Le petit déjeuner est très correct et le personnel est attentif aux demandes qui lui sont exprimées. Implanté au bord d'une rue gravillonnée peu fréquentée, l'hôtel est calme et la vaste salle qui dessert les chambres est très pratique pour s'installer si l'on souhaite y travailler ou se réunir facilement avec d'autres partenaires du voyage RAS, l'ensemble est correcte est parfaitement adapté pour un séjour d'un ou deux jours dans la région de Monteverde. L'hôtel est à 5 minutes du centre ville en voiture

• Stefano (7/5): An average stay with acceptable basics, but several comfort and service issues affected the overall - The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the basics were fine and it served its purpose for a one night stay. There was quite a lot of wind coming into the room at night, and we were kept awake by cats fighting in the back garden. There is also very little noise insulation between the rooms, so be prepared to hear your neighbors talking. The parking was on the street rather than at the hotel as we had been told, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, the front staff were not very friendly, and the breakfast didn’t meet our expectations, so we chose to eat elsewhere.

• Léna (10/5): Super séjour dans cet établissement, foncez - Super établissement, avec cuisine à dispo (mais attention il faudra penser à apporter son sel et son poivre car vous ne pouvez pas utiliser le leur…) qui est fonctionnelle et propre ! Petit dej DÉLICIEUX tous les matins 😍 Chambre propre et salle de bain également, spacieuse et avec bon débit sous la douche. Parking sur place et emplacement proche de tout ! Les hôtes étaient très accueillants. RIEN.

• nikitha (4/5): I would not return - The hotel was a okay value for the money. The rooms had a TV, and the breakfast was decent. The ladies who prepared the breakfast were extremely kind and accommodating- especially when it came to my son’s food allergies. We really appreciated how considerate they were of his dietary needs. One thing to note is that the shower water is extremely cold, so if you’re not prepared for that, this may not be the place for you. Unfortunately, our experience with the front-desk staff during check-in was very disappointing. On one occasion, I had a question and waited for about 10–15 minutes while one staff member was on the phone. He did not acknowledge my presence at all, even though another staff member was relaxing in a hammock in the office. I eventually went back to the room, exhausted from waiting. Another issue was in the common cooking area. I had forgotten to bring salt and asked for just a small pinch to add to my food. The staff member refused, saying that nothing is provided by the hotel, and suggested that I drive to the nearest grocery store instead. While I understand policies, it felt unreasonable and unkind to refuse something so basic—especially when it was clearly available and being used by him and the other staff member. After a long day, this lack of empathy felt quite disheartening.

• Mike (6/5): Ok aber würd ich nicht nochmal buchen.da gibt es besseres und ohne strafankündigung - Das frühstückspersonal war super und hilfsbereit als auch flexibel. Überall wird eine Strafe angedroht. Wenn man zu spät kommt muss man Strafe zahlen, wenn man die Handtücher dreckig macht muss man Strafe zahlen, wenn man 1 Minute zu spät auscheckt wird eine Strafe angedroht. Das das überall und sogar noch vor Ankunft kommuniziert wird, vor allem das Wort Strafe, war einfach sehr ernüchternd. Ebenso gab es keine Fenster in der Unterkunft. Die Fenster auf den Bildern sind teilweise zum Innenhof welcher komplett überdacht ist und abgeriegelt. Es gibt keine Frischluftzufuhr.
• Joaquin Bravo (10/5): - Los hosts fueron super amables en todo momento, el desayuno muy rico, las instalaciones limpias, cómodas. Me quedé con mi esposa y mis dos hijos de 9 y 7 años, ellos super contentos en dormir en litera, y nosotros de nuestra cama de buen tamaño. También nos ayudaron con buenas recomendaciones de actividades para los días que estuvimos ahí, teníamos ya algunas ideas, y ellos nos ayudaron a aclarar el panorama y hacer las reservaciones, todas un éxito rotundo :-p. Fuimos a las tirolesas de extremo park, a una caminata nocturna y al ranario. 5 estrellas!
• Jason (10/5): - A great family ran business! The help they provided with booking excursions and shuttles in the area was the upmost appreciated and lead to a great experience in Monteverde. The hotel was a nice quiet place to relax and great ambiance. It was about a 20 minute walk to town.

• Xi (7/5): Great for a short stay - The property is absolutely gorgeous, the room and all open spaces are decorated with wooden furniture and nicely painted. It is such a delight for the eyes. The breakfast is prepared freshly every morning. The staff are very nice. There is no hot water for shower. Plus, it is located in a small village with no restaurants around. You need to take the car to Santa Elena every time (about 5 min drive) but it can be challenging to find a parking spot.

• Panp (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff. Breakfast was basic (pancakes), but OK. Adding eggs would be a good idea. The coffee was very good though. Fast WiFi, but please mention the password. Scanning a QR code is problematic when using a laptop. I had to use my smartphone as a WiFi repeater. Parking available. Good value for money overall. The toilet was small and the toilet seat was a bit broken.

• Laura (8/5): - Wonderful staff! They made us feel so at home and helped us book all the activities we wanted to do while visiting monteverde. The rooms do get a bit hot because there are no ac units - just one rotating fan per room. The bathroom also had a rough smell because there were no vents inside of it. But if you are looking for an affordable, safe and welcoming stay, this is definitely a wonderful pick!!

• Ebru (3/5): Poor - Staff was friendly, room was spacious, common room was nice. Our room was not well ventilated and smelled of mould. The only window was out to the common room and the bathroom did not have any ventilation or window. We left after one night and found another place to stay.
• Catherine (4/5): Disappointing - The place is convenient. The common areas and the kitchen are nice and the breakfast was good. The hotel charged me an extra fee on my credit card without any heads-up after my stay for a broken toilet seat that was already broken when we arrived. As the place is closer to a hostel style than a fancy hotel, we didn't report it. It turned out that they charged me $30 for it. I am still wondering how we can break a toilet seat in 2 nights. Be careful when checking in, take pictures of everything and report anything (even slightly damaged) right away otherwise, they will charge you to replace their already broken furniture without even telling you before taking your money. You can also pay in cash to avoid the hotel to get more money from you.

• Clare (10/5): - In the heart of Monteverde, yet far enough away from the tourist traps, this is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The family are all *so* kind and helpful, and everything is a short cab ride away. The place is very clean. The breakfasts are delicious. Bed was comfortable, and there was a TV, fan and fridge in the room. The kitchen is open during the day to make your own food. We are so glad we booked to stay at Greemount Hotel.

• Ramin (10/5): - Our stay in Greemount was great. The property located a bit out of the city that makes the area more quiet. The room was spacious ,very clean and with comfortable beds. It had a functional fan and we absolutely didn't need AC nor teh fan as the area doesn't get too warm. The property is family owned and it is very cute and well maintained. The room we had was better than the images. There is a small sitting area inside and one outside that we enjoyed a lot using them. The kitchen is a great plus to the hotel allowing you to have a small meal and not always hit out meals. Finally the owner was absolutely helpful and available at all time. He helped us to book our tours in the area, at no extra cost and actually saved us money by getting the tours on the right time. We enjoyed our stay there! Thank you

This hotel beautiful inside and out. The room was very nice. The location was very close (driving) to many activities and the town center. Beautiful end of street view. Very relaxing. Warm water because it was cooler in area and cold at night. Walls are very thin but seems to be common in this country. Light sleepers beware.

• Nigel (9/5): Superb - The staff were very welcoming and provided an excellent breakfast. Very helpful organising a trip and with sorting out the laundry. Not within easy walking distance of Santa Elena. The hotel itself did not have a restaurant or bar.

• BARBARA (8/5): - The staff was very friendly. The space in the photo is a common room which is well-lit and very comfortable. Breakfast was prepared for each guest individually. There was a barking dog next door and a crying baby that disturbed our sleep.

The location is good - out of the main tourist areas, but within reasonable walking distance of town. Very nice backyard area. Walls are thin and noise from other guests was occasionally bothersome, especially those talking loudly late at night.

• Anonymous (7/5): nice but disappointed in booking process - location, very clean mother daughter very friendly. lovely breakfast scorpion in the room with my two granddaughters age 1+ & 5 dad found it on shelf under tv and killed it when I booked rooms for my family I went thru booking .com I booked two rooms 1 room for my son & I for 45,00 and 1 room for my daughter, son in law and two children age 1+ and 4 yrs. the rate came up for that room as 45.00 as well. but I noticed that in the confirmation it only listed the 1+ and not the 4 yr old. I went back in and tried to change but it wouldn’t let me. I had screen shot where I had entered both children so I thought ok I guess it’s all recorded. upon arrival at hotel the owners son wanted to charge us more because we had only declared one child. I showed him the screen shot that I had declared both children but he would not accept booking.com’a error. Very disappointed in the booking process.

• Tina (10/5): - What a gem! I stayed at this quaint property for the first leg of our visit to Costa Rica, and it was the perfect blend of authentic experience, convenience and charm. The roads to get there are a little crazy, but it’s proximity to the town and cloud forest are perfect. Traveling alone with a young child, I felt safe and the staff was quite friendly and attentive. A family owned and operated business that truly cares about its guest experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Monteverdi for a few days!

We’d return to this hotel simply because how lovely the staff are. It’s a little bit out of the main part of town but an easy walk or quick ride to everywhere you’d like to go. The rooms are nice. There’s a comfortable lounge area in the courtyard. It has the typical quirks of Costa Rican hotels like low water pressure etc. but that it to be expected!

They helped us planning tours and transportation with a very sweet driver. The beds are also great! Would definitely recommend staying here! Just a bit humid in the room. But I guess that is something you can not avoid in this climate. And it was not too bad.
