- Phoebe (5/5): Expensive , NO WHERE NEAR the city, not really social enough for a homestay and def needs repairs! - Most likely i will NOT be back but if i have to say one thing i liked , it was the entertain room. the common tv / movie room was cool, although intead of a fan an aircon unit would have been better but the light tight room with the red velvet curtains and sofa's and big screen was a nice touch for a Homestay tho , the signs and rules around times allowed to use breakfast items were very strick and lacking the spa filter was broken and keep floating around and bumping into me and also not function and did not even clean the water , the spa smelled funny - like BAD bad the entire week i was there, the bad court area was a construction site half way through my stay kyle and jackie took off on vacation and this elderly british couple were in charge and every invasive and repeated during normal hour kept locking me out in the pool because they kept locking the sliding door multiple times during the day and evening which was frustrating. the Televison in the pool and bar area is broken and there was no reply on the phone as the owners left and the random travellers were contactable either the room had ANTS on the carpet and my bath towel dropped on the floor and was quickly covered in antrs or silver fish There roof in the bathroom needs repairs the t.v in the bedroom had major issues, there was screen issues , black bar lines going through and colour distortion

- Mrs Sara Gardiner (10/5): Very relaxing, as the house was clean, bright and beautifully furnished and decorated. - We loved the owners, Jodi & Kyle. They both went above & beyond to make us feel comfortable & make our stay very enjoyable. The house is in a fantastic location, within easy reach of amenities. We felt very at home. The inside of the house was absolutely clean, gorgeous and spacious, with pool table, home theatre, swimming pool and a lovely, relaxing outside area. There was nothing not to like! Everything came up to our expectations and Jodi & Kyle are a lovely couple. We felt very relaxed and refreshed after our stay there. We would recommend Ocean Reef Homestay to anyone.

We also found that ground level noise quite loud due to other guests having no consideration. Despite all our comments the owners were very welcoming and the property was very clean and tidy.

Even when it was set at 16 degrees it was still very very warm, it didnt seem to be as powerful or able to cool down the whole room.

We stayed 2 nights liked is so much we returned for another 2 nights It was perfect no complaints. We had a shared bathroom was a bit unsure. But only had to share with 1 other room and it was not a problem ever.

The coin based washer and dryer idea, i understand the logic behind it however,having cash and or getting coins is inconvenient, improvements up the stay price to compensate laundry, or use tap to pay technology, beddings need a modern overhaul they give old and antique vibes in a modern luxury home. Other than that this place is absolutely exceptional.

- Bridget (10/5): It felt like a home away from home. - The host were super friendly. It felt like a home away from home. Will be staying there more often! Honestly there wasn’t anything that I didn’t like everything and everyone was amazing
- Orm Arna (10/5): Best accommodation in the northern suburbs! - Incredibly student friendly! The breakfast was easy with a variety of spreads and breads, as well as healthy treats. There was a lot of storage and fridge space allocated for every room, making cooking from the hotel - to save money - very convenient, especially with the cooking options available. The pool and spa looked amazing! And the bed was really plush with quality blankets. Jodi and Kyle were great hosts. We are new to Perth and booked a few nights at Ocean Reef Homestay while we sorted out university accommodation and they made us feel like family. Overall, an fabulous experience for the price! Public bus stations are further away, requires some uphill walking.

The room we were in was small but homey and there was plenty of space for 2-3 people. Owners fully provided materials for breakfast and had commonplace ingredients in the pantry for communal use. Everything was clearly labeled and kept very tidy. Gym was broken at the time of stay, no fault of the owners! Everything else was incredible.

- Lisa (10/5): If you need a great self catering place to stay in Perth stay here!! - Great accommodation for the 5 nights we were in Perth for Christmas. The house was set up extremely well with everything you needed, kitchen was well equipped and the breakfast every day was really nice. Added plus point was the garden with the pool, hot tub and bar area. Great for relaxing in the hot weather. The hosts were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back if we come again to Perth!! 11 out of 10!!!! Nothing!!

- shelleen Anne Humphrey (5/5): Our stay - Room was nice,hot showers,games were good, pool table was nice Toilet smelt like mould, pool needed to be cleaned,floor of the pool was slippery, owner talks so fast can't understand what she is trying to say,door lock was hard to decifer,food was limited could not eat whenever you wanted to even if you are hungry, theatre room had no cooling system,too many rules,spa could not use cause it was broken down,I was sleeping due to being pregnant the owner knocked hard on the door and woke me up, didn't offer us extra time to stay to get up she charged us an extra time for 20.00 ,

Indoor Camera Surveillance in Kitchen, Living room, hallway which shows entrance/exit from toilet and shower areas. Camera Surveillance in backyard entertaining area-covering the entire area.Spa wasn’t working and no prior notice given. Only told on check in.Indoor Video Surveillance/Backyard Video Surveillance-No notice or consent requested on confirmation,nowhere on booking.com advert and nowhere on welcome booklet in room. Strong Mould/Damp smell in bathroom,Oven filthy with food scraps and air fryer was the same.With video surveillance inside/backyard of this property, it prevented us from feeling comfortable or able to relax. It was a horrible experience for all 6 of us. We didn’t even use the showers and left at 7am Sunday.

There was only one toilet and one bathroom which was shared by 4 Guests rooms. The term 'Private" Bathroom used by Booking.com, and other websites is very misleading as it seems to imply that you have your own private bathroom. This should be replaced with the term "Shared" bathroom which avoids any misunderstanding.

Would have liked to stay longer and relax. Would go again.oarling excellent. Comfortable, slept well but I am used to more room. Balcony added to internal atmosphere although it only looked into road. Could keep an eye on my vehicle. I felt a bit like an interloper to the family that lived in. Not having full access if help was need was a concern proved a problem when help was needed as I could not get the TV working until the next morning.
