Guest Reviews
- Ericksen (9/5): Great location for the slopes. Chalet style decent value great staff. - Comfortable beds, all the basics, new, and cozy . Awkward to have the shower upstairs while bedroom downstairs.
- Kate (9/5): - Great location, lovely views, short walk to the lift. Clean and ample parking.

- Fiona (8/5): lovely, perfectly positioned and comfortable! - a lovely place. Big, comfortable, nice bath. Good kitchen with rice cooker and some basics (oil, salt, pepper, a few tea bags etc) a basic hotplate and mini-oven only but this is normal for Japan. Good bath and shower in each room with separate toilet. Walking distance to the slopes, can get a discounted lift pass from reception. Parking is convenient. Walking distance to a number of cafes/restaurants etc. Lovely views! I really liked it all!
- Suliana (10/5): - All about chalet fuyuri good No
- Carys (9/5): - The staff were easy to contact and helpful. The apartment was cosy which was perfect for the two of us and a small child, with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bathroom. The walk to the ticket office and town was easy, even when it was snowing. Nothing much at all. We found it a bit tricky to work out the hot plate but got there in the end 🙂
- Ricardo (8/5): -
- Mona (10/5): Fantastic location, great amenities at the chalet, staff were very helpful with ski forwarding -
- Vivian (9/5): We had a pleasant stay at the accomodation. - Clean accommodation with spacious living area upstairs. Bar/Ramen type of eating area so there isn't a dining table. Check-in was fast considering they don't have a stationed staff. You would go to the reception building which is a few steps up from accommodation and call using phone provided. A staff will turn up in a few minutes. Cleaning staff were nice. Bedrooms were on smaller size and since they are all on the entrance level. It has been difficult to pack and unpack in the bedroom unless you bring the luggages upstairs to the living area. Only 1 toilet but with 2 showers (one compact, another one spacious with tub).
After you make a turn off the main road, the passage leading up to the accommodation was super icy and since it was steeper at an angle, we had a bit of trouble.
- Lwin (10/5): - Everything is available inside. My kid love to go up and down. View is perfect to wake up to. NA
- Chan (10/5): Great place to stay - Rooms well equiped, lovely place with nice view. We even see a fox walking past us. Staff is helpful and accomodating Nothing
- Melody (10/5): -
- Warren (10/5): - if you are looking for a very private and remote location near Sapporo this place should exceed your expectations. Very large 3 story unit with multiple beds and sleeping quarters at a very reasonable price.
- Dong (6/5): - A quiet place to stay with newly updated facilities. However, the room layout is not very functional — the bedroom and bathroom are too cramped, while the upstairs kitchen is overly spacious and wastes space.
- Kathleen (10/5): A great place to relax. - Spotlessly clean and spacious. A very comfortable stay. We appreciated the view, the washer/dryer, and the quiet. Lots of room to relax.
- Nicola (10/5): Travelling from the UK to ski in Japan was new to our group but the accommodation was perfect for us - We loved the proximity of the slopes
We hired three of the 5 chalets, all had their own entrances and so were great for 3 groups of 4 people. The sitting room area meant all 12 of us could meet and eat together. Would highly recommend if skiing in Furano. To get to the main supermarkets in Furano you need a car. We managed perfectly by hiring one car and most of the group getting the airport shuttle which stops fairly close by
- Fun (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - FANTASTIC VIEW FROM ROOM.
QUIET AMBIENCE. WONDERFUL STAFF
- Angus (9/5): Superb -
- Deianne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katherine F (10/5): - Spacious and very close to slopes. Tucked away at edge of Kitanomine side which made it quiet and easy to park. Kitchen had everything we needed, and there was washer/dryer. English directions for how to use everything. Would definitely stay again!
- Alanwilliams (9/5): Fantastic location and value - This place is fantastic. We rented two two-bedroom apartments and were delighted with the space, facilities and location. It's so close to the lift station and the centre of Kitanomine and you can get late checkout for a very reasonable fee if you want.
We've stayed in a large number of hotels and apartments in resorts and this is outstanding value for what you get. It would have been great to have a larger area for drying our equipment.
- Stevens (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (7/5): Older style property in good location for walking to slopes, but not the ski-in we had hoped for - Location and spacious living areas with full kitchen. Daily cleaning of bins and clean towels. Only one toilet for 2 1/2 bedrooms (and 2 showers)took a bit of getting used to - and doors were a bit awkward
- Dave (10/5): - Was a great stay
- Ian (10/5): - Excellent accommodation
, great location, style and spaceousness.
- Kjersti (10/5): Great stay will hopefully come back!! - Great space close to ski lifts ,good facilities Nothing. Loved it!
- Cy (9/5): Meeting the expectation and value for money - Close proximity to skiing resort, Ningle Terrace and other amenities. Slightly late check out timing like 11am or 12noon.
- Yeowjyue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suliana (10/5): Exceptional - Strategic location with superb view!!! No
- Deianne (8/5): Very good -
- Bec_doug (10/5): Lovely Chalet. - Exceeded our expectations, lots of space, and close to skiing, restaurants etc. Free parking. The beds were firm (which is expected in Japan), 1 toilet between four was a bit tight, but having two bathrooms was great.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (9/5): Lovely Airbnb, very comfortable and so close to the ski field! -
- Yingshan (8/5): Very good - It's a fuss free apartment, good for large families. Good communal space.
However only one toilet (common for nanny Japanese accomodation), but had two baths. Easy check in and check out. Cleaning lady comes every day 10am to bring out the rubbish and replace the bath towels. Very close to the slopes. Will stay again! However only one toilet (common for nanny Japanese accomodation), but had two baths.
- Chin (8/5): Enjoyed the winter holidays and thanks Chalet Fuyuri to be part of it. - The location is near the ski chair-lift, and it is walkable even during the winter months. It is within walking distance of Lawson or other supermarkets and eateries; it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the nearest Lawson. It tends to get dark early during winter, and navigating around to find restaurants is challenging. We could do simple cooking at the apartment, and Chalet Fuyuri provides all the necessary items for us to do so. Frozen spinach, eggs, broccoli, crochet and pizza are some items we prepared. The dumplings are fantastic. The eggs are fresh. The instant ramen is tasty. Alcohol is affordable.
- Yuan (7/5): Suitable for family with young children - The chalet has big sitting room cum kitchen so this makes it perfect for those with big family who can gather around. The kitchen is also well equipped which makes cooking convenient Although there are bathrooms inside each of the 2 rooms, there is only one shared common toilet which is quite inconvenient for a family of 4 adults. In addition, the washing machine is inside the Master Bedroom which is a weird layout. The rooms (including the Master bedroom) are also very small compared with the huge sitting room on the 2nd level. It is almost impossible to open your luggage inside the room
- Jason (8/5): Very good -
- Sheh (6/5): Pleasant - The chalet is clean and the bathroom is really huge. The bathroom and toilet are separated. One is downstairs and another upstairs. Kitchen is upstairs too. What I really not satisfied is the aircond. It's not cooling enough and I felt very warm in the room. Hard to fall asleep. And the chalet is located far from town. Making me feel insecure when there was no ppl renting the chalet. And the price per night is very pricey too.
- Yong (7/5): need to improve - mountain views is nice a lot dust on the bed.
do not smooth and stable road when we enter in or out Chalet Fuyuri
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amar (10/5): - Quiet and soothing location on the foothills of ski slopes . Kitchen is very thoughtfully stocked with pots and pans , cups and even salt and pepper and soya sauce . Even toaster, kettle, coffee machine , rice cooker , fridge, microwave are all provided in the room . Views are breathtaking. There is a washing machine and even soap is provided. Size of rooms and bathrooms are really big in comparison to general Japanese hotels .Many supermarkets are a within a 2 min driving distance .No restaurant or cafe in the property . Reception team is very helpful . Enjoyed our stay.
- Alhammi (9/5): Superb - Check-in is straightforward. Chalet fuyuri is literally right at the corner of Kitanomine, so you'd have to drive into the gravel path off the main road a bit to reach there.
Not our first stay here, though this is our first summer stay. Came back here because of how tucked away it is, yet situated at a vantage point overlooking Furano. It's a cabin-in-the-woods experience so both winter and summer will offer a peaceful and quiet stay. The kind where you feel comfortable staying in on a rest day. Could use a smart tv really so that we have access to international programmes. Or, a tv that allows english subs.
- Johnson (10/5): -
- Ting (8/5): Very good - Everything about the facilities and amenities
Location
Environment atmosphere Bad-attitude staff.
Didn't even bother to speak to explain or introduce throuout the whole reception process.
The door lock is a bit puzzling, I asked for her help and she sighed heavily and rolled her eyes and made sure I saw that and knew she's annoyed.
- Philip (8/5): Good and enjoyable self-catering with good facilities and amenities in quiet location. - The accommodation was a self-catering two-level apartment in Japanese style arrangement with bedroom and toilet on the ground floor. Polished wooden floors, entrance has a step up, take off outdoor shoes and wear provided slippers. Pyjamas provided in closet. Plenty of storage space and small lockable safe in closet. Desk located in bedroom. Living room, kitchen, laundry and typical Japanese style bathroom upstairs on the first floor. Access is via stairs with a hand rail. Quiet location with plenty of light through windows and doors. Outdoor balcony on both floors with views over the city. Kitchen was well equipped with toaster, electric cooktop, microwave, kettle, rice cooker, fridge freezer. However not enough space to place them when needed. Enough crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Very good cooling and heating on both floors. Laundry was equipped with top load washing machine with translated English instruction card and detergent. Good complimentary WiFi service. Good TV reception with BS and CS channels. Found a couple of English programs but sadly News channels were dubbed into Japanese. A folder and brochure with local information was provided. Parking space was always available. Entrance approach from main road to the property was unsealed gravel surface with a few potholes so be careful not to damage car when driving into the property. Although the location was quiet and peaceful, we could hear sounds from apartment next door when people dropped things and walked heavily. No toilet upstairs so need to go downstairs when required. Totally self-catering so must bring own supply of food and drinks, none on site. It can be a little isolated without your own means of transport. Nearest convenience store (Lawson) is about 15-20 minutes walk away.
- yin fai (8/5): - The living environment and facilities inside the house are excellent. Clean and spacious. However the reception service is far from satisfaction. The staff only came for open the door and expected u to explore the house by yourself, including the checkout arrangement.😅
- Choo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jordan (7/5): Good apartment with beautiful views - The views were absolutely beautiful. The apartment was extremely clean and spacious! We loved having a washing machine and cooktop. Plenty of utensils for cooking! The couch was very comfortable for us to sit and watch a couple movies and play some video games! The bed was extremely extremely firm with two full size mattresses pushed together. It had no give whatsoever and it was basically sleeping on box springs with a hard thick seam dividing the bed. It made sleeping very tough for me and my husband. The apartment was extremely warm even with all of the heaters turned off. We had to sleep with the doors open and the net closed just to stay somewhat cool. Even with the doors open and it was mid 50⁰F (12-13⁰C), it was still very very warm, around 76⁰F (24.5⁰C). There also was extremely limited number of outlets
- Claudia (9/5): Superb - It was lovely, clean and well located.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Hannah (9/5): Superb - Lovely little chalet in Furano, perfect location for getting to the slopes. Big deep bath and powerful shower which was great after a long day snowboarding. Washing machine & drying area great to get clothes washed before travelling again. Would definitely stay again.
- Tim (9/5): Superb -
- Perry (8/5): This place is great, close to lifts and tons of room for big groups. - For Japan this property was really spacious, more than expected. 2 full service bathrooms, 2 large bedrooms, a large living area and pretty good kitchen. Really clean, great location, easy access and parking. Only a couple of small things that are relevant to family stays. Kitchen facilities are ok for 2 people, but a family of 4 or big group would be limited when cooking at home. Certainly a big group would struggle without a dishwasher (the single sink made washing dishes a messy experience). The TV didn't allow for us to use our Streaming Services, making it unusable (As to be expected, all TV services are in Japanese). Having a more modern TV would allow a better experience for international visitors.
- Keng (9/5): For ski purpose, this is the best place to stay. - The room function is pretty perfect.
- Sanchia (10/5): Excellent accommodation near ski area - I like everything about this accommodation. Well designed, well thought through to provide comfort and convenience to the guest. Nice long bath. Within walking distance to the ski area. Friendly staff who try their best to help. They provide free shuttle when I arrived/departed. Staff has basic understanding of English, so we used WhatsApp to communicate (so she could use an online translator). They charge JPY2200 by the hour if you wish to check out a little later.
- Mingwei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yu (9/5): Superb - its a wonderful location for snow ski
- Kah (10/5): Comfortable stay with a magnificent view - The view in the accommodation is absolutely stunning! The spacing in the bedroom is quite tight so does not have sufficient space to open our suitcases. One toilet.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siu (10/5): Excellent customer services, hotel staff team went above and beyond to meet our needs -
- Gillian (9/5): Very comfortable place to stay with wonderful views. - Great location for the ski lifts
- Brett (10/5): Superb! - Chalet Fuyuri is very close to the ski field and was the perfect base for our Furano holiday. The apartments were beautifully appointed (we had 3 out of the 5) which meant a great night's sleep. We ate breakfast and lunch at Chalet Fuyuri each day (could almost ski/board to the property) and walked to a different dinner venue each evening. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
- Chi (10/5): Best hotel in furano - Excellent location and quiet area
Just next to the ski place with valuable price Bed is a bit hard
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and size of rooms. Good having washing facilities too. Beds. Too hard
- Alhammi (9/5): Highly recommended for anyone who is in Hokkaido for a roadtrip - Underrated. Love that it is tucked away at the corner of the ski zones, overlooking the entire furano. Beautiful balcony view, spent a lot of time there just looking at the town and embracing the silence. Loved the occasional bell that chimes across the quiet town too. It is a walking distance (2-3 mins) to Kitanomine Ski Zone. So if you are heading to Furano in Jan-Mar (when KSZ is open), Chalet Fuyuri is the best value as compared to other accomodations in the area. Driving into Furano is recommended to get the best out of the stay. The dry and wet toilet is not on the same floor. But it was the least of our concern really as we are abled adults. You might want to take this into consideration if you are planning on bringing seniors or less abled persons, however.
- Stephen (9/5): The perfect place for our family group to stay — clean, well-kept, spacious accommodations with privacy, lovely surround - Units were spacious and comfortable.
View from the balcony was fabulous!
Appreciated the quiet and privacy, even though we weren’t far from the town. Can’t think of anything
- Siew (9/5): Comfortable, clean and nice surrounding. - Very clean and quiet place. The staff was accommodating to the change of our early arrival and check in.
- Ernest (8/5): Very good -
- Paisal (9/5): Superb - Good location None
- Diane (8/5): Very good - spacious unit in a great location overpriced
- Wai (10/5): Amazing - Spacious apartment with everything we needed in our trip - washing machine, big kitchen, big bathroom and quiet surrounding. Lovely view from the balcony where we could have a panoramic view of the town. Just a few minutes of driving to the busy area of the town. Would definitely stay here again if we visit Furano again.
- Pornchanok (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the place was comfortable. Having a washer/dryer was convenient as we stayed 3 nights. The views from the window was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking oil and shoyu provided and a seperate bin for leftovers. The bathroom and bath tub were huge. It was on the expensive side but we really enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Yeonjung (10/5): Exceptional - The facility was clean and well maintained. The host was very responsive Kitchen and living room is on the second floor so it's hard to reach for young child or elderly. The location of bathroom door and room #1door and toilet door is not convenient to move because the doors are so close to each other . So if you want to open the bathroom door you have to bump into room #1door.
- Weng (7/5): Great facilities but unfriendly staff - Spacious, clean and comfortable Host response to message is slow and interacting without smile and seems very cold
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - The staff understand English, and it is ready easy for us to communicate.
- Karen (10/5): 2 night stay for 4 pax - It looked like the pics. Two bedroom@level 1. Family room, dining n kitchen at level 2. Very very spacious level 2 for unwinding after a day of activities . We didn’t cook or have meals inside although the option was there . Family enjoyed bonding time a lot every night . One wc only for an apt that can take up to 8-10 pax comfortably
But there were two shower areas of which one was very spacious
- Chi (9/5): Very good experience -
- Yik Hei (10/5): - Very nice and comfy, with huge bedroom and kitchen
- Yen Ping (8/5): Nice and well equipped chalet - Chalet was well equipped and clean. However, the air con could not be switched on and so the room was rather stuffy even though it was Spring temperature outside.
- George (8/5): Spacious and comfy! - Situated in a quiet location, not far from the town if you are driving. Will be a rather challenging if walking though.
Room was clean and spacious, and everything is thoughtfully provided down to clothes detergent powder. Hard pillows!
It's a two storey unit, so moving heavy luggage will be a bit of effort. Not a really major hinderence.
- Anne (9/5): Wonderful views - Great location, an easy walk to the ski fields.
- Paramee (8/5): Very good - Everything but the guest service staffs Guest service staffs with no service-mind and are not English spoken ones
- Magdalena (10/5): Wonderful stay at Fuyuri - Excellent response. Good communication. Pick up and drop off arrangement. Friendly. Great location and views. Well appointed. Nice spa bath, private and quiet. Nothing
- Grant (9/5): A fantastically clean well equipped spacious multi level apartment just a quick walk to the snow. Br - A very clean, very well equipped 2 story apartment. After staying in Japans cosy hotel rooms for 4 weeks it was a pleasure to be able to spread out. Although the food in Japan is amazing the kitchen gave us the option of staying in and cooking a few meals ourselves. We could ski in to within 150 m from the front door and out was a 400m flat walk to the gondola. The reception was always accomodating and arranged lifts ( one way) into Furano or from the lock sights.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - modern, clean, close to lifts and restaurants
- Brian (9/5): Superb - Excellent chalet for a family of 4 to enjoy the lovely Furano skiing/snowboarding! Staff were very pleasant and helpful, picking us up and dropping us off when we arrived and left. Perfect place and perfect location! Only 1 toilet, but manageable.
- Liam (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Jones (8/5): Very enjoyable stay. - location excellent, close to ski field and cafes (5-8 min walk)
Beautiful views
Bed comfortable
very clean
