Dylan (3/5): Regular - Está ubicado en una de las mejores zonas de Medellín. La comida es deliciosa. El trato recibido no fue tan amable y atento como esperaba. Durante el check-in no me entregaron la banda de huésped, lo cual generó una situación incómoda más tarde, cuando al regresar por la noche el personal no me reconoció como huésped y se produjo un trato incómodo. Además, noté inconsistencias en la experiencia, una amiga que se hospedó el mismo número de noches y en el mismo tipo de habitación recibió una amenidad de bienvenida al llegar, mientras que yo no. Al consultarlo, me indicaron que no había disponibilidad y que, por haber llegado tarde, no me correspondía, a pesar de que mi estancia fue de 3 noches (habiendo pagado 4 por un cambio de fechas). Por otro lado, se aplicó un cargo adicional de $10 por las toallas, lo cual considero que debería estar incluido en la tarifa total de la habitación para mayor transparencia. En general, creo que hay oportunidades importantes de mejora en la consistencia del servicio y en la atención al detalle para ofrecer una experiencia más acorde con las expectativas.

Gautam (10/5): Thank you again Qipitos and Sophia! You really went out of your way to make me feel welcome! - So I ended up extending my stay l because I liked it so much. This time I got a private room with a balcony and it was so nice. Completely worth the money. The view is incredible! It’s especially great if you have actual work to get done and you want to stay a little bit longer, but don’t wanna be stuck in a boring hotel. The area in general is expensive

The pool was really nice, and the area is safe and has a lot of different restaurants The Ac didn’t work one night but they fixed it the next!

Earl and Sherise (6/5): Not likely to stay here again due to the tiny room size but otherwise everything else is good. - Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Hostel is clean and well-maintained. Awesome common kitchen. Very, very small room, size is only enough for a double bed and night shelf on both sides. No room for any furniture - chair or small table. Only 1 small storage shelf and couple of drawers in the bathroom.

They were all such lovely, kind people. Mediona especially, just made you feel so taken care of! Couldn't ask for better people! That I'm not there now.

Bo (10/5): I really enjoyed my stay here and think this is the best hostel in Medellin. - The hostel is really social and organise a wide variety of (free) activities. The only down side was that my bed in the dorm was next to a window and there was no curtain. So in the morning you get waken up by the light and the warmth of the sun.

Stacey (10/5): - Im a solo traveller, i used this hostal as a home base and paid luggage storage at times when i left and came back. Spent time in dorms and a private room. Cleaned everyday, good bathrooms although takes a while to get the right shower temp as often too hot. The hostal staff were all friendly and helpful shout out to issac and sophia. The onsite laundrey was a bit expensive compared to other places but quick and the clothes smelt sooo good. The activities they offer each day and night were all amazing. The location is close to places to great places eat and brunch, the supermarket and easy to get to other bars ect. I had the best time in medellin mostly because of this hostal and would definately return. Nothing
Nick (10/5): - Super gezellig hostel in een goede buurt, heel nieuw nog en er worden heel veel leuke activiteiten georganiseerd. Vooral de kookworkshop met Cristian was heel leuk! We hadden eerst een kamer zonder airco geboekt en wilden graag omboeken en dat was geen probleem. Hoefden uiteindelijk niet eens bij te betalen.

Iarla (2/5): Disappointing - Tried to charge us on check-out for a smidge of red facepaint (from a hostel-organised activity) getting on a hand towel in our room. In front of other guests who were checking in, the girl at the front desk exclaimed that they'd found blood on a towel in our room and we'd have to pay. My partner was extremely embarrassed by this false accusation. We were shocked to be called out in front of other guests (over a hand towel no less), and when we expressed this - staff member refused to apologise and said they we should expect to hear from them over WhatsApp about the charge. Incredibly unprofessional and shocking attitude from a place that wants to rinse you for every penny. It's expensive compared to the quality and other options in the area, not to mention the generally unwelcoming and cold vibe from the staff. We're returning to Medellin with 8 friends later in the month, and were considering booking Patios because we'd heard good things. Safe to say we'll be staying elsewhere. Avoid unless you want to be called out and falsely accused in front of other guests.
