Guest Reviews
- Sambhav (10/5): - Swimming pool was great!,
Free coffee 24/7 in the lobby
- marthawR4498PM (10/5): Best area Marriott! - Best of the Marriotts in the area; very clean, nice rooms at decent rates, good breakfast included, staff is friendly and helpful, indoor swimming pool, location is very convenient to highways and restaurants
- Sekai Emilia (10/5): We had a great short stay. Friendly staff - The room was comfy
- Robin (9/5): Great experience. - Breakfast was great! Everything you could want! Room was clean and had a whole kitchen. We were very happy with our stay. Everything was great.
- Mary Pat (6/5): disappointing - Reasonably clean We checked in late night - went to our room to find the pull out bed had no sheets/pillows/blankets. I went back to the front desk, but no one was there. After ~5 mins, the clerk returned and I requested the sheets/pillows/blanket. She questioned if i had looked in the closet (which I had), then went and got me a bag.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable- especially compared to other Marriott hotels/beds. The pillows were awful and they only provided two.
Overall it was a subpar experience.
- Suzanne (9/5): Really nice time. - Location, beautiful clean pool. No restaurant, but the breakfast was verry good, and excellent restaurants were nearby, walkable.
- Z6725HQpauls (10/5): Would recommend - Clean and comfortable room, a solid breakfast, and friendly service.
Right in the heart of Cranberry and with easy access to all local amenities.
- vot_us (10/5): Clean comfortable beautiful convenient - Clean, comfortable, beautiful, convenient. This is the best of 3 TownePlace hotels we stayed at this week. It is modern and clean. The bathroom is bright with standing shower framed in glass. The kitchen is simple and organized. The thermostat is confusing with no heat or cool selection, it seems automatic switching, but surprised us with unwanted cooling when we dropped the temp a couple degrees.
- Eileen (9/5): -
- Rajesh (10/5): - Excellent place to stay with family. The front office staffs were friendly , room was clean and enough parking space. We stayed for 1 day, and traveled with family. It was very comfortable.
- Dunaway (7/5): Excellent -
- Adel (8/5): - The building is in good shape. One piece of furniture in our room was in poor shape but the rest of the room was fine and our stay was good. The breakfast is basic but sufficient.
- Scott (8/5): -
- tonig313 (10/5): A Perfect Place - It was clean, plenty of room in the room and the shower was perfect for a senior citizen. The lobby was a pleasant place to relax
- Teresa (10/5): - The nicest hotel we’ve stayed at in a long time. Absolutely beautiful, comfortable beds, spotless clean bathroom lovely continental breakfast exceptional stay. Beautiful area too.
- Patti Lou (10/5): - Staff was pleasant and easy to communicate with
- Jalisa (10/5): - The staff is nice and helpful
- Ryan (2/5): - Well we arrived cause of a issue with our house we checked in and had a smaller bed than we was promised and then my daughter found a tampon straw under the fridge and we left immediately
- Tinamarie (8/5): -
- James (10/5): - Excellent accommodations - great shower and comfortable bed
- Jordan (8/5): - Clean and convenient. Bed was comfortable staff was friendly. My only complaints were the AC unit was LOUUUD and the breakfast was really disappointing.
- Angelica (10/5): - Excellent location. Very clean and nice for families.
- Katie (10/5): - We got in late so we didn't have time to check out what was around the location.
Our room was clean, well stocked and comfortable. I would stay here again.
- JOHNATHAN (10/5): - Great stay!..thanks!

- Scott (10/5): - Nice, convenient.
- Tessa (9/5): Superb - Location was great. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast could have been better
- Mary Anne (10/5): - We were there for ice hockey and the ice rink was very close by.The property had shopping and restaurants near by as well.
- Michele (10/5): - Clean quirlet safe place to sleep
- Yaro (10/5): - There was a children's hockey tournament going on at the arena across the street. Which made the stay a bit chaotic, but understandable. All guests young and old were well behaved and having fun.
The staff were minimally accommodating.
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): - We like the lay out of the rooms
- Nick (10/5): - Good. End rooms are a lil noisy with the wind blowing but very nice hotel
- 450arthurw (2/5): Horrible Staff and Service, they just dont care - So let me preface this by saying I am a LT titanium member, with usually 80-100 stays a year. I stay at all ranges of Marriot’s from Fairfield to St. Regis and Ritz Reserve. I say this so you’ll understand, I know what I’m supposed to be getting in terms of service and my expectations of “select” property like Townplace is not what I would expect from a JW.
My stay at this location was below average, and it wasn’t for the usual reasons. Something’s a hotel just cant help, like age and appearance. A room that hasn’t been update in 10 years can only be so clean, and so functional. I accept that. I accept that a hotel might be short staffed, it is what it is. I almost never leave a negative review because typically most things are easy to look past. So with all that in mind, I have to say I have never come to a property where the employees truly just didn’t give a sh….
Some Examples:
1. I asked for a luggage cart because I had a lot of stuff to bring in, as it was Christmas. The front desk attendant, said “oh yea, there should be some out there in the front. When I told them there weren’t, He looked at me and shrugged, “Guess there all out then.” And went back in the office. Its not the fact that there weren’t any carts available, I get it, it’s the attitude and the “tough luck” mentality that was displayed to the guy with a full car of luggage and gifts for 5 people. Now here is where the brands come into play. At a Townplace, I don’t expect them to go above and beyond by helping me with my luggage or even offering to call my room and let me know when one becomes available. Just some basic courtesy would have went a long way here. I ended up waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes until I saw someone bring one back and I was able to snag it. I also observed at least 3 other individuals waiting for bell carts during my stay. You’d think at an extended stay targets location, targeted for a hockey rink like this one, they’d have more than 2 carts but that’s another issue. Since this was the first 15 minutes of me checking in, I honestly was gonna chalk this up as a one off, you know sometimes things don’t work in your favor, it happens. But this was just the beginning.
2. The shower head in my room leaked and the metal drip beneath it was loose. So it literally made this loud “DONG” every 3 seconds. The worst part was that it was random, it would drip for 10 minutes, then stop for a hour or 2, then happen again. I called down to complain, no one ever came to look at it. I could have forced the issue, but once again I did not because at this point, I just wanted to be done with place.
3. Upon checking in, I was asked if I wanted housekeeping. I said yes. We had a 3 night stay. The first night, no one cleaned. I was like ok, maybe they do every other day cleaning here, no biggie. The 2nd night once again no cleaning. I called down to the desk, and they said, Yea they should have been cleaning your room. But here is the best part, The guy literally said, “Yea I got here at 5, I don’t know what happened with housekeeping before that.” Hahahah, you’ve got to be kidding me. At this point, the service is so bad, im actually finding it kind of funny. I then ask him what do I do about towels, since we are all out and we placed them on the ground anticipating them being switched for the 2nd day. Dude said, yea just come on by the front desk at some point, and ill give you some. Now I get they might be short staffed, but at this point, they could have at least brought up some towels to the room.
To sum it all up, it was almost impressive how bad the service at this hotel was. The sad thing is, most of this can be fixed. I don’t know if they need to replace James Sherman, but they definitely need to let go of Doug. Like I Know it’s a Townplace suites and not much is to be expected, but come on guys this service was laughable.
If in Cranberry, I’d recommend the Courtyard, Residence Inn, or Marriott over this place even though this is the newest.
Honestly just stay at the full service Marriott, its generic but at least the service is aight, and the price are usually the same. IF you need the kitchen, go residence inn.
- R1794TZcherylh (4/5): We have rules about giving out water - Titanium Status here. Arrived to the hotel in the middle of freezing rain. Checked in - got room assignment - then I had the audacity to turn back to ask "hey, could I get a bottle of water?" Terrible weather, I don't want to go back out. You would think I asked for a bottle of gold. Clerk explains to me company policy that because she gave me points - she cannot give me water. Laughable - I asked for the Manager and had their policy explained to me again. Tone Deaf. You are in the HOSPITALITY business. There are other choices - you decide fellow travelers.
- Christopher (10/5): - Great location, easy to get around, also close to the penguins practice rink.
- Eric (10/5): - Easy access... friendly staff and very clean
- Mike (10/5): - Awesome Fitness Room
- Jane (10/5): Convenient to hockey stadium. Easy free parking. Friendly staff. - Love the kitchen and large storage closet in the kitchen. Plenty of drawers in the nightstand and undersink space. Loved everything.
- scott (10/5): - The entire facility was clean beyond expectation. The rooms were well laid out and also cleaned well. Service staff was readily available at all time. Overall would stay again in the future.
- Monacrh23 (10/5): Nice, solid hotel - This is a very clean, nice long stay hotel. You will not find tons of frills, however, it is clean and the mini kitchen is very nice when staying for a long period of time.
I have stayed here multiple times and the front desk. Staff makes it easy to check in and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (4/5): - I again tried to sit by the firepit that was not operating the last time I was at this hotel. They messaged me to say that they had fixed it. Well again the firepit was not working. Seems as if they don't care if it is working or not. Won't be booking this hotel again.
- Jonathan (8/5): - Great location and very comfortable beds. The only complaint would be the waffle machine was broke.
- T7561VAdavidb (6/5): Disappointed and surprised - As a loyal 20+ year Gold Elite customer of Marriott, I must speak up about our stay at this property (Conf nbr 90747). First, I could not make the room phone work: troublesome in an emergency. Secondly, there was considerable evidence of mold in the bathroom. Black caulk in the shower. And I don't want to know what's under the metal plate in the shower. The local health authorities should see that.
- Marianna (10/5): - Spent 8 days. We enjoyed our stay
- Helga (9/5): Superb -
- James (2/5): - Toilet is plugged. Sink is leaking.
- Krista (10/5): - Overall it’s a nice place
- Lloyd (10/5): - Quiet place to stay Great service.
- David (10/5): - The rooms were very clean and the staff was polite and helpful.
- Mike (4/5): After driving 500 miles for a relatives funeral the room should of been ready and clean!! - Location was great Booked room over 24 hours prior, and at 4:30 pm on the day of check in…..A room was not Ready!!!
- Harry (8/5): Very good -
- vincej193 (10/5): Safe, Clean, Friendly, Helpful, Kind, Personable! - Stayed 1 night April 23rd 2024, located just off the highway 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. Stayed at this hotel as we were headed back to Canada in the morning and brought us out of downtown morning traffic being north of the city. Arrived to a big complimentary parking lot with a nice patio at the front. Check-in was quick and easy. Doug was very welcoming and explained the amenities and local eats in the area. Lobby was very clean with a dining area and business center. Room was nice with full fridge cooktop and dishwasher and dining area that seats 4. Very comfortable beds and pillows and a terrific shower with tub. The breakfast in the morning was decent with hot omelets and sausages and a waffle station. Fresh juice, milk and yogurt available, along with cereals and coffee. Will definitely stay again when I'm back in the Pittsburgh area and will recommend to friends going down for sporting events.
- Christine (10/5): Nice area in Cranberry Township PA - Clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was very convenient. I wish the breakfast option was opened until 10am on weekdays, like the weekend
- Jemlnlx (10/5): Great Overall Experience... - Great stay at the TownePlace Suites in Cranberry Township, PA.
Stayed overnight on business as was very happy.
Conveniently located right off the main road and highway. Lots of shops and eating options arounds. Large, free and plentiful parking lot.
Easy check-in/check-out process.
Common areas and rooms were well maintained...very neat.
Room was comfy and included a kitchenette with full-sized refrigerator. Efficient temperature control. Good water pressure. Comfy bed. Lots of outlets. Quiet room.
All staff encountered were friendly and efficient.
- David (7/5): Good - A little understaffed for the sold out eclipse, but they handled themselves very well. Kudos to them. Some creamer options for the in room coffee would be a good addition, and the breakfast has room for some improvement (nothing bad about it though).
- Marisa (10/5): - Beautiful property and first time staying at a Townplace Suites. Will definitely book this again if in town.
- Diane (6/5): - We were disappointed in the WIFI. It was very inconvenient.
The bathrooms needed deep cleaning.
- Susanne (4/5): Not What I Expected - The room was clean and quiet enough, so there were no complaints there, but that is the best I can say. I reserved a suite, so perhaps my expectations were too high. Instead of walking into a comfortable, nicely appointed suite, I felt like I had stepped into a Holiday Inn from 1965. I expected more from Marriott.
Instead of a suite, my room looked more like an undersized studio apartment, stove and all, and the lack of decent lighting and the dark, oddly patterned carpet made the sparsely furnished living area appear rather dismal. Next, the finish on the mirror in the bathroom was severely worn around the edges, which only served to highlight the tiny (maybe 24-inch wide) single-sink vanity. It was a good thing that the toilet was positioned right next to the sink because its seat was the only place to set a make-up case, which brings up the three mismatched lights hanging over the sink; the globes matched, the three too-low wattage light bulbs did not - it was like trying to get ready for the day in the dark.
I envisioned checking my computer for messages, unwinding with my feet up on a comfy sofa, enjoying a glass of wine, and getting a restful night's sleep in a spacious, comfortable bed. The living area had a roll-out table instead of a computer desk, a small, uncomfortable sofa bed instead of a cozy sofa, and instead of a king-sized bed, I had a less-than-spacious queen. That was not exactly the evening I had in mind.
I don't picture myself staying here again.
- Edward (7/5): Good -
- Deborahjune (6/5): Good location - Rooms are quiet and everything was in good working order. Bathroom was clean and the shower worked great. The staff weren't as friendly as on our last visit, there were people in the breakfast area walking back and forth with bare feet, dogs were allowed in the coffee area which was right by the breakfast nook. There are good places to eat very close to the hotel.
- Ardor (10/5): Exceptional - The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable Nothing
- David (8/5): - Very clean and modern property. I will likely stay there again.
- Sajad (10/5): - This place was dope!
- Janet (8/5): - Nice facility
- Bart (6/5): Ok but no cleaning after you arrive - This was my second d visit when they didn’t clean my room regularly. They don’t clean nightly, but when I asked they said they would on the second day. They didn’t. Then on the 3rd day of my 4 night stay they simply took out the trash and made the bed. They didn’t vacuum or empty the coffee pot. They barely checked the bathroom. Not OK. The staff was nice and seemed sincere, but I won’t go back.
- tomandlea (10/5): Excellent - Friendly staff, convenient to the area, very clean, bed extremely comfortable. I am disabled....long walk to room. Maybe take an assistive device. We had drinks with family at the bar. Comfortable private seating was available. Thank you
- Francis (6/5): - Did not have housekeeping services available when requested.
- William (10/5): - Great location, breakfast, pool, spacious rooms, and wonderful staff -- our favorite place to stay in Cranberry, PA!
- Courtney (10/5): - This hotel had great staff and the room was very spacious and clean. We wish we could've stayed there longer than a night.
- stephenaJ2453LT (10/5): Kristen is Spectacular - During a meeting with my company, I was in the main lobby and closer to the front desk and could listen to Kristen working with the guests.
She is amazing at working through multiple guests at one time and answering the phone. Every interaction was above pleasant and caring with the guests. I have been in sales since graduating high school and I wanted Marriot to know that Kristen is spectacular and please let her know about this review.
thanks
- Y6841GBdanaf (10/5): Finally found a good hotel! - Very clean and quiet, breakfast was great, close to shopping and highways.
Rooms were clean and sheet/towel service was done every other day. Perfect!
Everyone working there was very cordial and polite
- Janine (10/5): - Property was excellent and short drive to downtown
- Kevin (10/5): - A seem less check-in. Nice big room with super comfortable bed.
- L8154VZtonya (10/5): Great customer service - Kristen was particularly helpful to me and the team. We spent 2 nights and 2 days using one of the meeting rooms and Kristen provided the highest quality of service throughout, ensuring we were comfortable in our stay, both day and night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nicer hotel. Friendly staff and very attentive. Good location.
- mhK9078UI (10/5): Absolutely Perfect! Highly recommend! - We were in town to participate in the National Senior Olympics. This hotel was absolutely perfect. The rooms are spacious, clean, and fully equipped. Elevators are fast and quiet. Free parking is plentiful. The area is beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast is fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Coffee, tea, juices, waffles, hot selections including eggs, bacon/cheese croissants, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, etc. are beautifully displayed, constantly re-supplied by a lovely, gracious woman. The best part of our stay was the staff. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and throughout our stay. All staff was exceptional-professional, eager to help in any way, joyful, polite. The hotel was sold out when we were there but everything worked seamlessly. There was a bustle of young, old, families, singles- yet, the hotel was quiet and friendly. I felt as I was a guest in a friend’s home. Well done! Big shoutout to Melissa at the front desk and all the staff for being the best part of our trip.
- Brian (10/5): - Good location clise to highway. Breakfast was pretty minimal.
- lauratay48 (10/5): Great for Extended Stay - We cannot recommend the Towneplace in Cranberry enough! We were there from December to May and truly enjoyed our experience! The hotel was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our extended stay, but truly what made it great was the staff. Kristen, Deanna, and Autumn were the best and loved on our family and toddler so well. We have already recommended it to friends and will be staying there again if we are back in the area.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - My only complaint would be that there was a woman who I believe was taking care of the breakfast buffet that was talking loudly and complaining about some employees in the lobby, and she was very loud about it.
- Tracey (8/5): - Clean and friendly staff. They also had a nice little food pantry for snacks.
- Mercy (8/5): - Very clean and well maintained. The rooms were actually better than what the pictures showed on the website.
The breakfast offerings are a bit limited. Eggs and sausage tasted pretty bland. Excellent coffee though :)!!
- Andrea (8/5): - The breakfast was terrible. It wasn’t fully stocked and the meat was gross and undercooked or old or something.
- Sue (10/5): - Our suite was very private and quiet. The outdoor seating and BBQ area was very inviting. Everything was very clean. And the staff was very friendly! Great place for our mini honeymoon!
- Michael (10/5): - easy in and off the highway, clean, quiet, friendly staff, what you want when on the road.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - I cannot partake of your breakfast because of severe lactose intolerance and allergies. Food ingredients should be labeled and clear non-dairy choices should be made available.
The kitchen, dining table, pantry, and bedroom were very comfortable and efficient, especially for a longer stay. Unfortunately, the pet fee is exorbitant for a one-night stay. Since the food is mostly not labeled, I do not dare eat any of it and must bring my own non-dairy yogurt, non-dairy granola, and oat milk creamer wherever I go because the chemical non-dairy creamer is disgusting.
The pet fee is exorbitant for a one-night stay.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (10/5): Great place to stay - Great amenities, and location. The front desk rep, Kristen was wonderful.
We'll be back!
- TheNatural54 (10/5): Great Hotel, greater staff - I always stay at Marriott properties, their beds and other amenities are always good. This particular hotel was top notch. Super clean, good breakfast options, and friendly staff, Especially Kristen at the front desk, who was incredibly friendly and helpful.
I'll definitely be back!
- Shirley (10/5): - We stayed at this all-suite hotel to celebrate family members
birthdays. Family traveled from Detroit, Alabama and Pittsburgh, 15 of us in all.
Our kids from Alabama are expecting their first child and we surprised everyone with the help of the amazing staff.
There is a plethora of places to seat and their were enough tables and chairs for all of us to enjoy a family meal.
The pool is so warm and the rooms are well appointed and clean. Thanks to Bonnie and her wonderful staff for making our time there so special.
- teambiggs (10/5): Best staff and amazing facilities! - We stayed at this all-suite hotel for 2 nights. (15 of us) We gathered from Michigan, Alabama and Pennsylvania to celebrate birthdays of many family members.
Our kids from Alabama came in as a surprise to everyone. The hotel staff helped us pull it all off! They brought them in from a side entrance while the family was gathered in the super spacious lobby/dining/living area. The space was perfect (with plenty of seating for comfort and dining. We pulled off a wonderful surprise and enjoyed a huge meal there!
The rooms are perfectly appointed and the pool are is warm. The pool is super warm. We had a ball! Thanks to Bonnie and her amazing team for making this a special time for everyone.
- jimhines56 (10/5): Very clean, super comfortable and centrally located - love the place - This is a perfect facility for the moderate stay...for a longterm stay perhaps other facilities that have larger rooms might be helpful but for a the week we were in town it was perfect.
The hotel is very comfortable and the vibe and service is very homey...when we return to Pittsburgh area we'll be back!
Finally the staff was a highlight. Friendly and informative...Kristen, at the front desk, was delightful and very helpful with local information we needed. She's a great "face" for the property!
- mkaydoyle (10/5): 2-83 yr old Family Stay - Our family had five rooms last weekend to stay for a wedding. Very clean, well maintained property. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hubs left keys which were located and returned.
It was loud until 10ish, which was fine. Breakfast was chaotic due to tons of young hockey players. Family friendly at the pool for 2&4 year olds. My only problem was to get five varied rooms, I booked through my Marriot membership which was significantly more expensive than the OTAs
- Basir (8/5): Nice Hotel - Nice hotel & close to restaurants & shopping. Room was clean & spacious. One of the bulbs on the bedside lamps was burned out so reported to Front Desk. Found out that Maintenance was not available until next day. Why isn't Maintenance available when guest are there? Hours should be changed to have someone available from 3 pm to 11 am - hours when guests are there. Also the light above the table burned out while we were there. Again, nobody available to change the bulb.
Breakfast was mediocre. Not much selection. Not even waffles. Have better breakfast choices at Comfort Inns.
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great stay; clean room; good breakfast (free)
- Paula (6/5): - C
I don’t understand how things that are broken don’t get addressed.
Lights burned out in the room, a kitchen sink that leaked water from inside the cabinet onto the floor and a toilet paper holder dangling from the bathroom counter.
I understand things break when people are in and out of the room but didn’t the person who cleaned the room
notice these things? Does it just not matter anymore?
- Regina (8/5): Very good - The breakfast was a good selection of breakfast food and it was fresh and good. The area was clean. longer serving times for breakfast some times getting up early when you are on leisure vacation is not convenient. The room could have been cleaner the shelves, countertops, walls, cabinets, fridge door these items I wiped down these and they were not clean or very dusty, and vacuum the edges of the room.
- Andrei (8/5): - Nice, large rooms, well maintained, essentially new. Modest breakfast included. Well placed close to major highways, but not close enough for moise to be an issue.
