katherinebC6405WV (10/5): Exceptional Staff, Exceptional Stay! A Real Gem - What a gem! I brought my 10-year-old grandson here for a staycation and we had the best experience! Sparkling clean and beautifully decorated, comfortable beds with cozy linens, an exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff, and little touches like a beer and wine reception, Wii gaming system, and nice pool with thick towels really elevated the experience. We got one of the simplest rooms and it was stocked with real silverware, porcelain dishes, a toaster, microwave, refrigerator, and sink, and a Keurig coffee maker. Honestly, I couldn’t remember how much I had booked the room for and was pleasantly surprised by the folio. This experience was similar to staying at a luxury brand, but at a more affordable price! The hotel is nice, but it’s the staff that really sets this place apart. Hats off to the management and everyone who works here for making this place so special for guests. I was already on the Element website looking for properties in other places we are visiting in 2026! Meanwhile, my grandson and I are planning our next staycation at our newfound favorite local spot.

Great location near restaurants and retail. Spacious room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Love the room-darkening shade. Terrific bathroom - bright, modern, spotless, great water pressure in shower. Very reasonably priced - great value for your money. Would stay here again. Highly recommend.

CINDY (10/5): Great stay - Our room was on the 4th floor, towards the back, so it was quiet and restful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The front desk personnel, Spencer and Alba were helpful. We had to ask for towels for the pool area, and my husband was short with Alba, but she was still professional and pleasant. (Sorry, Alba!) Later we asked for milk to go with some dessert that we brought back, and she was helpful then as well. I would stay here again.

Jason (10/5): Great place - We were there for the State Track meet. Great location with bars and restaurants wishing walking distance. Only a 15 minutes drive to Drake Stadium. Hotel is clean, very well maintained, and a great value for the price. Just FYI there are no ice machines, but they have complementary bags of ice that you can grab at any time in the snack area. We will definitely stay here again next year.

The rooms are spacious and pristine. The pillows are great—had such a good nights sleep! Happy hour with wine, beer, and cheese was an unexpected bonus. The breakfast is ok — sufficient to start the morning. We also liked the location—close to shops, eateries, and a neighborhood where we enjoyed stretching our legs for a pleasant walk after a 10 hour drive.

roman (10/5): - THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME VISITING YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOTEL,,WE CAME UP TO DE MOINES FOR THE DARCI LYNN CONCENRNT THAT WAS RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE HOTEL( how convenient was that?didnt have to worry about parking at all!!the staff was excellent especially Terril who helped us with check inn yesterday after noon. our breath was taken away about how exceptionally clean our room was (335) we felt right at home,the young lady working the front desk Alba was very helpful on suggesting local eateries within walking distance so we did not have to drive, and when we got back from the concenrt Alba took the time to help upload pictures i had taken of the hotel and pict of the concernt,the bed was nice and cozy it felt like we were sleeping on air!!!the gentleman this morning i believe his name was Michael chatted with us like we were old friends and thanked us for visiting and told us to have a safe trip back, the breakast was hot and had a great variety of items avaiable,,,the only drwback was that i forgot our suits so we unfoutratntley coukd not use the hot tub .its just me and my hubby and he never wants to get away but he chose this hotel all by himself and the venue and even if it was just obe night we are so glad that it was at your hotel!!we will defetinley be back soon i hope, thanks for being such a great hotel which was ewasonably priced and staff who REALLY CARED about the well being of thier guest!!! suberb suberb!! vVERY PROUD patrons!!!! X5244FClorim (10/5): a +++++++++++ - My husband and i stayed in your beautiful hotel on March 21, 20225 and to say it was an exceptional stay would be an understatement!!! we came to attend the Darci Lynn who was performing at the funny Bone across the street ( by which was VERY convenient) the staff was very friendly and answered questions for us like best places to eat within driving/ walking distance, the room was exceptionally clean, the breakfast this morning was very good and hot and had many great choices!!! we would not hesitate staying in your fine hotel next time we are in town, and i hope that will be soon because my husband is a country guy and NEVER wants to leave and go anywhere, but it was just nice to get a time away from "REAL LIFE' if just for a night!!! hope to see you soon and keep up the great work, best hotel we have EVER experienced in a longgggg time, i was sad that we did not bring our suits so we could experience the hot tub!!very sastsfied the old couple from Akron Iowa!!!

Bryan (8/5): - The element is in a pretty good location if you want to do some shopping at the mall nearby or if you need to run to Walmart or Target quick it’s all in a central location. Plenty of options to choose from for eats around this location. Pretty easy to get to from the interstate. They have a small indoor pool that was family friendly. The hot tub was outside next to the pool area in case you are wondering. The king bed suite we booked was decent and clean. The breakfast was great, the food was fresh, the kitchen staff were very friendly and professional, and plenty of sitting in the eating area or in the nice lounge area. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

I wish we couldn't hear the neighbors next to us with a locked adjoining door, but that's not too unexpected for a hotel.

Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent stay! - We had an excellent stay at Element! The hotel was clean, beds comfy and spacious, and customer service was great. We love the outdoor hot tub when it was a cool night. There are also many chairs, tables, and fire tables in the courtyard that would be nice to use when it is warmer out. Staff were courteous and friendly and breakfast was very good.

Luckily we traveled with our sound machine but still heard it. This is not the hotels fault but something I’ve never experienced.

The happy hour was a nice surprise -glass of wine with cheese, olives & bread at small table in the courtyard - perfect way to end a long travel day. Our room was comfortable, clean & quiet. We ordered pizza to go from the restaurant across the street for dinner in the room- kitchenette complete with silverware & plates worked well for us. The breakfast buffet was excellent- loved the yogurt bar plus eggs, pancakes…& an attentive cheerful staff. Would definitely return! Thank you.
David (10/5): - The front desk staff was exemplary, as were the breakfast servers. The breakfast choices were plentiful; I appreciated that. I was unused to the magnets for the “do not disturb” option; another guest pointed it out to me. The cleaning seemed to be random.
