• Ching-sui (9/5): - 很有探險的感覺，沒有過的check in體驗，一開始會有點擔心，但跟著給的email指令一步一步解謎，還有影片解說，很新奇！ 離火車站超近，很舒服的走路路程，我住的每天都很享受這樣的時光！離幾個知名景點也不遠，可步行也可搭車！飯店斜對面有家大阪燒餐廳，好吃到爆唷！ 可惜的是，床太軟且凹了進去，這是唯一美中不足的！

• Clare (10/5): Comfortable room, affordable parking, a mini kitchen AND a washing machine - it was the absolutely perfect hotel for Kyo - The location is ideal! There is a cost-effective parking lot two minutes walk away, two convenience stores three minutes walk away, and a train five minutes walk away. The area is beautiful not too crowded and very quiet.

• Beata (8/5): Overall the stay at Tofukuji Riverside was very good. - It is very close to a train station but what is more important it is very close to several amazing temples. The self check in was extremely easy and worked well. We had an issue with the safe but the staff responded promptly I think a deep cleaning from time to time would do the whole property good.

The bed was big enough for my 6ft boyfriend The pillows were bit too hard and too high for our taste. The blanket kept coming out of the blanket cover. Spent over 3 months in Japan and never saw a gap so wide for a blanket. I would accidently get inside of it after returning from the bathroom in the middle of the night. Or was just left with the sheet because the blanket fell out during the night. Very small details to improve for the future

• Emre (2/5): Als je je rust waardeert, zoek een ander hotel - 1. Zeer gunstige locatie, 2. voorzieningen zijn erg compleet, 3. het is een ruime kamer 1. Als je pech hebt en je verblijft op de 1e of 2e verdieping, zet je dan schrap op ongelofelijk veel geluidsoverlast door mensen die door het gebouw en in hun kamers rondlopen. Het geluid is zo onverdraaglijk luid dat het onmogelijk is om te slapen. Het gebons galmt door de hele kamer. Elke deur die open of dicht gaat en elke stap die wordt gezet kan je horen. Stel je voor dat iemand hard op je voordeur bonst en je komt in de buurt. Ik slaap met geluidsdempende oordoppen en zelfs dan nog is het onverdraaglijk hoe luid het is, ik heb bijna geen oog dicht gedaan. Het ergste is dat het hotel niet openstaat om je hiermee te helpen. Ze weten dat dit een probleem is met hun gebouw. Dit is een STRUCTUREEL probleem met de vloeren en de muren, dus ik geef hier mijn buren ook niet de schuld van. Het minste wat het hotel kon doen is mij van kamer verwisselen, maar dat hebben ze niet eens voorgesteld. 2. Het hotel is absoluut niet bereid om mij te compenseren. Als ik ze moet geloven hebben ze mijn bovenburen gevraagd minder luid te zijn - wat natuurlijk geen oplossing is - en hebben ze mijn problemen doorgegeven aan de hoteleigenaar, waar ik niks aan heb. Ze doen er alles aan om compensatie uit de weg te gaan, terwijl ze mij niet één fatsoenlijke nachtrust hebben kunnen geven. 3. Toen ik heb benadrukt dat ik om compensatie vraag, wat ze de eerste keer negeerden, krijg ik geen gehoor meer. Ze zeggen dat ze 1-2 weken moeten wachten op antwoord of ik compensatie krijg. Ik zag dit al in een andere review en ik verwacht dat ik over 2 weken te horen krijg dat ze mij niet gaan compenseren. Vermijd dit hotel. 4. Verder zit de knop van het licht in de slaapkamer los en valt hij er soms af als je de knop indrukt.

Great laundry machine. great river view, quiet area and close to the tofukuji train station. Very good cost/performance 10/10
• Bryan (8/5): - Well located, quiet and spacious. It was great having a washer and a kitchen since I was there for 2 weeks. While the kitchen and bathroom were clean, the ac was full of dust (I had to take the filter out to clean it) and the room could’ve done with a deep clean. It is unstaffed so didn’t speak with anyone. Bed was one of the hardest I’ve slept on in 20 years of travelling in Asia.

• Rinskje (8/5): - Prima locatie! Slechts op 2 metrohaltes verwijderd van Fushimi Inari Taisha en Gion-Shi. Met hoge zomerse temperaturen ramen en rolluiken dicht gehouden (treingeluid nagenoeg daardoor niet gehoord). Aanwezige airco was top (was alleen bij aankomst uit en rolluiken en gordijnen waren open, waardoor het lang duurde voordat de ruimte gekoeld was). Bad-douche met mini-tv is fijn. 3e bed is sofa en niet aan te bevelen als bed. Beperkte ruimte is efficiënt ingericht. Genoeg kastruimte. Wasmachine en wasmiddel is aanwezig. Afvoer in benedenkastje ruikt bedompt, maar het helpt wanneer de kraan even wordt opengezet. Grote koelkast met vriesvak. Supermarkten om de hoek, vlak over het spoor. Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.
• Verified traveler (10/5): 洗濯機 - 洗濯機の蓋が壊れて(外れるこわれ)いるが、そのまま使えますとの表示がしてあった。普通に使用できたこともあったが、1回エラーが出た。"蓋が外れている"というエラー。 蓋を開閉したら治った場合もあったが、ダメなパターンもあった。(一度電源を切って選択し直さなければいけない) 使えないことはない洗濯機だと思うが、できれば入れ替えを検討してほしいです。 ホテル自体はすばらしかった！また泊まりたいと思いました！
• Simon (10/5): Superbe hébergement - Superbe séjour. L'emplacement est parfait sur le bord de la rivière et à distance de marche de Fushimi inari. À quelques pas de la gare mais super calme. L'hébergement est comme un petit appartement avec beaucoup d'espace, une rareté au Japon.

• Wendy (6/5): Mediocre - This property was close to public transport and only one train stop before Kyoto. The room was quite roomy for a hotel but there was no room service. Towels not changed and the bed was quite hard. On a plus, there were some lovely restaurants in the area.
• Alvarez (9/5): Good place to stay away from the crowds. - It was the perfect location since we needed to use the Keihan line to attend an event. The room was clean and had lot of amenities. Quiet neighborhood. Close to the Tōfukuji temple were we took a walk and just loved it! The only problem we found was a bad and strong smell when we entered on the kitchen / aisle. We don’t know if it was coming from the drainage or it was mold on the futons stored in the closet. It didn’t get better.
• Tiara (10/5): Amazing and definitely will recommend to other heading to Kyoto city - Great location only 3 minutes from Kyoto and very spacious for a small apartment Nothing was a great experiment wifi was a little slow but wasn't in the hotel that much to be to concerned about the issue

• Pierrechoffe (9/5): We highly recommend this property - The property sent us a guide, with all details, including about the neighborhood. Everything was mentioned, including the instruction for the departure day. The property is near to the Tofukuji train station from which you can reach Kyoto central (one station), or Uji (very nice city south of Kyoto) or even Nara. the bed was a bit noisy, but we slept well anyway. All the rest was perfect. And this was the place where we had the most space in all our travel (space is rare in Japanese hotels...). The property is near to the Tofukuji train station, so we could hear the trains (but this is because we wanted to sleep with window open, so I guess this is our problem)

• Julia (10/5): Exceptional - This was by far the best place we stayed in in Japan. It was great to have a self-contained apartment with the option to do your own cooking. The apartment had great facilities like a washing machine, a Japanese toilet, fridge, freezer, etc. We would love to come and stay here again on our next visit to Kyoto.
• Jody (9/5): Large, clean apartment. Hard bed and pillows. - Liked: proximity to train, convenience store and grocery store. Loved looking out in to the river. Apartment was spacious compared to others we have stayed at here. The table was a nice feature and the bathroom was great. It had the basics we needed to cook. Room needs some sort of kitchen dishes towel though. Near by to Tofukuji Temple (walking) which was good because we didn’t get in to the apartment until 3 mins before the 4pm check in. Lockers in the station were inside the gates so we missed them and had to take our bags with us until check in. The reason the rating was less than exceptional for us was the very hard bed and only two pillows total, both hard. Not much sleep was had over three nights as there were no options to switch out a pillow and there was no way to make the bed a bit softer. We have stayed in other places with more comfortable beds so we know they are out there. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours but most people tried to be quiet.
