Guest Reviews
- Angela (10/5): - Even before we arrived we had had a phone call from Susan regarding arrival time, how to find property, etc. Susan went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure every single thing had been taken care of. The tea and homemade lemon drizzle, my husbands favourite, offered to us on arrival was such a lovely gesture. The house is in a beautiful setting and is spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for Susan and the breakfast was fantastic, she even went to the trouble of getting Clonakilty sausages for the second morning as we had said they were our favourite. Jake the boxer is adorable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. 11 out of 10!!!!!!
- Patricia (10/5): - Susan was a nice host. Breakfast was delish. Jake, the Boxer, was a welcome distraction!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A lovely home and hospitable couple.
- Ronald (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer at this beautiful BNB! Breakfast was excellent! A beautiful location! Thank you.
- Mary (10/5): - Our host, Susan, was so kind, generous, and lovely. Her home and property were beautiful and comfortable. This B&B was a perfect location to take advantage of all of County Cork.
- Mark (10/5): - Quiet clean and very welcoming
- geoffrey (10/5): Tranquility at its best - Home from home. Hosts were wonderful, helped with in depth local knowledge. House and gardens including its own lake were idyllic. You'll have to go some to beat this place. Can't wait for our next visit. Thanks again Susan &Gordon
- Lisa (10/5): - Lovely stay during our vacation. Susan and Gordon made us feel like family. Fantastic property. Really enjoyed the tea and scones, breakfast and seeing the newborn calves. Best stay of our vacation. We hope to be back again and stay longer.
- Michael (10/5): Must stay here if you get the chance. - Susan and Gordon were beyond inviting. They treated us like family, especially our 11 year old son. We cannot rate this B&B high enough. The location is amazingly quiet. Also Jake is a great diog!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Hosts Susan and Gordon are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Room was clean and comfortable. Lots of written materials regarding things to see and do in the region were available. Food was great.
- Joanne (10/5): Lovely views and perfect hostess - Arrival tea and scones were fabulous, I was made to feel very welcome.
- Kathleen (10/5): Lovely Lake House - The Lane House was spectacular. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. I really loved looking out over the lake and the grounds. The home made breads were wonderful.
- Robert (10/5): - This is a fantastic B&B, spacious room, clean, within walking distance to town, really.....and I mean really nice breakfast, and the owners will bend over backwards to help you with any issue you may have......
- Fiona (10/5): A little bit of perfect! - Just perfect in every way. This was our first hotel on our first trip to Ireland and we couldn’t fault it. Our welcome was lovely and the tea and fresh scones a delight. Beautiful room, amazingly comfy bed, spotless bathroom and big fluffy dressing gowns.
The grounds are beautiful and it was lovely to be able to wander around the lake and meet the animals!
Wonderful tasty breakfast, lots of choice and freshly cooked, nothing was to much trouble. Definitely on our list to return to.
- Eileen (10/5): - Beautiful B&B with a fantastic view. Hosts are fabulous. Very clean and modern.
- Brenda (10/5): First class quiet getaway in Cork County! - Excellent hospitality and knowledge of the local area from Suan and Gordon the owners.
- Brenda (10/5): Sanctuary in Cork County - Very peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent and Susan and Gordon were very welcoming.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Sometimes what goes wrong that tells the story - In my case, our plans changed and we were not going to visit the area ILO of another location. Since my reservation was made on 4/17/18 for a 6/30/18 stay, I forgot about it. Expedia somehow did not send out a reminder for the upcoming stay. Although they were very apologetic, they said it would be up to the hotel to decide if they would refund the stay. The owner Susan emailed me late on 6/30/18 inquiring if I needed directions. I responded that I was unaware of the reservation. Although it was beyond the cancellation window, she was very gracious to allow a refund for the two rooms. Very nice for her to grant the exception. This to me represents integrity and compassion. I highly recommend that she should be rewarded with your patronage.
- Ludovica (10/5): - Wonderful place
- Tom (10/5): Best place to stay in Ireland. - This is our second time here because the first time was amazing. The hosts make you feel like family. They make you feel like you don't want to leave.
