- Verified traveler (6/5): No a/c - Dust everywhere! Could not use coffee machine that was really dirty. Also no air conditioning so we needed to open the windows. It was so noisy couldnt sleep at all
- Jana (6/5): - The pub had an amazing view of the harbour and the food and service were great! The rooms were small but nicely decorated. However, they were very warm. They provided fans but really need air-conditioning. We couldn't sleep because we were so hot but the bed was at least comfortable. Also, our room had no bar soap, no shampoo and no blow-dryer (our friends room had all these items though). The wood floor was dusty.

- kimberly (8/5): - The rooms are clean but stark. There is no air conditioning in the rooms and they overlook a noisy patio. The restaurant is very good but it’s not open for breakfast so you have to leave the property drive to a nearby café.
- David (8/5): - Room was really nice. No air conditioning so it got quite warm as it was a hot out at the time. Room had 2 large fan plus the ceiling fan so it was ok.
- Jenyfer (10/5): Pleasant stay - This is our second time staying at this hotel, beautiful overall, it's got a Pub and a restaurant , the view and sunsets are gorgeous out from the patio and rooms on that side. Parking is on site, the staff friendly and very helpful. Gorgeous area for all activities, hiking/ lakes or just sitting at the beach. Favorite spots- Pender Hill Trail/ Ruby Lake. We got the family room- it had a fridge/ microwave/ coffee maker, wish it had a kettle and a single eye electrical maybe stove, specially for longer stays. I will definitely return again.

- April (8/5): - Clean rooms, comfortable beds, no breakfast restaurant on site. Harbour view is only visible if standing at the window. Housekeeping/room restocking was not made clear. Bedside tables are too low to allow good reading in bed light, but other than that the room was pleasant.

Minor things, but the pub was closed and we didn’t do our homework before to learn this so it was a quiet night and we couldn’t access Netflix on the TV so we killed the time by watching on an iPad. Not much around the hotel to do.

- Lois Hiltz (4/5): OK, But not great - Our room was dusty but fairly clean and comfortable except for the fact that we had to go downstairs for ice, drinking glasses and the wi fi code. Then go back downstairs again when we were given the wrong code and no one would answer the phone in either the liquor store or the front desk. The person who gave me the wrong code was busy serving customers in the liquor store and asked me to wait and she would go and ask the bar tender what the code was. I got tired of waiting after she served the 3rd customer so I went and found the bar tender myself and obtained the correct wi fi code. Better training or a dedicated front desk employee would improve service.

- Bronte (8/5): - Check-in staff were very friendly and let us know everything we needed to know. Unfortunately the pub was closed when we stayed, but there are a couple resaurants and an IGA a minute drive away. Things close fairly early over there. The room was nice and clean and the view was great. Very serene and quiet. Would stay there again in the future!

BUT one of the rooms had a loud water dripping sound right beside our bedroom window…water dripped to the second floor’s metal roof..it was very loud at night. Keeps us awake…the other room is fine… so avoid room 114 if you can.

- Blake (6/5): - The hotel check in shares a receptionist with the liquor store, if the liquor store is busy, expect to wait a while to check in. The screen on our window was broken and there were several bugs awaiting us when we got into our room (flying beetles and wood bugs). The window with a view was very small, so not worth the extra to pay for a view. The TV was tiny and far away from the bed. The duvet was worn and frayed/pilled. My expectations were a bit higher for this place, glad I only booked one night.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - The restaurant /pub food was really good. The only downfall was that it was only open from 12:00 - 8:00 which meant no coffee and breakfast at the hotel. As for the hotel it had a very strange configuration and not for the mobility challenged.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - If you are staying in this area, this is a pretty good home base. The room was new and clean. Good (oddly high) beds. It has a hilarious elevator. No AC but lots of fans. Check in was a bit late but that seems to be a Sunshine coast theme. The only major qualm was that their internet was unusable, once connected all devices would time out. We actually had to drive to Sechelt to plan our next day and drive back to the hotel.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - I was looking forward to enjoying the ocean view, balong room but we did not get it. Also, the pub / restaurant was not open the two days that we were there so we had to look elsewhere to eat.

The hotel is modern and the materials nice. Room was exceptionally clean. There is an amazing view over the harbour but the rooms have one tiny little window that you have to be standing at to see out. Not having a large window or windows is a major miss. This is important for my next point as well. The rooms do not have air conditioning. We stayed in July. The room was very hot all night. The ceiling fan only goes slow and was not much help. Would not stay in summer again unfortunately.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The worst part of the stay was the dirty room. Dusty furniture, bed sheet had a spot of sweat, bathtub full of hair, old dirty mask on lightbulb, 2 towels for 4 people. Noone to report these after 9pm when were discovered. Complained in the morning, was promised to get a call from manager when he arrives, noone called (5 days after). Went hiking thinking when we are back these will be cleaned, nothing was with explanation that d/t Covid there is no housekeeping (noone was even wearing masks in the hotel, we stayed there between July 1-5). On the positive side- room was spacious, newly renovated with small balcony. Staff was friendly and tried to help- gave us bed sheets (so we can change ourselves), towels and toiletries.

Two spots taken up for Electric Vehicles, two for Handicap, several for 15min Beer & Wine Store, on the upper region, and the pub patrons probably use up the major of the rest and the lower region. Other than that, the hotel was very decent. (clean, fresh, current). The pub was good, Food was good. The Beer & Wine Store is very handy. I would recommend this hotel.

- Glenda (8/5): Nice hotel with gorgeous view and good restaurant. - Hotel was well maintained, comfortable with friendly staff. We were one of only two couples staying there so pretty quiet. Unfortunately we arrived Tuesday night after 7 and the hotel/bar was closed so we could get. O food there or in the rest of town. Off season. We also learned had we arrived after 9 the hotel would have been locked and no way to get in. Careful attention has to be paid to the ferry schedule. Had we missed the six o’clock we would have been stuck. All in all a nice mini vacation in a cute little town.

- Dennise (2/5): do Not stay here - We’re do I begin 😡. Room was not insulated well and you can hear pub downstairs and everyone coming up and down the elevator. Bathroom floor is freezing in the fall and not heated, fridge was loud and I had to unplug it. No aircon for summer, pillows on the bed are like sleeping on a brick, tiniest TV I’ve ever seen And we paid extra for a view room which is the biggest joke. The window is about 2 1/2‘ x 2‘ you have to stand at the window to see the view you can’t even see it from your bed. The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is the service was great and they did a good job on the finishing but cheap out on everything else and the room was not cosy at all. Definitely not worth the money

- James (6/5): - Check in was great, the people at the counter were friendly and professional. The room seemed very nice, it was a corner unit with a balcony overlooking the harbour but unfortunately that meant it was above a pub and was very noisy. It would've been worse in the summer as there's no AC and the windows would've been open. The mattress sheet had some stains and they didn't have any extras so they brought us some top sheets and we used that. The neighbors had a party then a fight with one of them pulling a gun and putting it to anothers neck so that took care of not sleeping until the police took people dawn at gunpoint around 2. All in all it's a decent place, great food and well priced.

A little disappointing that the cleaning service left a pair of men's socks in the closet and the coffee maker was not cleaned out. This would appear that areas of the room were not cleaned. We brought Lysol disinfectant and sterilized everything. The beds are a little hard and wish they were softer, but overall it is a great hotel.

- David (8/5): Great view of harbour - The room was new, clean and quiet. We were disappointed that the Grasshopper Pub was closed on Tuesday, the day of our stay.
- Scott (6/5): - Basic lodging. Location is ok but not within walking distance of anything. The bar and liquor store downstairs are quite noisy, especially at closing time with lots of loud trucks and shouting patrons swerving their way home. The rooms are modern and clean but feel like hospital rooms. Covid-19 precautions seem adequate.

It was the first time I was seeing the garbage room is beside the guest's room which smelled like a dead body the whole evening. We were four people but everything in the room like coffee, towels were for two people. Sink in the bath room was completely blocked. Elevator was super slow like one minuts per floar really.. balcony faced to parking spot and garbage bin. But for more than $200 for a night it was not worth it at all.

- Wayne (2/5): Overpriced and No AC - Checked in by pleasant young lady who doubles as cashier in Lobby Liquor store . No AC so windows open to hear squabbling of “ bush pigs “ leaving the pub. Lovely views of bay but only way to see it is from the expensive restaurant deck . Restaurant crowded but only one open tonight so not because it is good ..no other choice. Room austere but comfortable. Only thing slower than the WIFI was the elevator, faster to walk up to 4 th and we are Old ! This is a second rate hotel masquerading as better!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay - This hotel was lovely. It had good facilities in the room - with a fridge (no freezer), coffee machine and sink on a countertop. It had a luxurious bathroom. They did not have air-conditioning but provided an extra fan and actually once the sun set, the air was cool from the sea and the window could be opened. The bed was comfortable and the room had a lovely view. We had an odd numbered room, even numbers were opposite and would have more of a city/mountain view.
- Diana (10/5): Hotel in itself is good, service could be better - Location is amazing, hotel is very nice, and the pub downstairs is convenient and has fantastic food! Rooms are newer, beds are comfortable, everything is clean. They don't have AC in the rooms, just fans, which is better than nothing, but it can tend to get pretty hot. The only complaint I have is with the front desk. I had asked the front desk attendant if we could check out early, was told earliest would be 9:30 am. Earlier would've helped us to get home faster, seeing as the ferry was going to be very busy. I didn't question the checkout time, as I assumed they had to check the room before we left. When I go to checkout, the concierge just grabs the room keys from me and that's it. It did not make any sense to me why they couldn't provide a safe box somewhere for guests to drop their keys into upon checkout, if the rooms don't even need to be checked. For this reason I'll rate 8/10

- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were impressed with the room. Very clean and comfortable. Had to ask for ice from the bar as no ice bucket, glasses or ice were available in the room. Elevator was very slow. Would stay here again. Service in the Grasshopper bar was very very slow.
- Sassy (8/5): - Nice clean hotel with pleasant, friendly staff. Not much around the immediate vicinity or within walking distance but close enough to Medeira Park by car. Beautiful view from the restaurant located inside the Hotel
- Robin (4/5): Not very clean - The room was not clear. Found hair all over the bathroom floor and crumbs and dirt on the floor around the bed. We left immediately and asked for our money back. We were immediately given a refund with no argument.

- Marnie (8/5): - Room was extremely clean and staff incredibly helpful. The seafood pasta at the resturant was wonderful. What would improved our stay would have another chair. There was only one desk chair. We had 2 folding lawn chairs with us that work. Also without breakfast on site it would have been helpful to have a microwave or toaster in our room. The fridge was very useful..no freezer but resturant staff gave us ice!
- Ken&MV (10/5): - Very nice hotel with a great lounge. Would definately stay here again if I could convince M.V. to come back to this nice community in spite of a few small minded local residents. This is MV the hotel itself was wonderfully appointed and fresh,done well, The food amazing but what was particularly outstanding was the customer service that got us into a room with 6 pack of cuder and our dinner ordered all before doors closing, u live thus place, Wgat was tereible was the verbal abuse u took at a light in Gibsin about our out if province lucense pkate. The simpleminded man was ill informed and did not know that we iwn in Vancouver and were looking to relocate to Sunshine Ciast. What a bad taste thatpin head in the white van with very small cranium . thinks he knows ir all knows nothing.

- Larry (6/5): - This hotel has been updated and to that extent it is clean and the rooms are adequately equipped. The rooms are small and I would think in the middle rooms the ventilation would be poor as we had a corner room and the ventilation was just ok. There was no coffee shop or restaurant that was open . The elevator must have been an after thought because it was incredibly slow almost scary. My biggest complaint is the hotel is incredibly expensive for at best a mediocre hotel.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Make accommodation to allow us to check-in late, they gave us a microwave to use, and the furnishings were top notch! I didn't like the window coverings - the roller blind was broken and didn't block much light! It was really hard to sleep with the amount of light coming in. Also, the TV is very small.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean, neat and unique. Even though we were the only gust in the entire hotel. They didn’t offer rooms with water view. No iron or iron board. One little tiny sample of shampoo for 3 people. But 2 conditioners and 2 body lotions. It doesn’t make sense.
