• Dianne (8/5): Overall a great apartment only a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh city centre. Would recommend to - This apartment was a little home from home with everything you could need for a few days. Excellent location only a few minutes walk to vibrant Stockbridge, and Edinburgh city centre. The area was exceptionally quiet which was good. However noise within the block carried. It was quite disconcerting as it actually sounded like someone was entering the flat.

• Lucia (9/5): Wonderful stay, great facilities and a very comfy bed! - The flat was lovely and cosy, very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy! The tv had a good range of channels to watch for a night in and it was quiet at night. We had a late check in and despite our travel delays we were still greeted and shown what to do around the local area. The location is good, with a small selection of restaurants and shops about a 10-15 minute walk away. It’s about a 25 minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh which is also easily travelled by bus if needed. There is a late check in fee, which we were more than happy to pay but be aware that this may be added if you are planning to travel in the evening.
• Eliška (10/5): Lovely stay in Edinburgh - It’s perfect equiped apartment in quiet location. Around 15-20 minut walking in to city of center. There is so close supermarket and restaurants. I really recomend. I would like to book in future if I will come back to Edinburgh.

Esattamente come descritto dalle foto, molto pulito, dotato di ogni strumento necessario per cucinare, a circa 1 kilometro (15 minuti a piedi) dalla città vecchia di Edimburgo ma ben fornito anche dai mezzi pubblici. Ha anche la lavatrice, ferro da stiro e stendino. L'host, Steven, ci ha accolto di persona e ci ha dato varie informazioni su cosa vedere in città e su come muoverci nell'appartamento, è stato molto gentile. Tornerei altre 1000 volte! Se posso dare un consiglio, proverei a cambiare il materasso del letto... è eccessivamente morbido, tanto da affossarsi e creare mal di schiena... Ma se non avete problemi per dormire, andrà benissimo lo stesso
• Alice (8/5): A clean and cozy apartment that had everything we needed for a short visit to Edinburgh - Super comfortable bed and sheets, nice big towels! Full kitchen Very clean! Good size for 3 adults Good location with shops and cafes nearby and an easy bus up the hill to the centre Steven is friendly and welcoming The apartment complex layout is complicated to get out of to the main street (have to go down, across a patio, and back up, to leave out the front), but this is more just something to be aware of for accessibility reasons There seemed to be quite a lot of noise in the back alley in the mornings from construction, servicing, lorries etc

• Peter (3/5): Unsafe microwave caught fire when we used it and was not removed or replaced - Very comfortable and well kitted out apartment within walking distance of Princes Street Very restrictive property owner. Was making dinner for my wife and our 8 year old son on the Saturday evening with the radio on after a long day walking around the town. Received a text message just after 10pm to say that we were making too much noise. Utterly ridiculous. Also, tried to use the microwave on the first night we were there and it caught fire on the inside. I informed the property owner but despite being in the flat for another 3 days, the microwave was not removed or replaced despite it being an obvious safety hazard.
• Darren (9/5): Fantastic first trip to Edinburgh - The apartment was perfect for us, very clean, very comfortable, very quiet & felt safe, great location & easy access to bus stop. Stockbridge is a very pretty area. We really enjoyed our stay. The only one negative was that the mattress was too soft.

• David (10/5): Splendid apartment - attention to comfort and safety was excellent. - This is the best self-catering, short-stay apartment that we’ve ever stayed in. It is located in a very quiet area near facilities and buses. As we like a very firm mattress (as per Asian hotels) we would’ve liked a firmer mattress. But, based on our UK experience, the mattress, though soft, was the firmest we’ve found so far on this trip. A minor matter - I had to clean the burnt residue from the iron footplate before I could use it.

Excellent location, easy access to Princes Street by walking or by bus to many tourist attractions. Supermarket just downstairs. Felt very safe. • Joaquín_t (9/5): Amazing Appartment - The apartment is located 20mins walk from the Golden Mile, so we were able to explore the city on foot. The equipment was perfect, we found everything we needed during our stay. Steven, our host, gave us the keys to access the flat and was very helpful in giving us initial directions to nearby supermarkets and points of interest in the city. We will definitely come back again when we return to Edinburgh.

Right around the corner from some terrific cafes, restaurants, and bars.

Nice grocery store right outside the door as well as restaurants, and pubs. Bus stop across the street to take you to all the main attractions within a few minutes. Also walkable to the middle of town and Dean's village.
• Jessamine (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful area with lovely shops and cafes, brilliant, communicative hosts, and lovely facilities. Extremely comfortable stay and would definitely stay again. It's a steep hill into town but it was a good excuse to get my steps in, and there are many buses nearby if you don't want to walk.

• Patrick (9/5): This was a perfect base to explore the city of Edinburgh. - Great location. During our stay there happened to be construction work in the street. At the strike of 7am the builders made it known their work day had started.
• Nicola (8/5): Excellent apartment although construction noise upset the mornings - My friend met the host who gave her all the pertinent information, and the keys. A well organised flat, with excellent wifi connection. Very quiet at night (not so in the morning, see below for that!) Shower very good. Good fridge/freezer in Kitchen, lots of other things which we didn’t get around to using like washing machine etc. Well stocked with kit. Nice area. The main thing we didn’t like was we didn’t know there was building work going on very close to the apartment beforehand. That started very early. One morning trucks and cranes arrived at 6.30am and the pile drivers and reversing bleeps from the cranes etc started bang on 7am all three mornings we were there. We were out from the flat around 10am every day but it was very noisy in the living whilst we were there. The other thing was the sofa bed mattress which needed a refurb, you could feel every spring.

• Joanna (10/5): Very well appointed apartment - Steven, the host, was extremely helpful. There was a lot of information available in the apartment - tourist info and apartment info. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. I couldn't find the 'secret passage' that enables you to exit/enter via a neighbouring building. Not a problem - I was just intrigued.

We were greeted by Stephen, who went through everything with us, and he also recommended a couple of restaurants for us to try. We arrived on the afternoon and the sun was streaming through the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Violet Bank Apartment and we will definitely be going back, thank you.
• Lutine (10/5): Spacious apartment in Ediburgh’s city centre - A comfortable, quiet, modern, spacious apartment in Edinburgh’s city centre, just a short walk from the castle and in the vicinity of lovely coffeeshops, art galleries, and restaurants. The apartment is fully equipped, ideal for a family with a young child such as ours. The owner was very helpful and provided us with all the information we needed for a fantastic Easter weekend.

• Michelle (10/5): September 2022 - This is a lovely well-maintained, very comfortable apartment, near downtown but not in the middle of things so it's very quiet. We did notice some construction going on across the street but it was not particularly noisy and only during the weekdays when we were out and about anyway. An easy walk to pretty much anywhere you want to go. Kitchen was well stocked and everything was easy to use. We did run into a mechanical issue with the washing machine but they were right out to fix it and it worked fine after that. Wifi is excellent. Small grocery store nearby and a bigger one about a mile away.

Really well thought out layout of the flat and really well kitted out. Easy access to Stockbridge, few minutes walk and the same into central Edinburgh. Loads of cafes and bars within minutes walk. Short walk to the station. Brilliant location Nothing to dislike!
