- April Jim (9/5): Good. Just being there is relaxing. - We love Lambuth. Have stayed there many times over the years. LJA is where our story began as a couple. We were Summer Staff 1983/1984. The room this time was one of the smaller ones. We did not have a table lamp nor fridge. A fridge would have been nice. My husband had medication that has to be refrigerated. We were there one night and we did our best keeping his medication cool in our cooler.

Since there was a group retreat also there, checkout took some time. Plus, my drone, a DJI Mini 3 Pro was stolen from the walking path near the water.
- Jeff (7/5): Fun old world charm at a small cost to comfort - I loved the old world feel of the inn and the location was beautiful. Lots of safe fun outdoors activities for my family. Very inexpensive walking fun. Our budget room was near a noisy roof HVAC compressor and our AC in the room didnt keep us cool like we wanted so we had to open a window which made the room loud. Also the room is very small for the price. A similar room in gatlinburg was much bigger!

- elyn sue (4/5): - Beautiful location, rockers on porch, historic landmark, lake, nice walking area and recreation activities. There were a number of room choices online. My choice turned out to be disappointing. Located right above large, noisy fans(?) that ran continuously, small room, had to go down several time to front desk since phone did not work to report the tv would not come on… first time got new batteries & had to return when that did not work, soap dispenser was out or just not working. The front desk person & the person that came up to address the tv & electrical issues were very pleasant & attended to issues at hand. When I asked about the room, I was told that was the room that I booked. I did not see anyone else on our end of the building, but was told a large group had checked out. I initially had issues checking in, but luckily I had my Booking.com booking number after they were not able to find my name after several attempts… it seemed my middle name was used as my last name so was not showing up until I produced my confirmation number.

Dated furniture, windows did not lock, shower shampoo was discolored with black flakes in it, no fridge, no safe, tub was not a non-slip tub, outlet with many connections at the head of the bed.

We loved the location and the views and the fact it was quiet and safe. It was historic and the furniture was old but quaint. The customer service was just OK. It was not updated and could have been cleaner. The carpet and furniture were old, and the air conditioning vent needed to be cleaned. The system that booked customers and the lady at the front desk were confused, though our booking was OK, thankfully, but she was by herself dealing with phones, that, and trying to check people in and out. They need more staff. The cleaner had not cleaned all the rooms. The discussions about these matters in front of customers was unprofessional.

- Jones (3/5): Don't bother unless you like dirty rooms, hairs in your sheets and standing around for hours waiting - The location is the only thing going for it, we will not be staying here again. There were long hairs all over the inside of my "clean" sheets when we first got into room. We arrived at 830 am and asked for early check in and we're promptly told no check ins till 4 pm, we called a couple of times while waiting hours to check in and never once were offered any accommodations or room transfer to an open clean room. We waited until 4 pm and they said your room will be ready soon, luckily it was ready at 430pm! There were other customers yelling at staff about same thing upon arrival, and mind you it was not a busy day by the looks of it.

The staff was very nice and friendly. I didn’t like that you had to drive to the pool and to the restaurant. The property could use some TLC

However, we have come to expect such issues in older hotels.

If we wanted to charge our cell phones, we had to unplug a lamp. View outside our window was of the roof top a/c unit. Complimentary coffee was supposed to be offered in the lobby in the mornings but only one small pot was provided and not refilled. Pool was completely overflowing with people; no place to sit, standing room only.

- 184chaning (4/5): Disappointing - I think the Lambuth Inn is working toward renovation of all of their rooms and may be improving for most visitors, but over July 4th weekend, our stay was a little disappointing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is historic, and the lobby area is beautiful in an old-fashioned, elegant way. The location is beautiful, in the middle of the Methodist Church Assembly area where there is a beautiful lake, swimming pool, tennis courts, walking path, etc. I don't think there is any dining in the hotel itself, but if not, there are nearby places to go for food. For our stay, we were assigned an old, unrenovated room. The main reason we were stuck with this room was that it was the only type available for 3 nights by the time we booked our weekend. When I called prior to the visit, the staff said she was choosing a particular room to assign us so it would still have both a fridge and microwave. That was a nice effort, but it had neither. On arrival, our adult children opened the door to a nasty smell described as broccoli and other unmentionables. It turned out the air-conditioning unit had been leaking on the carpet for some time. They asked for another room but were told the place was full that night. So we asked the next day and were told that they were also full but that they could reduce our rate $50 for that night. We didn't really have a choice but to keep it. The hotel did not agree to discount either of the other two nights, and we didn't ask again to move on the third night. A much larger discount might have been a reasonable compensation for an unacceptable room at the holiday prices we paid. Hopefully this room will be new by the next time we visit the area.

Booking was for a center Economy room that ended up with a view of air conditioner units; single bathroom light was on a 15 minute timer that had to constantly be reset. Very basic but affordable. Now that I understand the property layout, would try to be more specific on room location/choice.

Kind of reminded me of summer camp dorm rooms. They have an amazing view from the outside balcony area. They have rocking chairs to chill and enjoy. The staff was friendly. It was basic but worth the price. To find a clean room. good,safe location with those views for under a hundred, it was worth it.

- Tonya (5/5): this was a stressful unsettling disappointing weekend that was supposed to be the opposite. - the scenery was beautiful the outdated outlets that didn’t work had shorts in the outlet didn’t provide comfort or charging your phone or using bedside lamp. the window in the room stayed cracked open at the bottom no maintenance to fix it on the weekend they put a towel in the window little flying bugs everywhere inside the room because of the window not shutting and the screen so outdated it’s tore. our room wasn’t available when we got to the hotel was t ready till about 1 hr and half after check in made it inconvenient i have a special needs son and drove a long way . the front desk also told us no more events were going on but there were more things going on free even that night of check in and was told everything here was done the night before . i complained to the manager once i was told by the bus drivers that every guest can attend the saturday concert free she told me to go to the even them told me i could not then told me i could have a free extra night that’s what i asked to make it right but then said it’s not free another false hope and mistrust i had to pay for all the lies that i was told and for my unhappy vacation and alll i kept getting was excuses why they can’t make it right because it’s a outside event cost or something they just didn’t want to have to pay anything to make me happy make sure they get something out of it .
- Lori (8/5): - The view, and the grounds are amazing. But you have to drive to the pool it is on the other side of the lake. They should inform you this as it is misleading to say they have a pool. The bed is a little hard But ample pillows and towels were a plus. The landscaping is very well done. There was no dining option. Front Desk person was uninformed and sent me to a restaurant that was closed on the 4th of July. I asked a staff a question and they spoke no English. But overall, this is a nice place.
