• Ana Rute (9/5): Recomenda-se - Os funcionários eram fantásticos e muito prestáveis. O pequeno almoço era soberbo e servido no terraço. Cama confortável e sempre gel de banho e champô. Limpavam e arrumavam o quarto todos os dias. Decoração bonita Pouco isolamento do barulho dentro do Riad, mas não se ouvia muito da parte de fora. A localização era algo estranha mas central.

• Lucia (7/5): Recomiendo un Riad mas cerca de la plaza para sentirte tranquilo en todo momento . - El Riad por lo general estaba muy limpio , el personal muy amable pero no nos cruzamos con ellos cuando necesitamos pedir algo, era difícil localizarles. El barrio te hacía sentir inseguro ya que estaba lejos de la plaza , para llegar eran todo callejones con gente local y extraña . Por la noche había mucho ruido, hay una mezquita en frente de la cual a las 5 de la mañana se oían rezos en un altavoz a todo volumen , y había niños jugando en la calle hasta altas horas …. muy poca insonorización, se oye todo……

Vi følte os meget velkommen. Der var meget rent og pænt. Hyggeligt. God service. Støjende fra moskeen. At der kunne ryger i fællesområdet indenfor.
• Samuel (10/5): Liebevoll gestaltetes kleines Riad mit schöner Terrasse - Das Riad liegt in einer ehr ruhigeren Seitenstraße, von der aus man jedoch in 5 Minuten in die Souks laufen kann. Die Zimmer sind zwar klein jedoch sehr sauber und modern, zudem gibt es eine große und gemütlich Terrasse sowie Sitzmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Zimmer. (an denen man auch sein sehr leckeres Frühstück serviert bekommt) Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich. (Zur Begrüßung ein Tee etc. ) Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Riad. Alles war gut.
• OLENDER (10/5): Très beau Riad dans la Médina - Nous avons séjourné dans ce riad à Marrakech entre amis et tout s’est parfaitement déroulé. Un grand merci à Youssef, qui est extrêmement gentil et très arrangeant : il nous a notamment organisé une sortie à Agafay ainsi que nos déplacements en taxi, ce qui a grandement facilité notre séjour. Le riad est très joli, avec une décoration soignée et authentique, et l’ambiance y est particulièrement calme et reposante. Mention spéciale pour les petits déjeuners, qui sont délicieux et très appréciés pour bien commencer la journée. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit !
• Rosario (5/5): El Riad no fue capaz de aceptar su error - Las personas que nos sirvieron el desayuno y la limpieza Teníamos reservado el travel desde el aeropuerto, esperamos hora y media y no apareció, al final cogimos taxi por nuestra cuenta y al llegar al hotel, Bárbara nos recibió a gritos y malos modales. No quiso aceptar que su taxi no estaba esperándonos, incluso le mandamos un mail cuando llevábamos media hora esperando y no contestó. Inaceptable ese trato

• Julie (7/5): It is a nice enough place, but highly recommend good earplugs - Friendly host, good breakfast, good location Not sure if all Riads are like this, but it was very loud. You hear every guest that enters the building, talks at reception or in hallway, opens their door.. fine during the day (unless you’re trying to have a siesta) but very annoying when guests come in at midnight and later (especially the clueless ones who don’t seem aware that others might be sleeping.) Also kids are playing outside the window until at least 11pm every night.

Located in a pleasant local neighbourhood tucked away from the tourist and tourist-catering masses. Very clean. Not many places to eat immediately near the property but it’s only a 10min walk to the nearest strip.

• massimo (10/5): Una splendida vacanza in famiglia - Hanno aspettato il nostro arrivo con volo in titardo, accogliendoci con un ottimo the verde. La proprietaria del Riad, Barbara, una persona molto accogliente, gentilissima e preparata su dare consigli e fornire servizi al turista(ad esempio servizio navetta aeroporto, colazione in Riad, veramente abbondante e ottima). Terrazza con tavoli per concludere la serata con la propria famiglia a fare chiacchiere. Joseph, tuttofare della struttura sempre presente e disponibile. Location situata dentro la medina, a 10 minuti dalla movida di marrakech, zona molto tranquilla e silenziosa, anche alla sera si raggiunge il riad in tranquilla senza nessun problema di nessun genere. Ottima puliza, arredamento in stile arabo da mille e una notte.

When you arrive you will pass through alleys, and experience the reality of people still living in the old part of the medina. Riad inside decoration is beautiful. As previous comments suggested, Wifi is poor, gets disconnected often. Location of Riad is OK, within the old medina.

Location is in the Medina but approx a 25 min walk to the square, we found it nice to be a bit further out and explore a different part of the city. A little haven to come home to away from the hustle bustle of the Medina. The rooftop area is very beautiful and peaceful, and there are nice tables to sit at outside each room There is a mosque next door that can be loud at times, but all part of moroccos charm. (PS Keep in mind that some doors of the souks close around 10pm! We got caught out coming home and it was hard to find a way out.)

• Derek (10/5): A beautiful Riad in the Old Town. - This is a beautiful Riad in the Medina (Old Town). It is in a quiet lane away from most of the main attractions but easily walkable. Marrakech is very safe as well. The hosts Youssef and Barbara were very helpful with information prior to our visit and I would recommend booking a taxi through them to get to the Riad. The rooms are compact but more than enough room for a short stay with a great bathroom and shower. The room is cleaned every day with fresh towels. There is plenty of seating in each floor and a nice rooftop terrace. The biggest compliment is I couldn't fault anything. Not a single thing.

• Stephanie (10/5): Riad was very beautiful and had a really comfortable stay 10/10 - The property is stunning and immaculate,the owners here are really lovely and friendly,they also have a really cute sleepy puppy. The room was really comfortable and everything is so clean beautiful. Breakfast was served on the terrace which was lovley,the coffee was so nice. The owners are really helpfull too and were happy for me to keep my luggage there after I checked out and helped arrange a taxi to the airport for me. Just to be aware the property is in a residential area which is a little more conservative,was about 5 minute walk to an ATM and about 15 minute walk to the main square which was fine for me. Might be better to get a taxi back if you are staying out at night rather than walking.

From serving beautiful breakfasts on the roof terrace, to ordering us cabs when we needed it most - always with a smile! Great typical riad in the heart of Marrakesh on a calm back alley. Easy and walkable everywhere in the city.

It is beautiful, very clean, and very comfortable room. Youssef and Barbara are so kind and attentive and go out of their way to make your stay "the perfect stay" and make you feel at home. They helped me on every question I had from getting a local sim card to tips to visit Marrakech. They serve a delicious breakfast, all freshly made. I also had dinner at the riad, deliciously home cooked meal. Highly recommended.

The facility is beautiful and very autentic. The owner thought of every single detail in the room and in the whole Riad. Breakfast is delicious, every day it is slightly different. I would suggest maybe something salty like an egg, just to add some protein. It's in Medina with 15mins walk from Souk and with roughly 25 mins walking from the main Square. While some reviewers mentioned the rooms being small, we found them cozy and well-appointed, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The true gem of this Riad is its stunning courtyard. After a bustling day exploring the city, it provided a serene oasis to unwind and relax. Surrounded by lush greenery and adorned with traditional Moroccan decor, it was the perfect spot to sip mint tea and soak in the atmosphere.Additionally, the location couldn't have been more convenient. Just a short walk to the main square or a quick tuk-tuk ride away, it offered easy access to all the attractions while still providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle.Overall, we highly recommend Riad Dar Barbi to anyone visiting Morocco. Its combination of cleanliness, friendliness, and beautiful ambiance make it a standout choice for accommodation in Marrakech. Nothing to add.
• Jedida (7/5): Good - Quiet location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, nice breakfast, affordable and clean riad Walls are very thin and can be quite noisy early in the morning
• Edwin (9/5): Beautiful house in local neighborhood - The location was perfect because we felt safe and it was a very local neighborhood, not a touristic one. The house is beautifully decorated, tidy and clean. One can notice that they put a lot of thought into the enterior design. The environment inside the house is quiet and relaxed, we slept very well. We could hear birds every morning. We were surprise that there was no door between the bedroom and the bathroom but a curtain. Even though the terrace is beautiful, we would have loved to have a view of the city.
• Vaidehi (9/5): Will definitely recommend the place for first timers especially if you are two women on your own like we were! - Very beautiful riad, excellent location. Everything was walking distance for us. Youssef made our stay even better. His ever smiling face, his energy and eagerness to help out made all the difference. The rooms were cleaned everyday, breakfast was fresh and filling. All in all, an excellent experience. The toilet is separated from the beds by a curtain. It wasn’t a significant problem for us but could be for someone else.

The main reason we would want to return to the property is for the customer service! Youssef was great with us, he was extremely friendly and straight from when we entered the property he give us so much information to help us on our stay between what to look out for and how to stay safe. So I would highly highly recommend staying here as the customer service is second to none, thank you Youssef for making our stay in Marrakesh better! Also, you should go for the breakfast it’s great and definitely worth the price! The location is a bit of a walk from Jemaa El Fna but as long as you are vigilant you will be totally fine. Shukran!
• Gordon (10/5): The accommodation was superb, this is my second time to Marrakech soknew what to expect. - Fab little place tucked away down a little alley from the noisy street, this place is a little gem full of charm and superbly decorated. Breakfast is amazing, fresh juices, breads, yogurts, jams and pancakes, at no extra charge. My host, Barbara and Youseff were very attentive and make you feel at home. Nothing about the place as it was perfect.

Ultra nice owners that even made breakfast on our check-out day much earlier, that usually for their guests! Also, thanks for room service that actually was not expected! A very beautiful interior! • Marcel (10/5): Feel-good oasis in Marrakesh center - The hosts Youssef and Barbara are super nice and lovely people. Their level of hospitality is amazing. The furniture and decoration is very beautiful and provides a super relaxing feeling to its guests. The breakfast was delicious and for a small price. For us the best place we stayed in in Marrakesh! Highly recommend this place if you want to have an enjoyable and authentic Riad experience! Not really negative, but the Riad is a little outside the Medina, roughly 10-15min walk. But if you don’t want to walk the way, you can take a taxi or the local bus which is close by.
• Barbora (10/5): Fairytale - Just wow! We do not expect that at all. Honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to put it among must see visits of Marrakech in line with Medresa Ben Youssef. We felt like in fairytale. All Dar was just so magicaly beautiful, we were enchanted. Barbi and Youssef are very kind, well spoken and amazing people. Youssef was really toughtful host, so nice and kind, smiling all the time, fixing you sweet mint tea whenever he had a chance. Lola the housepup was such a sweetheart and breakfast was delicious. We felt safe and welcomed the whole time and would recommend the place wholeheartingly. Hopefully we come back one day! Don't miss a chance to have a shisha on the roof top among roses. • William (9/5): Cosy stay in a beautiful Riad with lovely owners. - The Riad itself was lovely and on the upper floors you feel like you have a garden on your terrace. The room is really cosy and the breakfast was nice and served right outside my room every morning. The owners were really caring and attentive, and went out of their way to make sure that my stay was the best possible. Although I should I have mentioned to the owners sooner, the only issue I faced with the room was that the main lights were not working, and the shower head was not attaching properly. But it was not a huge issue for me overall.
