Guest Reviews
- Naomi (10/5): - Me ha gustado
- Anna (10/5): - A very small but efficient room for the night. It was an adventure with 7 adults!
- Verified traveler (10/5): 交通便利、房間可看到富士山 - 離富士山站、金鳥居很近、房間就可以看到富士山(雖然會被電線桿擋到XD),老闆很親切~
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Ashoor (9/5): Superb -
- Bee (9/5): Superb - I like the location No
- Thomas (10/5): - We stayed in the Japanese style Tatami room - it was m partner's favourite accomodation in Japan. It was spacious, with three rooms. It was very clean and everything we needed was provided. The owner warmly welcomed us upon check-in and then left us to our adventures (which is our preference). Would definitely stay here again.
- Salem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jindan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Binti (9/5): Superb -
- Tibbe (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful accomodation with incredible view. Would definitly recommend!
- Michael (7/5): Very good value and comfortable. - Great location next to the bus stop nice lighting and air conditioning, as well as provided trash can and microwave. Lingering smell, could hear someone underneath when leaving the primary room to go to the bathroom. The pillow was also hard.
- Petr (7/5): Good - Fantastic location within walking distance of the train station, with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji right from the window. The traditional Japanese-style room added a charming and authentic touch to the stay. Unfortunately, there was a strong unpleasant smell coming from the shower, which took away from an otherwise lovely experience.
- Suzin (8/5): Very spacious appartment - Right next to the train station. Very spacious appartment and lots of equipment available. Tatami beds was a change. Huge shower. Checkin well organized. Great communication! You can open the windows. There was a weird smell while we were there. Pillows are rock hard.
- Susan (9/5): close to train - easy check in
clean
shower water pressure so good
spacious
lighted toilet
able to open windows for fresh air
owner gave us a huge orange
perfect location to walk to train
could see mt Fuji from room towels small
japanese style beds on floor hard on the back
stairs had to climb were hard with luggage
- Jeremie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheryl (8/5): Less than 1 minute walk to Mt Fuji St - Very close to Mt Fuji station. The lady owner is very kind. Ryokan room quite old but it was quite clean. Heated futons are ready to accompany through Kawaguchiko's cold nights. No sink to wash dishes
- Elad (7/5): Good -
- Kanyaphat (10/5): - สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบถ้วน เจ้าของที่พักนิสัยน่ารักมาก
- Matheus (9/5): Superb - The house was very good, big and it had everything we need, it was clean, good location, free parking, wifi… Unfortunately the bathroom drain was smelling bad, it didn’t affect our stay and the bed room, but the corridor window needed to stay open all the time.
- Ghannam (8/5): Highly recommend especially for families - Very convenient location. In front of the station, in the center of the city.
Very kind owner
The room is very spacious and clean . It was not only a room, rather an apartment of 2 spaces rooms. You will find all what you need. I wish if the owner uploads on booking websites the building from outside, which makes customers more comfortable when booking.
- Channa (10/5): Exceptional - The location was ideal with a short walk to the Mt Fuji station. You could also view the Mt Fuji mountain from the window on a clear day.
- Jindan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Han (7/5): Good location - Good location, near to Fujisan station and next to 2 car rental. J-net car rental is next door The toilet is outside the apartment. Inconvenient to go to the toilet at night.
Difficult to get out of the bund bed due to the barrier on the bed side.
- Pakamon (8/5): Very good -
- Claudia (4/5): Not comfortable. Staff friendly enough though - Property was in a good local, had parking options and a view of Mt Fuji from the bedroom window.
The room was also used as a storage area for all the cleaning supplies. Unfortunately it had a sewerage smell coming from underneath the sink. The solution from the staff was a can or air freshener.
Hard to sort out problems in different languages sometimes, so we just sucked it up and slept with the windows all open as the smell was unbearable with the room sealed.
- Iosdel del roble (10/5): - Me volvería a hospedar ahí
- Yu En (8/5): - Convenient location as it is opposite mt fuji stn. However, the toilet at located outside of the house and the heater is not working, very cold.
- Drake (10/5): Exceptional - It's location is walking distance from Mt. Fujisan station.
- Villanueva (7/5): Probably would not book this again if we go back to Mt. Fuji. - Location was great. One block from the train station. Restaurants and grocery were walking distance. The wine store/car rental beside it has a money changer inside. Check-in was a pain. Partly because we were a big group and arrived separately, but also it was hard to communicate with the property manager. The second level room was tricky to get to because you need to duck and one step had a beam on it. The first floor family room has the toilet outside the unit which is not ideal during winter and when you need to go in the middle of the night.
- Pakchuda (10/5): Exceptional - All the best
- Nursuhana (7/5): Good -
- Sơn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (5/5): Passable - Electric blanket. Beds were comfortable. Good location. Kitchen facilities good. Air-conditioning not very effective. Pillows terrible.
- Saurav (8/5): Very good -
- Juliana (6/5): Overall is good place for transiting. - The owner very helpful even we check-in almost midnight. Room was clean with basic necessity and very good transiting place for a night. The guesthouse is located at the roadside and easy to allocate. The downside is the toilet located outside the room and inconvenient especially during winter time. The paper sliding room door can’t close tightly. The open hole right above the room sliding door causing cool wind blow inside and make the room very cool during winter time.
- Teerasak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rasul (9/5): Superb -
- Ridzilla (6/5): Pleasant - Location wise, it's OK. Price, ok. Pictures doesn't tally with actual conditions. It's dormitory room. Not suggest for family. Not really comfort. No proper kitchen for family to cook your foods.
- Oksana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kornkamon (8/5): Goods - This place is close to Mt.Fuji train station. Sometime hear noise from other room
- Pedro (8/5): Very good - The warm and kind host… the best!!!
Proper Japanese style room with all you may need.
Quite convenient location, really close from the train/bus station.
- Reza (6/5): Pleasant - The location is great. Close to the bus station, and if you're lucky, fuji is exactly in your face. The room is clean but needed to renew.
No tea, coffee, and bath amenities. The toilet is outside
In comparison with other accommodations in Japan, it isn't worth
- Kyy4 (10/5): Exceptional - The owner very nice to let us check in when we arrive at around 12pm. Nothing
- Alberto (9/5): Superb -
- Lawrence (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greig (8/5): True Japanese experience - It was nice to experience a traditional Japanese style room. But for me a very 2 Nights uncomfortable sleep.. but expected when sleeping on futon beds.. shower and toilet were awesome.. nice to have a seperate dining area.. very handy to information centre and fijisan st. One stop to Fuji Q st.. we are at Mos burgers each night and can highly recommend.
Room was very clean. With airconditioning..
Recommend if you are looking for a real Japaneese experience. Pillows very hard.. stairs to room quite steep and slippery in the rain.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- anthony (10/5): Fujiyama base - Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at the fujiyama base. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. It was just a couple of minutes from the train station so that was a big plus. Would consider staying there again if we were in the area.
- Michał (10/5): Exceptional - The place was great, very spacious, extremely clean, beds were comfortable To be fair, the Mt. Fuji view was partially covered by cables, but hey - don't be bothered. I'm sure you will have a great view once you leave the room and explore the neighborhood
- Sehrglanzvoll (10/5): Exceptional -
- Village10410 (10/5): Good Value - The location was very good. It was a 3-minute walk to Mt Fuji Station. The room was not big, but enough for two people. It was clean, no check-in required, and check-out was very convenient. None
- Isabella (8/5): Cute experience! - The owner was nice, the location was very close to the station and the vibe of the Japanese style room was very cute and fun! If you're staying in the Japanese Style room it is on the 2nd floor which only has stairs so be aware if your luggage is heavy. The pillows are also very small.
- yanhua (6/5): - The property is old and not that clean at Japanese standard. Meanwhile, the air conditioner made so much noise. But it’s a good experience with tatami and the property is closed to the train station and Q highland.
- James (10/5): - Great if you plan to hike Mt Fuji, bus stop is across the street
- Jeanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Orejuela (7/5): Good -
- サエミ (8/5): - 私たちの旅行の拠点にはとても重宝しました。安くて犬もOKだったので即決しました。オーナーさんも優しくて嬉しかった。
- Fedde (9/5): Very nice! - It is a nice traditional Japanese apartment very close tintje station
- こうじ (6/5): - 寝るだけなのでこれくらいの設備で十分。
食事ができる場所が少ない。
- Yanis (10/5): - À deux pas de la gare de fujiyoshida, l’hôte est très gentille.
- Teck (9/5): Superb -
- Daryl (7/5): Highly recommend. - Perfect location!! Wonderful host. Cosy little place with all that we needed. Would highly recommend. Nothing to dislike.
- Hector (10/5): Great stay close to Mt Fuji station. - The location was fantastic super close to the station. The owner was present and was extremely helpful. I will come back to the area soon and plan to book here again! Wish I could have stayed longer!
- Pornsitt (9/5): a bit old but good price to quality and location - The very kind host, location, large room size none
- Cairns (7/5): Good - The owner is absolutely delightful, and the location is very good - 2 minute's walk from the station. The room lacks amenities. The pillows are very uncomfortable, and there's a lot of traffic noise from the road.
- Ynze (9/5): Superb -
- Febby (8/5): Nice stay at fuji - The host is nice...
The location is very near to the fujisan station...
Big space for 4 person The shower room already old, need renovation and add a bath tub.
- Foo (10/5): Incredibly spacious Japanese style room near Mt Fuji station - Incredibly spacious and very near Mt Fuji station. Also the room is a traditional Japanese style Lack of food options at night
- Kylie (9/5): Stay at fujiyama base - The owner was very sweet and guided us to our room. The room was spacious, and we had a lovely view of Mount fuji in the morning. Everything was tidy and comfortable. Would stay here again. We couldn't use too many electronic items at once (eg kettle and microwave) as there was a note saying that it may short-circuit the apartment. Not really an issue for us, but something to be aware of.
- Jin (10/5): Exceptional - The room has a great view of Mt. Fuji
- Charis (9/5): Excellent spot near fuji - Great location opposite Mt Fuji station, very easy self serve check in process. The Japanese style room with private bathroom was a great experience - quaint & comfortable for 1 night!
- Hamza (7/5): Good - Great location and great value for the price
- Tendy (6/5): - It is too small for 7 people, there is only one bathroom and toilet, toilet is located outside of house
- Kadeessa (10/5): Little gem in Fujiyoshida - One of the best experiences we had living in a simple Japanese style guest house. It's very near the bus and train station. It's very clean, and the futon beds are comfortable. The size of the room was just nice for the three of us. The best part is that you get to see Fujisan just out of your window. Nothing really...
- Marie-christin (4/5): Disappointing - IT was cold and not so clean
- Ketkaew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (10/5): Overall I loved staying here! It was perfect, very comfy, easy check in and check out. - The window view was of mt Fuji and there was a humidifier and a heater. The bathroom shower kind of smelled badly
- Hernan (8/5): Excellent last minute booking on a pick season - Location. Crossing the road from Mt Fuji station and with views of Mt Fuji It could have been a bit larger.
- Dominika (9/5): Superb - It was right in front of the Bus and train Fujisan station. We had a view of Fuji from our bedroom window. The whole apartment was in Japanese style. It got colder at night but the futons were warm, there was AC and a heated mattress provided.
- Benjamin (10/5): Great place to sleep and access to the local sights. - Simple, close to the station and nice and warm. Great host. Toilet is located outside which would be very cold in winter. Not a problem in Spring
- Jocelyn (9/5): Friendly Japanese owner, spacious and comfortable room, view of Mt fuji at reasonable price. - Conveniently located near fujiyama Station. Able to view Mt fuji although there was some obstruction due to low level. Japanese owner waited up for us even though it was way past check in timing, made sure we were comfortable and settled in before she left. Level 1 & 2 was divided by a wooden panel. Could hear the other residents loud and clear.
- Jjah (10/5): Good homestay - Easy to check in and out, near every shop No
- Andrey (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (8/5): A little old, but great price and access to station - The owner was a friendly Japanese lady who was very helpful. She couldn't speak any English so we had to use Google translate but she was attentive and friendly.
The heater was good despite it being very cold and the room kept warm well.
The water pressure in the shower was excellent and the water was very hot. Though, we couldn't figure out how to make it cooler..
There were umbrellas to use and the check in/check out process was simple with lock box for the key.
The location was a 2 minute walk from Mt Fuji station.
Overall, I thought it was really good for the price despite some little discomforts but considering the area and the prices of the other hotels, I can live with some minor discomfort. We stayed in the family room with 3 double decker beds but there were only 3 of us.
We found the space to be quite small with 2 medium sized luggages. We could lay them flat but had to keep them closed. Not sure how people with more than 2 would do. We found that 3 people in the room was doable but any more and it'd be cramped.
Also, overall the place was a little worn down eg. Sofa had stains on it, the bar stools' leather were worn out.
The beds were also quite hard as they were futon beds, but the pillows were those bean ones that were quite comfortable.
Lastly, beware of this, but the toilet is actually outside. As in you have the kitchen area, the bed area, the shower, then right at the end is a door that leads to the back of the building and then a few steps to the left is the toilet. So if you're not a fan of having to walk out in the cold from the comfort of your room, you've been warned. However, I was travelling with my mum who complained about it at first but she got used to it. And it really helps that the bidet seat is VERY warm.
- Arline (10/5): I left my phone downstairs at their reception and got it back! The room is big and very cozy! - Very near the station!
- Taylor (10/5): Stay here - It was surprisingly larger than I anticipated and the traditional beds were comfier than I thought they would be!! I was super happy they were even heated! The place was definitely prepped for winter, which was great because it was much colder than I planned for the start of spring. The cute lady that runs this little place was super friendly and the location was perfect!! Literally right next to the station (which has a little observation deck on the top floor with a great view of Mt.Fuji) and plenty of restaurants and cafes right within walking distance. And the price was something you just can’t beat. The only downsides were that the room we stayed in had steep steps up the second floor and it was difficult to shimmy our luggage up them. Then in our room there was a connecting staircase to the first floor that was blocked off, but you could sometimes hear others from downstairs. This was probably the only room with that and if you closed the door to the main sleeping and living room area you forget that is even there.
- みちと (10/5): - 非常に良い
- Ash (10/5): Best value for money stay for a family of 5-6 - A few minutes walk to Mt Fuji Sta, staff was friendly.
- Grace (8/5): Property is clean. - The beds have electric blankets to keep warm. The toilet is outside the apartment.
- Annie (9/5): Nice short stay in Fujiyama - The location is great! Close to the train station.
Easy access and check-in. Possibility to leave the luggage before check-in.
Typical basic ryokan. No real kitchen in our unit so complicated to clean the dishes. Not enough cutlery, plates and cups for 5 persons and we booked for 5.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kiung (7/5): Good -
- Hendra (9/5): The host lady is very nice and very helpful. Arigatōgozaimasu.. - The location is very close to the bus and train station. The toilet for the first floor is outside the house. It would be better if the toilet was inside the house.
- Herny (8/5): Clean and Affordable Accommodation at Mt Fuji - The accommodation is very close to Mt Fuji Station. We rented Japanese room to experience Japanese vibe. It was great. We can see Mt Fuji from the window of our room.
The heating system and water pressure was strong. We loved the electric heated futons. The room was very clean.
The toilet was very modern with heated toilet seat and bidet.
The bathroom floor was lined with rubber mat so it's not cold nor slippery. The pillows are very small. I think they are traditional Japanese pillows as they are filled with beans.
Needed to climb stairs to go to our room.
The bathroom's windows are facing the hallway, which give you less privacy as you can see people walking in the hallway through the tampered glass of the windows.
