La proximité du centre historique en particulier de la fameuse cathédrale La gentillesse de la propriétaire Le caractère atypique de la maison d'hôtes Petit déjeuner correct mais sans plus Hébergement difficile d'accès pour des personnes n'ayant pas la capacité physique adéquate . Beaucoup d'escalier à monter et descendre que ce soit dans l'hébergement ou la ville. Le relatif éloignement du parking public.

Notre chambre était très grande, très bien modernisé tout en respectant de l'ancienne. Elle était en parfait était. Superbe point de chute pour vadrouiller dans Matera. Les petits déjeuners de grande qualité. Monica, la hôte, était très gentille et discrète en même temps, comme on aime. Rien.

• Mario (10/5): Fantastic B&B in the heart of historic Matera - Great little B&B in the heart of Matera, just off Piazza del Sedile - the only square in Matera with direct access to both sides of the Sassi di Matera (Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso) - and a one-minute walk from the main cathedral. The room was spacious, and the rate included a fantastic breakfast on the property’s terrace, overlooking parts of historic Matera. Everything was great.

• Petra (10/5): Ein Bijou! - L‘Arturo B&B hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist ein Bijou innerhalb der tollen Stadt, die Zimmer sind authentisch, eine kleine Terasse bietet Platz zum draussen sitzen und geniessen. Die Lage ist wunderbar versteckt vom Rummel und doch zentral, man ist schnell in beiden Sassis. Monica ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, hat uns viel erklärt und macht ein sensationelles Frühstück! Wir waren mit Kindern dort und es hat gut geklappt!

Monica ci ha regalato un'accoglienza preziosa con una serie di informazioni logistiche importanti: cosa vedere, come, dove mangiare, punti di interesse. Consiglio la colazione che è una vera coccola dolce e salata, abbondante e deliziosa. Arturo ha una paninoteca vicinissima piena di delizie locali assolutamente da provare, ci ha raccontato la storia della città davanti ad un'ottima merenda. Da non perdere taralli e birra lucana!

Le dije que era intolerante a la lactosa y me preparo varias opciones para desayunar cada día. Además, nos permitieron dejar el equipaje después del check out, un detalle. La habitación muy amplia. Buena temperatura. Buenas vistas. Una terraza preciosa. El desayuno abundante. Puedes aparcar relativamente cerca teniendo en cuenta cómo es Matera.

• Irene (10/5): ARTURO FOR EVER - La camera permetteva di immergersi pienamente nell'atmosfera del luogo, sia per la posizione, proprio all'interno del centro storico con vista spettacolare sui Sassi, sia per l'arredo, semplice e originale al tempo stesso. Molti componenti dell'arredamento sono ricavati dal restauro di oggetti che in passato avevano altre funzioni. Il bagno era unico nel suo genere: la doccia sembrava una piccola spa ricavata sotto un arco. La colazione da 10 e lode, così come la gentilezza e la disponibilità della proprietaria.

Bardzo urozmaicone i przepyszne śniadanko na tarasie z widokiem na Sassi, to coś niezwykłego. Właściciele bardzo pomocni. Lokalizacja w samym centrum historycznego Sassi, wszędzie blisko. Miejsce sprawiające wrażenie, jakbyśmy cofnęli się w czasie, jednak warunki mieszkaniowe rewelacyjne. Pokój przestronny, wszystko czyste. Łazienka wyposażona i też duża. Gdybyśmy jeszcze raz zwiedzały Materę, to na nocleg udałybyśmy się swłaśnie tam. Nie ma nic takiego.
• Igor (10/5): - Monica and her team welcomed us very warmly and helped with everything we needed. The apartment is nicely decorated, spacious, and very quiet, even though it’s close to the city centre. It’s located in a closed inner courtyard, so there’s almost no noise from outside. Getting there from the main station was easy, even with larger suitcases. The only small challenge was carrying the luggage down the stairs in the courtyard, but that’s quite normal in Matera. Breakfast was delicious, thank you! And our sincere apologies again for the small accident with the bedsheet, which Monica handled very kindly and with great understanding. By the way, if you have time, visit the lovely café run by her family nearby; it’s definitely worth it.

The room was clean and the hosts were absolutely amazing ,warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. They gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area. You can really see how much they care about making their guests feel at home. We would definitly recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera.
• Estelle (10/5): Memorable- captures the essence of Matera - L'Arturo B&B was centrally located in the picturesque old town of Matera with wonderful views over the sassi. Arturo and Monica were wonderful hosts - incredibily kind and helpful and went out of their way to assist us with taxis and recommendations for restaurants. Monica warned us beforehand not to bring big suitcases as there are many stairs down to the guest house. They kindly helped us with our luggage. The decoration of the room was quirky and modern and contrasted with the beautiful and well renovated old building Our room was very spacious with a nice terrace with a table and chairs. Restaurants and shops were all within walking distance from the guest house. The breakfast on the terrace with a view was scrumptious with fresh pastries, bread, cheeses, tomatoes,fruit, cereals, jogurt,milk ,coffee, water, and juice - so much to choose from. Thank you Arturo and Monica for a wonderful experience Nothing . Everything was perfect.

La vecchia struttura è stata rimodernata lasciando comunque in evidenza elementi originali. Terrazza con bellissima vista in cui viene servita un'ottima colazione. I proprietari sono stati molto ospitali. Siamo stati benissimo! Non sono veri punti negativi ma cose da tenere a mente se si sceglie questo tipo di alloggio: ci sono tante scale e la stanza ha poca luce naturale in quanto le finestre sono piccole. Ma appunto, fa parte dell'esperienza!

La camera è molto spaziosa e fresca (non abbiamo nemmeno acceso il condizionatore pur essendo in Agosto). Estremamente piacevole la colazione servita sul terrazzino con vista sassi e di ottima qualità ed abbondante. La signora Monica infine ci ha fornito tutte le incazioni necessarie per il soggiorno e per la visita di Matera. Grazie!

She guided us to the most worthwhile sights in Matera, helping us make the most of our short two-day stay with our kids, aged 9 and 11. It was, without a doubt, a vacation to remember! • Michaela (10/5): - La struttura è molto bello e accogliente, con un terrazzino stupendo. I proprietari sono squisiti e gentili. Al nostro prossimo soggiorno a Matera torneremo sicuramente qui.
• Debra (9/5): Lots of charm and lots of steps - We had two rooms, one at the top at the gate and one at the bottom of the complex. Both rooms were very nice. Beds were comfortable. The a/c eventually cooled the rooms, but it took a while. Any problems were immediately addressed and fixed. The location is super, close to Piazza Duomo and on the edge of the Sassi. Breakfast was nice. Communication with the owner was excellent and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. The temperature in the showers was difficult to regulate, switching rapidly from cold to scalding. We live in Italy, travel a lot, and we are used to temperamental showers. However, these bordered on being dangerous. Perhaps the temperature on the hot water heater could be lowered a little to avoid scalding? There are also a lot of steps, particularly if you are in the bottom unit.

• April Creamer Joy Tolentino (10/5): - The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The view is amazing. Host was very attentive and can easily be reached. Location is perfect. Nothing. Our stay was magical!

• Josep (10/5): Meravella! - No tinc paraules! A l’arribada ens vam quedar amb la boca oberta. Quines vistes! I la Monica és un Sol, ens va donar una càlida benvinguda i ens va situar la ciutat amb un mapa-guia. L’habitació immensa, neta, el llit gran, el lavabo perfecte. I la terrassa és compartida però et sents super a gust i l’esmorzar amb vistes és un moment magic. Meravella! La carxofa de la dutxa és una mica vella i surt l’aigua un pèl massa fort. I el llit, pel meu gust, m’agradaria una mica més dur. Però vaja, minúcies.
• Julie (10/5): - We loved our stay at Arturo B&B. Monica and Arturo are incredibly kind. The accommodation is very well located in the historic center and has incredible charm. The breakfast was excellent, as well as Arturo's sandwiches from his grocery store just a few steps from the B&B. A big thank you for this wonderful stay!
• Zeljko (10/5): Memorable escape - I recently had the pleasure of staying at a remarkable accommodation in Matera, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in a fantastic and authentic location, the place offers breathtaking views of the old town, which are even more stunning in person than in the photos. The charm of the surroundings adds a unique character to the stay, making it truly memorable. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, providing excellent recommendations for local tours, parking options, and nearby restaurants. If you're looking for a place that captures the essence of Matera while offering comfort and outstanding service, I highly recommend this accommodation. It's a hidden gem that you'll want to return to time and again! Almost nothing! We did experience a minor issue with the shower, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently.
• Kevin (9/5): Very enjoyable peaceful and quiet. - It was in a perfect location close to plaza but steps down from it for a quiet stay. Had 2 nights of good sleep. Host was attentive to all our needs and gave us tips what to see and how to get there. Easy to navigate both sides of the town from where we stayed.
• Nicole (10/5): - Sehr großes und komfortables Zimmer. Tolle zentrale Lage im Sassi. Wir mochten das sehr gute Frühstück auf der schönen Terrasse. Der Kontakt zum Gastgeber war sehr gut, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, es war alles wundervoll! Die Matratze war sehr weich, aber das ist Geschmacksache.
• rosella (9/5): Magnifico L'Arturo B&B ! - Suggestiva location proprio nel cuore dei "Sassi". Ottima la grandezza e la pulizia della camera dotata di ogni comfort e arredata con gusto. Colazione buonissima con prodotti freschi e del luogo servita in terrazza con vista spettacolare sui Sassi. Gentilezza meravigliosa di Monica. Purtroppo nella stanza mancava un frigo dove tenere l'acqua in fresco visto il caldo della giornata.

• Ying To (10/5): Brilliant - Amazing place, just as shown in the pictures. Super convenient location and is actually inside the old town area. I don't always go for the breakfast in hotels but the one served by Monica was great. Overall, 10/10. The bathroom/toilet can do with slightly better sound insulation.

• Eva (9/5): - Super Lage im Sasso Barisano, hübsche Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick. Grosses Zimmer, in der Nacht erstaunlich ruhig. Netter Empfang. Uns war das Bett zu weich und die Menge Warmwasser war schwankend.
