Guest Reviews
- Nadine (6/5): - Location wise it was quite central to everything and beds were comfortable and coffee nice. The triple room we had was within very close proximity to the adjoining reception/building managers residence. Felt quite uncomfortable to be so close impacting privacy. I think one of the other rooms would be a completely different experience! Hot water heater small, enough for 1 shower at a time so something to be mindful of when travelling with 3+ people.
- Patricio Eduardo (10/5): Appartamento pulito, zona centro storico, molto tranquilla - Tranquillità e ben organizzata Niente
- Giovanna (9/5): - Struttura molto accogliente Nulla
- Emanuela (10/5): Soggiorno e accoglienza ECCELLENTI !!!! Tutto è curato in ogni minimo dettaglio.
I Tutto perfetto!

Room was spacious and good equipped with all you need, (small refrigerator with water, juices, and milk) Room service was provided daily. Very nice apartment we recommend it.
- ANGEL (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at this B&B.
Perfect location
- John (10/5): Best B&B in Salerno - Fantastic bed and breakfast situated near the Duomo
Spacious room with breakfast provided.
Federico was the very best of hosts: friendly, welcoming and full of advice.
The B&B was located near to everything of interest, as well as some fantastic bars and restaurants on its doorstep.
We seriously could not fault anything, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Salerno.
- Zara (7/5): Good -
- Hannah (10/5): - Amazing host and beautiful place to stay. Cosy but spacious and it was perfect for our 1 night stay in Salerno. Thank you so much ! :)
- Michael (8/5): - A good location which is close to the restaurants and bars. A great base for a few days
- Zore (8/5): A good location for Salerno if your staying in Salerno - The room was lovely, in a really old restored house, the house keeper was wonderful.
Limited breakfast, but it’s very very hard to get a taxi in this party of the old town, lots of walking up the hill. Don’t do it with kids or lots of luggage.
But very clean and great coffee machine and get AC The hill location and you the lack of laundry facilities and taxi service. No cabs come there. You need to ask the house keeper to call you a cab
- Jan (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay here. Freddy was an excellent, helpfull onsite host. Note: I did give a 4 star as the contact host wasnt acomodating helping with language issues in securing a taxi to the train station. We received excellent kindness with this everywhere else in Europe that we stayed. I would still recommend this spot for sure :)
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Comfortable bed and pretty room Not very good noice-cancelling between apartments.
Staff / cleaning staff had a room/office other side of the wall, and they were very loud in the morning :( so it did not feel vert private.
- Rebecca (10/5): The best accommodation in Salerno !! - The property was absolutely beautiful!! We felt so at home. My group of 4 booked 2 rooms and they were so spacious, we could have settled for one! The cleaning staff did an amazing job as well! The host Freddy, was so kind, hospitable, and helpful to us during our stay! We will definitely be back !
- Giuseppe (9/5): Pleasant stay and nice staff - The location was great, the room was large and well equipped. The staff was really kind as they met my request for a late check-in. They also discounted me the local tax
- Irina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasmine (7/5): Good - Great location as a base for visiting the Amalfi coast. Staff were great. Short walk to main area of Salerno & the port.
- Moisés (8/5): - The room was really comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff always willing to colaborate.
To get to it you have to walk uphill for some minutes.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caitlin (10/5): A lovely stay in Salerno. Comfortable room and great location. -
- Dragan (9/5): Superb -
- Amy (7/5): friendly, cosy room. - very nice rooms and good location. breakfast was really basic (packaged muffins, milk, cereal etc). could have a toaster or microwave and this would allow more options for self catering even.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - qwerky and well done up room N/A
- Fer (8/5): - Prima plek om te verblijven. Modern en zeer schoon. Parkeerplek was even zoeken.
- giseleaN3223GI (10/5): Great accommodation - Excellent room, very tidy, clean. Located close to many restaurants. You will find a book gull of information that will help youbon your stay. The breakfast was very complete, cofee machine, milk, cookies, juice.Federico was very friendly and helpful. For sure we will come back! Gisele
- Majalippai (10/5): Nice stay in Salerno - Helpful staff, he showed us everything in the room and also got some tips what to see/visit. It was a nice place to stay, quiet. Able to smoke on the "terrace" close to the room. Breakfast was generous. In 10-15 mins you can reach restaurants, bars and public transport. There is a railway station (duomo - via vernieri) in 10 min walk and from there you can reach Pompei and Napoli easily. Reaching the apartman count on walking upwards on cat stone (you might want to carry your luggage in your hand to spare the wheels), also we first approached the apartman from a very narrow and sketchy alley, nothing happened to us I just don't recommend that way up, use the cat stone road to reach the apartman.
- Sunshine67754669065 (10/5): Excellent B&B in an excellent location - This elegant B&B is in a fabulous location with so much on offer. 2 ports and a train station all in walking distance with loads of shops, bars and restaurants on your door step. The host goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect.
If you are driving then I advise you park in the local garage (4 nights - €80) but this covers local town taxes and offers security.
Castles, Temples and the great Amalfi Coast is a must.
Enjoy.
- Josnef (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vibor (10/5): Very clean, warm and cosy - It was perfect! clean, near center, great host.
The apartment is very stylish, very warm and cosy.
If we ever come to Salerno again, this is our place to be! Nothing
- Mario (8/5): Big room with private bath - Big beautiful room with a private bath. Coffee machine, muffins, and juice.
Good location to visit old part of town The shower was too small for a 6ft 220 lbs man.
If you wish to visit the old part of town, then good location, if you wish to remain in the modern section close to the train station then it is too far away, about 1 mile (1,6 km)..
Room A/C does not provide heat, just cold air, a problem just in cold days.
- laura (8/5): Consigliato - Nn confortevole , camera pulita e letto molto comodo . Consigliato
- Graham (9/5): Fantastic stay, in great location. - Excellent communication from owner. Very good directions with photos, met at property and given clear instructions on how everything worked, where local shops, bars and restaurants were. Lovely room. Nothing
- Yeliz (9/5): Superb - Really cute B&B. It is in an historical building. The bed is so comfy. The host is really friendly.
- CHRISTOPHER (8/5): - My wife and I came to Italy to celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary and stayed in Salerno for five nights while we toured around the Amalfi Coast during the day. We loved staying in the historic district, where this B&B is located, and found it walkable to nearby restaurants and shops. Check-in went well and we were provided with a binder full of helpful tips and recommendations to have during our stay which was great! They replenished our breakfast bar daily (cereal, sweet pre-packaged pastries, milk and juice) and sheets were changed every three days. The size of the room was great. The main issue we had was the staff forgot to replenish our towels the last day we were there, and when we notified management they were unable to get towels to us in time before we had to leave the next morning. We also had to request more soap for our bathroom as we were only provided one small bar to use between the two of us the entire time and it was also not automatically replenished. The bed was just ok and did squeak when you would turn over. Also, as a heads up, there are multiple keys to enter into the B&B. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Salerno, especially the historic district.
- Josh (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff with great advice
Very nice location
- Radojko (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Pictures do not do this room justice! - The pictures of this B&B do not do it justice. It is a beautiful, comfortable, and clean room! We were exhausted. And could not have found a better spot after our long day. Our only complaint was the taxi could not get up the narrow street; so, we had to carry our heavy bags about100 meters.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Property is an historical building but very well maintained. Location is great as its located in the center of the old town, close by all resraurants and attractions. Francisco is very hospitable, gave us many tips on where to go and where to eat. We highly recommend this property.
- colemanc574 (10/5): Elegance and homely warmth - Fabulous stay at this wonderful, historic b&b, host went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Wonderful space style and super friendly host making it truly memorable. Perfect location for seeing Salerno on foot. Hope to return soon.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not so good, do not reserve if you have luggage - 1- make sure you reserve with them a shuttle from the train station or airport if you have luggage as it is so hard to reach there only by foot with your luggage as it happened to us
2- the area is NOT near to the beach or the city center you have to walk at least 20 minutes
3- the picture in the add is NOT like the real room you will receive
4- was not so happy with the stay
- Diana (8/5): The past is present. - Very helpful staff. Charming room and decor with good coffee and simple but adequate breakfast. Local area is medieval character so there are manageable steps. Loved the up close history.
- 62evanp (10/5): Great Experience - Il Vicolo Storico was our residence for a week while in Salerno area. The entire staff was very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. The location is off the main drag a bit, so it is fairly private; but it is just a couple minutes from the beach, excellent shopping, and the absolutely stunning duomo of St. Matthew. The room was very clean, the breakfast has many options, and we were taken care of beyond our expectations. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to explore Campania and the Salerno gulf. Francesco, Federico, and Maria (staff) are wonderful. Also highly recommend the pizzeria very nearby called Criscemunno.
- M5620UGamym (10/5): Lovely! - I love this B&B! It is situated in a quiet part of Solerno, but restaurants a bars are situated close by - 2 minute walk away.
The host is so welcoming! He messaged us in advance of our stay, with directions and photos of the streets so that we didn’t get lost. On arrival he gave us a gift of homemade lemonchello which we really appreciated! Inside the room he has created a whole book full of things to do in Solerno, restaurants to go to and local transport timetables which we found to be incredabily helpful!
The room itself was beautiful and clean! The decoration was lovely. Plenty of food was provided in the rooms and a coffee machine!
Overall, I would highly recommend this B&B!
- Jennifer (4/5): - First, the positives: The host was really nice so nothing against him. He actually let us check in early & met us there early which we really appreciated. The room was clean, cute.
Now... things I want to warn others about because I think it is important to an enjoyable vacation: this place is NOT an easy walk from the train station, especially if you have luggage. It took us 30 min to get there due to how far away it was & all the uphill cobblestone alleys. We were drenched in sweat because it was very hot that day in July & lots of uphill. It is also not convenient to the main water port, which is also back near the train station. After we realized there was only enough hot water for one person in the shower and the cereal in the canister was stale, we decided to cut our losses & find another B&B to stay at for the night so paid & moved to another one for the night closer to the water port. This way we would not be all sweaty by the time we got to our water taxi in the morning.
This may be a great B&B for someone wanting to only stay & explore Salerno but I wanted to make sure others did not make the mistake we made and were aware of the difficult location from the train station and main water port. This ended up costing us two rooms for one night & extra time because we had to move. Of course, there is also the hot water issue so you better take really fast showers too if you both want hot water.
For the host: please check your cereal more often for freshness.
- Gonzalo (10/5): Excellent! - Excellent place to stay at Salerno. Nice staff, good location. Thank you Francesco
- Sarah (10/5): Great evening - Really amazing location, close to such great food options and the beach. Beautiful room and very friendly and accommodating hosts. Was our favourite place of all the Amalfi Coast!
- Liamsgrand (10/5): Nice village B&B, if don't mind walking. - My experience at this B&B was pleasant. My only problem was that it was difficult to get a taxi to bring us in front of the property due to the narrow street. Our first day arriving with luggage, the taxi dropped us off at the bottom of the street and we had to hike up a few meters to get to the B&B. Additionally, I had a problem with the owner/manager informing us that we could not sleep in the twin bunk beds as they were reserved for children only. Traveling with my sister, we ended up sleeping together which was not a problem, but think this policy should be spelled out on their rental site. As when I booked it, I assumed the entire place was for my use.
- HelloBalou (10/5): Lovely place - I can only recommend this place! It is in a quiet area of the city but still everything is close by (on foot - I did not have a car when I visited in May). Francesco, the host, was very welcoming and even brought me a little bottle of Limoncelleo when I mentioned that I loved it! The room (no 1) is very spacious and has everything to make your own breakfast, even a fantatstic espresso machine. The fridge is daily filled with, juice etc. and there is a coupon for a cornetto (croissant) at the nearby bakery. I can only recommend this place.
- F2079WKelenab (10/5): Highly recommend, would return agsim - Spacious, immaculately presented room with everything you can wish for, including an espresso machine. The complementary limoncello was a lovely touch. Francesco and his family were extremely polite and helpful. Would highly recommend if you're passing through Salerno - excellent value
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great B&B in historical area of Salerno - Francesco did everything he could to make sure our stay was enjoyable! The room is located in a quiet neighborhood, but within walking distance of lots of great restaurants and shopping, as well as some historical sites such as the Duomo. It was impeccably clean and despite the heat, still relatively comfortable inside (a/c isn't common in the region, so we appreciated the unit in the room). Plenty of hot water when we needed it, but could also get it freezing cold when we wanted to cool off. Would love to stay here again!
- EILEEN (10/5): Visit to salerno - Francesco the host is wonderful. He went above and beyond to make sure my travel partner could get into the B&B while I was being in the hospital. The small gifts of ceramic cups and lemoncello are greatly appreciated. A follow up message to inquire about my injury is touching too. The room itself is just as shown on the website .all in all a great place to stay.
