- drnorth (8/5): Good Value. Great Location. - Ulaanbaatar charming accommodation, at least at a reasonable price point. There also didn't seem to be any hostels in the central area of the city. H9 fit the bill. It was reasonably priced and in an excellent location. I was able to walk to everything that I wanted to see in the city. The hotel is kind of like a business hotel. Not charming but functional. Very clean and with extremely helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent. The Wi-Fi worked well and it had hot water and all of the things that you would expect. I would definitely stay there again.

The breakfast was good with lots of different foods available. Finally, the location is right in the heart of everything. This place is wonderful.

- cutiedoggy13 (4/5): Dishonest Receptionists - Was booked into this hotel by local travel agency Selena Travel. Although the room was small, it was acceptable for a single. Then explored around and so glad to find the Square was just one street to the right hand side of the hotel. Without crossing the road to the Square but turned left and walked ahead, there was a Central Mall (with small entrance) where a few restaurants were found to offer Japanese & Korean cuisines. It felt very safe to walk around this area even in the evening before sunset. After getting dark and returned to the hotel, I realized there wasn't any hot shower. I went down to the reception and the lady's expression was a bit 'shocked'. However, she promised to switch on the heater and told me to try in 20 minutes' time. After half an hour there was still no hot water and as nobody answered the phone, I went down to the reception again. This time was a guy and he 'pretended ignorant' and told me the same story that they would restart the water heater and I should try in 20 minutes' time. It was 10 degrees at night and no way I would take a cold shower. After trying every hour till midnight, at 4 a.m. and even between 6:00-6:30 a.m., there was still no hot water. Later I learned it was government's restriction in that particular district to stop heating up water. Think for bigger hotel chains (there's a Best Western just next door, they might be better prepared for these unexpected. I immediately urged the travel agency to change to another hotel as I was supposed to stay in Hotel Nine for a second night as well as the night after the tour ended. Luckily and with heartful thanks, Selena Travel upgraded me to Holiday Inn. It so happened in the first night there, from midnight till 6 a.m., there was no water supply in Holiday Inn. For travellers visiting this country, no harm asking the hotel while checking in to see if there are any restrictions during your nights of stay. For the last night in Holiday Inn, there was water supply throughout the night. Otherwise, the Hotel Nine restaurant serving breakfast was very small as a couple of tours all had their breakfasts at the same time. Choices were limited but if not choosy, can still make your stomach full.

- kerrymE952ZI (8/5): Comfortable. Clean. Convenient - A few hundred metres from the main Square in UB, this was a great place to stay for the three nights I had before my motorcycle tour. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable, with a great shower and modern climate control. The cooked breakfast doesn’t change, but it was hearty and more than satisfying. I have paid a lot more for a lot less in other countries and I wish I’d managed to get a room here at the end of my tour. The staff were lovely and helpful and spoke multiple languages. Highly recommended.
- Avagoodweekend (8/5): Reasonably priced central hotel option - Well located hotel opposite the National Art Gallery and on the same street as the Gobi flagship store. A couple of hundred meters to Parliament and the main square. Not very many rooms and all on our floor were suites with a king size bed and separate lounge, desk and kitchenette. Aircon worked well and a window in the bedroom could open to catch cool night breezes. Breakfast was OK- nothing special but the usual selection that we found throughout our time in Mongolia. We would have liked some fruit options in addition to the salads and hot stuff. Bed was comfy and not on the hard side like most in this country. Check in was straightforward but check out can be busy with delays late morning. Also they want a 20000 local currency or US$5 deposit for the key which is returned on check out.

- 87geel (6/5): Tiny rooms, good location - Overall the room and bathroom were clean but the room itself was astoundingly small. Literally a bed … room. Breakfast was pretty good but it was good enough for a one time stay at least. Location is excellent, close to the main square and peace avenue. There are plenty of things to see around, but if you’re considering for price per square foot I’d say this was not quite value for money.

- angela (10/5): Nice hotel in good location - The hotel shows some wear and tear in spots, and the bed was really hard. But the room was large and the bathroom/shower was too. The staff are all efficient and courteous. I had zero Mongolian language skills, but most had good English and the rest used translator apps with me. The breakfast buffet was excellent when they had it, but on days ordering off the menu (still free) was good but not great - the choices were limited and only average quality. The location of the hotel was awesome! Very walkable with bus stops within a couple blocks. Convenience store across the street and restaurants all around the block. If we go back, we'll stay here again.

- Batoru (4/5): 何回か使いましたが、サービスの質が落ちている - 禁煙の部屋を予約したが、トイレ・バスルームにひどいタバコの匂い。翌日に部屋を替えてもらいましたが、温水ヒーターが効かない。薄い布団で我慢していたら、部屋の修繕をするので引っ越ししてくださいと。一週間弱の滞在で2回引っ越ししました。 チェックインの際に、20000MNTの現金デポジットが必要と言われ、払った。が、チェックアウトの際に、担当者が変わり、デポジットのことは知らないと。一応友達の口座番号を教えたが、そのお金は戻って来るかは不明。

Pretty poor breakfast by western standards but edible. Location can be a it noisy if windows open. Aircon was working forst stay but seems disabled second stay. Staff very helpful

Televisions and remote controls didn’t work, no safe in some rooms Most importantly, please be proactive to ask for your deposit back on checkout. The receptionist did not give us back the cash deposit until we came back to ask for it. It happened to both of us and we checked out at different times.

But the staffs were kind and fluent in English, and tried their best to help visitors. They make taxi reservation to the airport which is 120000 MNT or $36, only in cash. If you want to use ubus, they make a call for you. It’s 30000 MNT so much cheaper, but be ware they may not be timely.. I waited more than an hour.

- GUISUN (6/5): 오래된 호텔입니다. - 전반적으로 올드한 상태입니다. 무료조식(나쁘지않음)이 장점, 가족(4명)이 머물기 위해 넓은 스위트 객실입니다. 침대도 킹사이즈 정도여서 2명이 자도 충분한 공간이였어요. 하지만 침구에도 일부 얼룩이 있었고, 바닥카펫은 많이 더러워요. 냄새는 그래도 심하진않았어요. 복도에 음식냄새가 나지만 괜찮았어요.
- keiko (10/5): - 清潔でちゃんとお湯が出て水圧も悪くない。空調も問題なし。スタッフは親切でチェックアウト後の荷物預かりもスムーズでした。ただし荷物は1週間とかの長期も対応してるらしく、当日引き取りの場合は最初からスタッフにその旨伝えたほうがスムーズです。朝食は簡素のブッフェですが、モンゴル自体わりとどこもそんな感じだったので、スタンダードホテルとしては標準かなと。

Breakfast is included but unimpressive. As a hotel often used by small tour groups, it could run out of some items rather early in the morning.

- HnS_11 (10/5): Great little hotel in a nice location & with a good breakfast. - I definitely recommend this hotel. The bedroom and bathroom are nicely appointed and very clean. Reception team are professional and friendly. They can arrange an airport transfer (approx $36 at time of writing). The breakfast was nice with various choices (I stayed at a different hotel on my return to Ulaanbaatar and that one was horrendous). Great location. You walk out the hotel and turn left and there is a bank on the next block. You turn right outside the hotel and you walk for a couple of minutes and are at The Gobi Cashmere shop and the big central square. Maybe 15 min walk from the square is the State Department Store and before that are silver jewellery shops. You’d be bonkers not to stay here.

- Erdal (8/5): - Die Unterkunft ist in der Nähe des Stadtkerns und man hat viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Frühstück ist leider zu eintönig da immer die selben Sachen angeboten wurden sind, da besteht auf jeden Fall Bedarf an Verbesserung.Ansonsten ist es sauber
- Markus (6/5): Preis ok - Preisleitungsverhältnis top. Zimmer ok, aber sehr alter Teppich und Frühstück ist eher unter Durchschnittlich.
- Turgay (10/5): - Overall it was a good stay for a week long stay. Very convenient, central location. Room was clean and warm. All basic necessities except soap missing in the bathroom. Breakfast was just alright. Good value for money.

- Emi (8/5): - 思っていたよりきれいで静かで広い部屋でした。 ホテルの情報では無料の駐車場があるとか、駐車場利用料込みとか、施設内外に無料の駐車場があるとか色んなところに書いてありますが、このホテルに駐車場はありません。皆さん気をつけてください。
- gillianm567 (8/5): Great value hotel - The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the main square. My room was small but adequate with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water and clean towels. The temperature is hot as it's very cold in February but I needed to open the window occasionally as it can get stuffy. There's a choice of local or western type breakfast which is OK. Nothing special but adequate. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and speak good English which is important as Mongolian is very difficult to learn. A very good central hotel and well recommended.

- Vanara (10/5): - The hotel was clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to arrange a ride to the airport without a problem. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city and square as well as shopping areas and restaurants. There is also a vegan restaurant right behind the hotel!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - 욕실과 화장실이 따로 있어서 좋았어요. 어메니티는 칫솔치약, 샤워젤. 일회용 실내화(질 좋음), 수건 제공되고 드라이기 있었습니다. 비누, 샴푸 없어요. 가지고 간 종이비누 써서 요청하면 주는지는 모르겠습니다. 냉장고 코드가 빠져있고 탁상 스탠드 코드가 꽂혀 있었으니 냉장고 쓰실 분은 확인 하세요. 국영백화점까지 걸어서 20분 정도? 생각보다 가까웠습니다.

The price is very reasonable. I also stayed at the Best Western Tuushin which is a more luxurious hotel but a significantly greater cost.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Solid hotel! Just a couple amenities missing. - It is a great little hotel. A bit bummed there wasn’t a mini bar or room service but that’s also not always the usual in places like this. The tv also didn’t work in the room, but again not a huge deal.
- Bujee (10/5): Great location in the center of city. - Great location in the center of city. Comfortable rooms, and nice place to meet friend in the lobby restaurant which is located on 3rd floor. The view is great there from your room and restaurant. would be happy to recommend this hotel. Staff are very polite, and helpful

- VenisianaD (10/5): Recommended Stay - Except for the hot and cold water which is a bit unstable, the rooms are comfortably warm when outside temperature was -18C : in regular rooms at 5th floor, I open the windows at night to allow cool breeze in, but in larger rooms at 6th floor, room does get a bit cool that I asked for portable warmer to heat up the room just before night sleep. Warm delicious American breakfast made my mornings coming back from extended village trips. It’s located near convenient stores and also just walking distance to city center.
- Gillian (10/5): Great location - I've stayed here 3 times over the past month and always enjoyed my staff. The staff are pleasant and helpful but the location is excellent. A few minutes walk from the central square with shops, banks, etc. The rooms are absolute fine, clean with a comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water, tea/coffee facilities and TV. Definitely recommend as the price is also very good.

- VictoriaSPhelsinki (10/5): Downtown Ulaanbaatar - The hotel is conveniently situated just a couple hundred meters from the main square. The managers are helpful, I could call them in the night to make changes in reservation. All staff speak English. It's a stone's through to the shopping malls, museums, banks. I recommend a book store just around the corner, it has books in English and translations in Mongolian.
