Adrian (9/5): Awesome as usual - with a couple of niggles... - Room and ambiance awesome as usual. Concierge Dave super helpful arranging transport for our group, and arranging a re-book for a guest who had to drop out at the last moment, having prepaid. Perfect city centre location. Discount on parking at nearby Q Park. Service at breakfast was poor as usual. Not enough staff maybe? Fruit selection for my health conscious partner was terrible: 3 types of melon! At least they found a few berries for her when asked - but she shouldn't have needed to ask. At these prices are more extensive buffet should be available. Fresh bread basket ran out and wasn't replenished before we'd finished. The waiter in the bar simply ignored me when I asked for complimentary nibbles with our drinks, and provided the bar snack menu instead! All little things but these are the points that take a hotel from good to great......

Lovely room, very nice aesthetics and ambiance throughout the hotel with an exclusive feel. Staff were excellent - really helpful and friendly. The only very small negative is the lighting in the room was quite dim, which I generally don’t mind (and is common) but an option for brighter lighting in the bathroom and or main room would be useful.

The lights by the bedside table were hard to navigate as they connect to multiple lights and not obvious if a twist dimmer light or push button. Took a mixture of both to get them on and off.

It was within easy walking distance of the train station, the main shopping centres, and good cafes and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Bar and the Grill were really good, as were the cafes on the square outside the hotel The WiFi dipped in and out but that might have just been in my room. There was a gurgling sound from the A/C unit that would have prevented me sleeping but the staff were able to shut it off manually for me

Oscar (10/5): Exceptional in every way. - Dakota has a modern, stylish, yet cozy atmosphere. The staff were excellent, the ladies at reception were exceptionally polite, efficient and very caring. The Concierge was extremely helpful. The bar and restaurant staff were also fantastic and very friendly. Food was good, and the cocktails were great! The room was absolutely spotless! The decor and furniture were fantastic and in great condition, everything was very easy to find. I cannot fault my stay at Dakota in any way. I will definitely return next time I’m in Leeds.

I am a Diebetic and needed a fridge for my spare insulin.. most places you stay these days have a fridge.. even budget hotels.. spare insulin had to be thrown away after stay ☹️ I didn’t make a fuss as was there for a special occasion..
