• Nicolas (2/5): Mauvaise expérience ubud - Inadmissible c’est une grosse blague fuyez vite Les salles de bain sont degeulasse toute noire les drap sont tachés les serviettes trouées on a changé de chambre car les carreaux de la première étaient cassés et remplacé par du plastique du coup impossible de dormir tellement il y avait de bruit les chambres ne sont jamais faites toute la durée de votre séjour Et quand on est arrivé à l’hôtel il n’avait rien préparé et ne nous attendait pas Les photos de la piscine que vous voyez est la piscine du voisin on a voulu y aller et quand on est arrivé car elle n’est pas attenante à l’hôtel on c’est retrouvé avec une dame sui se préparait dans sa salle de bain car on était dans son jardin La seule personne compétente et très gentille c’est la mamie de la maison Et le seul geste que j’ai eu de Hotel.com c’est 20€ de dédommagement alors que j’avais demandé d’être relogé ailleur

• Verified traveler (2/5): Request to not publicly display this, name or not - I approached staff to ask if could assist a simple request about HDMI with TV. This was particularly important as my laptop screen is little broken . There were 4 men. I don't know if they were inebriated but they insisted on messing with me, disrespecting me, then telling me to my face that they didn't feel like helping. I challenged this verbally then said I don't feel comfortable I am moving my stuff. As I left.. they got on 4 motorcycles speeding from behind then passing me on the street to scare me. It was ridiculous. A cafe owner let me hide in her place after she closed up as some shady vehicles kept coming around. All I did was move out.. leaving room fine .. they had payment . I imagine this threatening was because I dared challenge them verbally. I haven't decided yet about refund . I am very broke but scared if their payment denied they may use knowledge of my name to somehow harass me further

• Andrea (8/5): Nettes Homestay, nette Leute, prima Lage!!! - Super und in jedem Fall im Wortsinn preiswert für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Ubud. Liegt gut am Rande des Zentrums der Stadt. Wir wollten uns ein bisschen bewegen und sind zum Affenwald, der Elefantenhöhle und natürlich zum Markt, Palast etc gelaufen. Sauber, Ausstattung und Frühstück normal balinesisch. Angenehm ist, dass Gäste den kleinen Pool im Garten benutzen können. Im Garten ist noch ein Hostel.

Respecto a la habitación, puede mejorarse mucho la limpieza del lugar. No tiene ascensor. Y la piscina es la de las fotos pero no pertenece al hotel. Es una piscina pequeña compartida por varios Homestay.

• dnward (2/5): 5 Minute Stay - When we arrived with our luggage we surprised them as they weren't expecting us even though our booking had been organised and paid prior. My friend had a sore knee and we had to trudge up two flights of stairs with our luggage and was shown into a room where we requested twin beds but were still together as a double with one large cover over it. A quick look out from the balcony sealed our fate to a very busy street with slow wifi. After a 10 min sit down and think about this situation we decided to leave immediately and go to another hotel which we were very happy with. If you're a backpacker - go for it and stay at this place, if you like a bit more comfort don't even bother to check it out. Thanks, Donna, Australia 🇦🇺
• Andrew (10/5): Mama is amazing - Mama is an amazing host. I had a welcome drink and a warm welcome before I even got my pack off. The rooms are large and bed comfy. Mama is also a fabulous chef. So you’re in for culinary treats at cheap prices. The only down side is this place is a 25min walk from the main strip. But a cheap scooter taxi gets you there cheaply. The bar called lovin on the street is amazing. Comes alive about 11pm and some of the proceeds go to under privileged kids. All in all a great stay
• speeday (6/5): No room cleaning, no change of towels - + about homestay: + location is OK, around 10 minutes to Ubud centre. + breakfast good with few options (banana pancakes are great), you can get it at any time you want, just need to ask one day before - about homestay: - no room cleaning, no change of towel (we stayed for 5 nights, so we had to ask for new towels), no toilet paper (had to ask for it everytime) - they don't own the pool - we aksed for it and she said her brother has it in the back and we could use it on other day - would be nice if you could get fresh juice included in breakfast, not to pay extra - wifi very poor, not working in the room, you have to stay in restaurant for it to work - accomodation is located on most busiest street, so if you want to have good sleep don't choose it
• Hugh (8/5): Good value and handy to town - Good value for the price. Great little pool. Close to main part of town. We didn't get our included 'free' breakfast, was told that didn't apply to us!! Not a big deal but somewhat annoying.

Zudem konnte man in Mama's Warung zu jeder Zeit lecker essen. Zu den touristischen Sehenswürdigkeiten waren es allerdings einige Meter. Der Pool ist ebenfalls super!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Amazing host, dirty bathroom - Mama and her staff are so incredibly sweet and accommodating, and I enjoyed that the room was nice and big; however, my bathroom was very dirty. Lots of mold in the shower including a completely molded shower curtain and there was consistently a very bad smell (I think there may have been an issue with the pipe system?).
• aky1994 (10/5): Excellent! - We were so happy to stay at Mama's homestay. Our room was spacious and had all the basics we needed. Walking distance to most things in Ubud. Mama is a very pleasant, hard-working lady who is ready to help you with anything! She cooks you breakfast every morning, and we also visited Mama's Warung (her little restaurant with delicious food and cheap prices) and did a cooking class with her. Her English is better than most Balinese, so it was easy to communicate with her, and we always felt very welcome. Very good value for money. We would definitely stay here again.
• Marija (8/5): God - Billig hotell. Hadde 3 netter der. Selv om det var skrevet daglig rengjøring, aldri ble vasket i disse dager(mangler vasking på rommet i det hele tatt). Ingen skiftet av håndkle. Også fant ingen teppe for å dekke seg i sengen, da måtte bare ta av lakken. Grunnen problemer med flyreise, ankom vi om natten, ingen traff oss,heldigvis fant navnet mitt med rom nr skrevet på tavlen og nøkkelen inn på døra. Neste morgen ble kjent med eieren mamma og familie. De var hyggelige personer, laget frokost personlig. Wifi nesten ikke virker
• nicoho90 (8/5): Great homestay lovely atmosphere - Nyoman Badri Homestay & Mamas Warung were the place where we started our bali trip. We couldnt have asked for a better place... even thou the wifi is a bit weak, the room was pretty good and clean. Best banana pancakes for breakfast. Food from mamas warung really cheap and delicious. Mama and staff suuuper friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Location is in walking distance to the ubud center - about 10 min.
• Q7961NMrachelb (10/5): Excellent 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - We had a great start to our visit to Bali here. Mama and all the ladies working at the homestay are so warm, welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious and there is access to a nice pool. We enjoyed some great food here including a really good breakfast every morning. Would definitely recommend.

Location is about 10 mins walk from the centre so a but quieter but easy to walk. Our shower was fine, but it didn't really drain. The wifi is ok, but doesn't work when many people aren't on it. The food is so yummy!

• Cédric (2/5): Excessivement bruyant... - Rien de très positif excepté l'emplacement. Chambre le long de la route très passante jour ET nuit. Chantier de construction juste à côté où les coups de marteau commencent vers 7h... Une piscine caché trouvée par hasard. Pas de ménage entre nos 2 nuits, mais c'est peut-être de notre faute nous avions gardé les clés ? Un petit déjeuner correct mais sans plus et une relation limitée au strict minimum avec le personnel. 2 nuits à très peu dormir à cause du bruit me font regretté mon choix pour cet établissement.
• BartGiezen (10/5): Become part of a Balinese family - If you really want to feel at home and taken care of, go to this place! The wonderful owner calls herself ‘mama’, and after a few moments you will call her that to. So warm and welcoming. The room is basic, but all you need: Airco, hot shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast is fresh and very tasteful. There is a Warung connected to the guesthouse, and mama makes everything fresh from the morning market. Prices are sharp! Met lots of other travelers as well. The pool is a big plus, you share it with an other small guesthouse. They can help you with everything: renting scooters, good massage/spa, taxis etc. I’m a fan!

I found the room very clean and spacious, comfortable bed, and even nice views towards Mount Batur. The food is also very good and reasonably priced. I didn´t like Ubud so this place was my refuge during my stay there!

• redeyeblues (8/5): For budget travellers; Room=3/5 - 4 rooms are on the 3rd floor with only stairs. Mine's bright & spacious with a nice view but fairly basic although everything works okay. TV only has local channels. Hot breakfast that you can choose is included - fruit platter plus omelette/toastie (jaffle)/pancake+ with tea/coffee. Some parts look like they could do with a bit of refurbishing/powerwashing. Bring your own shampoo & don't expect your room to be cleaned daily - just ask if you want it cleaned & it'll be done quickly. If you are on a tighter budget, this place might be okay; otherwise do pay a bit extra if you're looking for something nicer. Some light traffic noise, occasional cooking chopping sound & construction next door during the day. Wifi is choppy like the rest of Bali but you can get a 17GB 4G LTE sim card for 100,000 a couple of doors down to the left. This really is a homestay 'cause "Mama" actually lives here and goes to the market at 6 every morning to buy fresh ingredients. It's convenient to have a reasonably priced warung restaurant that's got decent food right downstairs with an extensive menu which opens all day til 10 pm, especially at lunch when it's way too hot to wander around outside - Mama or her nice staff will make you something whether it's 7 am or 9:30 pm. I ate downstairs almost everyday during my 11-day stay. Pool area in the back, shared with "Inn Between" hostel, is quite beautiful. Next day laundry down the street (10,000-15,000 for 1 kg). Lots of small shops & restaurants on the street right out but not as touristy as the "center" so you won't get hassled. Walk right to the end then left onto the main street (Raya Ubud) - doesn't take long but pretty dimly lit after dark. About 15 minutes to walk to most sights (motorcycle taxis charged me 30,000). Hall to the room might be dark but there is a light switch! Airport drop off is 250,000 in a nice car, same as transfer from Legian. Many tour agencies around to book day trips starting 150,000.
• 88maxineh (10/5): My favourite place in all of Bali - Staying here was the best choice I could of made! Not only is the food and accommodation incredible, but mama, her family and staff make it out of this world. I have never felt so looked after anywhere else I’ve been. Nothing is too much for them, I can’t wait to go back. Mama works so hard every day to make sure it’s all perfect, and it is. The food is to die for! I was only ment to stay for 3 night then move on but I extended it not wanting to leave! Highly recommend this place. Until next time Mama <3

Mama, her family and the beautiful people that work here all make you feel welcome and at home. Happy to go above and beyond to cater to our needs. Waking up to an amazing choice of breakfasts, from eggs, pancakes, toasted sandwiches... accompanied by a delicious fruit salad and tea or coffee. An in house warung serving brilliant lunches and dinners, lovely pool to cool off in after a day of exploring and all less than 500 meters to the main street. Loved everything about this place... • Verified traveler (8/5): - Run by lovely ladies- very friendly and accommodating. Food was amazing and at a great price point. Location is a bit of a walk from everything. Also the courtyard below can be a bit noisy. You have to request if you would like hour room cleaned also. Overall good stay.
• JIHYEON (4/5): - 늦은 밤에 공항에 도착해 우붓으로 넘어와서 1박만 하려고 예약한 곳입니다. 잠만 자고 가기에 좋습니다. 침구가 깨끗하고 침대가 큰사이즈라 두명이 편하게 자기에 딱 좋았습니다. 화장실만 괜찮았다면 정말 좋았을텐데 화장실이 아쉽습니다. 세면대와 샤워기는 기대하지 않으시는게 좋습니다. 세수, 양치만 울며겨자먹기로 후다닥 끝내고 곧장 잠드는 것을 선택했습니다. 방은 싼 가격과는 달리 넓고 깨끗한데 화... 화장실이... 와이파이, 에어컨 다 좋았습니다. 커튼치면 보이는 뷰도 로컬느낌 나고 나름 좋았습니다.

• JaviLondon (8/5): A plce to stay and enjoy - We originally booked with my partner for 2nights, and we extended. The bathroom is average, and they do not do your room during your stay. However, the staff is really friendly and Mama is always welcoming you with a smile. We is happy to help with anything you might need. If you stay there, you will LOVE THE FOOD. The breakfast is amazing and a good opportunity to try local food (if you want to). Everyting is home made, try the green smoothie WOW. Lunch and dinner options are a must! The swimming pool is perfect to wine down your day after few excursions. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you Mama

• Andre (10/5): - Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Not fancy in any way but really good value and comfortable rooms! Would probably stay here again if I come back to Ubud.
• elliottn (10/5): I really felt welcomed and in good care here - Mama the hostess is such a warm, genuinely nice person. My room, although quite a climb to the 3rd floor was clean and spacious with a good solid locking door and private bathroom. It's a wet bathroom but the hot water was good. The shower water drains slowly but it was not a problem. Breakfast was great for my tastes. A plentiful fresh fruit salad along with a cup of great hot tea was a good start. Then a hot sandwich with cheese, egg and tomato, perfectly toasted hit the spot both days. There is also a restaurant onsite with great food. Try Mama's special Nasi Goreng!! This homestay is also only a few block from the main strip in Ubud and the Art Market is about a third of 1k or less. This is a good place to stay and I would stay here again.

• Indoaussie (10/5): "Home Away From Home " - This is their mantra, slogan, catchphrase. Call it what you like, but you don't have to be staying at Nyoman Badri Homestay for very long before you feel the warm welcoming of this home away from home. Everyone from Mamma (as she is affectionately called) to her family through to the wonderful people who work for her take an interest in who you are and where you are from. Mamma is not short of having a conversation in getting to know you. But at the same time all give you your space. The Homestay itself is excellent value for money. Rooms are clean and tidy, you look forward to the included breakfast each morning. Fresh fruit salad and other choices. This place also has a warung (cafe/restaurant) that serves a large variety of good food, and offers great service. I initially booked the Homestay for one week - extended another two - further extended another one. That's just the draw and connection that this place has. Ubud itself also has this same attraction - the people are so warm and friendly. So.... if you are not looking for 5 star accommodation at the 5 star cost; just comfort, clean and excellent value for money, you shouldn't go past Nyoman Badri Homestay while in Ubud. One more thing to note - the Homestay has a driver/tour guide associated with it. USE HIM. A very humbling young man who considers nothing a problem and goes out of his way to please. Even the very late pick up from the airport on arrival.
• LAILA (10/5): Amazing experience - Mama is a very helpful and kind woman, the room was very large and comfortable, we had air-conditioner and also a small balcony with small hanger for the clothes with was very helpful. The breakfast, OMG the best part, every morning she received us with a fruit salad and we could choose the main breakfast dish, we loved the banana pancakes and the Jaffle. Also her staff is adorable and make the environment a very good place where to stay! Would super recommend. Also don't forget to try one of the traditional dishes from mama's waring, it's yummy!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly Folks and a Comfortable Stay - Mama was very friendly and the space was really good. We weren't provided with towels, the sink leaked and the beds were moderately comfortable and the fan in the room made sleeping a bit more comfortable - although there was only a comforter on the bed and no sheet. The room was big with a desk and traditional doors and windows. The location is about a 15 minute walk to the centre but it's fairly quiet all things considered. Breakfast was included and was pretty good. For the price, this was a good choice for a few nights.

• Shir (8/5): - Hele fijne overnachtingen gehad bij nyoman badri homestay. Mama is echt een schat. De kamer is ruim en schoon. Ligt in een zijstraat van de stad dus je hebt geen geluidsoverlast. Jammer dat er geen zwembad was om af te koelen maar je hebt keuze zat om ergens anders even een duikje te nemen.
• Dominik (10/5): Familiäres Gästehaus - Das Gästehaus war echt super. Es wurde für wenig Geld sehr gut gekocht. Man wurde von der Gasthaus Familie aufgenommen als würde man zur Familie gehören. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen der nach ubud reisen möchte in das Gästehaus zu gehen und kein normales Hotel auszuwählen. Nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht!!! Danke Mama :) Zum Foto: Das war meine Aussicht. Konnte ich sehr gut mit Leben :)
