Guest Reviews
- Sylvia (8/5): Muy recomendable - Supet
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location and comfortable stay. - The place is ideally located for your Tepozteco hike, a few block from the entrance and right next to some of the best restaurants. The host was very friendly and gracious.
- Renan (10/5): gorgeous view of the mountains - I stayed at the top room with private balcony facing the mountains and it was magical. The staff is super friendly and everything was very clean. The ceiling of the room is a dome made of bricks which is quite stunning. Strongly recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great view of the mountains - The hotel was easy to find and the grounds are beautiful. We had a great view of the mountains and the pyramid from the balcony. The room was clean, we had no issues with the wifi, and the folks who checked us in/out were very friendly.
Gracias
- Luis (10/5): Excelente servicio y ubicación - Muy buen hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): So much potential, but a bit off - The hotel, and town itself, felt a bit deserted. Perhaps due to the aftermath of the earthquake, as both the temple and church near the main square were closed? There were no signs directing me to the office upon entry. This was a bit confusing. The desk was also not constantly manned. The room itself was nice, and the view was spectacular. However, there were some small ants around my sink when I woke up in the morning. It was also difficult to ensure that my door was latched when it closed. I had to slam it shut, otherwise it would not latch and could be reopened. There was also no secondary lock on the door itself (no deadbolt, or latch, or chain, etc). While the grounds looked lovely, and the pool and jacuzzi appeared to be open (the covers were removed during the day, etc) - they did not appear to be maintained. The water level in the jacuzzi was lower than the nozzles. And there was debris (leaves, etc) floating in both the pool and jacuzzi. So sadly, I did not use them. The hotel has the potential to be spectacular, I don't want to make my judgment too harsh - as perhaps it is, when during 'normal' periods.. however, if tourism to the town is dead due to the earthquake's aftermath, perhaps the hotel had to cut back on costs accordingly. I wouldn't write off the hotel completely, but I would not set my expectations too high either (to avoid disappointment).
- Verified traveler (6/5): A bit overpriced for what you get - The staff is very nice and the hotel is fine. It is one of the most expensive places I stayed in Mexico during a two month trip and was certainly not the best hotel. There were tea bags in the lobby but I never saw any coffee. I think part of the problem was I was there midweek when most people come to the town (and hotel) on the weekend. Everything was clean and nice, it just wasn't worth the cost. Little things would help like coffee/tea in the rooms. The beds are also really hard.
