Guest Reviews
- Fredy Esneyder (9/5): -
- A localização é excelente..
A funcionária maravilhosa que me atendeu…deixaram eu fazer o chek in antes, isso foi maravilhoso também. Quartos sempre limpos. Cama maravilhosa.

- Klara (8/5): We had a lovely time in Patagonia Suites - Friendly and attentive staff, comfortable room and bed, good shower and we loved the veranda. We appreciated access to the kitchen, fridge and kettle and they were ready to accommodate requests for adapters and laundry. The hotel is located 15 minutes from the centre with a couple of nice restaurants close by. It could use a bedside lamp or two.

- TEODORA (10/5): - Muy amables
- Jannike (7/5): Fine for a short stay, lots of potential for improvements - Everyone working there was super friendly. We were able to keep our luggage there for a few hours after checking out. The location is good, situated between the town centre and the bus station (around a 15-minute walk each way). The split-level apartment was quite big and it was clean. The bed was very cozy. The place has a lot of potential, but it currently lacks a bit of soul. It feels a little bleak in terms of furnishings, and a few small touches could make it feel a lot more welcoming. The kitchen also lacks many basic utensils for cooking even simple meals, e.g. a chopping board, proper knife, kitchen towel, bowls, drying rack for the dishes. When we arrived, the fridge was not plugged in, and the heater in the bedroom couldn’t be adjusted and was quite hot (although the staff helped with this). The walls are also very thin, so depending on your neighbours it can be noisy at night even if they aren’t being unreasonably loud. Breakfast is very basic – coffee, two small croissants, and a few pieces of toast with packaged jam and butter. It might be nice to include a bit of fruit or an option for eggs, especially if free breakfast is advertised as being included in the price.
- Raquel (9/5): Fantastic place to stay - We have an issue with a leak in the toilet, it was very late at night, the staff was really kind and they relocated us in a new room. They were very helpful and a problem quickly had a solution. Breakfast and cleanliness were outstanding. A little far from the CBD but that means is just a 20 minutes walk, nothing too bad.

- FIona (8/5): Overnight stop enroute from El chaten to Puerto Natales in Chile. - Friendly welcome. Close to the lake. Not far from bus station (although a lot of gravel roads to wheel case). They ordered us a taxi in the morning. Two minute drive back only 5000 pesos. Lovely verandah so could sit outside our room. Clean. Early breakfast available at 6:45. Good value. Had to pay in pesos. Credit card had a surcharge. They need to let you know when booking.
Basic breakfast. No cereal, no fruit, no pastries. Just a piece of toast and a microwaved croissant. But ……. For the price you can’t complain.
- William (9/5): - Cozy and beautiful spot, worth all the money. Sweet personale. The breakfast was only bread and coffee
- OLIVIER (10/5): -

- Jonathan (10/5): Comfortable and cosy in an ideal location, recommended - Comfort and location and the Manageress was extremely helpful. Nothing to say, I had no faults
- Maria Yolanda (9/5): - Las instalaciones cómodas y nuevas.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff Only australian type sockets. Bring your plug adaptor.
- William (6/5): Nice room and staff, though let down by the breakfast and location - Room was nice and big. Hostess was lovely and helpful.
They organised early breakfast on excursion days.
Excursions pick up from the hotel. It was farther out from the Centre than I expected. They said it was close but not that close. Not much in the way of amenities close by.
Breakfast was boring - basically just toast and jam every day. No fruit, eggs etc.
- Pascale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sasheto (8/5): Clean and comfortable - It's clean and comfortable. The staff does not speak English, but are very kind and helpful.
A little far away from the city center, but its quiet and the veranda has nice view.
- Kevin (10/5): Helpful staff, close to town and restaurants - Quiet
- Daphne (9/5): Comfortable and spacious room - Clean and comfortable. Spacious room and comfortable bed. A bit out of the centre of town but plenty of places to eat nearby. Limited breakfast. Plastic sachets for soap, shampoo, jams etc at breakfast - not good for the environment.
- Amin (8/5): Very good -
- Siôn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lilla (8/5): Very good -
- Sonali (8/5): Very good -
- Judit (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from both the bus station and the town center. Like many places in Patagonia, it’s situated on a dusty road.
The rooms are spacious, and we were fortunate to be given a family room. However, sound insulation is poor, making it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms. The rooms are warm with good heating if needed, and the showers are strong, though the drainage in ours was slow. I also had to point out a missing bathroom light bulb, which I hope has since been addressed.
There’s a small view of the lake in the distance, and the outdoor seating area is a nice touch. Guests can use the kitchen, although it could benefit from more tools. Breakfast is very basic, but the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers good parking and accepts credit cards, which is convenient.
Overall, this is a good place to stay, despite a few minor issues.
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raphael (9/5): Superb - The staff They charged us an extra 15% for paying with credit card that was never mentioned during the booking process or the booking confirmation!
- Angeliki (9/5): Superb - The room was large with perfect view and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The personnel was very kind and helpful. I definitely suggest the hotel.
- Jakub (5/5): Be aware and double check - The room was clean with towels and soap. The place was clean. Thin walls between the rooms.. we could hear conversation of our neighbours. It was not so comfortable (they were loud).
But the worst thing was the older lady in the front. Everything was good even with my so-so spanish until the moment of breakfast. She denied us to have breakfast even though we had breakfast included in our booking. She told us that we need to pay for that. I chose this establishment on our long journey because it includes breakfast (so we didn't buy anything for the morning) and this act was so disappointing. We are not the only one with this type of issue as I checked reviews on Google. Will not recommend this establishment.
- Kiran (8/5): Good! - Clean Breakfast is very very basic and the property is little secluded.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - The units are all on main floor with private terrace. This is great. Rooms are good and comfortable. Breakfast is cheap and basic. It is an easy walk to the city. Manager and mother are both very friendly people. The units are on a gravel road. No problem with a backpack or car/taxi arrival, but definitely an issue when getting there on foot with suitcases on wheels.
- Lior (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay in El Calafate
- Caitlin (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (4/5): Do not stay here - dirty, unpleasant, overpriced! - Nothing. Remote, hard to find. Dirty comforter, live spider and dead bug in sheets. Crabby, difficult older woman checked us in after ordeal finding place. She spoke virtually no English and didn't even try to follow my simple Spanish. Included "breakfast" was instant coffee and half an old muffin - pathetic. Avoid this place at all cost! El Calafate has many better options for budget lodging.
- Hildemaro (10/5): Amazing - Location and privacy! Anything! Everything was wonderful
- Elena (7/5): Good - Rather old accommodation, very basic breakfast (1/2 toast, 1 mini croissant, 1 cookie, coffee)...paperlike walls, you could hear everything..you get a 10ml shampoo. Disappointed
- Johann (1/5): It was disappointing for the price - The location is fine The showers are lukewarm at best, and the blanket do not have sheets and have stains on them! Very disgusting.
- Manoel (4/5): disappointed I will never return - I do not remember anything It's a place far from everything, you have to take a taxi to get to and from the center, there's nothing around.
- Susan (7/5): Helpful staff - The staff were very friendly but it was a bit remote for me. Would be good for people with a car. You could hear every door banging and other guests talking in their rooms.
As a solo traveller I would have been better nearer the town, my error when booking.
- Fernanda (8/5): Very good -
- Marco (4/5): Disappointing - Clean and ok location to town, still a good walk to get to main strip. Seems very new. Very Stark and not very warm, very clean and new. Good economical basic lodgings. No fridge or AC.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (5/5): Facility is more fitting for low budget travelers. - Old lady host was super attentive and kind. Listened and helped every way possible. Facility has paper thin walls. You can practically hear everything from next unit.
- H (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gail (6/5): A place with potential - An elderly lady was the only person constantly there. She was nice but spoke only Spanish. Location: 10-15 minute downhill walk to town. Room: size was good and clean except for the bathtub. There was a table and chair outside our room, which was nice. For those with a car, there is plenty of parking. Unless you speak Spanish, communication is difficult. The lady who checked us in understood English but we never saw her again after that. Bathtub and shower curtain could be cleaner. Our linen had an unpleasant odor so I emailed the property asking for new linen. Did not get a response. If our linen was changed, I did not smell a difference. Breakfast consisted of a piece of toast, jam, a croissant and slice of sweet bread and coffee. Contrary to the photos on their website, there was no fruit, no cereal, no juice.
- Delimar (7/5): Good - Good location, not too far from the town, walkable (about 15 mins) Rude staff.
- Anna (8/5): Comfortable rooms - Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Walls don't block the noise of other guests. Hosts could provide more explanation about breakfast. Sheets gave me electric shocks!
- Jenna (8/5): Very good -
- Jorge (6/5): Pleasant -
- Carol (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff Rooms were too cold. Need all the blankets they leave for you.
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Elisa (8/5): Very good -
- Dena (9/5): Relaxing and Comfortable - Relaxing and comfortable. The woman here was so sweet and always made sure I had my coff and toast. I thought breakfast would be more than coffee and toast
- Hud2067 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madeleine (6/5): Fine for a short stay - Motel like set up 15min walk from
Bus station We could not turn down the heating
- Lissette (10/5): Great value - Quiet, clean, hot water and comfortable beds. Place to park my car That couldn’t use the kitchen
- Mikhail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sebastian (7/5): Good -
- Daphne (10/5): Overall, comfortable room that I could stay in for at least half the day! - The exterior of the hotel looks pretty. Room is also clean, towels are provided. Staff is extremely friendly (although she can only speak spanish so prepare to use your google translator to communicate!). She helped call me when my tour guide was here, collected my touristy photos at the reception, prepared breakfast as soon as she can as I had to rush for my tour, and helped checked multiple times if I needed an airport transfer. The location is not near the city centre (already known) - which was fine since I was really tired from long haul flights and tours, hence didn't want to explore that much. It was also getting dark and colder. Though most tours upon request would stop you at the city centre at the end of the tour, it's likely walkable back to the hotel. Blanket could be thicker, and the warmer (?) didn't seem to work.
- Sergey (8/5): Very good -
- Tore78 (7/5): Ok hotel in El Calfate - Comfortable rooms with a table and chair in front so you can sit outside. Has parking right in front. Some of the staff wasn't the nicest you have met. Breakfast was just one croissant and a sweet cake.
- Leland (10/5): Exceptional - new and very clean as well as close to town
- Abigail (5/5): On the outskirt of town. near bus station. very okay.. - Breakfast was not free so not sure. Door knob was broken for our room. kitchen very minimally equipped. dirty dishes in the cupboard and only 2 spoons
no pots/pans
dirty conditions in the fridge and freezer
- Pei (8/5): Fuss-free stay at El Calafate - Welcoming staff. I liked that the accommodation was a 15-min walk from the centre. Overall our stay just felt easy and fuss-free. Just a heads up that communication with the hotel staff may be difficult if you don't speak Spanish.
- Hong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Avihil (8/5): Very good -
- Eva (8/5): Very good - Room was ok and clean. Staff was friendly. Parking spot. Good location. Poor breakfast
- Vera (8/5): Very good - Spacey rooms, comfortable bed, good location (15 min to the city center), quiet Breakfast is theoretically included, but in reality quite underwhelming (piece of bread with jam & butter and coffee)
