Too expensive for the quality. - - This hotel is in a great location and close to the town centre and markets etc. - The reception staff were pleasant. - The paid breakfast was reasonably good. - The hotel had a large carpark. - The ground floor rooms had a small garden area. - The large car park got so full that sometimes it was hard to find a space. - The bed mattresses were hard and you only got one pillow each and one very long pillow to share. This was weird. - The rooms were small. - If you stay on the ground floor you hear everything in the reception area. The machine they use to clock in every morning repeats an automated voice message which woke us up at 06:30am each morning. - People talking loudly in reception each morning at 06:30am which woke us up. We thought this was staff but unconfirmed. - A rooster in a neighbouring garden to our hotel woke us up each morning. - The toilet door is not that well insulated and the room was small so you can hear what people are doing in the toilet. - When it rained heavily and got chilly on our last day our bedroom door seemed to be affected as it looked like it had damp issues. As a result, our door opened by itself twice during the night which is unacceptable. A complaint led the staff to say they will investigate this.

Had a teakettle, but no place to plug it in but on the nightstand where one of the plugs was. Clean, but they didn’t even have one of those little pieces of hand soap available, I did ask. The usual, “no have” was the reply. Breakfast was coffee in the lobby and some bananas, yep that was it.

- Aubrey (4/5): - When we arrived, the receptionist didn’t seem to have our booking on the system. The room we were given smelled damp and we requested the other and the smell got worse like mould kind of smell. My partner requested another one which was on the second floor and it seems to be okay but the wooden table which took a big surface area didn’t seem to have cleaned and we can see marks all over the place. No cups for coffee facilities, only one tiny toilet roll and no one came to clean room nor emptied bin for our entire 3 nights stay. Receptionist can hardly speak English and we had to help ourselves with clean towels one day and on our third day, at around 9AM, no water supply and when asked, a housekeeping girl spoke Thai and pointed upstairs and I can only assume they were cleaning water tank. I had to use my face wipe to clean my face as no water at all and if I stayed away for the afternoon and still no water, I will have to find alternate accommodation. Tiny ants crawled around the room, I had an ant on my neck as I felt the pain. The area wasn’t great, even we wanted to walk, there wasn’t a proper pedestrian walk so it was a bit dangerous. Breakfast time wasn’t good either, one of the girls who was behind the food counter was brushing her hair then put the hair up like a ponytail. It was utterly unacceptable. No one tempted to come to serve us at all and we had to go to the reception to ask. I would not call this as a hotel as it lacks of basic services, not recommended

The coffee/tea machine at breakfast had a lot of options, which was nice. Breakfast was only available for a short time every day and often ran out of food. The only food included were some little biscuits, which wasn't very filling.

Downsides - no breakfast but there is a cafe, but don’t bother. Pricey and not good, better off going into town. That’s the other ding, it’s further than I thought from the city center - 25 min walk.

It was the most comfortable bed i have feel a sleep on. The shower and living space was just right. A real gem and i would recommend anybody to stay here.
- Filippa (6/5): Ok välistoppi hotelli - Yövyttiin poikaystävän kanssa rhienchai placessa yksi yö välistoppina kun oltiin jatkamassa seuraavaan kaupunkiin. Ensimmäisessä huoneessa oli likaiset lakanat, kun kerrottiin henkilökunnalle he olivat hyvin pahoillaan ja saatiin vaihtaa huonetta. Seuraavassa huoneessa oli lutikoita joten piti taas vaihtaa huonetta. Kun viimein päästiin viimeiseen huoneeseen se oli hyvässä kunnossa hintaa nähden. Koko henkilökunta oli aivan ihania, todella auttavaisia ja ymmärtäiväisiä. Englannin kieli oli hieman vaikeaa heidän puolelta mutta googletranslaten kauttaa selvitettiin asiat. Kaikesta huolimatta hotellista jäi ihan ok fiilis.

Sengen til den tredje person var dog en tynd madras med hul ved hovedet/massage madras til gulvet, som vi selv skulle rede og ordne da vi bare blev stukket noget sengelinned. Værelset var fin og sengen god. Dog var det ikke helt rent. Håndklæderne var beskidte og toilettet var beskidt og fyldt med kravlende myrer, så vi gik ned fra 4. Sal til receptionen for at bruge toilettet. Vi fik også en portion pommes fritter i cafeen, det var dog nogle meget skuffende pommes fritter. Hotellet var dog meget billigt, hvilket måske modsvarer standarden. Personalet var søde og behjælpelige med at hjælpe med transport og færgebilletter.

- jakubarthy (8/5): Nice hotel and nice rooms. - I visited this hotel during my holidays in Thailand last year. We booked room because we needed to stay over night in Surat Thani. I found nice room for very good price in this place, so it was easy decision. Reality was exactly like expectation. Room was like on the photos. Big, nice, with good bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price. I recommend this hotel for short stay.

- cymraes04 (10/5): Great overnight stay - Great overnight stay at this lovey hotel! We booked in to a standard room which was lovely - very spacious! Two single beds, a wardrobe, tv, table and chairs, large surface to put luggage on and a fairly sized bathroom. Wifi was good. Reception has very little english but wasn't a big issue. Restaurant was closed at 8pm when it states 9pm but wasn't an issue for us. You can catch a tuk tuk to the central plaza for 150bhat. Not much to do around the area but great for overnight stay if you're going to the islands.

Girl at the reception could barely speak English and needed to call her collegae. We booked a Suite, room was spacious but smelly, rainshower was not functioning, cockroach in the bathroom, ants inside the room, very noisy ac. Aminities were not complete. Restaurant was closed, couldn't communicate with the reception. Breakfast was dissapointing. No choices, needed to ask for tea etc. One plus; The girl who was assisting us upon check out was lovely!

- JimmyLovesJazz (8/5): Good budget hotel - Stayed one night at Rhienchai Place for stopping over to Koh Samui. It's not bad at all. My room is big with large balcony. Facilities i.e. bed, kettle, mini bar, free wifi, cable TV, air-con and hot water are not bad at all comparing to its room tariff paid. A few things to improve are flood in the bathroom, poor key (hard to make the room electricity to come up) and lift. It is difficult for people with large luggage to self-carry it to the 4th floor.
- SJ3852 (6/5): Just ok for a stopover - Arrived here and the hotel looked really nice! The rooms are really big and spacious, bed and toilet both clean but a deep clean definitely needed. There's dirt up the walls and in the sink, they didn't clean our room the next day, no fresh towels and they didn't empty our bin either which caused a lot of ants everywhere. If your on the ground floor there's a lot of mosquitos too. Breakfast was included and we tried it on our first morning..safe to say we went to family mart from then on. The coffee was freezing and the breakfast was really really poor. The staff are friendly but would only stay here for a stop over, no longer than that.
- 180kristianr (8/5): Nice hotel - We had a superior room which was big, clean and with a nice big bathroom. The had a little private cord yard (about 70 square feet). Breakfast was simple and hat to be supplemented by something else to fill a grown man. It was a little bit more than walking distance from the town center but only 20 baht per person with tuktuk. Staff a the front desk was helpful at all times but had varying levels of English abilities. All in all a very good place to stay a night or two.
- Victoria_tara (6/5): Quite far off - Came to Rhiencai Place as were heading back to Kuala Lumpur the next day. it is quite far off from the city and the staff were not able to converse in english making it difficult to communicate. we took the deluxe room, very spacious however the bathrooms had a very weird smell. Our room came with breakfast, which was very basic but for the price that we paid we could not complain.
- 817ruthw (6/5): Good for an overnight stop - We stayed here overnight on the way from Koh Samui to Bangkok. We chose it because it's just half an hour from the airport. We had booked 2 deluxe rooms but initially the second room offered was basic and smelled of smoke. We complained and had to wait another hour for the second deluxe room to become available. The staff don't speak English and weren't enthusiastic about changing things for us. Having said all this however, the rooms we had were very comfortable and clean especially considering the very cheap price. We took a taxi to the night market which was a great experience. Early departure meant we can't comment on the food.
- Rabe04 (2/5): Would not stay again! - Would not stay again, and would avoid this area all together. Paid 300 baht for a deposit on the room and when we came to leave they refused to return our deposit as there were some marks on the bed sheet. Admitendly there was a small mark from my ear drops, but would wash out but the other marks were there when we arrived. They were very rude when we left and rolled their eyes at us, could speaker little English. No safety deposit box or lift. Not a great area to stay as there is nothing around, walked an hour to try and find a tuc tuc, but eventually found one.
- mattblack111 (10/5): STAY HERE IF IN AREA - We booked two rooms at this hotel, we had the deluxe and our friends the superior duplex..(we both wanted the superior but there was not enough left). Both rooms for the price to be fair, was spectacular! I think the hotel should be rated higher than 3 stars! I have stopped in "5*" places that where definitely of much lower quality! Our friends room with the gardened balcony, whirlpool bath and spacious contemporary design was particularly impressive. We didnt make breakfast but im sure it would have been great judging on the rest of the hotel. The staff on reception, didnt really speak any english, however, they pulled a freind in from somewhere to help, who arranged for laundry for us and even VERY kindly took us out for food, then picked us up included with the price! After coming in from the jungle at koh sok, the luxury we found here was most welcome... Would I go back if in area...? YES!
- BangkokHotelReviews (10/5): Great value for money - This is a very clean, neat, and modern hotel for this price. We paid 650 Baht (all included) for our room. We didn't have a view but that's not a problem considering what we got for our money. They have a restaurant too. We didn't try the food though. The staff were very helpful in arranging transport to Ko Samui for us. Extra pillows are 20 extra each by the way.
