Guest Reviews

- Julien (3/5): -
- Denise (7/5): Needed a stopover between airport & ferry the next morning. - Myra who met me upon check-in was excellent and very helpful. Thanks to Myra. Having a bottle of water in the room would be great.
- Ramon Dalmau (10/5): - Sencillesa, còmode i net
- Samaye (6/5): -
- Zbigniew (7/5): -
- Neddy (7/5): -
- Carlos (2/5): Not worth the 3-star rating; very dated, uncomfortable, and extremely noisy. - Positive Aspects:
To start on a positive note, the property is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the airport, which could be useful for a very short stay. There is a pleasant restaurant directly across the street, offering easy dining options. The staff were friendly and made an effort to keep the premises clean, although they are working with very outdated facilities. Areas for Improvement and Overall Impression:
Unfortunately, the overall condition of the property fell far short of what is expected of a 3-star rating.
Facilities and Ambiance: The entire hotel has an overwhelmingly blue color scheme, which gives it a very dated and tired appearance. The facilities are generally old and in need of significant renovation.
Room Condition: The room was furnished with an excessive amount of bulky wardrobes and furniture, which made the space feel cramped rather than functional. Basic comforts were missing, such as bedside tables and reading lamps. The only source of light was a single, stark ceiling light. Additionally, there were visible signs of dampness on the ceilings, which contributed to a musty smell in the room.
Bathroom Issue: The bathroom setup was particularly problematic. There is no proper door handle or knob; it is simply a wooden board with hinges, covered by a curtain in front. This makes it impossible to close the door securely for privacy or to keep steam and odors out of the room. It also prevents the air conditioning from working efficiently in that area.
Breakfast: The "included breakfast" was very minimal, consisting of only two slices of toast with a very small portion of jam and a piece of fruit.
Location and Noise: The hotel is located directly on a main road on an island with no sidewalk space. Consequently, buses and traffic pass literally right in front of the building, causing significant noise disturbance, especially in the early morning. The location is isolated and not within walking distance of any major tourist attractions or amenities aside from the restaurant across the street. While the staff is pleasant, the dated facilities, dampness issues, lack of basic room amenities, impractical bathroom design, and high noise levels make it difficult to justify the 3-star rating.
- Desi (9/5): - everything worked, ie toilet, shower, ect
- Daniel Jaunâtre (8/5): - J'étais en déplacement professionnel, donc cela me convenait très bien .
Par contre un wifi '' médiocre '' WiFi
- Björn (9/5): -
- Philippe (8/5): -
- Maevaniaina (3/5): If had known, i would have never paid that for the price - The girl was outgoing, she helped me giving her bus card. I was there only for 3 nights, fortunately. No housekeepers, the room stay as you leave it at the morning. Breakfeast basic, with egg and bread, butter. Location is not convenient because there is nothing , especially at night. It so noisy also. Bed was not comfy, no cover, pfff.
- Mathew (8/5): - A good breakfast is provided. There is a bust station about a 5 minute walk. Mr Denis provides transport to and from the airport.
- Ruud (8/5): -
- Ruud (8/5): - The friendly owner Guy who used to be a singer
- Ruud (8/5): -

- PIOTR (10/5): polecam - lokalizacja, w pobliżu parking, market, sklepy, Take Away a na przeciwko apteka i nad nią restauracja-bar z pysznym jedzeniem, no i Pani w obiekcie zrobiła mi pranie odzieży
- David (7/5): -
- PIOTR (10/5): Polecam - lokalizacja
- Alfredo_Tramarin (6/5): - Manutenzione
- Rudolf Elmendorp (8/5): - Host Guy, a former singer, is warm and friendly. He is making your stay very pleasant and comfortable.
- NING (10/5): nice -
- Andreia (7/5): Does the job for a short stay - This was just for one night to be “near” the airport.
Staff is nice and helpful.
The room is clean, good AC.
Wifi is ok.
Good for one night.
There is a take away and shops near by to have a meal and a drink and snacks. Mattress and Pillows are not very good and no blackout blinds.
Breakfast is ok.
- Tom (3/5): -
- ALEX_EHSAS (3/5): Find a better place - There is nothing to like about this place The owner kept constantly texting me and asking not to spend time at the airport and come directly to the place. Really ?
The bedsheets and towels were smelly and dirty
- remy (7/5): -
- Zacchaeus (8/5): - Apartment was clean. And most things you need are close by. The WiFi barely worked in our room, had to stay in the living room to use it. The breakfast was the same thing every day, could be better. The ad gave the impression that airport transfer to and fro is covered. So, felt a bit blindsided when we were told transfer is only from the airport.
- Matthew (9/5): - Really nice place. Great style and super friendly staff
- Rozemarie (4/5): - Breakfast was good, but the milk was spoiled. Shuttle from the airport to the accommodation was not possible.
We ask for change, but we don’t get it. The owner quickly walks away without saying goodbye. This is not an honest way of treating guests.
- Raymond (10/5): Pleasantly surprised by the service - Convenient for a one day layover. Close to the airport. Guy went above and beyond to accommodate me. He even picked me up at the airport since I was arriving late. He arranged an early morning taxi back to the airport. Wonderful experience.
- j0nataneb (8/5): A good night at 'Le Chateu Bleu' - Staff at ‘Le Chateau Bleu’ were excellent in promptly responding to all my queries prior to arrival and were ready to assist with any additional bookings I needed, such as the airport shuttle. Myra was especially welcoming when I arrived – she made sure I was well settled in and was very friendly throughout. The room had what I needed for the night I stayed, and the hotel’s location is conveniently close to the airport, which gave me a couple of extra hours of sleep before my early pickup.
- Tosin (4/5): - The property was quoted as an hotel whereas it is not, more like a bed and breakfast. The Manager was not nice at all. He kept yelling at us and even threatened to call the Police on us. He went on to say derogatory things about our country which was unacceptable to me as a proud senior citizen of my country My husband killed a cockroach in the bathroom and we saw flies around. The breakfast was nothing to write home about.
We actually wanted to move away after the first night but we decided to suck it up for 3 n̈ights.
Generally, we regret booking this place and will not stay there again nor recommend it to anybody coming to Seychelles. Its not worth the cost at all.
- Graeme (9/5): A very nice surprise. Can recommend. - Pretty much everything. Staff very helpful. Very nice place. Shops around. A little further from the airport than I thought. The mattress was a little uncomfortable.
- BBNMJ-BGGB222 (10/5): It's a very good hotel for my purposes. - I stayed from February 29 to February 8, 2025, room 4, second floor. The first thing that makes the impression is the building itself. I don’t know what Creole estates looked like a hundred years ago, but it seems to me that this is exactly what. Wooden two -story houses with huge terraces, a large living room, a kitchen and a veranda. Just walking around this house is already a pleasure - a creaky wooden staircase with the same wooden railings directly evokes thoughts about the glorious past of this house. Surely once there were many such houses, but now there are almost no left.
Room 4 is large, from furniture - a bed, a wardrobe with a mirror, a TV, a chair. From the room, two huge double doors lead to a terrace that is bordering the room on both sides. From the sun of the terrace, the blinds are closed. On the third side, the door leading to the bathroom. From the bathroom there is another door to the terrace, and the window overlooking the neighboring house. There is an air conditioner. Wi Fi works properly.
They cleaned almost every day, asking when it was necessary to clean when not. The underwear was changed every three days.
In the hotel itself, cleanliness is simply perfect. You can walk without shoes. The staff is very polite and educated. The owner of the hotel met for free at the airport and, when leaving, took it there.
The main drawback is noise. The road is noisy under the windows, on weekends, music from the restaurant opposite is noisy. Creole music on this occasion hesed a lot, it is very similar in sound with Russian music of recent years. I don’t know why, but sometimes even the words seemed Russian.
What this hotel was convenient for me - nearby there is a bus station through which buses pass from Victoria to the south of the island of MaE. Until Victoria, it is half an hour by bus, to the airport for ten minutes. If your goal is to look at the island, then this is very convenient. Nearby there are many shops with ordinary, not tourist prices.
I can recommend this hotel to those who are interested in traveling the island, for this it is very suitable. Thanks to the owner and hotel staff for their stay in it!
- Juan (5/5): Passable -
- Sini (4/5): Not good - Giving even 2 stars because the owner Guy was friendly when he took me to the Aiport early in the morning.
But otherwise I recommend to choose something else. The hotel is not cozy and the Wi-fi did not function in my room. The noise in the night time was overwhelming and my room was full with small flies.
- Konrad (10/5): - We would highly recommend this property. The host was a lovely person and did everything for us to make us feel like home. We felt like a part of the family.
Opposite the road there is a sport bar with absolutely delicious food. Go there and try fish kebab.
- Mary (6/5): Functional but not where i would choose to stay for several days. - It is very convenient for going in or out of the airport. If you are coming in late but not ridiculously late and ask them they will make sure you can get into your room. The owner and staff tried to help. And even though I was leaving early for the airport, the owner did fix me a breakfast, which I did appreciate! The rooms were clean but a bit spartan. The AC worked but not great.
- Akira (5/5): good for a quick stay - The accommodation is at a great location, the staff was helpful in terms of navigating around the area. The ad states that the accommodation is self catering and has a kitchenette, which was one of the main reasons for selecting this property. Upon arrival we were told it is not self catering and had to pay an additional fee to use the facilities.
- Wayne (3/5): Average - Guy our host was a lovely man , genuinely helpful It’s awkward to have to share , but for respect to future travelers, the accommodation is very average.
- Darby (10/5): Exceptional - Easy access to/from airport. Lively area. Host was amazing - they helped me with a lot and work up at 3 am to make sure my taxi arrived!
- Susanne (8/5): Very good -
- giuseppinam987 (8/5): 5 nights at Le Chateau Bleu - Very nice little hotel, family run, located at Anse aux Pins, 5 km from Mahe international airport. Many supermarkets and takeaways close by, bus terminal 5 minutes walking. The owner, Mr. Denis, is a very nice and helpful person. My stay (5 nights in total), was very pleasant. There is also a little garden and a terrace where you have breakfast. I recommend this place.
- Giuseppina (8/5): 2 nights at Le Château Bleu - Location, strategical to the airport, supermarkets, bus terminal, takeaways. There is also a nice little garden and terrace where breakfast is served. The owner is a very nice and helpful person. Nothing to complain about.
- Jānis (10/5): Great location, lovely hosts. - There were so kind people who let us take a shower the next day after the beach before we were heading to the airport. The place itself was very special, great location, super close to the airport and the moat beautiful beach in Mahe- Anse Royal. Also breakfast was lovely :) The noise from the street and the bar accross as we were staying Friday night. Apart from that everything was great.
- Giuseppina (8/5): 3 nights at Anse Aux Pins - Location is close to airport, bus terminal, many supermarkets close by and a restaurant just across the road. Mr Denis, the owner, is a very nice person, always willing to help. Nothing to complain about.
- Fiona (7/5): Good - Please see my other review on 10/30/24
- Fiona (7/5): Lovely place close to the airport. - This location is really close to the airport. About a six min ride on the bus but the buses don't work after 6pm and less buses on the holidays.
The owners were really nice and kind. They let me leave my bag one night since I was returning the following day. They also woke me in the morning, which was great. It's a cute place and the tv had a few channels to watch. There are a few stores that you can get water or snacks.
I wasn't able to enjoy the breakfast because I left too early. On my second stay there was a bug that was in my bed but I killed it before it went on me.
- David (8/5): Grateful for the opportunity to meet friendly nice and lovely people. - nice kind and lovely people saying goodbye
- Simao (9/5): Superb -
- sydneysteve (8/5): Comfortable stay - Located just over 3kms from the airport on the coastal road. Supermarket and food takeaway virtually next door. Bus stops nearby.
Owner's daughter friendly and helpful.
The building is showing its age but everything worked okay. My room was clean throughout. Lighting was okay except for the bathroom. It was like shaving in the dark.
Breakfast was very good.
My stay was comfortable enough.
- John (7/5): Good -
- Heidi (10/5): Nice small guesthouse - The owner, Guy, was very helpful, friendly, and accomodating during my stay. The room had a nice shower area, as well as, livung space. The location was great and near the airport. Breakfast was delicious and the place was just cute and clean. Guy, his daughter, and the rest of the staff members make the place special.
- Elena (6/5): Sorry, but I do not think that it's worth the value - People are friendly and kind, they helped in organizing taxi. the hotel is quite close to the airport and beach and shops easily reachable My stay too short to better evaluate, but:
noisy, it is on the road and no acoustic insulation.
breakfast a little poor. I would have appreciated at least a glass of juice, not just coffee.
- Kabatha (7/5): Good - Clean place and the owner is pretty much supportive Somehow noisy from the roadside
- Lebohang (6/5): Pleasant -
- Szilvia (10/5): Very impressing! The decoration is fantastic! - The place was so pretty. I really loved the blue colour and the bathroom was our favourite. It is bigger then the bedroom itself, very spacious and clean, well-equipped. Breakfast was good enough, the beds were comfortable. The mattresses were more on the hard side but for us this is the best. The lady in the house was also very kind + on our last day the owner knocked on our door to tell us sorry that he hadn't been around and asked us if everything was ok, wished us a good flight home etc. So we had a very good impression. The house is on a busy road so it could have been noisy but the rooms were facing the back yard of the house so the traffic wasn't noticable. The only thing to mention is that if you have a car you can only park opposit on the other side of the road in front of few shops. This alone wouldn't be problem but one shop owner told us not to park there + it is extremely difficult to cross the road due to traffic.
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Great host, good value for money and convenient to/from airport
- David (7/5): Good. I cannot complain - The staff are friendy and helpful Nothing in particular
- Marie (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Good - Nice lady
- Lauren (8/5): Very good - It’s perfect for the night before and after your flight. Nice comfy stay with a grocery store and really good local food restaurant around the corner. The owner and workers are also incredibly nice.
- 890riddhir (4/5): Not a good value for money - Room had strange ordor felt like it hadn't been used for quite sometime. Breakfast was good and owner along with his daughter were quite helpful.
Not a good value for money, definetly not recommended.
- Ridz (6/5): Pleasant - Staff is friendly and quite helpful. Room had a strange ordor, felt like it had been closed for a while. This stay isn't value for money.
- Teti (6/5): Pleasant -
- magig (10/5): Cozy, friendly and clean. What more? - I chose this place because of the price and location. This is the best choice if you want to explore Seyshelles by yourself and budget. Big room and the biggest bathroom. Very clean. Homemade breakfast and friendly people. The beach is about 500 meters away. And the bus stop is around the corner. Perfect place for those who love freedom, hospitality and prefer to spend money for adventures, not for luxury
- Chauhan54 (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): Good value For Money - Good communication With The owner, good breakfast and The important Things we're there Like AC. Very early Checkout time
- jimcO7243SF (2/5): Extended my trip by one night and picked Le Chateau Bleu because it’s close to the airport. - When I arrived at the hotel I couldn’t find a door that was open so I knocked and still got no response. Finally I called and the owner told me to wait and he would be there in 15 minutes. I do not think my phone called him again as it did not show any signs of a call, but he called me back. He yelled, “I told you I’d be there in 15 minutes! Just wait.” I responded that I understood, that I hadn’t intended to call him, and I will wait. He is very rude!
The hotel is very small. It is fairly clean. I’d say the one thing it has going for it is that almost everything is the same color blue, and it looks pretty good. The bed was very hard, and very uncomfortable. The bathroom is bigger and roomier than the bedroom, and I had trouble finding the light switch, (it’s in the hall by the bed). They bragged about the morning meal, but it starts very early and you have to get there early, and it’s very small. I would say overall this is a very unpleasant place to stay. I got very little sleep.
- Milena (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Very basic. Not a good value for the money. Should have been no more than €40
(10/5): Exceptional - I liked my stay in guesthouse , Mr Denis is very kind and helpful , I had amazing breakfast, thank you nothing
- kishAnSL (10/5): Great value for money! - Awesome host, Mr.Guy.. wish I could have stayed more days. Very clean and comfortable family run place close to the Airport. Good place to base if visiting south and west of Mahe.
Lot of shops, restaurants close by. Hoping to visit again for a lo ger stay.
- Kishan_aranwela (10/5): Great value for money! - Mr. Guy, the owner... Very pleasant and cheerful person made my check-in an absolutely hassle free one. Very friendly and helpful too. Close to the Airport and a very good location to explore the south and west of Mahe. A lot of shops around for food and groceries. Great Value for money. Very clean and comfy bathroom and bed although everything is blue as you can guess. No parking right in front of the place so if you have heavy luggage going to be a little difficult. Free parking available though!
- Alfred (5/5): Passable -
- iansC2441BE (8/5): Good small hotel - This small hotel is quite good. The location is easy to find and near to airport. The room facility is good. The owner/in charge person (Guy Denis) also very communicative. We just spent 1 night only but we are okay with the service. The only thing is when we checked out early morning, nobody was at the reception so we just leave the room key at the reception.
- raimondsr2014 (10/5): very nice Seychelles hotel - Very nice, small hotel with nice staff. Has to floors, no elevetor. Has graat views to the mountains from first and second floors. Nice breakfast. Better choose numbers with view on maountains, no strre, both first and second floors. No dislikes, likes everything.
- Hajaratu (10/5): Satisfactory - It was a wonderful experience
- chibuz0rj (2/5): This Man Guy Denis is a Robber of his Guests. Do not Waste Your Money on This Place - This hotel was booked for my client after the previous one he was supposed to stay in cancelled due to renovations. He got there on the 22nd of December, early in the morning and met the whole place locked. I called the owner from my country that early morning and he was very rude to me that I was disturbing him early in the morning and dropped the call. My client was locked outside for about 2 hours with all his luggage. When he eventually opened the gate he told him there is no room until 10am and kept him in the lobby. We were very angry over this treatment so we arranged for another accommodation for my client so he can get some sleep and canceled our booking at this hotel. This is early January and this man Guy Denis has refused to cooperate with the booking platform to refund the money paid to him, even after providing the worst service I have seen in a hotel. He claims my client lied to him that he was going to the airport to change money, so he won't refund the money. What a lousy and cheap liar you are! I wonder how he even runs a hotel, with such a rude and arrogant attitude. We are still battling to get our refund.
Go for other hotels. The hotel is even below standard and service is the worst in Seychelles. If you run into a problem, the owner will work against you and do everything possible not to refund you. I'm sure he uses this hotel to rip off people.
- andrewrogersd (2/5): Horrible do not visit - Bad experience one should avoid as owners are horrible. No proper facilities and you are treated badly .one of my worst experiences as a Traveller. Most unfriendly manager and management
Andrew D'Souza Goa India
- Ben (10/5): - Awesome stay and experience. Very conveniently located near the airport and near some stunning views. I didn't need to get a taxi. I just took the bus for the equivalent of USD0.50 and it dropped me off near the hotel. If you need to get to some popular beaches up north, you can take the bus from the bus stop near the hotel to anywhere in the island.
For the price of the room, I didn't count on breakfast but to my surprise it was very good.
Staff was very informative about where to go and what to do. Thank you for a pleasant experience.
- Passenger286789 (2/5): Horrible - We booked at Chateau Bleu via Booking.com (non-refundable). Our flight landed at 2am but we didn’t pay attention that the max checking time was 8pm. So we called Château Bleu to explain our situation (the day before) and asked him if he could cancel on his side so we can get refunded. The tenant told us « ok no problem » but never did it. We called several time and realized he was lying. Knowing we couldn’t do anything, we asked to the tenant if at least we could stop to get the breakfast (at 90€ we believed it was a good deal). The tenant started to get angry over the phone telling us it was impossible because he already booked the room for another couple (this conversation took place the day before and we hadn’t cancelled the night) yelled at us and cut the line. Conclusion: liar / stealer (double billing on a single room) and aggressive / rude. Stay away from this place!
- Mafokkies (8/5): BLUE, BLUE, BLUE - Guy was a great host and very helpful with information regarding local eateries, beaches etc.
The rooms are spotless and i liked the walk in shower and the air conditioner.
Very good value for money and on local bus routes, which are only 7 Rupees per trip.
- V4568AE (2/5): Look for a better place - I had a roach in the bathroom, ants on the wall and on the wardrobe. The fridge in the room was rusty inside. The old TV (no flatscreen) only had one channel with very bad reception. (room 2). In the bathroom there was still the soap from the last guest. There is no safe in the room and the door did not have a security lock. It only had an simple and ancient lock.
I did not have a good feeling while a stayed there.
The hotel is located on a main street. You will hear loud cars. There is heavy traffic that makes it hard to cross the street.
In the area there is nothing for tourists. Only some small shops with locals in front.
The breakfast consisted of instant coffee and toast that is only prepared once early in the morning. The toast and the eggs were cold and hard when we started breakfast.
The owner usually blames the guest if he gets a low rating and claims the guest was only frustrated.
- Jerome (6/5): Great place to stay on a small budget - We were a bit disappointed by the breakfast. Other than that everything else was fine.
