- 903ysaf (8/5): Had a nice experience! - It's my second time in Coron. I went with friends and this lodge has been referred by a good friend in our center. The place is near the port and very convenient if you will go island hopping. The room is spacious, linens are good and there's a variety of food especially for lunch or dinner. The seafoods are delicious! You will also enjoy singing the night away with the videoke. An area for improvement though: to provide trash bins inside the room and not just inside the toilets. Understand that some days can be staff under-manned (but I truly appreciate the diligent staff who served us food); but overall, the affordability is worth it! Will definitely be back.

There was bugs everywhere in our room and bathroom, they got into our unopened food. after booking a double bed they gave us two single beds because “our room wasn’t available” they offered us nothing for the inconvenience and were unhelpful when we asked them basic questions

We stayed for 5 days, but they were unable to clean our room. We just asked for a fresh bedsheet and pillow cases, a broom and a mop and we were the ones who clean our room. The wifi was so poor. No way we can hang our wet clothes, the staff just told us to go up stairs and hang it on the balcony. The linens have stains and the bathroom was not that clean, the sink was broken.

- toniotheflash24 (6/5): Budget Friendly - We stayed here overnight last 2018. The lodge is good for backpackers. Rooms and bathroom are so spacious. We liked the appliances especially the ceiling fan. Its location is very accessible especially that it is near the port of coron where the tours depart. It's also easily accessible by public transpo. The market is also near the hotel where you can buy seafoods and stuff.

It's the best accommodation site for those who are planning to have the island -hopping experience of Coron multiple package tours because of it's location. It is near the port area where boats dock in going and coming from the island-hopping experience.

If you opt for a fan-only room, ask for one at the back of the annex; the street-front rooms are much noisier and get too much afternoon sun. Staff can help arrange tours and transfers.
- Sid0017 (10/5): 5 Nights in Coron - This place is located within Coron town with all shops restaurants nearby and the docks. Staff was very helpful and attentive, specially the lady at the reception. If I come back to Coron I will rebook here.
- MICHAEL LIONGSIN (6/5): Good Amenities But Lacks Ventilation - You will find some value for this hotel. This 16 square meter room comes with a large single bed, a strong electric fan, a large glass round table with two rattan chairs, clean good quality flooring tiles, a private bathroom with lavatory that flushes well, strong water in the sink and shower. However, no window in the room and the small window in the bathroom opens into an enclosed area. So the room is like an enclosed box and the door has to be opened for once in a while for some ventilation. I stayed for three nights and could not wait for it to be over. I hope this is not representative of the other fan rooms. There should be no problem with airconditoned rooms but airconditioning makes me creeps due to its large energy consumption.

We booked it through a travel agency along with tours so I have no clue how its price places in the market but I’m pretty sure it’s a budget place. Pros (+) - The hotel staff’s hospitality is superb! I really feel welcomed from the check-in through check-out. Shout out to Angie;) - Room/ bathroom are spacious, clean, well-lit. - Food was good & relatively affordable (except for the american breakfast) - Lodge is nearby the island hopping rendezvous, market, luahlahati park & restaurants (we initially thought that this was a bad location as we kept on hiring trikes whenever we were heading out) - Relaxing view from the restaurant - Relatively cheaper food than those in the main road. Cons (-) - There were intermittent power/ water interruptions during our stay. Imagine the experience in the middle of having a shower. - It was hard to maneuver the shower at our room. I had to figure it out a couple of times. It seemed broken; I just got tired of seeking help as we barely stayed in our rooms anyway. Verdict: The pros totally outweighed the every single con— so I’d say go. This is a good deal (great, actually) for a budget hotel.

I am not sure about the rate per night because we booked through a travel agency for my husband's birthday trip in Coron but we totally enjoyed our 5d4n stay here. (+) Friendly, courteous and attentive hotel staff. We requested for a change in towel and they immediately responded. Always willing to help and greet us consistently since day 1 They have hot and cold shower. Room is decent and clean. Airconditioned unit is working perfectly. Food from their restaurant are all good. Hassle free airport transfer (with coordination from our travel agent, I guess) Near the port for island hopping activities (-) Smelly bedsheets and pillow cases Water interruption for a few minutes in the morning. We experience brownout for a few minutes as well in some days. Verdict: Although there are some negative comments, we still love this lodge and will definitely stay here again when we visit Coron.
- Wellabelles (6/5): "From Good to Best" - I booked 4 nights stay in Luis Bay. When I checked in, the catch was they gave me a different room type from the one I booked. Thankfully, they were able to change my room as some guest checked out. My Online Travel Agency Provider (Traveloka) helps me a lot and their Customer Service Representative did a great job in providing assistance and they make sure that the problem was solved. The property is located nearby other attractions like Mt. Tapyas, Lualhati Park and walking distance to different kind of Bars, Restaurants and souvenir shops.You can save money for transportation expenses as you go around the town. The hotel staff are quite shy but can still managed to greet their guests cheerfully. The best part of being a guest in Luis Bay is that when I did my canvassing almost around the town, the Luis Bay offers more way cheaper Tour Rates and Activities compare to any other Travel agencies in town. 👍
- 508lorrainew (2/5): Avoid! - We’ve been travelling for a year now and we’ve stayed cheap in lots of places and countries and this hotel (if that’s what you want to call it) is the worst I’ve ever stayed in! We were met at reception by a woman who asked if we had a reservation then asked to see proof of our reservation and stood reading it for ages then opens up her book and there are our names right in front of her! She knew we had a booking but just loved to waste her time and ours! We were taken to a room which was literally a sauna/sweat pit! Mould all over the ceiling, windows that wouldn’t close so mosquitoes could come inside and the bathroom had a colony of ants living in it crawling up the walls etc and no toilet seat either! Yes this room was cheap but my god it was disgusting I wish we had only booked one night and not two! Would not recommend anyone to stay here!

- beckyl228 (6/5): Fresh Palawan Seafoods Dampa Style - Coron, Palawan abounds with fresh seafood catch but nowhere can we find a Dampa that caters to a "paluto" where the customer does the marketing and let's an establishment do the cooking for the fresh market produce, until our tricycle driver pointed us out to the nearby Luis Bay Travel and Lodge. No signages at their resto that says they cater to "paluto' but our fresh catch was accepted right away. We got lobsters, prawns, crabs, squid by the kilo from the market and we had them cook each with chili garlic, butter-lemon, chili-oyster sauce and grilled accordingly. The crude ambiance save for the sights of Palawan sea and mountain ranges seen from afar was compensated by the delicious cooking with mouth watering presentation of the seafood bounty coming in generous servings. And the best part of it all, it didn't drain our pockets! Seafood paluto almost at its best! Yum,yum, yum, yum. The only downside: the sight of the filthy river bank at the rear side of the resto. To improve on this, San Luis Bay Lodge can start and maintain a clean-up drive of the nearby river bank, which is not really a hard thing to do.

- lydialton (8/5): Good and Cheap - Our driver recommended luis bay to us, so cheap compared to most places to stay in Coron. A private room was cheaper than most dorm rooms. The room was nice, bed was comfy, had a fan on the ceiling, bathroom was nice and clean although quite a few ants. Really close to the main center not even a 5 minute walk, and close by to the port to get the boats for all the tours. Luis bay is great for budget backpackers

The air-condition needs a time to make the room cold, and the bath room need to fix. The place is safe, but very old building. If I will come again to coron, I will have another place.

The location is good, and with the excursions we went on they were able to pick us up from the Luis bay. All the staff were very friendly, and we had a security guard on site every night. We also had breakfast there most mornings which we enjoyed very much. If you aren’t looking for luxury but want a comfortable cheap place to stay then look no further.

- vicjens (2/5): Unresponsive - I booked a room in luis bay lounge for aug 29.. tried calling several times to cancel or change my reservation.. i was advised by booking site representatives that they cant get hold of the person in charge of the reservation changes.. so i reached out to the hotel directly. Was able to talk to a lady at the hotel reception and was advised of the same thing.. that the person who"s in charge is not there.. she gave me a number to text (cannot accept call as all calls are diverted to them).. so i texted the number requested for a quick call.. i missed his call and he never called again. I messaged him and mentioned my intention, to cancel or move my reservaation to a different date, he replied once or twice then after 3-4 follow ups, i never received any response.. staff at the hotel are not helpful bec it should be the manager or owner who should decide.. i am very disapppointed with this experience.. poor review for this hotel.. poor customer service.
- Rhey Mark John (8/5): Luis Bay Review - It was an amazing hotel given our budget. The hotel staff are very accommodating. One concern is only the water in cr. It has very low pressure that cause us more time taking a bath. But overall, it was amazing.
- Ngung Chia (10/5): Great location; Value for money - Great location although Coron is a small city and you can almost walk to any place. 2 mins walk to the port for island hopping, diving, etc. Also 2 mins walk to the local market for cheap food, market raw food and even tailor services. Fan room has mosquito netting for the windows and therefore quite cooling by keeping the windows open. Room is spacious but very basic. The WC has no toilet seat and the flushing not working. There is a smell of chemical due to the newly painted walls. Only one power charging point. Free drinking water top-up available and that is a great bonus. Excellent WiFi inside room Value for money considering the good location. You get what you pay for.
- louisesegovia (10/5): Enjoyable! - We had a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Luis Bay while in Coron. The room we had is cosy and just right. The place is strategically near the port, where you take the boat to go island or beach hopping. It is also near the town so one can just walk around easily. The view of the sea and the sea breeze were refreshing to the senses, esp. as you eat your breakfast in their restaurant. Their danggit is a must try 😀 They have great and fresh seafood too! Definitely recommended!
- tshigwedha (8/5): A fair price for a fair nights sleep - A understated travelers lodge on the end of Coron Islands! The wifi is incredibly strong here and they offer a beautiful restaurant over looking the small towns harbor. Everything you need is withing walking distance from each other
- ElliTravels (10/5): Affordable and comfortable stay - We stayed here for 4 days in our trip to Coron and I must say that this lodge is worth it. The staffs are accomodating and well trained. The room and the toilet is neat. The aircon is properly working. But the view outside the window is not good. It is far from the restaurants but it is near the port.
- brandon (4/5): Roughing It - This hotel is not nice by any stretch of the imagination. My first room had no AC cause I accidentally booked a “fan only” room and AC is an additional $10/day. I also had a swarm of ants come thru the wall and a scary looking spider fall out of the curtains and scurry around the room at one point. In my first room, the fan only one had a giant hole cracked in the toilet seat and the second room (when I upgraded) had no toilet seat at all. The water is on a pump system and doesn’t have warm water or consistent pressure. Getting water out of the shower head was a challenge in the AC room. Ok - so with all of that being said, I would still recommend this hotel. Its not a nice place but I’m also not a luxury traveler. I’m a backpacker and this place is located right in the middle of everything. There’s a local market (cheap food and beer) and gas station right next door. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating and the security left me with no doubt that my things were safe while I was gone all day adventuring. The price is also incredibly reasonable. I enjoyed my stay.
- sarahu824 (6/5): It's OK - The place is cheap. However, it's a little bit far from where the eateries are. On the bright side, it's near the port where the boat tours depart. The toilet is not working properly. The wall near below the sink is broken. Thin walls and you can hear people's voices from the room next door. The wifi is not strong. The staff is accommodating and helpful.
- skip15000 (2/5): But the TOILET doesn't work - OK, it's cheap. But that's about all you can say about the place. 4 days NO Toilet. Every day the same. "Yes, we fix it." No, it doesn't work. Solution. "You can check out and go to another hotel." What? I already paid yo for this one. Then there's the AC which also, DOES NOT WORK. Sorry. Then there's the daily cleaning which does not happen, and the fact the the room has NO outside window and the light stays on all night and the shower is just a tap in the wall and the sink leaks all over the floor and the walls are so thin you can hear "everything" in the next room. NO this is NOT a place anyone would stay except people who don't know what's here until after they arrive
- Sean (8/5): Great budget accommodation - My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was very basic but we were happy with the value for money. TV, air-con, bathroom, and clean sheets, and hotel staff were friendly. Highly recommended for budget travelers!
- hunter_torqs (10/5): Cheap but good - Stayed here for 4 nights when i went to coron. Location: It is just near the port which gives access to many travel agencies to book your tours. The room is a walking distance from the main hotel but it’s not a problem. Room: I stayed in a solo fan room, it has it’s own CR and king size bed good for 2. The room was clean and no problems encountered. Price: the price is just right for the room. Paid 400 per night for the room which was good compared to other hotels. Staff: all the people that works for this hotel is good and accommodating, there is a staff always ready to attend to your needs and a security guard to secure the place at night. Overall this hotel is a thumbs up. Recommended for budget travelers, solo, couple, family and large group of people.
- Squeakyduck (10/5): Absolutely overpriced for what you get - Stayed here for one night due to having no accommodation booked (our friends stayed here too). We were charged 600 pesos for a room in the annex at the back of the building. Two double beds (both very uncomfortable) and a noisy fan. The water was not running when we went to take a shower later (we had travelled for 9 hours from San Jose only to have no running water). Absolute waste of money for this place. Would not stay again.
