The breakfast is good but a lot of people - expect some waiting - Hotel works together with the La Forêt hotel and sharing some facilities ( ie. The pool on the Marriott side ) . The also organize massages in the hotel room - very good

Man lukker døra til dusjen tett, og da er man avhengig av en god avtrekksvifte, noe som ikke fungerte hos oss. Middagen sto ikke i stil til prisen i det hele tatt og det var generelt dyrt der. Vi spiste frokost i landsbygden utenfor. Alt i alt ville vi nok valgt et annet hotell neste gang, da prisen var for høy i forhold til opplevelsen.

• mrd4430 (10/5): Lovely hotel with in room onsen (hot springs) option - We were going to be in this area for a couple of days and this location looked perfect for our visit. The hotel is in a somewhat remote area with lots of beautiful green forests and streams around. It also offers onsen/hot springs in some of the rooms like the King room we had. We originally booked an onsen room with it inside the room but as a Marriott Bonvoy platinum we were upgraded to a room with the onsen outside which was better as you had a view and it was more comfortable in the hot water being outdoors. There is also an indoor public hot spring pool if you don't book this type of room. The hotel also offers coin operated laundry which we really needed since we had been traveling awhile and it was nice to clean our clothes. Breakfast was buffet style and had lots of choices with an egg station and delicious pastries. It was raining during part of our visit but the hotel provided nice big umbrellas for use during our stay which was a great benefit. The same staff person (can't remember her name) checked us in and out and she was very pleasant and spoke excellent English which was helpful with our non existent Japanese. Thank you and we hope to visit again and stay here.

Pros: - spectacular view of Mr Fuji from certain rooms - deluxe rooms with private outdoor onsen bath - kid/baby friendly - pet friendly rooms available Cons - very limited dining options - the one restaurant at the hotel closes at 9pm (ie no late night room service) - no vending machines on-site, nearest convenience store is 15 min drive away - restaurant is very pricey - we preferred to drive into town for better value Issue at check in - we made sure to reserve 2 nights in a room with a view of Mt Fuji but were put in a “garden view” room for the first night. After complaining we were given the correct room for the second night. Disappointing, considering the only reason we chose to stay here is for the Mt Fuji view.

• Paul7878 (8/5): Good Hotel on the Izu Peninsula - I had a comfortable one-night stay in July 2024. One night is not enough because this hotel is part of a larger resort that is oriented around outdoor activities. There are tennis courts, walking paths, and the golf course. The location is very remote, but there is supposed to be a shuttle from the nearest train station. I drove to here and there is free parking. The room was nice and I had no complaints. It's as expected from a Marriott-branded property. There is an onsen in the hotel and there is a bath house that people staying elsewhere on the property can use. However, the bath house is around a mile (maybe more) away. It's inconvenient (at best) at night.

• Verified traveler (10/5): また行きたいです - お部屋はとても綺麗に清掃されていて気持ちよく過ごすことが出来ました。愛犬も一緒だったので食事は近くの洋食レストランのテイクアウトを持参しました。朝食時わんちゃんも一緒だったという口コミを拝見した気がして一応フロントの方にお伺いしましたが、やはり共有スペースでの犬同伴で食事は無理でした。お部屋の廊下を出てすぐのところに小さめのドッグランがあります。お部屋には愛犬用のおやつと肉球クリーム、ワンちゃん専用のミネラルウォーターの用意もあり嬉しかったです。チェックイン時のフロントの男性もとても親切で感じ良く気持ちよく宿泊することができました。

• Dominik (6/5): Go there by car if you are staying! - The room was nice and big, we had an onsen, which was really nice The hotel is very old, which is noticeable when walking around in the hotel. the pictures don’t look like reality, they use a weird filter for all the pictures, or increased the brightness by a lot. The shared pool and spa area feels worn out and needs a renovation. It looked like there is a lot of mold ob the ceilings. Go there by car if you can, because eating in the only restaurant available inside of the hotel is ridiculously expensive. Value for money overall is not good to me and I would visit this hotel again.

• Takayuki (10/5): - マリオットでもとても個人まりしたホテルで、概して綺麗ですが、大浴場などは清潔感はあるものの古さが否めないです。702号室でした。部屋は快適。強いていうとTVがベットから見るととても小さいので大きくしてもらえるといいかと思います。 冷蔵庫は無料のお水2本以外空っぽにしてあるので、何か買っていくとお部屋でもゆっくり楽しめると思います。お部屋から綺麗な富士山がくっきりと見え絶景でした。ジップラインも初めてトライしましたが最高でした。

• nikkiechau (10/5): Tranquil - Stayed here for one night, came here to explore Shuzenji areas, very friendly staffs, great indoor and outdoor hot springs. It’s a secluded location but there’s hotel shuttle bus from the train station. Nice restaurant and lounge onsite. Our room has the hot spring tub inside, we were upgraded to a room with outdoor tub but with no view of Mt. Fuji so we decided to skip the upgraded room. Food was delicious, lots of local ingredients. There are also e-bike for rent, 4 hours time slot.

We hired a car at Mishima and drove around the stunning mountains on the Penninsular. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by very polite staff members who took over our luggage...Check in was a breeze and we were led to our beautiful room. The room was huge and we had our own private onsen. We could see Mt Fuji from the carpark of the hotel. It really helped having the hire car to get around the local area, although the hotel has a shuttle bus from Shuzenji station....very very highly recommend this hotel

Here’s a candid take on our experience: The Good: We nestled into a family suite that epitomized comfort and elegance, with its spacious interiors, modern amenities, and a charming balcony that showcased the serene beauty of nature. The staff were a hallmark of hospitality, always attentive with warm smiles. The on-site onsen was a realm of relaxation, offering a peaceful escape amidst nature. The dining experience was a culinary delight, with a wide array of scrumptious options catering to our varied tastes. The Bad: The only downside was the challenge of venturing out without a car due to the resort's somewhat secluded location. It hindered our plans to explore the vicinity effortlessly. Just OK: The lounge was quite small which somewhat limited our leisure time there, but it was cozy nonetheless. Don't miss out on the local delicacies at the resort's restaurant, they are a treat to the palate. Despite minor inconveniences, Marriott Izu Shuzenji emerged as a wonderful abode offering a blend of relaxation and adventure. The beautiful setting, coupled with exemplary amenities and warm hospitality, rendered our stay memorable. The nearby explorations added a sprinkle of adventure, making our retreat a cherished family memory. Highly recommended for families seeking a mix of relaxation and local exploration.
• Hao (10/5): nice hotel，pretty good as usual -
• Yana (3/5): Poor - Onsen, free shuttle bus from the nearby station, view Cockroaches, urine smell in the room, very dusty, the staff is clearly aware of the cockroach problem but are not doing much to solve the issue, there is cockroach gel applied but it won’t do much, we had 4 hours of sleep and had to change the room in the middle of the night despite that in the morning I had to go and ask the hotel staff for the new breakfast vouchers as they did not seem to care. I expected them to bring it for us. Also, their manager had a day off that is why I was told that I cannot talk to them. Had to cancel the second night and triple check all the bags to make sure that we won’t bring the bugs home with us.
• HL314 (10/5): A restful 2 day stay - From Mishima Station a 40 Min, 550Yen ride to Shuzenji Station. Our arrival timing appeared perfect, as we quickly and easily  found the Hotel Shuttle Bus Stop outside the Station, the the bus headed to the hotel the minute after we boarded. We were quickly checked in by Kamala, and offered an upgrade to a top floor twin bed suite with access to the executive lounge. She was very informative and helpful with regards to all the facilities and provided a timetable and map for the whole resort. Our room was very spacious and bright. There were extra bedding for use with Tatami if needed. The amenities provided were in line with the class of hotel. We did not have to use the room's tea and coffee as we have lounge access. The bathroom was compact with a separate small bath and shower base combination similar to home arrangements. The onsen is a five minute ride by a hotel minibus. We initially thought the mini bus runs to a schedule. After using the onsen, we found no scheduled mini bus, and was then told to ring hotel reception for the bus ride. We used the lounge a few times during our stay. The variety of beverages is very good. We felt the food choices were very limited, particularly for vegetarians. The variety of breakfast food from the buffet in the 2nd floor restaurant was really excellent. We quite like the flavour of the eggs in the special local omelette. Service by the restaurant staff were 5 star.. We enjoyed our restful stay.
• Sharon (10/5): - Loved my king bed room with big windows facing Mt Fuji with a private onsen. Rooms are new and buffet breakfast has a wide selection with floor to ceiling windows. Overnight stay didn’t allow us to explore Laforet complex.

• MiniCooperSS (6/5): Very relaxing stay with outdoor hot tub - Property is out dated in some parts but rooms are renovated new and modern style. We stayed in the room with outdoor bath. It is excellent. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable. Very nice view of Fuji!!! But the onsen is very old and I can see the yellowish around the tub area. There are no amenities available at the dressing counter area in the onsen. We went to the business hotel where the price is one third of the Marriott price but they offer public bath with wide selection of amenities under Pola brand as well.
• Y1293VSalexw (6/5): Beautiful view, terrible food. Quite remote. - The pros: Being able to look at Mt Fuji from an in-room Onsen tub was pretty spectacular! Hotel was clean, and beds were comfortable (though could only get 2 twins, no large bed). The cons: there is only one restaurant at the hotel and the food was borderline inedible, strangely presented (a raw leaf of chard draped over the ribs), and quite expensive. And you literally have no other choice. I’m not a picky person, and typically leave 5 star reviews, but the food was a major let down. I believe the hotel really needs to improve the dining experience. Shuttle bus to train station, nice food there and taxi back is less than half the price of the hotel options and far nicer. Good place to stay if you have a car: the location is quite remote and sleepy. The mountains are lovely, and the view of Fuji is pretty iconic.
• Hok (8/5): nice hotel with good scenery and service - clean, tidy, cosy, comfortable the sports centre next to the Marriot hotel (but it’s the facilities under Marriot) does not have air-conditioner
• Brian (9/5): A great place for a restful stay! - A wonderful hotel in a great location. Excellent staff. The breakfast menu is exceptionally good with a huge range of choices. By comparison, the dinner menu is very limited and quite expensive.
• Benny (9/5): Great hotel! - The paid breakfast was great! There was quite a few insects in the room's onsen area. And few was actually floating (dead) inside the onsen.

• Michael (8/5): Very good - Nice resort. Nice rooms. Friendly staff. Shuttle bus to take you between properties and down to the local train. Lots of trees and other recreational options in better weather. Rooms need attention, a lot was worn down or falling apart. Minor fixes that could be done in a couple of days.. Only one restaurant and way over priced. No other options besides a couple of breads and a ton of beer. Spa was very limited. Indoor hot tub only. Other resort has a nice outdoor onsen. Check in was a mess. Booking was prepaid and they initially wanted to charge us again. Reserved 2 rooms for 2 persons each, initially only had reservation for 1 room for 2 persons.
• Warunee (9/5): Sweet Fujisan with Sakura garden - Bathroom and toilet area is comfortable. Love to wear Yukata. Mt.Fuji can be seen from the hotel lobby and there is sakura garden next to the hotel parking lot which can sit and watch Mt. FUJI. Hotel Staffs are helpful. The room is quite large and there is coffee table and chairs but it was a bit cold night without heater so we better go to warm and cozy bed instead.

• Midori (8/5): 夕食が食べられない - 足の悪い母との旅行でした。車椅子をすぐに用意してくれたので、移動にたすかりまぢた。到着した日には、駐車場の配慮がありませんでしたが、2日目には、駐車場の配慮がりあり、助かりました。夕食にインルームダイニングを利用したのですが、メニューに和風のものが全く無かったのが、残念でした。2日目はブッフェを利用しようとしたのですが、4時半の段階で、予約が一杯で、また、インルームダイニングにしたのですが、6時に電話をしたら、8時半過ぎになり、それでもいいですかと言われたが、頼むしかなかった。4時半の時に、一言、早めがいいとか、混むとかのアドバイスが欲しかった。90歳を過ぎた母に夜の9時にピザを食べさせる事になってしまった。もっと、美味しいものを早い時間にゆっくり食べさせたかった。
