Steve (9/5): I have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years but this is the best in terms of customer service. A big shout out to - The staff couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel art is fantastic. Also couldn’t be positioned better. A couple of very minor irritants like not re supplying water in the room. You have to ask the restaurant staff for it.

Yufeng (7/5): Expensive hotel in great location with room to improve the services - * the location was fantastic and right at the center of everything * breakfast was very good * The service and facility at the front door are quite lagging. I was shocked to see there are 7 stair steps at the front door without a ramp - and there is no staff greeting the guests and help them with luggage, at least not during the 3 days we stayed. This forces guests to lift their big suitcase up/down themselves, not over one step, but over 7 stair steps - see picture. We have big suitcases and my back was weak due to past injuries, and I struggled lifting, with no staff in sight to help when I arrived and departures. This is seriously bad for a hotel that often demand premium pricing (we paid over $2800 USD for a three night stay, for a room of 320 square feet). If the hotel want to save money and not pay for a door man to help guests with luggage, please at least build a ramp, so that the guest won’t hurt themselves lifting heavy suitcases.

Fantastisk sentral beliggenhet som også gir negativ feststøy om lørdagsnatten. Frokostsalen er flott. Frokosten er stor og innholdsrik, men ryddingen er svak, sjelden og frokostledelsen (begge to) er upersonlig og uinteressert, og dårlig i norsk språk. Hotellsjefen var stadig tilstede, positiv og hyggelig. Rommet var flott, fin størrelse, gode senger, fin utsikt til fisketorget. Garderobeskap/kjøleskap løsning var effektiv samling av kleshengere, hyller, kjøleskap, safe, etc. Smart og kompakt. Dusjløsningen var elendig oppe i badekaret. Kunne ikke stå og dusje med vann fra "veggen"/holder. Måtte håndholdes. Dusjgardin for å skjerme sprut på gulvet var håpløs løsning. Badekaret skulle vært fjernet.

Muldoon (8/5): Great location - premium hotel - We stayed twice within 2 weeks. Everything was good. However, the price per night nearly doubled between the first and second stay. It's expensive in Norway!! But all good - thanks Great building - well maintained and presented / furnished. Comfortable bed. Room a little tight.

Euan (9/5): Great stay in a lovely hotel. - Great hotel in the middle of town. Lovely staff, room was overlooking the harbour but quiet. The room itself was great, had all the features and was very comfortable. Breakfast room was stunning, perfect for a lounging breakfast before a long day. Can't say I have had any issues with the hotel.

Thomas (5/5): Langt fra verdt prisen. Har over 100 hotellovernattinger i året. Dette var det mest skuffende til den prisen for et supe - Fin beliggenhet Sur betjening på restaurantene i flertall, de kom ikke for å vaske rom og bytte håndklæde før kl 16, dårlig belysning på rommet. 2 enkle senger som skled fra hverandre og ble kalt Queensize. IKKE seng for et par som sover sammen. Ikke nattbord eller USB lader V seng, kaldt på baderom med termostat på max.

Denise (10/5): Lovely hotel, really recommended - Excellent breakfast selection in a fabulous room, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. Amazing location too. I would have liked some complimentary water in the room and a couple more teabags
Fetouche (7/5): Déçue - Emplacement Restaurant réservé à 21 h pour qu’on nous dise à 21h à non l événement avant est pas fini super pour trouvé à manger à 21:00 et quelques Escaliers partout et zéro proposition de chambre qui ne nécessite pas de monter les marches chaque fois L une des personnes de l accueil était franchement pas agréable la deuxième a été très embêté pour le restaurant et a tenté de chercher une solution autant dire que il n y avait qu elle Emplacement top mais franchement les photos ne valent pas l hôtel Très déçue Parking à 5 min à pied mais niveau pratique en voiture c est vraiment pas idéal Bref voyageuse très tolérante mais quand je réserve un hôtel de ce standing j attends un minimum de service et pas d être regardé comme si je n avais pas les moyens de séjourner dans l hôtel L annulation du restaurant était vraiment inadmissible car solution de replis néant un mardi soir Zéro compensation Parking impossible à payer bref vraiment déçue

harikeshn2023 (8/5): Good hotel in fantastic location. - This is a great hotel in an absolutely fantastic location in the center of Bergen right next to everything. The hotel has many nice things going for it. The rooms are well appointed and classy. The location is amazing. Close to Bryggen, close to Mount Floyen, close to shopping. The breakfast restaurant has a stunning decor and the breakfast itself is excellent. Almost all the things come together well. And it's an excellent option for the family! Things that could be improved: The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is spotty. Some of the staff at the front desk very experienced and super helpful, while others are diffident or indifferent. The staff at the breakfast restaurant seem under motivated and not customer friendly. This prevents this hotel from moving from the good to the amazing territory.

Karina (7/5): Great location and beautiful historic property - Location is brilliant Bed was super comfortable Restaurant was excellent Staff were lovely The only fault of the hotel was that they didn't have any shelves to put clothes - so had to rummage through the suitcase . The shower was also quite strange - there was no door which is fine but left very little space for the water from the shower to stay in!

Liesl (7/5): Good upmarket hotel with a few quirks but in great location for taking early train. - Staff friendly, clean hotel and great curtains to make dark. Nice enough city view but not the best area unless you’re taking early train-then great! Great bathroom and space for luggage. Bed comfortable. The TV area does not have a plug for hairdryer or anything else. No plugs next to beds was a challenge.

Aina (9/5): Hyggelig personal, nydelig mat, bra rom og god dusj! - Veldig koselig at det lå kort fra personalet på rommet da vi ankom Jeg hadde forhåndsbestilt en flaske med bobler som skulle komme opp på rommet. Dette ble dessverre glemt ut av personalet, og da jeg ringte ned til resepsjonen fikk jeg ikke svar. Det ordnet seg når jeg gikk ned for å hente flasken, men det hadde vert helt topp om den kom på rommet som bestilt.

Charles (9/5): Le parfait endroit pour découvrir Bergen - L'hôtel est superbe, surtout la salle de restaurant et le bar. Le Petit déjeuner est somptueux et de qualité. L'emplacement est idéal, à une minutes de tout. Le tram pour venir de l'aéroport est un 3 minutes. Un bon choix pour visiter Bergen Le petit bémol est au niveau de la salle de bains. Pas de rangements suffisants pour poser les affaires de toilette (Juste une toute petite tablette...) Nous avions plusieurs types de chambre. Les standards sont parfaites ( "sauf" salle de bains) et la suite est peu lumineuse et le mobilier ( chaises et table) pas du niveau d'un hôtel 4 étoiles
