Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I love the view. The room just looked old and outdated. The bed squeeked so bad that i thought it was going to collaps. No water pressure.
- James (4/5): Sleeping Beauty - Our stay at the Islanders wasn't great at all! From what the condo looks like online it's very nice we were in rm 404 the look of the room it self is nice, but the bed was Horrendous you would be better sleeping on the floor. I might have gotten all of 10 hrs. Sleep that week. I don't understand why the owners wouldn't have a comfortable bed in the room also be prepared to wake up at the crack of dawn! There is no black out drapes! Spend a few bucks your customers would be much happier and maybe even stay there again! We will not be back!
- Brian (10/5): - the Studio condo had an amazing view of the ocean and was a decent size and had a full fridge, two burner stove, microwave, toaster and dishwasher along with everything you’d need to eat in the condo. The pull out bed was more of a leather futon but we only used it as a sofa. I recommend bringing baby powder to get the sand off before returning from the beach as the shower had a hard time with all the sand. The layout and check it were a little different. We downloaded an app to get our door code and there are two sections of the property with two elevators and no signs on switch side has which rooms. If you stay in the hundred section (200,400 etc) then the elevator to use is closer to the office.Overall we were happy with the space and view for the price and would stay again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Check in is between 4 -6pm. We arrived at 5/5:30 &there was no one in the office to give us the parking pass so we wouldn't get towed. The bulding is old and disgusting, the elevator itself is a hazard with how old and how much its falling apart already. At $205/night I expect much better maintenance. The hallways are so narrow & outdated with yellow lights, the can be used in a horror movie. The condo itself had rust, mold and mildew. The floors had sand, dirt and hair. Almost everything was rusting out. I was appalled by the condition it was in compared to the pictures we saw online. The bed was so squeaky and didnt even have a bedskirt. The beach was not as clean or blue as its shown in the picture. Panhandle Getaways refused to refund us upon arrival & since the building was not going to get updated and the many issues we saw were unable to be taken care of due to lack of housekeeping &maintenance on the property, we left immediately and booked at a 4star resort a few miles down for almost the same price but it was much cleaner, more amenities, and the beach was MUCH cleaner. We were never refunded our $820 although we didn't even stay or touch anything in that condo.
