Sue (8/5): - Nice large studio apartment in great location. Walking distance to the town centre. Unfortunately the building is in the middle of a building site at the moment. It is however quiet. Would not recommend for mid summer as no aircon but with a fan was ok in cooler times.

Apartment was large but not well equipped. I have stayed in much nicer places for a similar price. However, good underground parking and not far to walk into centre of old town. Marcus (10/5): Well worth a visit - This is the second time we have stayed here and hopefully we will return next year and stay for a longer period. On first seeing the property from the road it appears to be derelict but once you are down the drive there is a new modern building. The original derelict part of the site is now being developed and it will be interesting to see the result. As stated in the details the apartments are part of a sheltered housing scheme for older people but don't let this put you off . The apartments are clean modern an very nicely furnished with windows opening onto,the canal. Parking is 5 euros a night in a secure carpark. The cathedral and town centre is a very short walk away and Troyes is a beautiful old city well worth a visit,

Jean Pierre (8/5): Endroit atypique que nous avons apprécié - Séjour agréable et confortable d'une nuit dans un lieu atypique qui mêle Apart hôtel et Résidence Senior sur un ancien site industriel très bien rénové. La chambre-studio est grande, confortable et bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner pris dans la salle commune de la Résidence Senior est classique et correct. Seul petit bémol, la distance avec le centre touristique de Troyes (environ 1km) donc pas recommandé si vous êtes pressés ou si vous avez des difficultés à marcher. Tout confondu, nous avons aimé et nous recommandons l'endroit.

Accueil agréable mais minimal Equipement (couverts, plats...) minimal aussi 2 points importants à savoir : - l'hôtel partage ses locaux avec une résidence seniors. Les lieux sont donc aménagés en conséquences, ce qui donne une déco un peu froide et aseptisée - l'extérieur des lieux n'est pas encore totalement aménagé (ancienne usine en bord de fleuve)

The reception area was attractive and we were welcomed by a very pleasant young man. The apartment was large well appointed, modern and attractively decorated. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Dirk (10/5): Wohnen im Seniorenheim - guter Ausgangspunkt - Kleines, sehr sauberes Appartement im Seniorenheim, einfach eingerichtet, aber für uns perfekt, da wir mit einem Einkaufswagen unser reichhaltiges Gepäck leicht aus der Garage hochbringen und in einem kleinen Extrazimmer im Appartement unterbringen konnten. Nur wenige Meter in die Cité, fünf Minuten zu Fuß zur Kathedrale. Wir würden es wieder nehmen.

Peter (10/5): Excellent appartment close to town centre - The appartment is in a relatively new block half of which is an old peoples home. The appartment was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Check in staff very friendly. 20 minutes walk to Troyes old town centre with plenty of restaurants.

Gardner (6/5): Good value but don't opt for the breakfast! - Quite reasonable, room was good and generous size with handy kitchenette. The really disappointing element was the breakfast - where the service was non-existent and most items guests had to hunt down themselves. An odd arrangement, an aparthotel alongside rooms for elderly people, not sure that really worked. Fairly handy for a fabulous city.

jane (6/5): Disappointed - Moody rude guy checked us in. Despite listing saying English spoken he refused to speak any. Made us pay for car park even though another older couple were allowed to just leave their car outside in the middle of the yard for free. Also we picked this as it says city centre but it's actually a good 15-20 min walk to the centre. You are on a main road, with no amenities/bakeries/shops anywhere. It's actually better to stay on the outskirts of town so at least you can get a bite to eat or even a croissant for breakfast. Rooms are spacious and functional but very bare.

Frank (10/5): Amazing place, fantastic value - Amazing residence, and amazingly good value for money. I found it hard to believe that the apartment would actually be good for it's price, but it was: very comfy, spacious, stylish, a good bed and a small but functional kitchen, with free parking and very close to the centre of Troyes. Walking distance to pubs and restaurants is a little more (10-15 min or so), but well worth it. The residence is in a reclaimed industrial building and shares its space with a senior residence, and though it may look a bit weird, it actually is wonderful.

Check in was very easy and when we did not have change for the soda machine, the receptionist brought us 2 bottles of cold water and some fruit. Breakfast is great but you must purchase for 9 Euro if you get the on-line price. On the down side, the hotel is hard to find. It is not visible from the street and signage was poor. Pamela (10/5): Almost perfect - A very roomy apartment with everything needed for the stay. Staff were extremely helpful and efficient. Plenty of parking outside but we paid a bit extra to park securely and put the car in the shade. 10 minutes walk to the cathedral and about 15/20 minutes to main restaurants and city centre. Unfortunately we sheltered in our too which registerex 30 degrees all night. No air conditioning but at least an electric fan could have been supplied in such extreme heat. This is the only reason I downgraded rating from all excellent Bed very comfy Plenty of hot water

Katherine (10/5): Comfortable apartment hotel stay in Troyes - A little off the beaten path, don't be put off by the entrance (into a courtyard between two former industrial buildings still being renovated). The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very large with views over the river. Especially good for travellers with mobility concerns as half the property is a retirement community so there are ramps and all rooms have wide doors and wheelchair accessible bathrooms. There is secure underground parking but it was fine to park in the courtyard (for free). It's a 15 minute walk to the centre. The breakfast selection was a little limited still had the key items (pastry, cereal, coffee, juice etc.). The kitchenette could have been a tiny bit better stocked but again had the necessary basics which was all we needed. Definitely one we would stay at again!
william (10/5): Lovely staff and stay - Easy to find, excellent staff , perfect English, took us to apartment, explaining history of building etc. Very good. Room was spacious, nicely furnished, nice balconies, kitchen bits and pieces for two. Comfortable bed, crap pillows but we asked for two more. Car Park is available for 5 Euro, we left car outside which was absolutely fine. WiFi is a nightmare to set up , even step by step explanation, took a while to get password etc. 0verall very good, coming back next year...

Verified traveler (2/5): worth ever hotel in Troyes, France. - This hotel is very hard to find. when you drive to parking lot you will feel like in the dangerous zone. I arrive after 10PM and waited outside for an hour and must have to call hotels.com to reach hotel personnel to open the door. the hotel is by water reservoir and water running allnight long and you can not sleep at all. the lady at receiption desk was very very rude, when i question about late check-in fee, she said if you don't pay it she will call the police. It's very racist and treat asian people like trash. Never stay in that hotel again!

Paul (8/5): Great deal in Troyes - We really enjoyed staying in this allmost brand new facility. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and perfect for budget travel. The staff were curteous and the free underground parking was safe and secure. The location was also a big plus as we were able to just leave the car and walk to the old town in minutes.
Lynne (8/5): Lovely city and good hotel. - Very modern, clean and "industrial chic", VERY reasonably priced. 10 minutes walk to cathedral, 15 minutes to bars, restaurants etc. Strange surroundings - several derelict buildings on either side. Excellent value breakfast at 6.5 euros. Large room with microwave, hobs, fridge etc. Free secure parking. Troyes itself is a lovel city. Museum of modern art and museum of St. Loup both good. Essoyes (35 miles away) definitely worth a visit - excellent Renoir exhibition and village trail with fantastic newly-opened house and studio full of artefacts from his life - as if the family had just upped and left! A great place for a 4 day stay.
jayne (10/5): Like your own comfy, new flat - Gorgeous little apartment, a recently converted old factory development. TV, suite, comfy bed and gleaming shower room. Balcony overlooking canal and buffet breakfast room overlooking the bubbling Seine. Feel that we'll be back for a long weekend.
