- Nicholas (7/5): Peaceful and serene stay! - Located walking distance from the town. Very serene and peaceful lodging. While a little old, it was comfortable and had heated bed as well as a basic kitchenette with all the basic freebies. The lodging served it's purpose! Also had a very rustic common area for hanging out. Had a good sleep. Owner Allan and Amy were very accommodating. TV did not have all channels available but it was ok as we spent most of our time exploring Warburton. Hot shower sporadically ran cold and would have to wait for the warm water to run again. Shampoo and body soap were empty but we were fine as we brought our own. Billiards table needs some new cues. Owner was great though as offered another room for showering.

Good value as is an older property. Fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster all helpful. Rooms rather noisy and not well insulated. Bed rather saggy. Shower temperature hard to operate.
- Ralf (3/5): property is in a state of disrepair - The property is significantly misrepresented in its listing; the photos do not accurately reflect the current, dated condition of the space. Additionally, the plumbing is inadequate, with the shower providing only a minimal drip rather than a functional stream. Given these issues, I cannot recommend staying here

- Natalya (4/5): Rooms are not secure at all - The room was very clean, which was very appreciated given the age and dilapidation of the property gave me very low expectations. Cannot fault the cleanliness. There was not a speck of dirt or dust in the whole room. The rooms are much more modernised compared to the condition of the property, so that was a relief. Some art on the walls would help create a more welcoming atmosphere in the rooms, though. The kitchen amenities were welcome and the hairdryer and towels are modern and pleasant For the price, I was shocked at how run down the whole place is. This should be $80-$100 p/n. I also felt extremely unsafe as the only lock on the room was the flimsy push-button kind designed for interior doors. There were fittings for a door chain but the chain was missing. I always bring a door wedge for added security, but the gaps around the entire door were so wide, I couldn't use it. As a single woman traveller, I felt extremely vulnerable. I had to put furniture in front of the door to feel secure, however this is a HUGE fire risk. I received a message from the owner that my room key would be left IN my room, and I came to find it in OUTSIDE in the door lock! If a hotel/motel can't staff their property at 5.30pm on a Saturday to give guests keys, they should not be in business. The lack of security in this place is insane. The security needs to addressed immediately. I will actively be discouraging women from staying here. Also, the tv did not work, and no one was at the front desk to help. As other reviews have said, the water pressure is very low. If you have thick hair to wash, prepare to be in the shower for a very, very long time. So, I did not get what I paid for at all. No security and no tv

I had planned to walk into town, but one road isn't well lit at all so it's a bit longer than I thought - still ok if the weather is nice

- Dorcas (6/5): A clean, well-equipped room which would have been perfect if there was hot water. - I like the cleanliness of the room, location and the ability to self-check in and out. Wifi password was clearly displayed on the wall of the room. While a text was sent informing that I can self-check in, I didn't read it on time. As no one answered the bell at reception, the staff who told us the room we would be staying was someone cleaning the lodge and she appeared to be busy. She was pleasant in the short exchange we had. There wasn't hot water. I rang the number at reception (to call when no one answers the bell), it was one that didn't allow leaving a message. So I texted on the lack of hot water but no one responded. As we were there one night only, we left without taking a shower. Not long after I had booked the place, I received a text message to click on a link as the message claimed my booking was pending confirmation. This 'hacker' got my name and stay date correct. Fortunately, the booking reference number didn't match the one I was given. I blocked this messenger's number. On the day that we were to check in, a similar text message came from a different phone number. I blocked this messenger's number. A friend who booked here but cancelled to stay at another hotel also received a similar text message. To all travelers, please be wary of such messages. It appears that Booking.com's or Warburton Lodge's database has been hacked.
- Jim (8/5): We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again! - Good location near the centre of town. A comfortable if smallish room. Owner & staff were friendly and good communicators. BBQ area was great and the lounge area in the main section was wonderfully old-school with Chesterfield chairs & couches, old-style furnishings and lots of books lining the walls. There was a games room with pool table that we unfortunately did not have time to use. The fridge in the room could have been larger given we brought food & drink for picnics.

- Narelle (9/5): Great stay, had everything we needed. - Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Staff were great and room was great. We were under the balcony so had easy access to the road as the property drops off at the rear. The updates in the room were done really well. Clean and tidy property with great amenities. The floor was uneven in the kitchen area. Door to bathroom was stiff to close.

- Andrew (8/5): Exactly as advertised, no regrets, helpful management. - We had a great time, only staying for a night. We had a short stroll into town in the evening and had a lovely meal at the Alpine Hotel. The following morning we walked around the village and had a great time getting little things and icecreams etc. The Lodge is an older facility but the photos etc well represent what its like I think. If you're after a very new place this might not be your thing, but we were happy. We left behind a pillow and the owner has been very helpful getting it back to us.

Night time toilet access was a bit awkward. Roof was lower than expected. A/C cooled the kitchen area quite well, but made little difference to the rooms.

Mountain views was a hill behind a private house accross the street across the car park, so I would actually call that street views.

- TRAN (5/5): Not a criticise but room for improvement. - We weren't expect much out of the accommodation because of the last minus booking. The location was secluded and beautiful setting under those magnificent mountain.Just has to look pass all the messes and you'll be alright. Easily access to nice scenery places around the area. We were in a colonial timber lodge room 19 look like part of an extension. The room was clean and fairly modern with wooden floor, a tiny little fridge and little table with 2 chairs. But had TV, microwave and good slit system heating and comfortable bed, probably suit couple not family. Peaceful and quiet area and for the price of 2 nights I think is fair. The buildings was very outdated and the garden was wild and run down, lack of love and care 😪 hardly seen any staff except for a friendly old chap, look like a care taker of the place. Lots of cameras overhead felt like" Big Brother watching you" lol. I am a trademan and also used to own a bed and breakfast. The place certainly have potential to improve to at least 4 stars. I felt such sadness and despair as the place cry out for help.

It was easy to store our bikes outside the room on the verandah Everything looked a little shabby and in need of some love. Obviously in its time this was beautiful place to stay but has become run down. We couldnt get the heater to work which was a pity.
