• M TERESA (8/5): Buen sitio para alojarse en Florencia - La ubicación cerca de la estación de tren y apenas a unos 10 minutos andando del centro de Florencia. Hay paradas de tranvia y de autobús cerca, asi como cafeterias y restaurantes Cuando llegas y ves las zonas comunes. El ver un edificio que está poco cuidado por dentro, y subir esas escaleras. La primera imagen no es buena, aunque cuando entras en el apartamento y ves que está bien y cuidado, la opinión cambia.

Great shower. - Giulio our host was very helpful with some issues we had as well as calling a taxi for us to go to the airport. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were basically new. Location was good as far as walking to most attractions in the centre, being around 15 to 2O minutes walking. Very well equipped for cooking a meal. The stairs to walk up to the apartment as we had a lot of luggage. It would have been nice to have a few basic things like tea, coffee and sugar.

You can’t open the doors from inside the apartment without an electronic fob and there is a locked door in the bedroom connecting to the bedroom of the apartment next door which felt a bit odd!

• Gwendolyn (1/5): Not worth it! Will submit pictures when I arrive home!! - Bed. Bathroom Up and downstairs with lights that go on and off intermittently. You would be going up the steps or down and all of a sudden you’re in total darkness. Yesterday morning, as I was leaving, I was going down the stairs in total darkness and missed a step with my luggage, wrist broken & had to go to the hospital for several hours. IA cast was put on and Surgery is required and I’m waiting now to hear re scheduling from my doctor at home. For this reason, I have to cut short vacation not only for myself but for a friend. I had previously requested $100 off the room and was declined . Prior to that I had spoken to Owner via email. He seems uninvolved with customer service issues & I was declined. The other issue is difficulty getting in and out of the entrances, no one on location to assist and overall confusing. Furthermore, your website says “excellent, landmark view”. Neither of these words are accurate they should be re-viewed and “fair” would be the appropriate rating or verbiage for those interested in booking for this location. When I arrive home, I will get in touch with your company by phone with proper hospital & doctor documentation regarding broken wrist and requesting consideration for repayment for all the difficulties involved .

The property didn’t had elevator and if you bring large luggages it’s a workout going up those stairs. Also it was very clear if neighbors were in the next door apartment. The location for me was the best as I was attending a convention at Fortezza Da Basso right across the street. But it is also a 10 minutes walk from basically anything (train station, historic center and more). I definitely recommend that place! Everything was perfect!

Location away from centre of town but plenty of facilities close by, restaurants, supermarket and transport(bus and tram). The stairs were a bit challenging but once we found light switch (black switches) this made it a lot easier to manage. Ideally apartment could benefit from tea towel and air freshener in bathroom.

Giulio my host is excellent from our first correspondence I felt welcomed and cared for. During my stay any thing needed was attended to, Thank you Location is great 21-25mintues walk to get to city centre to dine and visit art galleries or take public transport but walking is your best option. Train station is 5-7 minutes walk so you could take fast train to visit Rome. Bus stop and metro station is 5 minutes walk. There are restaurants and coffee shops closed by and the supermarket is not too far 15 minutes. The property could benefit from lift or restoration of old stairs…old stairs some are damaged and so you need to be careful when getting to upper floor apartments. The in shower marble bench slippery. There was no in room safe to keep valuables.

With safety electronic systems to lock the doors, well done! The furniture and stuff are of quality, chosen with taste to create a nice ambiance. Check-in was very simple, online, the access to enter in the ap online too. Good sized for ap, a large and well equipped bathroom. There are enough tools for preparing a breakfast or other meal in the nice kitchen. I was tempted to think that everything is perfect in this apartment, but in coffee country we didn't find a coffee machine, just a little hand expressor - broken. No coffee, no sugar.. it's a pity

• Josephine (8/5): The apartment was fairly close to the centre of Florence. The owner was fantastic in replying to me - I had a key code which was very easy to use It would have been helpful to have a welcome pack in the apartment- maybe a bottle of water , some herbal /fruit teas.
• Lauren (4/5): Good communication with staff but overall a disappointing stay - The host was very accommodating in allowing us to leave our bags prior to check in and also organise an early check in with good communication. The address on the site when typed into maps takes you to a different location but the host promptly dropped us a pin to arrive at the correct location. The apartment wasn’t to the highest standard of cleanliness. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable. There seems to be a major mosquito problem also and for not opening a window the full duration of our stay the amount of mosquitoes in the room was disturbing, it seems to be a real issue. Myself and husband have left with numerous mosquito bites each, not a pleasant experience at all.

The apartment had very nice amenities, was nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Communication with the host was excellent. He was able to provide recommendation for parking in the area (not always easy to find in Italy). I would highly recommend this property.

Thankfully only up one long stairway. Real bonus Clothes washer and dryer(no instruction had to find instructions on the internet). Reliable WEB access. Quiet neighborhood. 40 steps up from lobby. Thankfully we are young(75) and could navigate the steps. would not recommend for older couples with large suitcases.

The interior decor was beyond praise. A nice and clean apartment. Inside, there's everything from spoons, plates, a microwave oven to a refrigerator, teas, coffee, and so on. There's nothing missing. We would have loved to stay longer, but alas... My respects to the apartment owner, for offering such a high-quality home at such an affordable price. It's a pity that I can't stay for a longer period.

• Maxine (9/5): A wonderful time in Florence! - The apartment was very clean. Excellent kitchen facilities. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great. The air conditioning worked very well. It was very quiet considering it was on the main road and tram line. A wonderful stay and it was only 20 minutes walk from the main attractions. You have to use your phone to unlock the two doors. Whilst this worked well, once you close the door, it automatically locks and can only be re-opened with your phone. We found this disconcerting.. if there was a fire.. we are two floors high...you can't get out without your phone. Make sure you know where your phone is, where the app is on your phone and it is charged!

• Katie (10/5): Perfect apartment - would stay again - Really nice apartment. It was convenient for the train station and for the sites of the city. Walkable to the cathedral in 15mins but cafes restaurants etc much closer too. Cafe on the corner is nice for breakfast. Everything was clean and comfy. Air con good. Communications were good and check in easy. I'd stay again. Would be good to have a sign on the hallway lights (I think I ran a doorbell instead of putting on the lights - sorry neighbours!). Be prepared for a couple of flights of steep stairs (not that it is misadvertised but just be aware). With the apartment itself I wouldn't change anything.

• Claire (8/5): Modern and quiet - While small, the apartment was very modern and nicely decorated. I particularly liked how the different lighting could create different moods for the room. The bed was comfortable, the shower was spacious and the double glass windows did an excellent job of sound proofing the room. It was also about 10 minutes from the city centre, a good distance from the busy tourist district. The wifi is quite slow - not fast enough to support Netflix. There's a lag which means the audio doesn't sync. We restarted the TV but this issue persisted. The washing machine also makes a lot of noise. The load was almost finished at 10.30pm when a downstairs neighbour started banging persistently on the ceiling. After that we didn't feel like we could do a load of washing at night. The front door is electronic, but it seemed like the key battery was running out because it would take a little while for the door to unlock. More thorough check out instructions would also be helpful - such as where to dispose of the trash. These issues were minor to us and I would happily stay at the apartment again.

Noticed in Italy they don’t seem to provide tea towels for drying dishes. Bed was comfortable. Two pillows each.Lots of nice fluffy towels. Communication with the young man (owner’s son, I believe) was excellent - very polite and helpful. Allowed us to check in a bit earlier which was nice. There are stairs to climb to get to the apartment but it wasn’t too bad. About a 15 -20 minute walk to the Duomo and about 10 minutes to the central station. Gelati shop next door and pizza/pasta restaurant 2 doors down - food was nice and not as expensive as near the Duomo. The washing machine cycle was difficult to work out. It would have been great to have had instructions as to which was a short/quick wash.
