Everything nobody was awake to give me my room no where was it posted at the building that check in time had a cut off to we arrived and had no where to sleep until we called a so much better motel who helped us out.

- Eve (7/5): - Location was good. Close to a good cafe. The managers were very friendly and helpful. It would be nice to have water glasses, paper would be fine. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink, but the shower was fine and it wasn't hard to adjust. A plugin the the bathroom for a hair dryer would also be nice, but given the age of the property, probably not an option.

- Donald (10/5): A charming stop at a great price. - This a great representation of the old time Ma and Pa motels. The room was suitable size for 2 people and 1 bed, but not large. The bed was great, and the furnishings were classic for that era. The genuine wood paneling was in great condition, and the other room furniture and other furnishings were quality wood pieces as well. Very well decorated. The room was clean, the bathroom and shower were small but functional and the office staff was charming and efficient. We would certainly stay again.

- Joseph (4/5): If we would have realized what we were in for, we would have driven further away for lodging. - We liked the proximity to Craters of the Moon NM and a restaurant. The stained carpet was the first thing that greeted me when I opened the door. The paint on the shower tile floor was peeling. The furniture was a hodgepodge with some in disrepair. The small window AC moved air, but that was about all. There was no toilet paper when we arrived and when my husband went to reception to get some, the clerk wasn’t there. He went to knock on a wooden partition to the back area, and she opened it and got after him for scaring her.

While we were a little taken aback by the bedroom, which felt quite dated and out of sync with the rest of the experience, we were aware of this before booking, so it wasn’t an issue for us. The facilities were absolutely spotless, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They even recommended a great place to eat nearby, which turned out to be a real highlight of our stay. Overall, the warm hospitality and cleanliness more than made up for the older room. A pleasant stay in a great location!

- Brandy (6/5): - The motel is in a good location. This place is cute. However it needs major remodeling done. The room we were in had electrical issues in the bathroom. Sometimes the light was bright and sometimes it was very dim. Also the bathroom door would stick at the top and you had to help the person get out. We tried to watch TV but the cable wasn't set up and the wifi was to weak to use. I would have went to the office and asked for help setting up the cable but the lady really didn't want to be bothered and she let you know. As for the beds... you either sit down lightly and slow or you're getting bucked off! The beds jiggle like a bowl of jello (was fun until you try to sleep). Also was told that the air conditioner was new. Great! It was definitely the loudest air conditioner I've ever heard. Plus good luck with the parking!

This is an older motel and lacks amenities like AC, ice machine, and coffee maker, but room has a table and chairs and a good refrigerator and microwave so we happily made our morning coffee and tea and ate our evening snacks. Beds were OK, though when one person moved, the other person felt it. Overhead fan in one room kept half our party cool, and open windows and cross draft cooled the other room sufficiently for sleep. Shower pressure was good, but stall could use a repainting. Linens were clean.

The only real issue is the bed. The mattress is awful; it’s full of dips and lumps and creaks loudly with any movement, and the pillows are hard and flat.

- Susan (5/5): Pleased we only spent one night. - Arco is well located for a trip to the Craters of the Moon National Park. This motel has seen better days. As a motel it lacks things I expected from a motel, e.g. kitchenware.

We tried for 20 minutes or more to get hot water in the shower to no avail, though the sinks had hot water. When we turned the water on for the shower, grey water burbled up in the kitchen sink drain and continued to do so while the shower faucet was on. There was a plastic bag stuffed into the smoke detector bracket so it was not funcional. The bed was ok and sheets clean, so thankful for that. But the health hazards outweighed anything else. Also surprised to learn that motels are not inspected in Idaho!

- YVONNE (4/5): - Convenient stopover on the way from Sun Valley area to Yellowstone. Next to a noisy busy road. We chose it for position and as we are on a long road trip it was a place with a laundry. We knew it had a microwave and fridge as eating out options looked limited. But if we did not have our own cups, plates, bowls and cutlery we wouldn't have been able to eat in. One broken chair outside which we took in as only 1 chair inside. Floor oddly stained. Bed good size but soft.

- Terry (4/5): Keep driving - We needed a place to stay near Craters of the Moon and Arco was pretty much it. The motel is a dump, but Katie at the desk was as accommodating as you can get. First room, the air c wasn’t working and the toilet seat needed to be put in the dumpster. Katie quickly agreed to change the room. The second one had god AC. The shower was scary and most of the furniture was broken. Don’t even think of waking on the carpet!
- Judith (10/5): - I really liked this old style motor court. Katie, the co-owner, was very nice and recommended sites to see and where to eat breakfast. While this seems counter-intuitive, it was nice to not have reliable WiFi--it allowed us to focus on our vacation and not listen to the news. Anyone staying there should know this is not a resort. It is a friendly, clean old-style motor court that is in an area with interesting sites to see (Craters of the Moon Nat'l Monument and EBR-1).
- Robert (8/5): A Friendly and Cozy Place to Stay - Really friendly. personable and helpful owner. Gave a good recommendation for meals, "Pickles"...a local favorite with extensive breakfast menu. Solid wifi even in windstorm. Front door parking and small porch for reading or journaling. Real cozy room w tones of cabin in decor and layout, Lots of blankets and reliable space heater. Small number of cabins on property for a real private feel. An unexpected bonus is a friendly, meandering cat as part of the welcoming committee!. The town is interesting and has real character! The room was a bit dark. The lighting is meant more for mood rather than reading. Also, there were no bathroom hooks and we had to hang towels on a chair to dry...no big deal.

- Lee (8/5): Ideal stopover location in Idaho - This Motel is situated on Highway 20 Idaho. Its in the middle of a desert. The town of Arco is small, however the welcome was huge. The managers are doing a great job of maintaining it in some really inhospitable temperatures 39 Celsius 103F. The room had an older air conditioning unit, it was noisy but worked really well. We turned it down through the night. They told us about a local bar restaurant that did excellent food and drinks.

- Tayler (10/5): Best place I've EVER stayed - Katie (the manager) is now one of my favorite people. My family and I broke down a couple miles outside of Arco. I called the hotel around noon to see if there was any chance we could get into a room early to get our kids out of the heat, within 5 minutes she was there to pick us up so we didnt have to walk!! She got us into a room right away, was beyond helpful and showed kindess that I haven't seen in years! The house keepers were also making their rounds, they stopped to check on us, gave us recommendations on local help with our car, everyone has gone out of their way to make sure we are taken care of. We are still currently checked in, they let us stay past the check out time so we didn't have to wait in town until we can get our car towed back to Montana. There are no words to describe how thankful I am to these incredible people! Apart from the hospitality, the room was super clean, quiet and had a "home" kind of feel! We just spent a week at hotels in Disneyland and I got better sleep HERE than I have all week! 10 / 10 recommend

- Frank (6/5): Decent place to stay in Arco - Very friendly & helpful owners. Quiet despite location by the highway. Needs some updating & additions (a few drinking glasses/cups in the rooms, bedside tables & lamps, updated bedspreads more easily able to be routinely washed - small touches would improve things significantly).
- Ralph (7/5): Good value for the money for a one/two nights stay where you need a basic motel room. - It is a basic motel room in rural area of Idaho. It is an older cottage style room motel right off the main highway. The rooms are a bit run down but were clean. Bathroom was updated. Appliances are a dated but work. Overall a good value for a one night stay if you don't need the fancy and updated fixtures. Staff was really nice. The wall sockets are worn and I could not plug in any of my AC chargers except by the AC where it had a newer GFI plug. The beds are OK but not the best for comfort.

- April (9/5): Superb - Clean, comfortable, and a great location. The owner was super friendly, there is a good restaurant within walking distance, this is a little slice of Americana and a perfect place to stay so you can visit Craters of the Moon.
