Guest Reviews
- Anton (4/5): - The property was fine but it is a dorm converted into a “hotel” room; hence the amenities will be that of what you should expect in a dorm room. Thin mattress, two bedrooms that meet into a shared space, and a small bathroom with shower. Not a bad experience but would have liked something more luxurious. Pleasant for a single night though
- Matthew (10/5): Good family stay - Fantastic stay, but be aware that whilst it comes with towels and sheets, a room with a kitchen doesn’t come with cutlery, plates, cups, etc. Good AC and the 504 bus can take you into town.
- SERGE (10/5): - Excellent place to sleep.
- Joanne (10/5): One night Stay - Rooms were great. Individual locks on doors and it was an all around good time.
top floor with views of CN Tower was a plus
- Jason (10/5): - Great staff!
- susan (8/5): - Student Digs have really changed over the years, 40 years to be precise. Light airy room, comfy bed, internet, full bathroom and kitchen. Luxury
- Blake (2/5): - This property gave me a room without a locking door.
- Joel (6/5): Clean, confortable bed but basic - Convinent location and clean rooms, but building needs extra care. Kitchen there but empty, nothing to make a coffee. Found it too basic for its price.
- Chee Wah (8/5): - Aircon is not adjustable
- Lilly (6/5): - needs more toilet paper and garbage cans and towels
- P (6/5): - Good location. Beds fine. Bedding and towels provided. Only downside was although a mini kitchen area there. There is no kettle, no crockery and no cutlery so taking any advantage of the "kitchen" is not viable.
- Kyungeun (10/5): - It was very nice staying, and clean and kind staffs. Only one thing that the college located a little bit away from subway and we took uber taxi. It cost us about $10 everytime. Thanks
- Alexandra (8/5): - Didn’t like the fire alarm at bedtime but apart from that everything was great.
- Neal (10/5): Quick Toronto Trip - Front desk staff was fantastic and check in was quick. Room (and facility) was clean. Area was easy to access with public transportation or with a vehicle. Would definitely recommend and would book again.
- Cory (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay, would stay again.
- Lauren (8/5): Nice price and good stay in Toronto - It was in a perfect location and it was fun staying in a dorm setting
- Michel (8/5): - This is a student dorm that runs as a hotel in the summer. We had a two bedroom suite with a kitchenette. unfortunately, there is zero supplies in the kitchen. on the second floor, there is ice,ping-pong table, pool table, and access to barbeques and an oven.
The location is very good. The distillery area of Toronto is within walking distance and short rides to downtown and other popular areas.
We would definitely book here again and recommended for those who are prepared to stay in a college dormitory.
- Caroline (10/5): Amazing stay - Amazing stay in the heart of the distillery district. The room was clean, we had plenty of space for our family of 3, and we enjoyed having restaurants and supermarkets not too far. I recommend it!
- Richard (10/5): Amazing value - Fantastic value for a city-centre stay, in the heart of the Distillery District with lots of restaurants, craft breweries and unusual shops. Union bus and train stations were an easy Uber away. Efficient air conditioning and very visible and regular security patrols. The only downside were the beds are small for two, but otherwise unbeatable for small families wanting separate bedrooms.
- Daniel (8/5): Good for family vacations - The two bedroom units workrf well for our three families.
- Samantha (10/5): - Only thing i would say is that one of the elevators was down and one of the nights both were. We had to walk up to the 8th floor and got lost in a hallway what has no doors i can open except one that indicates that we will be fined if we do. I called and they had to let us out. Maybe put a sign saying not to go there..... other than that it was super good. Place was clean and the view was super nice.
- Jiawei (6/5): - The front customer service was very friendly and helpful.
However poor sanitary conditions.
- Karen (10/5): Affordable comfortable stay - Great quiet location, walking distance from buses which go to central in 15mins, very comfortable, good bathroom, only thing is no kettle and no cups/cutlery nothing in the kitchen which is a fridge and microwave
- Kian John Francis (6/5): - Hotel’s room service is not good.
- Dillon (8/5): - A bit out of the way from downtown, but it was overall a great stay
- Candle (10/5): - Close to 2 splash pads for children, trails and scenic park. Walking distance to restaurants. Simple walk into town
- Katie (8/5): - We had a 2 bedroom suite. It was near downtown and had a fridge and microwave oven but no plates/cutlery/etc. There were two chairs at a small table. A double bed with linens/pillows in each bedroom with a desk and dresser. Beds were smaller than I had anticipated but we made do. The small supermarket nearby was very convenient, and has sandwiches and a buffet for quick meals. The front desk was very helpful. We used the laundry room and games room on the second floor. However, the shower was very small.
It ended up being cheaper than comparable hotels in the area.
Tip! Walk to the local distillery district. And also St. Lawrence market.
- Simon (6/5): Very, very basic room. - Very, very basic room. No bedside lamps or tables, not a single kitchenware item.
2 sinks were broken, and not fixed after asking.
- Axel (10/5): - It was a great stay, very clean and everything met my expectations!
- Melinda (2/5): - Was told to park in attached parking garage but then I got a $75 parking ticket. Door cards not working so security had to lock and unlock our door for us each time we left or returned to room. Elevator not working and we were on the 8th floor. Was not offered any compensation.
- Robert (10/5): - Amazing experience. Silvana was a great host and really helped us out especially with our 14 month old baby. I really appreciated her hospitality
- Denuka (10/5): - Great
- Franco (10/5): - Value Amazing. Also location
- Michel (8/5): - Very well located, clean room. Overall a very deal for Toronto standards.
- Donalda (6/5): - It was clean and staff was friendly. It was good value for the price.
- Yukari (10/5): - I loved this property! It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the bed was super comfortable—unlike other college residences I've stayed in. I also loved the coffee shop right outside. I would definitely come back.
- Charles (10/5): - Safe, clean and fabulous location
- Allison (10/5): Fantastic bargin clean rooms - Well priced and a great location. 10min drive to Earls restaurant then we walked 15 mins to Massey Hall
- Susan (10/5): - It is very clean and the staff are kind helpful. It would have been nice to have a tea towel, dish cloth and dish soap.
- Brad (8/5): - Shout out to Leema on the front desk. She was the only desk staff while her colleague was on break and dealt with a constant stream of phone and in-person requests gracefully and professionally . Thank you for accommodating our room change request!
The property in general is what one would expect for a college dorm. The rooms were basic, but large, clean and comfortable.
- Mhd louay (8/5): - the location is good and have a lot of options around, the playroom is really nice.
The room is big and have a small kitchen inside.
The parking is a little bit expensive but very close to the hotel
The staff are nice and supportive
- Rowan (10/5): - The only issue we had was the lift not working when we had to leave from the 8th floor with three weeks worth of luggage but they sent staff up to help us which was amazing!! Brilliant stay! Highly recommend!! Great location too!!! Safe and walking distance to so many cool places!!
- Danielle (6/5): - Has everything you need. Good price point and walkable to downtown.
- Lindsay (8/5): - This place was a good nights stay for the price.
- Kristin (10/5): - Good lower cost place to stay would stay here again
- syed (2/5): - Sorry to tell all future travellers. There is no pressure of water in the basin. The reception guy came and said this is how it is in entire building. You cannot brush your teeth before going to bed or after waking up.
AC not working. the reception guy said that is how it is in the entire building. !!
- Jessica (8/5): - Did not like how the elevator was out of service some of our stay
- Matthew (10/5): - A very clean, affordable place to stay near downtown Toronto
- Benjamin (10/5): - This place was everything we needed it to be. The location was handy, the room was clean and the staff were friendly.
- Bailey (8/5): - Good for price
- Clarence (8/5): - Great location for travellers to do some sightseeing near downtown Toronto. Barebones, with no amenities though. Bathroom was small, and shower water pressure was low. We liked that there were 2 separate rooms for privacy if travelling with more than 2 persons.
- Dodson (8/5): - Good price
- Tyler (8/5): - Clean. Is as advertised. We would stay here again!
- Victoria (10/5): - I enjoyed our stay here.
- Joel (10/5): Nice stay - Easy check in quiet property
- Verified traveler (10/5): Leisure trip to Toronto - RCC is excellent value accomodation. Staff at check in were very friendly & helpful. The 2 bedroomed accomodation was ideal for myself & a friend, it was basic, but that was what i expected from the description.
It was clean & comfortable.
Location is excellent, walking distance to Distillery district, with shops & restaurants, & a short streetcar journey to downtown Toronto.
Would definitely stay again.
- Jodi (10/5): - Very nice but wasn’t expecting the way it was. More for students
- Douglas (10/5): - It was a really good stay. The only downside was the plethora reeking pot smoking students we kept coming across. Location is great. Staff are great.
- Carol (8/5): - Student accommodation so basic but excellent value
- darko (8/5): - downtown accessible on foot, near bus and tram station, staff helpfully, near shop and destillery district
- John (8/5): - The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to Distillery District with lots of drinking and dining options. Supermarket was 3 mins away. Parking is easier to find than i expected (but it's not the peak travel season yet) and it's inexpensive. We stayed in a two-room suite and it's quite roomy. Sheets and pillow cases are pristine. My only complaint is that the window doesnt close completely and traffic noise (garbage trucks backing up) can be heard from 6 or 7 am onwards.
- Rocky (6/5): - This property is essentially a student dorm. As long as you are prepared for that, it is what it is.
- Ann (8/5): - The carpet was exceptionally DIRTY.
- Nancy (10/5): - An overall perfect stay experience!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bathroom was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Used soap X2.
Wouldn't walk barefooted in there.
- Amanda (10/5): - Great location, totally walkable, clean rooms, great for overnight or a weekend!
- Ameek (6/5): - Ok for a quick stay. But not too close to other areas of interest aside from distillery district. Bathroom could have been better cleaned.
- Crystal and Nicolas (8/5): - Staff great. Clean. Beds not so great. Area has good public transportation location have to pay for parking very close by.
- Laurent (10/5): - We had an excellent stay at The George. The staff made us feel at home, cleanliness was excellent. Nice Neighbourhood a good clean hotel. We will be returning for sure.
- Megan (10/5): - Our room was very clean, spacious and affordable where many other nearby hotels were double the price. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone heading yo downtown TO, especially if you’re looking to save some money.
- Donna (10/5): - Great spot! The staff are super friendly. Very close to the streetcar that goes close to Eaton Center and Roger’s stadium. Walking distance to great restaurants in the distillery district.
- Brent (8/5): - Beautiful area. Stayed with a friend and we were looking for luxury but appreciate cleanliness so this was perfect for us.
- Erika (6/5): - Noisy on Saturday night.
- Mandeep (8/5): - very nice workers and very well minted property
- kenny (6/5): - The price was reasonable.
There is a YMCA just outside.
- Julie (10/5): - It was very great, best place I went to for a trip in Toronto (it was my 5th time in Toronto). Very clean, with everything and close to a lot of restaurants and the street car stopping. I will surely come back at this place for my next trip in this city.
- Richard (10/5): - This property offers a great stay in downtown Toronto at an affordable price.
- Brandon (10/5): - Cheap especially considering the location. Only issue was no ac so it was relatively warm in the room. Ive stayed there 3 times now and would stay again
- Sidney (10/5): - The location and venue was great but the parking was a bit of a hassle. Still, it was worth it as the location was close to everything that Toronto has to offer.
You can’t sleep two to a bed but luckily there’s separate rooms.
- Kristy Marie Babia (10/5): - Booked this property to watch a concert downtown. Although the location is in the corner end of the city, the location was perfect as it was near a train stop and a bikeshare dock. The place was also a walking distance to the Distillery District which had great food options. However, if you are planning to go the CN Tower or the Ripley's Aquarium, be prepared to walk for at 30 mins to closer to an hour. Biking is really easy going to those locations from the property as there are some designated bike lanes and biking to those attractions would only be15-20 mins. So overall, the location was awesome if you are just staying downtown.
The reception was really nice and accommodating with our requests - we only had 2 bath towels and there are 4 adults staying - they were very quick about providing us with the extra towels.
The room was also very comfortable and clean, they came in on the second day to give us new toiletries and towels and left a note of how when and what time they came in to our room and what they did.
- Lindsay (8/5): - Definitely a great alternative to overpriced hotels. Clean, friendly, secure, overnight parking available for $18, close walk to Distillery District.
The beds were a bit hard but nothing unmanageable for somewhere to just sleep after you enjoy the city.
- Martin (8/5): - Bed was surprisingly very comfortable albeit the room a little sparse (ie. no USB charging points).
Location awesome with easy access to tram and some great amenities nearby.
- Steve (10/5): - Good stay. Queen since beds would be appreciated
- Yushi (10/5): - Very nice room. Will stay next time.
- Denise (10/5): - Love the affordability of the residence given its location. Close to everything downtown. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful.
- Geoffrey (6/5): - It worked out well for my family of 4. The 2 seperate bedrooms is what sold me on this booking. We stayed for 5 nights. Nothing luxurious. But we felt safe and easy to get transportation to all areas and attractions of Downtown Toronto. It is possible to walk but the public transportation was so easy to navigate that we used that method the majority of the time. Clean towels. Sufficiemt air conditioning.
I would recommend anyone staying for a lengthy period of time to bring they're own soap and shampoo.
- John (10/5): Just what we required - Exactly what we needed at a decent price. Excellent connection to downtown on the 504A. Close enough that we could easily go back for a quick reset after a day out before heading to dinner in the evening.
- Ger (6/5): - Property is basic but clean. Room is basic. Bed uncomfortable, synthetic mattress cover made it very hot. Room was warm, no AC control impact on Temp. Shower is average. Area needs to be cleaned around property. General location relative to downtown is good. Receptionists are mostly friendly.
- Katelyn (6/5): - Decent accommodations. Air conditioning didn’t work as it’s set for the whole building. Very hot.
- Yi-Tsang (8/5): - Good
- Tenia (10/5): - A great choice for exploring Toronto. Easy access to the street car which will take you downtown in under 10 minutes whilst the Distillery District is about a 5 minute walk. Friendly staff and the nearby ground floor cafe is also worth a visit.
- Jordan (6/5): - Nothing fancy, was fine to sleep, but if you like a bit more luxury, I wouldn’t recommend. If you just wanna sleep, go for it. But small rooms, uncomfortable beds, no ice, no cups, no info on anything, and there was an ear wig on the wall right when you came in. Also, you need to keep a card in a slot in the wall just to have your lights turned on… very basic, but as I said, it’s a place to stay.
- Sharon (8/5): - I found the thermostat/air conditioning difficult to use. The blinds don't block enough light. Otherwise, great place!
- Serena (10/5): Excellent option over the summer - Convenient location. Walkable to Distillery District, Harbourfront. Everything else downtown is 20-30 minutes. We were a family of 4 so it was cheaper to Uber than TTC. Very Safe. Easy check in. Nice staff.
Clean. New. Beware- Double beds on the small side. If you are a tall and larger person, then you will be sleeping alone! Firm. Clean thick sheets. Good pillow.
Full fridge and microwave. We were aware that it was essentially like a hotel so brought our own cutlery, cups, and plates. You could bring a multi appliance-toaster oven or instant pot-if you’re there longer and are on a tight budget.
Lights are controlled. Turn on when you walk into the unit. Bedroom lights turn on with room card. Turn off manually to go to bed. Bring a lamp if you want to read at night and reach over easily to shut off.
Bathroom: lowwwwww water pressure at hand sink. Low pressure in shower but adequate. Shower is tiny but adequate for our size 5’ 8” and under. Excellent pressure in toilet. NO FAN in bathroom. I think that makes it humid and musty in the unit overall.
Parking underground next to residence. It is greenp.com and $18 a day. There’s a machine or you can pay online. Felt very safe.
Will definitely stay again.
- Joel (6/5): Needs better ac - The room was nice however they need better a/c system it was so hot and uncomfortable
Other then that it was great
- Brittany (6/5): - The property is a dorm but it is the most affordable option in downtown Toronto for those on a budget. The room was clean, beds were uncomfortable, parking was easy with a small fee, grocery nearby, and streetcar one block away.
- MICHAEL (10/5): - Perfect place for our overnight stay in Toronto. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great dining within walking distance. Recommended.
- seung chul (6/5): - Nice place but they don’t clean the room well
