Staff is top notch and attentive, the pool is great for the kids, breakfast is lovely, and the rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. Sorofi, our housekeeper, was the single largest contributor to the happiness of our stay.

The property has a confusing blend of modern features alongside areas that feel noticeably old, which affects the overall ambiance. My room was cozy and comfortable, but the food was mediocre and didn’t meet the level of service the staff provided. With a few improvements especially in consistency, upkeep, and dining quality; the hotel could offer a much better experience.

The water is heated enough for swimming, not steaming hot but convenient when you don't want a cold pool. The food was great too, I went for platter for two and it was alot that I had to carry away.

The room was not properly cleaned, with visible dust and an unpleasant odor upon arrival. Basic amenities that were promised were either missing or not functioning, and the staff seemed uninterested in addressing concerns. Service was slow and unprofessional, making it difficult to feel welcome or comfortable. To make matters worse, the noise levels throughout the night were unbearable, leaving me unable to rest properly. For the price paid, I expected much higher standards. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to others.

With a very lame annoying excuse instead of just saying a simple sorry and apologize 😢 . The house keeper, Sorophine and Grace are just excellent with their job. Kudos. And also the resturant service is good enough with their job. I enjoyed their delicious meals. They really helped me have an a very easy stay. The likes of Mary and Konzolo (the receptionists) , Sorophine, Grace ,Neil, William and Mark. These guys are so so amazing. I hope you keep them and reward them for their good jobs

Right from the receptionists - all 'M's (Marylene, Mary & Moureen) plus a gentleman (Timothy) ... to Barristers (Peter, J. Og, Greg, Mike, and a lady whose name I didn't catch), they made my stay homely. The barristers gave me best recommendations on the right meals to go for whenever my appetite was giving up which turned out to be exactly what my system needed, while the receptionists were great coordinators of various essential services. Big ups to the chefs too for making the best meals I've ever tasted. I also got served by great team of housekeepers who ensured the room was neat and tidy. Thanks big-time, I can't wait to return, and recommend Clarence House Nairobi for anyone who wanna have a great time working, and generally having some fun. 👏 Below I upload the menu I found in my room 111 from which I easily coordinated with both the Restaurant 7th Flr and the reception GFlr.

The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and have everything you need for a full workout — whether you're into cardio, strength training, or just starting your fitness journey. Special mention goes to my wellness coach, Fred. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely passionate about helping his clients reach their goals. Fred takes the time to tailor workouts to individual needs, pushes you just enough, and always maintains a positive, motivating presence. You can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about progress, not just performance. Highly recommend the gym — and if you can, train with Fred!

I wish they had a rowing machine but other than that, they’ve got everything I need. Will definitely keep coming back.

- Richard (8/5): Well Located Property in a Quite Area of Nairobi - The Clarence Hotel is well located in a very peaceful area of Westlands and ideal for those who have meetings in this area that you like to retire to somewhere quiet at the end of the day. The welcome on arrival was very good, from Naomi. There is a rooftop terrace with reasonably sized heated swimming pool which leads back into a bar area and then into the restaurant. Furthermore for the colder months, there is plenty of seating with good views over the city. I was impressed with the security at the main gate, which is always a concern when travelling to Africa. I had a couple of teething issues with my room but nothing to write home about. These were handled extremely well by the general manager himself, Renny whose whole demeanor was friendly and kind person who seems fully committed to a good customer service. My thanks to Daniel who saved the day when the safe decided not to function properly although it could have been my fault! He competently sort this problem out. My room was more of an apartment and huge in size so it really felt like coming home at the end of my busy day in the city. The breakfasts are quite basic and could probably do with some thought on ways in which improvements could be made but I would say on reflection they are adequate. There is an extensive dinner menu and I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was and in particular the chicken korma.
