. All in all a wonderful stay.
- S119234 (10/5): A really exceptional hotel for a holiday in Cape Town - We had a really exceptional stay at Tree House Boutique for a few nights of our honeymoon. Elton, Shelia and the team are really fantastic and create such a welcoming atmosphere which made our stay here so memorable. The rooms are very well looked after and of a great size. The hotel is also in a great location - walking distance to the V&A and the Cape Town CBD including Bo-Kaap. Green Point also has lots to offer in terms of bars and restaurants; a great spot! We also really appreciated having bookable (at very reasonable prices), comfortable, transport available with Peter who was just superb and always available to drop us off or pick us up from our restaurant reservations or trips. Overall a highly recommended hotel for a lovely stay!

A dinner recommendation - done and they took us there! Reservations to attractions - taken care of! - CMCPhiladelphia_PA (10/5): Best hotel in Cape Town! - I just checked out of this hotel and couldn’t wait to write a review. This is one of the best (if not the best) hotels ever. Let’s start with the staff who were so accommodating and friendly. Elton, Mercy (who checked us in), Melody, Phila etc (sorry I didn’t get everyone’s name) were terrific. They welcomed us like we were family. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed. The common areas were neat and clean. We particularly loved the artwork. The breakfast was filling and delicious. The location was superb - within walking distance to promenade, waterfront and city centre. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It’s nice to know that the owners also make donations to charity to support school children and conserve water due to past droughts. I highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend. Thank you to the team for making our brief stay in Cape Town so memorable.
- jameshaddan (10/5): A Wonderful Property - I had the pleasure of staying at The Treehouse Boutique Hotel the last week in March 2025 and stayed 8 nights. I highly recommend this hotel - It’s conveniently situated in Green Point, near restaurants and the V&A Waterfront (I walked there a number of times). I felt like a part of the neighborhood after a few days and had my favourite restaurant and gelato place (shoutout to Mano’s, Hudsons and Moro Gelato). The Treehouse is my kind of place as I prefer boutique hotels, not giant impersonal resorts. The entire team, including: Sheila, Evance and Elton took absolutely great care of me. I stayed in a corner sea view room and woke up early every morning so that I could see the stunning sunrise view across the waterfront and Table Bay. Thank you to everyone for making my stay so lovely.

- sgc5561 (8/5): Views Views Views! - Our first stop in the western cape as part of our 3.5 week trip. Chose this hotel as we had done the Waterfront already and wanted something more suburban and in a queit neighborhood. The hotel is right at the top of a fairly steep hill but not unmanageable and it will do you good walking back from drinking in the waterfront area :-) Its about a 15min walk to that area so not difficult. We had Room 10 which was pretty huge even though it was the lead in room. Great views over the tops of other building and onwards to the sea. Had a small balcony as well and was great for a night stay. Elton the manager was really friendly as were all the staff, even the chef came out one morning to offer my wife the same juice she had the previous day when she asked for it. Great start to the holiday and one you should seriously consider.
- dandkwhitehead (10/5): A few days in Cape Town! - What a wonderful surprise we had when we checked into this boutique hotel! We did randomly choose it based on location however we were so pleased once we had arrived. In the middle of the city but tucked up and away from the hustle and bustle. We did start out with some complications on our booking but after calling the hotel direct it was immediately rectified - so this was a good start. A warm welcome, a beautiful room, great service, lovely breakfasts on a pretty tree covered patio with a friendly helpful team made it all more of a great choice. Would we return? Yes! Would we recommend? Yes!
- TheBoulArch (10/5): Peaceful Oasis in Cape Town - On arrival, Cape Town International appeared a bit chaotic so we were glad to have pre-arranged a private transfer through the hotel. Met by Peter and transported to the hotel with the minimum of fuss and in his understated way, Peter provided a brief history lesson as to the birth of the Mother City and pointed out and explained the main city landmarks. At the hotel, we were met by the irrepressible Sheila and given an orientation tour before being shown to our room. The room was beautifully designed with some unusual features - exposed brickwork, recycled lampshades etc. - very comfortable and very niche. Plenty of choice at breakfast with Elton taking good care of all guests. This was our first stay at a boutique hotel and we cannot fault it. Perhaps the pool area is small and the water is freezing but that would be overly picky. Perfectly situated in a quiet residential area and a 15 minute walk from the V&A Waterfront - we would recommend without hesitation.
- Cousy14 (10/5): Beautiful Oasis in the Middle of Green Point - What an amazing little boutique hotel tucked away in the middle of Green Point. The rooms were nice and comfortable, but the highlights of The Tree House is the oasis of an outdoor space and the tremendous service. You won't find a nicer more accommodating staff. I had unfortunately become sick during my stay, and they could not have been more helpful, including finding a doctor to come to the hotel to treat me. The location is really great as well. While it's a little bit of a walk uphill from the main road, it's location gives you access to some fantastic restaurants (Bao Down and El Burro), bakeries (Jason Bakery) and the best Italian sandwich shop (Giovanni's). Also walking distance to Green Point Park which is beautiful. Pro Tip: grab a picnic lunch from Giovanni's and go eat in the park. I'd highly recommend Tree House and can't wait to return.

None of the detached formality of a big chain. The rooms were clean, and well appointed, breakfast was always good - we are vegan and the team went out of the way to ensure we had a good choice. The waterfront was in easy walking distance.Wwe would recommend the Tree House to anybody staying in Cape Town
- jedroh (10/5): Fabulous Boutique Hotel - Marvellous Staff - We arrived at 8.00am in the morning, expecting to drop off our luggage and go out for the day, only to we welcomed and told great news your room is ready. We had a welcome drink and breakfast at which point Elton informed us of all the things available to to in Cape Town. We took advantage of his immense knowledge and used to hotel, via Elton to arrange absolutely everything for us, from High Tea at Mount Nelson Hotel, safari, shopping trips, journey around the peninsular and the hotel shuttle with Peter who dropped and picked us up from anywhere in town. I cannot write all the wonderful things the staff did for us and how great there service is as it would take all day. Special shout out to Elton, Evance, Melody and Sheila. Lorraine and Friedrich, you have a beautiful hotel with beautiful staff, we cannot wait to come back to South Africa and sample your amazing country and your wonderful hotels ( The Living Journey Boutique Hotels ) again.
- LouP99 (10/5): Wonderful stay, with exceptional staff - Just returned from a wonderful week at the Tree House Boutique Hotel. We stayed in the Lookout Suite which was spacious and comfortable, with amazing views from the 2 balconies. Plenty of space to sunbathe or just sit with a glass of wine in the evening. We were shown a warm welcome and given wonderful care by all the staff during our stay - particular mention to Elton, Sheila and Melody. During our stay we took two, full day private tours, arranged through the hotel - the peninsular tour and a day wine tasting in Stellenbosch & Franschoek. Ismail was a wonderful informative guide, tailoring the trips to our interests, including a spontaneous diversion to visit Newlands Cricket Ground. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in town.

We were greeted with fresh drinks, given a tour and taken personally to our room. My only 'complaint' was that we had a room overlooking the road which was quite noisy on a Saturday night but the darkness of the room and other amenities made up for this.

- Colin (10/5): Thank you Friedrich and the Tree Tops Team - I can’t rate this hotel highly enough. The staff were so friendly and the attention to detail Friedrich and his team went to was superb! A typical example was how the chef baked a different cake each day for guests to eat in the afternoon when they got back from sightseeing - all at no extra cost! Don’t hesitate to book this boutique hotel.

There were restaurants just down the road for dinner (a rather steep hill) and their breakfast was really good with cooked options. Our room was spacious, modern and very clean. Highly recommend.

I loved how they’re using the buckets to catch unused water to use other things for it. I should have asked for more buckets because the water took a little longer to warm up. Front staff was amazing and very helpful! The ONLY downside was the street because all my Uber drivers complained how hard it was to get out of it since it was at the top of a small hill, and there was not a lot of room to reverse to get out.

- Marilyn (10/5): Lovely on a hill - This is a beautiful modern yet rustic hotel with stunning views. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Amazing breakfast and afternoon happy hour. It’s a lovely safe part of town called Green Point, 15 min walk to the Waterfront. I’d Uber back. The hill is quite steep and the ride is a couple of dollars. Two things that could be improved is their Wi-Fi, it was impossible to transfer data for work and often it did not work at all. The furnishings are nice but the mattress was very hard. - Jonathan (10/5): - From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out everything was beyond our expectations. We were treated like family. The room was very spacious and up to date. Large tv, nice furnishing, bathroom spotless. There was always someone wanting to help, breakfast was amazing each morning, a nice bar, and a different homemade cake every evening. My wife got a massage at the spa and she described it as the best spa she ever had. We booked our excursions with the hotel also. They were private and we had so much fun with Ismail. He is Godsend, very knowledgeable, caring and entertaining. Mcgcini was a great bartender and helpful with anything we needed. He always had a smile and made us feel like family. We have met family for life! The staff at Treehouse really made us feel welcomed, safe and was the highlight to our trip. I wish I could remember everybody name but they all were so great!!!! I will definitely stay here when we return because we will return. This hotel/staff were gems and we really appreciated our time there. Don’t hesitate book here, you won’t regret it. 5 star hotel and it doesn’t lack in any area. Staff always went above and beyond. Someone even helped fix my wife’s broken suitcase and another helped her with her hair. We were so sad when it was time to go but we plan on keeping in touch!!

The intermittent power outage was annoying (as they do not have a generator) but usually it was at times when we weren’t there or didn’t need wifi. Wifi was decent in the room, spotty on the balcony. No fridge in the room unfortunately. The hotel patio/common area was quite nice, with a little pool and some lounge chairs. Complementary continental breakfast was sufficient with hot food available upon request. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
- Allisson (10/5): - Had a lovely 4 night stay as this hotel. It is well situated within Cape Town and offers a very quiet and private stay.. The staff were all excellent and very helpful, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was fresh and tasty. The afternoon tea offering was delicious and the afternoon bar was a great addition. Parking was alittle difficult at times but there is also free street parking. Would highly recommend this stay.

The hotel is really well located in Greenpoint, with good transport links. the V&A is an easy walk away (only during daylight hours). I wish we could have stayed longer.

Transportation drivers were fantastic. Ishmael even waited for us 1 hour past meeting time when our hike down Table Mountain took much longer than expected. This hotel was in walking distance to many places to eat. There was a fabulous bar and grill at the bottom of the hill from the hotel (can't remember what it was called) but we ate here every day of our 4 day stay! We will definitely stay at Tree House Boutique Hotel again if we are ever in South Africa again!

Thank you so much for your hospitality. Beautiful room and a great view of the sea. Great tea, coffee and home made cake available in in the afternoon. If driving put in 32 high Level Road as you park from here, and walk down steps to hotel. V and A waterfront 10-15 walk. Good central location. Lovely breakfast choice.

Room was clean ans spacious with a nice shower room. Didn't have chance to appreciate the swimming pool hut the breakfast was very nice with a large buffet offered as well as a variety of cooked and made to order breakfasts.

Unfortunately our negative was the room was noisy & light came in too early to wake us up from room #9 as there was no bathroom wall. Strangely despite the fantastic block out blinds & sound proof sliding doors for the balcony, there was no bathroom wall so the shower window which had no soundproofing from the busy street above or any blinds to shelter the morning light meant our day was forced to start early.

The only slight issue I had was that I could hear people walking with heels above me - but you're probably going to get that in most boutique hotels. Highly recommend staying at the Tree House. It's a short walk to the V&A Waterfront and a short drive to most other places. Also - highly recommend the Township tour set up by the hotel - great way to see a different part of Cape Town.
- Samantha (10/5): Just book it! - This is an incredible hidden gem. The staff are so lovely and attentive and think of the smallest things. The afternoon cake and sweets left out for you to help yourself to are wonderful. The property is loved and it is obvious. Location is good. It is about a fifteen minute walk downhill to the V&A Waterfront. Very safe - I was a lone female traveller and was absolutely fine. I didn’t brave it back though mainly because the hill up to the hotel is very steep (and I’m lazy). Would not hesitate to book again next time I’m in Cape Town.
- MR HORSTHUIS (8/5): Hotel stay at green point Cape Town - I always try and give honest and helpful feedback. I was upgraded to the herb suite from a front facing sea view. Unfortunately I have to say the suite was very dark with not much natural light. On the positive side it was nice and big but I just thought that it didn’t compensate for the darkness. Breakfast,great plenty of choice. Now here comes the problem, yes it does have a swimming pool but more like a big plunge pool but very embracing.Also with the hotel having 9 rooms there needs to be more sun loungers but they had only 4 simply not enough.More thought needs to go on the outside space. Overall a nice hotel that just needs tweeking

- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel staff were great and the breakfasts exceptional. For our hot breakfasts we chose eggs benedict and scrambled eggs wrapped in salmon, both very tasty. The hotel location is very close the waterfront and central in Capetown. The hotel rooms are very new and clean, and we really enjoyed the artwork around the hotel! In the distance outside near the pool you can see Robben Island clearly in the ocean. A very pleasant stay for 2 days. The only slight difficulty is the parking but we were able to find a spot both nights on the street near the entrance so next time we'd ask to book a car spot inside the hotel garage in advance. Loved our stay in beautiful Capetown.

We received an unexpected upgrade to the secret garden suite where the bed was extremely comfortable although being next to the dining area meant you could hear the staff preparing breakfast. A good selection on the breakfast menu which was very tasty and well-presented. I would certainly book again if my travels bring me back to Cape Town.
