Ho Lap Gavin (7/5): Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and it was well worth the price. - Room was big and practical setup and the location is perfect , while close to everything that you need like shopping centre , restaurants etc , surprisingly street noise wasn’t an issue at all. Bathroom wasn’t clean and the floor constantly wet due the shower screen didn’t install properly.

Christa (7/5): Comfortable and friendly with a few quirks. - The property is in a very convenient location and my apes clean and comfortable. There is a nice lobby where you can relax and the staff are friendly. They accept pets which was my main reason for staying. The lighting in the apartment could have been better, the kitchen area was not well lit. Also when hotels accept pets I don’t know why they don’t provide a water bowl - you have to use one from the kitchen. The parking is not in the same street and is a bit too far with bags.

As a germaphobe I was very comfortable. Beautiful scent throughout building and room. Very convenient guaranteed parking only a short walk up the road. Great value for what was offered. Customer service was also wonderful. Rooms were also quiet and private despite being in such a busy location.

Nina (1/5): - Nothing I was receiving constant emails that my credit card was invalid and the property could not take payment, which is absurd as I have previous bookings using booking.com with this credit card. Even after adding another credit card to my account, I was still getting the same emails. One day before my check-in, I received a call from the property telling me that they only take payment through an external source (scam alert?). After a long day of being outside in the bush with limited reception, I got back to complete payment - only to realise that there is an extra $10 surcharge using the external payment website. I was looking forward to staying here as I had booked the loft suite, but payment shouldn't be done externally. Shame.

alisondF8490FS (10/5): A Great Place to Stay But Let's Keep it a Secret! - I am a big fan of Veriu Broadway - This visit to Veriu Broadway will be at least our third or fourth since 2024. The hotel is centrally located and a 5 min walk to Broadway - a mall that has everything you need. It's also close to the new Fish Market and a beautiful area on the bay with a great walkway. But it is the service that is secret to Veriu. The staff are always willing to assist. We love making use of the cooking facilities in our room and have been able to host friends over for a meal. We also love happy hour downstairs - a great space to hangout and visit. Roy, the night manager, is also a great barista as well as barman. We have stayed in several Veriu hotels around the city including Green Square and Randwick. Veriu Broadway is our favourite as the rooms are well thought out, spacious and have everything you need for a short stay in busy Sydney.

The size of the room is a major advantage and although a solo traveler it could easily accommodate 2-3 adults. Location is perfect for Sydney uni (walking distance) and central station (one bus stop). The spice alley is great for dinner and Victoria park is pleasant for sunbathing Noting really - I paid $A50 to check in at 8 am Early after a long flight trom London which I considered a bargain! Servicing staff were nice and replaced towels and cleaned without asking - all good!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was fairly large and the bed was quite comfortable. Having a kitchenette was great. Highly recommended!

We were disappointed that the dishwasher didn’t get fixed for 5 days and I was promised an email from the manager as I requested some compensation but didn’t get a response.

The apartment was very clean and in a quiet location. The sofa in the main living area wasn’t particularly comfortable.

It was much bigger than expected with very cool fittings and great big windows etc. Bed was huge and super comfortable. 2 tvs. Lots of hanging spots which I always appreciate. Location is excellent. Just needed face washers, but I am sure they would have been provided if we’d asked.

Vanessa (8/5): Great conveniently located accommodation with wonderful front desk staff. - Staff were fantastic, I had a problem with my room (the hotel could not have foreseen this particular issue though) and an alternative room was rapidly organised at 10.30 at night, which was even better than the original. Very happy with the level of service. Great location, very central.

Loved being walking distance to the city, loads to do in and around Ultimo (pubs, bars), I loved the industrial-chic look of the rooms, and being able to visit a nearby gym (five minutes walk) was a big perk. Would stay again
Z2922LMesthera (2/5): Price-gouging, exploitation, lack of care, lack of respect - I had requested via email one additional day’s stay so as to attend a funeral. I was met with a despicably price-gouging response. I have been a regular customer for years. I was appalled. I refused the fee, which was close to the cost of my entire three-day stay, and told them I would then be forced to relocate to another hotel for the day of the funeral, making those arrangements in advance of my stay. On check-in, I was told that the room was still available for the extra night, at that same inflated price I was quoted. I was disgusted. I said that of course it was still available, and it would remain available given I had no intention of being exploited. I will never stay in a Veriu hotel again, and I will actively recommend that others stay elsewhere. What an appalling way to treat a guest.
