- José Eduardo (6/5): - Es un lugar bonito pero a detalle tiene algunas faltas importantes. De la tina salina un hilito de agua caliente y tardaba mucho en llenarse. No limpiaron la habitación y hasta después supe que tienes que solicitarlo. La tina de hidromasaje al aire libre sólo es un gancho porque no está disponible. Su publicidad es sutilmente engañosa.

- Victor M (4/5): Muy ruidoso - La verdad es que el hotel nos pareció muy mala opción, los cuartos están mus oscuros, de hecho tuvimos uno que ni ventana tenía. Como el hotel comparte ubicación con un restaurante, un bar y un rooftop, el ruido en las habitaciones es constante. Nadie pudo dormir correctamente la primera noche por lo que tuvimos que solicitar la cancelación del cargo por la segunda noche que espero se ejecute sin contratiempos. El personal fue mus amable pero definitivamente no es una buena opción

Las habitaciones muy sucias, sabanas sucias, muebles viejos, sucios y descuidados con goteras de agua que hacen charcos en la habitación, NO HAY AGUA CALIENTE!!! Baño asqueroso, toda el agua se sale del área de regadera, toallas viejas! Las habitaciones y el lugar en general apesta a grasa quemada de cocina DIA Y NOCHE! No se dejen engañar por las fotografías de la publicidad!!!!!!! El peor error haber reservado ahi, no regreso, no lo recomiendo. Los comentarios de excelencia dudo que sean reales!! Insisto no se dejen engañar!!!

- Aylin (8/5): - El hotel se encuentra arriba de un restaurante, la habitación que alquilé me pareció realmente linda, tiene unos detalles muy lindos, la cama me pareció cómoda y tenía un jacuzzi amplio donde cabíamos dos personas. Lo que no me encantó fue que el piso del baño y en general de la recámara es algo resbaloso pero fuera de ahí está bien! Lo que me encantó es la hospitalidad del personal, es por lo que le doy la calificación al hotel. Todos son sumamente son muy amables, te apoyan en todo. Si volvería.

- David (10/5): - The hotel is an older property but it’s been maintained and is absolutely beautiful!! The decor is unique and great for pictures. The rooftop is nice but a bit cramped but again great for pics. Its centrallly located and I’d stay there again for a night or two but not longer.

There was no plug for sink that had a big opening where things could drop into or come out of. There was a drain in the bedroom next to the bed. We covered it with a magazine to ensure no insects came out of the drain. The towels were old and rough.

- Miriam (10/5): - We loved this property! Really I can't recommend this hotel more highly. While it was a little tricky to locate, it is worth the search. The staff, especially Israel were very kind, helpful and attentive. Each room has distinct artwork and personalized touches. Though the crystal chandeliers and bathtubs made my stay feel extra luxurious. The naughty cherib motif ran throughout the hotel and the views of the volcano from the roof were spectacular. We also enjoyed the roof top bar and deck. Finally, if you have the chance please frequent the restraunt downstairs for an unforgettablely scrumptious delight. Their soups really stood out made with seasonal ingredients and unforgettably delicious. We had such a pleasant stay we tacked on an extra two nights.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Das quinta essencia hotel ist ein umwerfendes gebäude, mit wunderschöner inneneinrichtung sowohl im öffentlichen raum als auch in den privaten räumen. Der service war klasse, wir bekamen hilfe mit dem gepäck und auch ansonsten war alles sehr zuvorkommend. Es hat soweit wir gesehen haben keinen lift, aber eine verzierte treppe und eine umwerfende dachterasse von der aus man sogar den naheliegenden vulkan sieht (sehr gut geeignet für goldenhour fotos) der einzige wirkliche minuspunk aus meiner sicht; die badewanne im zimmer hätte sauberer sein können. Da kamen nich ablagerungen beim ersten bad aus den düssen raus und wir mussten das selber aufputzen. Nicht weiter schlimm aber dennnoch bemerkbar. Ansonstdn war der aufenthalt wirklich fabelhaft und wir haben uns gewünscht, länger als nur eine nacht gebucht zu haben.

Solamente un aire acondicionado que no funciona. Eso fue lo único que afecto nuestra estancia y descanso. El personal muy amable.

- Isabel (10/5): - Sin duda alguna, la amabilidad de todo el personal ( la persona que hace la limpieza, la persona de recepción, personal del restaurante, la persona del valet parking ), es lo que más puedo remarcar en este viaje. Las instalaciones del hotel muy bien, y la cercanía al centro de Puebla en menos de 5 minutos caminando fue de gran ayuda.

La habitación muy cómoda y apta para dormir largo y tendido, la habitación tiene una tina de hidromasaje muy conveniente y puedes reservar el uso del jacuzzi del roof.

Excelente la atención del personal, siempre muy pendientes de todo, la cama MUY cómoda, muy cerca del Zócalo, la habitación silenciosa.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Would not recommend, rooms are dirty and outdated. - Would NOT recommend. This boutique hotel is in dire need of a refresh and a thorough cleaning. I truly do not know how they have such a high rating. My room had stained sheets, make up stained pillow sheet, the bathroom area was terrible. The toilet had rings indicating it hasn’t been cleaned in some time. The shower had hard water stains throughout. Not to mention it just looks and feels damp and dirty. The dim lighting hides a lot of imperfections but with a flashlight you can see how nasty the room was. I didn’t even feel comfortable enough to use the hot tub which was the selling point of this room. We slept on top of the sheets and used the towels as blankets. It was disappointing. The bench seat in front of the bed had debris, crumbs, and hairs in it indicating it had not been vacuumed in some time. The pictures really sell you on it but it was not a clean and fresh room. I don’t know if I got unlucky and got the oldest room but it was not pleasant. The only reason we did not leave was because when we got back to the room after the quick check in, it was late, raining, and dark, and didn’t want to deal with the process of leaving.

- Michel (10/5): Nice, and dated. But amazing staff - Mariana y Marco y Raymundo were EXCELLENT. The owners should be very proud of them - and likely should give them a raise. They are a golden team. There was no Jacuzzi and overall the property has seen better days. The location is hard to beat. And the restaurant that’s downstairs in the courtyard is quite good.

- Maria (8/5): - I really enjoyed Quinta Esencia. It was walkable to Zocalo and all points of interest even a fantastic restaurant on premises. The only pitfall was a very loud and popular bar directly below the hotel…music goes from about 8pm-1:30am Thursday-Saturday. This hotel is not handicap accesible, it’s an older Casona gorgeous by the way. Other than that, was a nice stay.

Access to the rooms was available to everyone, you simply had to take the stairs towards the end of the restaurant. Room was great, I enjoyed the ambience and the overall aesthetics of the room.
- Kathleen (8/5): - Terrific location for Zocalo, Museo Amparo, Catedral. The hotel occupies the second and third floors, with a pretty nice restaurant in the entrance courtyard on ground level. Beds are comfortable, most rooms include a soaking tub. For me, negatives were no elevator (getting to the third floor involves a lot of steps), the bedrooms rooms did not have much natural light, and the noise from adjoining bar on weekends was very loud. Staff was very helpful. I stayed four nights, then moved to Luma B&B about a mile away, which I highly recommend for accommodations and its fine dining breakfast.

The bathroom is oddly located 2 feet from the side of the bed so the others in the lofted queen bed felt it was not accessible to them. The room sleeps 5 but they only have one actual key for us.

- Laura (8/5): - Room was very nice, location was excellent for walking. Very courteous and helpful staff. Be aware that there are lots of steep stairs to climb to get to some rooms. Some coffee you have to pay for. Some rooms may not have windows. Plenty of food options not far away but restaurant in hotel and bar next door available. Very minimalist but in terms of location can't beat it. We had a very nice time.
- Naomi (6/5): - Great location in the centre of town and the room is nicely decorated and quiet. There are no windows in the standard suite which made the room very dark. Most disappointingly, there was no hot water all afternoon and evening despite reception telling us to simply run the water - it actually got colder the longer we ran it. We ended up moving hotels for the next night so we could shower.
- Nairda Yoval (2/5): - Tuve que salirme del hotel e irme a otro lugar, el aire acondicionado de la habitación no funcionaba y estaba súper caliente. Fue una estancia corta, estresante y desesperante. Sobre todo porque estábamos ahí para festejar un aniversario y terminó siendo una decepción. Los chicos de recepción siempre muy amables, pero sin darnos una solución real a nuestro problema. Quedo en espera de mi reembolso.
- Dahlia (10/5): Amazing experience - It was amazing, the design is really unique, everything was great, location is perfect. The only comment is the lounge bathroom was not that clean.
- Matthew (4/5): - We were pretty disappointed by our stay at Quinta Essencia. The hot water didn’t work for the shower and came out as a slow dribble for the spa/jacuzzi. Also the air conditioning didn’t work. The staff was lovely and the location is excellent. To be fair, we got back to our room late and left early in the morning so we thought it was pointless to reach out to the staff about hot water issues and non-functional AC. It did make for a sleepless night.
- Sarah (6/5): - Pros: The rooftop has amazing views and the hotel is centrally located to a number of great museums and historical cites. Cons: Rooms definitely need to be cleaner and perhaps updated - I didn't even use the tub in my room because it was filthy. The sheets and towels were also very worn. There was also very little room service (two nights the restaurant said they were too busy to accommodate room service), which is an amenity I expect to have at a "4 star" hotel. Overall, I think this hotel is more on par with a 2 or 3 star rating, not a 4 star "luxury" experience.
- Carlos (10/5): - For the price, this place was awesome! the room was spacious and the breakfast that was brought to our room every morning was really good. I highly recommend this place and the staff were superb. will stay there again if i go back.
- Pamela (10/5): - I loved the design and decor of the place. Superkitch but mostly ingreat taste. I was so excited to see the rooms had huge bathtubs with hydro massage which I'm not crazy about I just like the bathtubs. The staff was incredibly professional and helpful the room was so incredibly comfortable I slept great there. I think my only complaint would be that they charge for certain things most places give you for free, or just don't offer them, like bath salts or sewing kits, but on the upside I suppose it's an attempt at being ecological and not providing lots of things that you've plastic packaging.
- johan c (8/5): - Well located in the historic downtown. Walking distance to restaurant, shops and the main plaza/church. The downtown is well kept and colorful. Roof top tub/ terrace were a wonderful add on. Calm and relaxing during my stay. Windows only faced inwards towards the stairs from what I can tell so may be a little dark in smaller rooms. Staff was accommodating and the breakfast to room service was a great choice.
- Hugo (8/5): - It takes too long to get not hot, warm water to take a shower, so, too much waste of it, really disappointing on this issue
- Verified traveler (8/5): Highly recommended - Excellent location. Clean, friendly, helpful. Lack of window was only downside.
- Brigitte (8/5): - We stayed in the double loft which was nice layout and decor, jacuzzi inside the room. Also used the hot tub on the roof but water wasn’t very hot and we were told that it was good as it was 🙁
