- James (10/5): Excellent Boutique Hotel in Coyoacan Neighborhood - Excellent location on a quiet street within walking distance of Frida Kahlo house, markets, plaza, restaurants and more. Gratis breakfast in the beautiful courtyard was a great start to each day. One small trade off to being in the picturesque Coyoacan neighborhood is that many of the museums and fancier restaurants require cab rides to other neighborhoods.

- Neil (9/5): Wonderful place if you want something relaxing but luxurious in this part of town. - The breakfast on the patio felt very luxurious, more like having an apartment with a private chef than staying in a hotel. The room was two floor, There was not really much upstairas, but we had two big suitcases, so this let us have one floor for open suitcases, which keeping the downstairs tidy and uncluttered. Bathroom lighting was nice, beds comfy. The garden was very pretty and the breakfast was great. Not overly large or excessive, but just enough and in a tasteful way. Staff were very attentive and did everything for us. Shower temperature was a bit unpredictable despite the system looking very modern but it was not a big deal.

We loved the location, authentic Mexican breakfast but most of all the service. Miguel and team were beyond accommodating and kind. This wasn’t just a hotel stay, it was a beautiful experience!

Mexico City can be cold, and breakfast area is only external, so be prepared to have a very late breakfast, otherwise it’s too cold.

- Thy (9/5): Beautiful boutique hotel for exploring art district - - excellent location, very quiet but within blocks of major markets, plazas, and restaurants - perfect for a longer stay (several weeks) with lots of common areas, nice kitchenette, and comfortable furnishings - staff went out of their way to be helpful, but were also low-key and un-intrusive - beautiful grounds and well-designed rooms - breakfasts were generous and delicious Very minor things… - kitchen could have been better stocked with equipment - for longer stays, breakfast got a little repetitive (but still delicious!)

Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Nothing in particular. We were switched to a different room than booked, but did not mind as it was still very nice.

The breakfast entrees were not that great, but I loved the fruit, coffee and bread. Lastly, it was a little noisy in the room if people were socializing on the patio.

- ropi bo (10/5): Un très bel endroit - La villa est très belle, très calme et proche du centre. La chambre était très spacieuse et refaite à neuf. Devant il y avait une petite table sur la terrasse où nous était servi un joli petit déjeuner, et il y avait du vrai beurre ! ça c'est un plus au Mexique. J'ai été vraiment très bien accueilli par toute une équipe très aimable. Le matelas n'est pas suffisamment ferme... mais c'est un peu partout au Mexique, et j'imagine qu'il y a des gens qui aiment comme ça.
- Metta (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay. Staff were friendly, and always willing to help. The bed was comfortable, the room was nice and quiet and dark for sleeping at night. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was a lovely bonus. Our bed and room was made and tidied every day. The *one* inconsistency was the shower, it was hard to get the temperature just right. The location was perfect for our needs and desires, as we could walk to the market, the centre of Coyoacán, to Casa Azul, the corner stores and restaurants. The deck of casa Moctezuma was perfect for our evening drinks and morning coffee and breakfast. I’d highly recommend staying here and definitely want to go back

The city of Coyoacán is a treasure and we felt the best area to stay in during our vacation. The massage service through a 3rd party wasn't responsive, so don't expect that - but the food in the town, the walkability, and the culture were all super pleasant. The hotel staff were also really kind and helpful. Overall a beautiful location and hotel to visit the Frida Kahlo house and home base for visiting Mexico city.

- David Santa (10/5): - The boutique hotel which was formerly a university library served an amazing breakfast every morning in the cobble stoned courtyard. our family took advantage of the wonderful location which was a short walk from all the action in Mexico City's oldest neighborhood, Coyoacan. The staff was beyond helpful, even switching our rooms due to a cleaning product smell. The decor was simple yet effective and the tree and plant life throughout the property provided hours of enjoyment. We will definitely stay at Casa Moctezuma again next time we're in town.

Super kind and helpful staff, coffee/tea and breakfast in the morning in the beautiful terrace and courtyard (you get to choose from a few different egg dishes). Comfortable, firm mattress. Great area with lots of restaurants, museums, shops in very close walking distance. Shower temp/pressure was not ideal, but honestly, with all the pluses this place has I really didn't mind.

- Andrea (4/5): - Well, pros : they were nice, the property was super cute, the room was rustically cute, the breakfast was great, and the location is amazing The cons: there is a leak in my room and it was so loud. It sounded like somebody was tapping on the door all night the first night and I was completely freaked out until I realized there was a lake on the ground at the bottom of my stairs, super dangerous I had to approach them three times just to get a bucket which was essentially their solution. I had a sound machine, a loud one and the random downpour that would happen would wake me up all through the night. I barely got any sleep. The floor was so weak in certain spots. I was afraid it was going to pinch my feet because it bowed so dramatically . Likely due to the water….And no full length mirror which sounds minor, but I can’t feel confident about my outfit till I see it. So that sucked too. But they were really nice if would recommend this to somebody who is trying to be frugal in a good location because I’m sure the other rooms are probably fine.

- Rhiannon (10/5): - We wanted a more intimate, quiet hotel with character, rather than a large-room general hotel layout. The rooms are super cute (must like stairs). The daily breakfast is made to order out on their patio, which was a fun way to recap the night's events and plan the day. We chose the Coyoacan area to be in shaded and walkable neighborhoods close to the Frida Kahlo museum and other close-by Artisan and Local markets. We took Ubers to other parts of the city and were able to get those easily and for reasonable prices. We had a group of 6 staying in 2 rooms and would stay here again!

- Matt (10/5): Wonderful experience - If you're thinking about getting away from the hustle and bustle of CDMX, staying at this property in Coyoacan is a wonderful choice. Artsy and historic property with attentive staff. Good breakfast. You're only a short walk from the market and squares.
- Eric (9/5): Superb - This is a great location in Coyoacan. 5 minute walk to the square and far enough away to be quiet at night. Comfortable accommodations and very nice gardens and outdoor common areas.

Everything is within walking distance, and what isn’t, is just an inexpensive Uber ride away. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The bed and linens were fresh and comfortable. Highly recommend this gem in the heart of Coyoacàn. * would recommend a full length mirror

The staff is just wonderful and they make sure our stay was great. The breakfast at the courtyard was just perfect. Will be back again! We liked everything
- Patricia (10/5): Old fashion Coyoacan - Casa Montezuma is an old mansion turn hotel with large rooms. The front balcony faces an interior garden with flowers and a tree 150 years old that speaks back at you. I highly recommend this hotel. Miguel’s service first class and breakfast homemade quality. The location is the best of both worlds, close to the center of Coyoacan but far away from the noise. I am recovery from an ankle fracture and my room was very accessible. Only the front steps to enter the hotel presented a challenge. Every morning while having breakfast in the front balcony I I felt like I was experiencing first hand the Coyoacan of Frida Khalo. I felt bless❤️

- Jime (10/5): - This is truly a home away from home. The room feels like your own little apartment, stocked with everything you might need. The staff is wonderful and will get you whatever you need. The breakfast is simple but delicious and the space is small and quiet. Coyoacan is a beautiful neighborhood in Mexico to explore and even as two female travelers we felt extremely safe walking at night to grab dinner or explore the town.

Location was a great plus for this property being just 2 blocks from the main square in Coyoacan, surrounded by great restaurants and shops. We would like to have had a better wifi signal which didn't work for us as expected. Thank you Casa Moctezuma!

- Irochka (10/5): Exceptional - We especially enjoyed the breakfast, which was served with the first sunshine in a perfectly calm atmosphere, surrounded by flowers and fountains, and accompanied by excellent customer care. The location was amazing—right outside the door, on the same block, were excellent restaurants and a charming neighborhood that we enjoyed very much. The hotel's location was pleasantly quiet with fresh air, making it perfect for a good night's sleep.

- Mrill (6/5): - very nicely located, a bit noisy as it is close to the plaza and a lot of other attractions. My only complaints are that the atmosphere felt a bit awkward, for example having to repeatedly ask for TP, the water definitely never hot only tepid, and being seated outside a guests door for breakfast, and meeting only one service person for the four days we stayed at the hotel. This person was working hard but maybe could use some help

- Melissa (10/5): A lovely, relaxing place in a great location. - A beautiful and charming place to stay. The neighborhood is a close walk to all the things you want to do in Coyoacán. The breakfast was very good, and the staff very friendly. The kitchen could use some extra amenities, but I think staff would get you anything you need. The only thing needing update is the shower head. The water doesn’t spray out quite right. Other than that an absolutely fantastic experience.
