• Christine (9/5): Una sosta bella - È un vecchio palazzo nel centro storico di Castiglione di Sicilia che è stato ristrutturato molto bene, la camera e il bagno sono molto belle e funzionale. Posteggi comodamente vicini. Abbiamo ricevuto due tre ottimi consigli da parte della host per aperitivo e cena. Essendo un vecchio palazzo nel centro di paese il bagaglio bisogno portare su delle scale lunghe visto che non esiste un montacarico.

Google took us up some streets that got narrower and narrower until we couldn’t get through. We phoned the hotel and one of the people there phoned us and guided us. Back down and up through the many streets until we reached the Cento Tari. We did have a major rooming problem. Our friends had to have separate beds and booking.com had not passed this on to Centro Tari.

Etna from the balcony in our room, and even better views from the rooftop deck! The room was comfortable. The place is in a very convenient location in the historic part of town. I love walking the narrow, winding streets and looking at all the sights and old buildings. Plus, close to some very good restaurants. The owners were very nice and helpful. Nothing not to like. 😊

Les lits, la vue depuis la terrasse, la décoration raffinée, tout était vraiment super. Il faut absolument s'y arrêter au moins 1 nuit! Si vous partez tôt le matin, le petit commerce situé à coté de l'hotel offre de bons petits déjeuners pas chers! Je recommande vivement cet endroit ! tout était super ! absolument rien à redire !

• gulcin (10/5): Best possible place to stay when visiting Etna! - I cannot think of a better place to stay when visiting Etna. The property was beautiful, at the top of the one and only Castiglione di Sicilia. I woke up to the snowy hills of Etna and enjoyed the views from my balcony. I wished I could stay longer and enjoy it all more. The bed was extremely comfortable, room perfect size and super clean.

The staff was fabulous, given us plenty of ideas of things to visit around and places to eat . Breakfast was fabulous- best coffees of our stay in Sicily! The village is beautiful and a joy to explore. There is also an amazing big terrace at the top for everyone- a real germ. We loved our stay :) nothing

Fascinating walk around the castle with amazing view. It also leads to a charming wine bar & wine shop. Great view of Etna from the terrace. Good food in town.
• Marie Catherine (10/5): Magnifique séjour dans un très beau village - Très bel hôtel dans un immeuble restauré avec goût dans le centre de Castiglione (qui est un très beau village d’ailleurs). Nous avions une chambre avec terrasse avec une vue incroyable sur l’Etna: magnifique ! Parking facile sur la rue de l’hôtel (mais bien suivre les indications envoyées par l’hôtel). Nous n’avons pas pris le petit déjeuner (10 euros). Point mineur: l’hôtel serait vraiment parfait si le nescafé dans la chambre était remplacé par une machine type nespresso.

La stanza luminosa con finestra e portafinestra. Comoda e confortevole, ben pulita. Il bagno è grande e carino poche prese elettriche, forse si potrebbe rimediare con delle spine multiple, se no è difficile ricaricare contemporaneamente due cellulari. In bagno mancano piani d'appoggio...

• Cédric (10/5): - Nous nous trouvions au cœur du centre historique et proche des activités d'eau vive sur la rivière Alcantara. Nous pouvions aussi nous diriger vers Taormina qui se trouvait à 50 minutes en voiture. Et nous avons pu aussi visiter des vignobles. Les restaurants de la ville étaient sympathiques et typiquement Siciliens. Il y a aussi au détour d'une ruelle un commerçant proposant des dégustations des produits du terroir (fromage, vin, charcuterie). Vraiment une belle découverte loin des agitations estivales du bord de mer. Rien, si ce n'est de faire attention a bien prendre en compte les recommandations de l'hôtel concernant comme y accéder en voiture. Car les rues sont vraiment très étroites ! Certains gabarie s de voiture ne passent pas.

• Alexandrina (8/5): Good value for money in picturesque area, requires upkeep and update - This was our second visit to Cento Tari' (first one in 2019). We enjoyed our stay on both occasions, especially with respect to value for money. The guesthouse is located in a picturesque spot within the central part of Castiglione di Sicilia. It is composed of various rooms in different sizes, as well as a small eating area (which, as far as I know, is only used for breakfast) and a very pretty rooftop terrace. While the space is nice and the owners are kind, the rooms are outdated, and some of the items (i.e., towels, hair dryer) require replacement. We would return; however, I would be quite disappointed if the condition has continued to deteriorate.
• Thomas (9/5): Superb - Rooftop patio has amazing views. Staff provided detailed driving directions (pay close attention to these! And don't trust Google not to re-route you!)
• Dee (9/5): Beautiful guest house, lovely hosts, stunning location. - Don’t miss out on the superb breakfast cooked to order and freshly squeezed orange juice (Sicilian blood oranges when in season). The guest house is beautiful - 18th century facade on older building, marble staircase, etc and attractively furnished by the family of siblings who were our wonderful hosts. We had a junior suite on the 3rd floor with a large, private S facing terrace looking over the town and valley towards Etna. We enjoyed the atmospheric ancient village and surrounding countryside and would have liked to spend more time exploring the area - two nights just wasn’t enough! To approach the hotel by car you have to drive through a very narrow gap between buildings, which was challenging. Make sure you don’t hire a big car - all Sicilians drive small cars with good reason! Most villages still have a Medieval street plan. And don’t rely on the sat nav (it sends you up impossible routes in Sicily) - follow the very good Cento Tarì instructions.

• Rebekah (9/5): Great mountaintop town with an amazing view of Mt. Etna from our terrace. - We were pleasantly surprised by the location. From our terrace, we had a view of Mt. Etna, covered in snow. Just gorgeous. The town is very cute, built on a hill, easy to walk around but not so easy to drive around, given the narrow streets. A mountaintop town with easy access to Mt. Etna. Only disappointment is that most of the restaurants were closed, due to the holidays. We ate at a very good pizzeria the first night but wanted something besides pizza the second night. Would have been ideal to have walked to one of the nearby restaurants.

• Anna (10/5): Excellent accommodation and a lovely location - Lovely little guest house, beautifully decorated and a very good choice of breakfast foods. A very friendly local bar next door with the best arancini we tried in Sicily. Excellent restaurant off the Laura Square. Very helpful and friendly staff. We liked the town with its castello (nice wine to try there) It was a little tricky to get to, although the instructions send by Marilena were perfect. Don't follow google maps!

• Florian (10/5): Perfect stay - We had a nice room with a terrace above the roofs of Castiglione with an outstanding view of Mount Etna. The room was well equipped, quiet and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast in house but went to the lovely small café next door, where locals meet each morning. The town is a good starting point to visit Etna and Alcantara River. Everything was perfect.

• John (10/5): Superb location to use to explore the north side of Etna. - Lovely family-owned and operated property with a rooftop terrace overlooking the town and Mt Etna. The hosts are delightful and prepare a delicious breakfast.
• Vincenzo (10/5): - Well kept and quiet hotel in the middle of the historic town center. Beautiful views of either the stone streets or Mt. Etna. Room and bathroom were extremely clean. Did not try the breakfast but it is available and a nice option to have. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. Would stay here again.
