Guest Reviews

- Mark (6/5): It’s my go to place, when I come there. Price is a key - Na Band playing downstairs kept me awake
- Cxral (7/5): - The location of the hotel was excellent, it was very close to the waterfront, and the view out the window was a masterpiece., the shower head was quite cute with how it needed coaxing to stay put, but it made the shower fun. The place was really affordable for this location, and the check in was at the bar.
The towels were fresh and I was so happy to see them on my bed coming back at night.
The comfy spot in my bed was predetermined for me by bodies of guests last, so it didn't take long for me to settle into bed every night. The kettle had a black layer at the base of it, so we didn't use it at all as it looked like it hadn't been washed since it was bought.
The door took throwing my body at it to open and close as it was waterlogged. For how tight the door was, all the sounds and vibrations from the bar came through even close to midnight. The Hotel could be mindful to close/ soundproof the event venue on second floor, from the corridor where guests slept... it was fairly difficult to sleep when kids were screaming along to Soda Pop.
There was no reserved parking for the hotel guests, so on the busy Saturday night there was a need to do a regular patrol to snatch a free space
- Ben (8/5): - The view, the bed was quite nice, good quality tv, close to 16s Sailing Club where we attended a wedding. No kayo sports on tv, the room smelt a bit funny like dampness, the sink was quite dirty. This was room 6
- Amanda (8/5): -
- Jonathan (1/5): I checked in, went to the room, then left straight away and stayed somewhere else. - Nothing, sorry. Room looked very different to online. Very old and dirty. Mouldy, smelled bad, very dusty.
- Craig (8/5): Highly recommend the food, view and staff. - The staff were outstanding as was the location. The all day dining and service were exceptional.
Veiws and parking were good. Stairs were difficult and the doors were heavy. They have room to add a lift and that would have made it so much easier for us.

- Jialan (4/5): No sleeping quality on a Saturday night - Good location, nice staffs Very old facilities
Loud late live music
- Patrica (5/5): It was ok - The room smelt and there was no hanging place for clothes
- sakaki (7/5): -
- tiarni (3/5): Wouldn’t stay again - The location was good The bathroom was very small and the sink is very inconveniently placed outside of the bathroom. I didn’t like I couldn’t get a park at the property because of an event and the very loud music until about midnight. The kettle also doesn’t fit in the sink to fill.
I wish I had of known ANZAC Day was a big event at the Gunyah because I wouldn’t of stayed. I expected being ANZAC day that it would be a very quiet and respectful day, instead I was met with a blocked off car park and a crowd of loud drunk people. I had to come back at a later time to hopefully get a park which I never got and had to park on the street where I saw the result of drunks damage an old man’s car. The loud music went until close to midnight and made it incredibly difficult to sleep. I would have definitely stayed elsewhere had I of known.

- Kristine (5/5): Pretty standard basic accommodation for the Swansea Belmont area - Good value for money. Pub downstairs is cool. Close to the beach. The rooms were ok for a very very basic hotel room but the walk to the room was pretty gross. There was a horrible smell in the corridor that really made me want to gag. Before I even seen my room I wanted to get the hell out of there, once I was in my room. It was OK.
- Brenda (8/5): -
- Lee (6/5): - Shower filthy needs retiling, no fresh air, aircon noisy, smell in the room, otherwise very good value for money Same as above
- Obordo (4/5): - I like that there is restaurant nearby. The hallway inside the hotel smells cigarette. Bedside table and cupboards were old. It was noisy even at around 10pm already and we can hesr it from our room inside.
- Richard (4/5): Food was really poor. -
- Mike (9/5): -
- Alison (7/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): Really good - Central location Ned’s very comfortable

- Indulkar (3/5): Not enjoyable - Location Cleanliness, noisy, staff service average
- Joanne (8/5): Staff member I encountered was very pleasant and helpful. I slept well in my room - Lovely and clean, nice view from my window Stairs 😆 only because I had a heap of luggage that I couldn’t keep in my car, so really there wasn’t anything to dislike
- John (8/5): Friendly staff great location - Location No free internet
- Moira (10/5): Lovely view over the harbour - Clean and comfortable Nil
- Kim (9/5): - Loved my room, thank you for the upgrade. Much appreciated. The bed was sooo comfy, I had a great nights sleep.
- Bianca (10/5): - The rooms were larger than I expected. It was a very comfortable space nice and close to where we wanted to be. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to others!
- Susan (9/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Kerry (4/5): - The beds are comfortable No hot water to take a shower which negated everything else
- THOMPSON (10/5): the place was wonderful - clean comfortable good value everything was perfect
- Susan (9/5): -
- Megan (5/5): As advertised, but had caveats. - Location/outlook of the bar on the water was nice, facilities were mostly as advertised. The staff demanded physical ID and a physical credit card. If this is a requirement it should be listed on Booking.com (as not everyone carries a physical ID or physical credit card). Toilet leaked (was not a serious problem, but less than ideal).

- Hendry (9/5): Great location by the marina and touring the area - Great location and super friendly staff, hotel food was delicious and great to take a water to the watersedge after dinner. Was abit noisy as our room faced the main road,
- Sophie (4/5): -
- J (6/5): -
- Petrice (7/5): Comfortable, good size rooms - Vicinity to everything Late live music. Water ran brown initially and then my children didn’t want to use the water
- Graeme (10/5): Worth the stay. - New clean room. Beautiful eating area down stairs. Highly recommended.
- Emily (8/5): -
- Anthony (5/5): Not value for the money we paid. - It was convenient to where we needed to be. We could not find parking on-site when returning to the hotel in the evening - no reserved parking for guests staying in the accommodation. The bathroom is dated, and the hot water is so hot that you have to turn it down, which reduces the pressure.
- Oaten (7/5): -
- Panagiotis (10/5): Comfortable and clean - The pub was really good, great atmosphere
Friendly staff and the bistro was excellent
One of the best chicken snitzels I’ve ever had
Great spot and heaps of parking Would have liked some water in the Fridge
Room was clean
Not too many concerns
It met my expectations , it was a quick rest and go.
- Kasey ONeill (6/5): - The bedrooms was decent The water was dirt and the guest next door to my room wouldn't keep the noise down all night n early hrs in the morning so couldn't get any sleep so p at
- Adam (2/5): - Location handy to event Bathroom quite unclean. Water pressure nearly non existent.
- Graham (9/5): Gr8 place to watch a band and retire upstairs for the night. - Location
- Jess (7/5): - Location was good for where we needed to be while we were visiting.
The room was modern (except the bathroom) The bathroom was very dated. However, the water was hot, and it was relatively clean.

- Kim (7/5): It was ok. I’ve been there numerous times and had been better. - Nice quiet location. Hotel is good with facilities. Good parking. Love the addition of body wash now with shampoo and conditioner. . Single beds are awful. King are really good. Single very uncomfortable, king are great. I have stayed quite a few times and the last few times, the food in the bistro is not good. Have you changed your chef. Previous to that food was great. Showers could do with an update.
- Stephen (7/5): -
- Katie (8/5): Value for money, beautiful area to stay and explore from. - Very clean, value for money. Don't expect to get to sleep till really late when they have live bands playing below 😀 Alright for Hubby & I but our young son found it hard.
- Tracey (9/5): - Room was quiet, even though situated on highway. Staff didn’t know, or fix, broken toilet seat while we were there.

- chau (8/5): - We have suite 9 with very good view of sunset on the lake
walking distance to shop/ restaurant nearby
- Maureen (4/5): Would only stay again if nothing else was available - Rooms just ok Not great condition
Hated trying to drag suitcases up heaps of stairs
- Jason (7/5): - No breakfast, location good for purpose of trip. N/A.
- Karen (4/5): Friendly staff, spectacular view from lakeside rooms, great pub food. - The view from my room of the lake and yachts was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The staff were kind and friendly. I’m sorry but I had to check out a day early. The smell of cigarette smoke from the pokies room is the first thing that hits you as you enter. There were no signs indicating where to check in so I took my luggage up the stairs not realising it was behind the bar at ground level. There was a smell of damp/old carpet in the hallway. My room also had an odd smell to it like the drains needed cleaning and the toilet had the worst smell for me. Couldn’t get fresh air as there was only aircon in room which was only just recycling the smell. I had nowhere to hang clothes especially what i was wearing to a funeral so it didn’t crumple.
- Owen (8/5): -
- sue (8/5): - Band played till 10pm but after that the room was surprisingly quiet - slept well
- Hyunjung (7/5): Happy to back soon - Close to everything. Beach, Colse, shopping, pub down stair. Walking distance to lake. Pub is not noisy cuz family friendly.3-6 happy hours 5.5 dollors drinks. I love it. And, some food special such as 18 dollor steak. Parking also plenty but might be full easily. Street parking available. Happy to visit again. If u wanna cheap one but dont wanna sharing bathroom it is best deal. I am female single. Very old. I dont mind. If u wanna fancy one, shouldnt book this. I spent most of time at out of hotel, so i dont mind. Just side of 50 km load, car noise can be problem til midnight.
- Rod (6/5): All good - Attached restaurant Bar pretty roudy
- Claudia (6/5): -
- Holly (8/5): -
- Milan (1/5): - Not responsive at all very bad service . Thanks

- Sean (7/5): -
- Michael (7/5): -

- Back (2/5): - Good wifi I had to wipe of dust the first thing I did to make it liveable. White layers of dust on the carpet in one place close to the wall. I planned to ask the staff if I could borrow the vacuum cleaner and clean myself, but unfortunately I was not brave enough. Loud music from the bar lasting to after 10 pm. Street view
