Ian S Jones (9/5): Lovely location, friendly and very helpful staff. - We stayed in one of the lakeside apartments which was on two floors. The accommodation was comfortable although the shower was quite cramped, and we had to ask for an anti-slip mat for the floor, which was very slippery and had a large and awkwardly positioned drain hole. The plugs on both the sink and bidet didn’t function, and weren’t repaired during our 6 night stay. The kitchen area, which was presumably intended to allow self catering, was quite spacious and well equipped but lacked a microwave oven. The hotel breakfasts were very good. See above. Bathroom fittings not quite up to scratch.

I cannot fault a single thing about this hotel, the staff, the food, the room but what stood out to us most was the service of the staff and level of quality of the food. The concierge are fantastic, they accommodated a private 3 hour boat tour and even chef made birthday cake for my wife as it was her birthday. Our room was breath taking, right on the lake with our own private pool. Can’t wait to go back would recommend 1000%

Oliver (10/5): Beautiful views, incredibly helpful and accommodating staff - Everything went extremely well. Concierge were incredibly accommodating to all requests I made. Parking was perfect, secure but very accessible for hotel guests - and reasonably priced at . Breakfast was great, dinner at restaurante filo was delicious - small portions but reasonably priced for the experience. Short walk (8-10 min) from the ferry station to explore other towns on the lake. I can’t think of any downsides to our stay, everything was perfect.

Chloé (6/5): Cheap, mauvais rapport qualité prix - Le petit déjeuner, le personnel de l’accueil aimable et la belle vue sur le lac de Côme Nous séjournions en couple dans l’une des résidences située à côté de l’immeuble principal de l hôtel. La qualité des meubles et équipements était mauvaise (meuble IKEA en contre plaqué), il n’y avait même pas une étagère pour poser son nécessaire de toilette dans la salle de bain. La salle de bain était d’ailleurs vétuste, le carrelage du bac à douche cassé et le porte serviette se détachait du mur. S’agissant de l’emplacement c’est vraiment pas idéal. L’hôtel n’est pas dans une ville, il est situé sur le bord de la route, et la plupart des chambres sont à l’ombre toute la journée. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés on nous a indiqué qu’il fallait payer le parking 20€/jour, alors que l’on n’avait pas le choix de garer votre véhicule ailleurs du fait du positionnement de l’hôtel. On se sent pris en otage. Le trajet depuis les résidences jusqu’a l’établissement principal est long et pas pratique pour des personnes à mobilité réduite ou âgées. Mon mari a des béquilles et il ne lui a pas été proposé de l’aider pour se rendre au restaurant avec les voiturettes de l’hôtel. Le ménage de la chambre laisse également à désirer, il y avait des traces de chaussures noires au sol lorsque nous sommes arrivés. Et enfin et surtout, l’immeuble des résidences n’est pas insonorisé, donc nous avons entendu toute la nuit les cris, pas et sprint des voisins du dessus et leurs enfants… si vous souhaitez dormir, pensez à vous munir de bouchons d’oreilles. Le petit déjeuner bien qu’il soit bon et copieux, propose également un service à la carte avec des omelettes facturées 8€… rien que ça. Nous n’avons globalement pas apprécié notre séjour dans cet hôtel.

The restaurant for dinner had a limited menu and definitely not with the price. The portions were extremely small and very pricey. The location of the hotel is out in the outskirts of town so it makes it difficult if you want to go to another restaurant or bar. The hotel is perfect to travel to the other towns by ferry. The bed in our bedroom was very uncomfortable and the pillows could hardly be called pillows.

AJG1Headmaster (10/5): Our little taste of Lake Como - We stayed for a couple of nights at the end of a wonderful holiday. This was the perfect end to our memory packed tour. Accommodation in the apartment was spacious, comfortable and ideal. The food in the main Hotel was exceptionally good as was the service. The location served us well being lakeside and with good access to transport links. A sense of calm tranquility enhanced our stay despite being so very close to all of the bustling lakeside towns. The weather was awful. We did not care.

We stayed at the hotel and the residences. Both are excellent. The choice at the hotel restaurant is a bit limited, but there are very nice restaurants in the area.
Twinmom927 (8/5): Lovely Property but No So Ideal Location - This property is truly stunning, with breathtaking views that are hard to beat. Nestled in Lezzeno, it conveniently sits between the picturesque towns of Bellagio and Como. The rooms were clean and spacious, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. The service was also top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. However, as a first-time visitor to the area, I was caught off guard by the transportation challenges we encountered. While transportation in this region of Italy is generally on the pricier side, staying in a less populated area like Lezzeno made it even more so. The hotel primarily recommended private transfers, either by car or boat, to get to other destinations. This added a layer of complexity and expense that I hadn't anticipated. Additionally, the food options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel were quite limited. This made dining choices somewhat restrictive, especially when we wanted to stay close to the property. Despite these challenges, the beauty and serenity of Hotel Filario made for a memorable stay. That said, for my next visit, I will likely choose to stay in either Bellagio or Como to ease the transportation and dining concerns.

aledm (4/5): We do not recommend this hotel - We had a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment for 995.20€ per day with breakfast (parking was an extra 20€ per day). We didn’t like this hotel. The location was too isolated, and there were only a few restaurants in the area (Bellagio would have been a better choice). The hotel buildings that comprised the apartments and the hotel itself were “cobbled” together into a “Furshlugginer" mess. In addition, the way that the connections from one building to another were designed was nuts. For example, to get to the main hotel building from our apartment building, we had to walk by the pool (if it was open, otherwise on the beach). After unlocking the gate (no one told us how to do that when we checked in), you needed to step around a foot bath pool that was ridiculously large. At the other end of the pool, the gate and lock were a different system, and the foot bath pool was placed in a way that made getting around it and unlocking the gate almost impossible (for little people like us with short arms) without falling into the foot bath pool. The other ways to walk to the main building from our apartment were to walk up the driveway (quite an ascent) or to walk along the beach area and up many stairs. In the hallways, you needed to learn where the light switches were because the lights did not go on automatically. Our building was called the Bellagio Lake Resort. Our apartment was on the third floor. Our two-bedroom, two-bath apartment at 75 square meters was cramped and "down market". There was a hall when we walked in, and the two bathrooms were off of it. They were both small. One had a shower, the other did not. One had a useful counter around the sink and a clothes washer in it. The other one was a standalone sink with no place to put stuff at all. There were shelves and cabinets on the other wall—very inconvenient and unpleasant to use. The bedrooms were tiny, and the master only had room for a standard double bed. That bed had a mattress of the type that shook when the other person moved. When we opened the closet in the master, we could not walk past the bed. The other bedroom had room for two twin beds lengthwise. The windows only opened into the room, not from the top. Keeping them open was difficult. To keep out the light, shutters needed to be closed. The light switches were installed in crazy places and in crazy ways, so it was difficult to figure out what was where. In any event, there was not enough lighting in the apartment. We asked for an extra lamp, but it wasn’t enough. We wanted to sit at the dining table to use our two laptops when we arrived, but there was only one electrical outlet near the table, and it was used for the only (and very necessary) standing lamp in the room. When we arrived on Saturday, we asked for an electrical multiplier. The hotel did not have one, and we waited until Monday for one to be brought so that we could plug in our laptops to use them. In the kitchen, there were two appliances on the counter (coffee maker and water boiler), but no place to plug both in at the same time. The kitchen did not have a microwave—only a stovetop and oven. The furniture was uncomfortable, and there was no coffee table in front of the sofa. The TV screen was minuscule, and it was poorly placed for viewing. The balcony was in the middle of the building, so we didn’t have any opening on the side; it was dark, and the furniture was poorly placed and uncomfortable. For our first dinner, we went to Filo at the hotel. It was the worst meal of our Lake Como stay. However, the service at dinner and also at breakfast was very nice--caring and attentive, especially by Silva. The staff at the hotel (especially Elena from the housekeeping staff) was very nice, welcoming, and generally well-trained. If it weren’t for them, we really, really would have disliked the place. The hotel was expensive (as was all of Lake Como), and it really did not provide value for the money.

jmbordo (10/5): The Filario – Another Gem on Lake Como - From the moment we set foot in the Filario we knew it was special. We were met by a very welcoming staff with Camilla at the desk. The view of Lake Como is lovely and this gem built into the hill above the water in lovely Lezzeno is breathtaking. We were escorted to our spacious 3 ½ bedroom, 3 ½ bathroom residence complete with a living room, dining room, kitchen and spacious patio with a table, couch and lounges overlooking the water. The primary bedroom has a living area and a second floor balcony with 2 sets of lake view glass doors. We had made reservations at their lakeside restaurant Yeast and lucked into their Thursday night barbecue in addition to their delicious pizza and salad options with a live jazz ensemble playing as the water lapped onto the shore. The staff at Yeast (and in the breakfast room) is friendly and hard-working. Our trip could not have been off to a better start. At first we were concerned not to be in the center of things in Bellagio or Menaggio, but were delighted at our choice. Lezzeno is a charming small hamlet with easy access to the ferry (a 7-minute walk from the Filario) and then close enough to arrange a car or take a bus to/from Bellagio or even Como when the ferries are too crowded or stop running early in the evening. It has many surprises in a secret walkway just above the road, other good restaurants, and a lakeside promenade. The Filario’s concierges, Camilla, Ria, Silvia and Emma, to name just few, were attentive to our every request. All of the food on the property was fabulous. Our afternoons back from sightseeing were tremendous, sitting in our cabanas and swimming or kayaking on the lake and being able to enjoy the Yeast menu and drinks, or jumping into the infinity pool just above the beach for an equally gorgeous view. I highly recommend The Filario, another gem on Lake Como.

Прекрасное расположение на первой линии озера Комо, собственная парковка, у нас был номер студио и он находиться не в основном здании это важно, потому что на завтрак надо ходить в основное здание и это целый квест) Номер очень просторный светлый, но отдельно хочется сказать про огромную веранду в номере с безумно красивым видом на озеро на которой сидишь и не хочется никуда идти ! Большая и очень удобная кровать из которой лень вылазить но только что разве на веранду можно, огромные окна которые откатываются и вы лежите в кровати и смотрите на Комо ! Просторная ванная комната ! Странно что вроде студия но нет например раковины на кухне ! Помыть фрукты или стакан например. Завтраки не плохие но в Италии бывают и лучше ! Вечером в отеле работает ресторан-рекомендую готовят очень вкусно ! У моей жены в один из дней был день рождения я попросил персонал помочь и украсить стол и купить цветов, все сделали за это отдельное спасибо всему персоналу ! На ресепшн тоже очень все гостеприимные и помогают ! В отеле есть хороший бассейн и собственный пляж с лежаками ! Крайне не удобно проход из номеров студия на завтрак ! Вы выходите на завтрак из корпуса поднимаетесь по лестнице проходите метров 50 спускаетесь по лестнице до пляжа, идете по пляжу до основного здания еще метров 50, после подниметесь по лестнице еще два этажа и только потом попадает в ресторан на завтрак или ужин ну и соответственно так же обратно))) Хотя можно пройти через бассейн без всяких приключений но его закрывают непонятно почему что бы так не ходили ! Ресторан работает по моему до 21.00 и бар тоже, мы приехали окало 21.00 не поесть не выпить к сожалению не получилось) В номере сьели что у нас оставалось с дороги) К сожалению по близости нет ни магазинчика ни кафе, так что лучше заехать заранее в минимаркет и купить все что нужно !Я рекомендую пожилым людям бронировать номер в основном здании.

The hotel is very clean, concierge service is terrific and the amenities surpassed our needs. The lakefront views of Lake Como directly from your room are unmatched. Definitely would return to this property.

Catherine (8/5): Lovely staff, lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. - Restaurant was superb and staff so professional. Food excellent from breakfast through to lunch and dinner. The spa is largely an outdoor experience except for the gym. We were therefore extremely unlucky to have such poor weather for the whole of our time there meaning we could enjoy none of the facilities. Certainly not the hotels fault but just worth being aware that the spa and all the lovely facilities are very weather dependent.

Jean-Paul (10/5): Schönes Hotel um den Comer See zu entdecken. - Sehr schöne Lage mit direktem Seezugang. Große Zimmer mit viel Platz zum Kleiderablage. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Leider ist der öffentlicher Transport nicht zuverlässig aber unabkömmlich um sich ohne Stress von einem Ort zum anderen zu bewegen.
