Guest Reviews
- Neale (1/5): Bad - Location Waiting hours for a key to access room, building front door broken into by staff so unlockable.Room dirty. 2nd room we booked dirty and they were unable to provide a key to lock the room so our guest had to find alternative accommodation at extra cost. We were told the Boss had run off with the money by the unfortunate staff left to pick up the pieces of a whole hotel of unhappy guests.
- Wayne (1/5): Never stopped there - Nothing Couldn’t check in nobody answering at address or messages had to book alternate accommodation
Wasn’t happy
- Colleen (1/5): HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE - Could not gain entry as it is full of illegal squatters Fuming no access due to illegal squatters
- Paul (1/5): Bad - Did not like anything about my stay. Management abusive, no lock on my room, no toilet roll, no towels, no shower head, no answer from owners telephone number all in all the worst place ever stayed and paid for it, disgusting Everything
- Peter (1/5): Worst ever - Bathroom not cleaned. Hoover left stood in middle of room. No bedding on. Dirty used towels. Main front door not secure. Room booked by someone else aswell as us who came knocking on our door. Lots of promises of bedding, towels coming but never materialised. Front door remained with broken window next to lock throughout stay. Had to go out and buy our own as well as cleaning products to clean bathroom ourselves. No main light in bathroom. Girl that let us in was telling people stood outside that she had been homeless but that guy who had got property was letting her live rent free to clean. No one to check out with had to leave keys in room. Other people staying in property had same problems. Some just went home. I have been trying to contact Booking.com but each time I talk to AI when transferred to a customer advisor I get cut off. Also used messaging chat and have not received a reply yet. TERRIBLE
- Richard (1/5): Avoid !! - Nothing, we were turned away no help at at all from the girl in the spinnaker hotel next door owned by the same company .The company, coastal holidays were unavailable on the phone. The front door was smashed so we went to look at the room we were allocated, no7. It was filthy, no bedding rubbish all over the room and bed. The toilet was full of excrement. Told 2 hours later but the Spinnaker girl that we couldn't stay there. So no refund and had to find and pay for other accommodation
Apparently there are squatters in there.
- Irina (1/5): Guest house of horrors! - Everything was disgusting, from the staff to the entire guest house. Terrible stench of mold, does not meet my requirements, as a wheelchair user, my mood immediately deteriorated, the feeling was such that I had been at the very bottom of society. It was impossible to sleep at night, the feeling was, that someone was lying in the window, it turned out that under the windows a metal door opens and closes for some visitors. I asked for a fan, I'm still waiting. Complete discrepancy with what was offered description.I don’t recommend it to anyone and I myself will never return to this terrible house.I will add that there is no staff on site, they need to be looked for in other places.
- Roger (1/5): Very poor. - Nothing! Everything!
- Jayne (1/5): Came home early because it was so bad -
- Michelle (1/5): Bad - The lady was lovely, friendly and polite. Room stunk of smoke, bedding was not changed just turned over, make up, blood on it filthy, never stayed came home, tried to ring to tell them phone number disconnected.
- Gary (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (5/5): Room was clean and tidy, no milk or sugar or spoon, 2nd night was left awake from 1am-4am by other guest above us bangin -
- Marie (3/5): Poor - Nothong Was double booked had to move to another guest house the host was constantly ignoring his phone. We eventually got in our rooms after a wasted half of day. NEVER again
- Karen (3/5): Poor - Location Where do I start arrived fri rooms not ready didn't have a key for room had to leave valuables in car they eventually had to change locks so no key till sunday as keys were missing .first night false fire alarm at 3.15am glass in main door was broken so front door not secure either staff did try resolve things but lack of communication between staff and owner had to make numerous calls to owner he just kept apologising. when leaving property another staff member from another property said that we had a parking ticket put on our car on the Saturday we were told parking was permitted as we had to give registration on arrival we never seen ticket so rang owner he said he will sort out not heard anything as yet
- Philip (5/5): It was adequate - There was no breakfast
- Joanne (6/5): Pleasant - Location Communication not good
Parking a problem need permits
- Fisher (7/5): A very pleasant stay. - Location was excellent. Rooms were basic but clean and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were polite and friendly. Very central to all amenities. Curtains need some more hooks and endings to stop the curtains from coming off the rail. Chair leg needs mending. Key needed for adjoining room.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (1/5): Bad - Nothing as we were not contacted by the agent to book in and we had to book into another accommodation at the last minute
- Karen (1/5): Appalling in every way - Didn't even get in the property nobody rung or text me like they said they was going to do nobody answered the door rung the property phone number was a answer phone 3 hours we spent trying to talk to someone rung booking.com 10 minutes to talk to someone she rung the property and said she couldn't get a reply then I got cut off absolutely appalling had to come home 150 mile round trip with a dog in the car Everything
- Linda (7/5): Good -
- Wigley (8/5): Very good - Located close to the beach, spa and shops
- Richard (8/5): Very good - It was clean and tidy, ideal when you just need a bed and somewhere to shower
- Senior (10/5): Exceptional - Hygiene a big issue with me and your guest house was 100% thank you
- Terry (3/5): Poor -
- Megan (6/5): Expensive for what you get - Bed comfy, had a tv, 2 seats, radiator was there for whenever I wanted it on 1 toilet roll between 2 people for 4 days, when I asked for more they said no one was in the office (I asked on a weekend which is most popular times I’d presume) I also asked for more towels as towels weren’t changed, had to keep reusing them, quite expensive for what we got, €100 per night, no breakfast included, no table for the chairs, bathroom very small, room wasn’t cleaned once
- Rani (7/5): Good -
- Sairally (9/5): Superb -
- Stacy (10/5): Great location! - The only thing I can say that I was a little disappointed with was i made a cup of coffee the first day and it had a really strange taste. Not sure if it was the water, kettle, cups etc but other than that we had a very pleasant stay - was perfect location and will defo visit again!!
- Cheryl (9/5): Perfect for us, will stay here again if we come back - Great location for where we needed to be. It was clean, a fair size. Table and chairs, TV, clothes storage. It gave us everything we needed. It was secure and with free parking. Staff were very welcoming and were kind enough to extend our parking for a small fee as we were staying in the area several hours after we checked out. I think there was something wrong with the kettle or maybe it was the water in the area. But both cup of tea and coffee tasted like oily fish batter. They weren’t drinkable.
- Carly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (8/5): Tara, thank you so much for making us so welcome - Tara the host was so helpful and the attention to detail was so much appreciated location, Stayed in Parkview Hotel

- Susan (8/5): Enjoyed it . Was comfortable.. slept well once noise from builders at the back stopped stopped - Central and clean and comfy beds Bathroom bit small . Lots of stairs
- Keith (5/5): Passable -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Our Blantyre stay was fab. - We loved the little annexe room we had in our main room. The key safe when we arrived and the room being ready for us an hour early was nice too.. the breakfast vouchers for the harbour cafe ..the breakfast set us up for the day. The lady at the house was very pleasant and communication with uk coastal Holidays was very good. Just the two flights of stairs after a busy day out and when carrying luggage.
- Clare (7/5): Cheap & cheerful - Good location. Convenient check in process. Allowing dogs is a major positive. Great having the additional room for our eldest child, although a lock for the outer door would have been better for us as a family unit (night time toilet trips) No guaranteed parking.
Noisy.
Hard beds.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Staff very friendly and helpful Bathroom alittle small but was clean and had everything needed
- Stephen (7/5): Good - Room was good size Washbasin in the bedroom instead of bathroom , view from the window wasn't good
- Simon (9/5): Great stay - Bed and pillows were comfy. Also the location of the guest house. Easy to get to from the train station and very close to the beach. Finally, the staff were really nice and helped out with any issues. Just the water pressure in the shower. I couldn't get the water to come out faster.
- Cristian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (8/5): Very good - Friendly owner, and with a great view of the sea. Only a couple minute walk to pier 6 cafe and not far from the stirling castle,, so all in all a great location. The room was nice and the bed was quite comfy.
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - location was spot on. Staff were very helpful. Just thought a fridge would have been nice as it was a warm weekend.

Great location, everything on the doorstep.
Beach is a stone throw away.
Comfortable bed.

Would definitely stay again and also recommend to family and friends. Noisey seagulls meeting for a rave at 4am should be given an asbo with a curfew 🤣🤣
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the location staff where lovely very clean Bathroom was too small it was a toilet & shower not enough room and no where to hang a towel
- Edwin (9/5): Excellent value - Very clean and well presented. Dog friendly too 😎🥰 Parking
- Roy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (7/5): Great location, clean rooms - Loved the location, couldn't have asked for a more central seaview location.... The room is very clean and comfortable. Fairly small room, not keen on having the sink in the bedroom bit, but understand that it's a small ensuite room, it wasn't an issue.
- Andrew (6/5): Good - No breakfast The Area
- Gillian (10/5): We had a lovely stay here it was perfect for what we wanted - Everything Nothing
- Mclellan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (8/5): Great bedroom, poor bathroom - Beautiful room with an amazing view. Bedroom very clean and the bed was really comfortable. Easy on street parking and an excellent location. Macerator toilet. I know this sometimes can not be avoided, but this one just did not work effectively. Also, it clearly needed servicing and cleaning as every time you flushed, the smell of previous users of the toilet flooded the bathroom. Very unpleasant. Also, the shower had not been cleaned in between guests. Lots of very long, dark hairs were plastered all over the shower wall-at least 15 of them. If the bathroom was updated, this would be an amazing place to stay.
- Janet (7/5): Lovely place - The location was great. The place was very clean and tidy .I would stay there again . Just wished we had clean towels everyday. I had to ask for some ,but otherwise everything was very good
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -

- Sarah (8/5): Perfect little stay - The room was very clean and tidy. Enough space in the room for 2 people did not feel on top of each other. It was in the perfect location to Bridlington Spa and close to the beach/harbour. We love Bridlington and would definitely use this guest house again 😊
- Janet (2/5): Very poor - It was near to the amenities Damp room and bathroom condensation could not open bathroom window has it was locked toilet paper was damp wall paper ripped middle of wall bed felt damp not enough pillows flat as pancakes no staff at all fire alarm went off Sunday morning due to the fact that suspected ppl was smoking shower plug hole full of hair from previous guests key ring broken not value for money noisey guests lack of staff on site was supposed to do room noone came if anything happened god knows what would have happened even when fire alarm went off noone arrived to see if everyone or everything was ok
- Ruth (8/5): Very good -
- Duncan (7/5): Place was warm n cosy ..stairs were a nightmare - ... it was very close to event a was attending No breakfast which was a shame . Had to go out and get one each day .
- Kathleen (5/5): Would choose a place with staff - No breakfast included Very small room and tiny shower room.
- Alexandra (7/5): Good - Confy beds and close to Spa. The shower was really weak, and the bathroom door didn't shut right.
- Stopforth (7/5): Good -
- Kerrie (10/5): Exceptional - Communal fridge in the corridor outside our room meant we could buy snacks n nibbles for night time No breakfast available
- Carole (9/5): Superb - Amazing location to the Spa room was spacious and sooo clean stayed here last year too and def booking for next year
- Christine (9/5): Very comfortable beds and great communication from the owners x - Clean warm and very close to the spa Being on the top floor !
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Tanya (9/5): Superb - Clean and ideally located
- Angela (8/5): Concert stay. - Comfy clean room with tea and coffee facilities and soap and shower gel. Close to brid spa. Breakfast not provided on site.voucher for cafe across the road.
- Norvang (2/5): Very poor - It was nice in there room I didn't like what I was accused about for making noise when I didn't and even got a messages also so I prov it and they couldn't even give me toilet roll I didn't like it at all the beds was wrong also so no good sleep either and other guests did keep me and my partner up so I will never come back there again
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing - Good location. Room was very clean. Bed nice and comfortable. No hot water . No internet which was included in the price.
- Robert (1/5): Bad - there was no breakfast no staff only phone call by myself no hot water heating was very low cold
- Ian (6/5): A rather ghostly stay in a deserted guest house. - Conveniently situated. Clean. Nice bed Although water in shower was hot, water in basin was cold. Don’t like shaving in cold water. Booking.com site showed breakfast included but booking confirmation said it wasn’t so had to find cafe for breakfast. Never saw a soul. Given code for key box to enter, think was only guest, departed in morning having seen no one.
- Kerrie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jackie (10/5): Will highly recommend and stay again - Excellent all round. Great communication.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (1/5): Horrendous!! - nothing to like, 3 people 80's- one with limited eyesight and breathing problems. Two very steep narrow flights of stairs not wide enough for a size 5 shoe, dark carpet -lethal combination. No breakfasts or lounge to sit in if weather was bad, was told we could get breakfast vouchers when we arrived didn't see a sole whilst there. Tiny window looking down between two walls, would never get out in a fire. En-suite ( joke ) a sliding door that didn't shut properly, toilet seat didn't fit, the shower head was rusty and gunged up, worst still the toilet at the back of seat was disgusting and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long while. Bits on the carpet when we arrived still there when we left, sink in the bedroom its self was never cleaned, had to go buy antibacterial wipes to clean up myself! No one contacted once to see if everything was okay, I rang with a query day two and was told hours of business 9am to 5pm (it was 3pm) sent message as requested.......no reply. I have never had a problem with my knees until I spent those 10 days climbing those lethal stairs. The only person I saw was a man coming out of a door on the floor below ours carrying a large white rubbish bag which he dropped in a bin on the park opposite the guest house. This guest house appeared to be virtually empty to us, so why were we put in two shoebox sized rooms on the top floor with little or no air and a struggle to climb such steep staircases, heaven forbid there is ever a fire because I know we'd never have got out. Quite honestly it is the worst place we have ever stayed, and that's without counting the damage done to my right knee!

- Janice (9/5): Superb -
