Guest Reviews
- Michaela Petra (2/5): - Kaputt
- Wasim (2/5): - Wouldn’t recommend this place even for roaches. It’s all about the money and nothing else.
- Catherine (2/5): - This apartment and listing are a scam.
When I messaged about getting a crib for the apartment, they told me that it was going to be twice as much as it said in the listing. When I pointed this out, they admitted their mistake and went by the listed price.
We wanted to check in about 19 hours late so that we would have somewhere to land with our toddler after an overnight flight. We were told that this wasn't possible and that we would have to check in a day late with no refund for that first day. That turned out to be completely incorrect, and the "check in" process was just picking up the keys at a 24 hour convenience store.
The address listed on our booking was different than the actual address. It was in a worse location and was farther from public transport and attractions than it was supposed to be. Also, the key pick up location was half a mile away, so we had to walk our luggage and baby for an extra mile to pick up the keys.
The apartment was not nice. It was bare and shabby and all of the furniture was uncomfortable.
Finally, and most importantly, the apartment was FREEZING. We spent hours trying to message and call to get help turn on the heat while wearing our winter coats inside. The were slow to return messages and never answered calls. We never got the heat on and ended up leaving to find somewhere else to stay. After we left, they told us that the heat is controlled by the building, so it couldn't be changed.
They're still refusing to refund us.
- Melissa (8/5): Spacious and bright apartment! - The apartment was in a great location, really bright and spacious! Good shower. Note that key collection is across town. Some items not there for longer stay eg cloth in the kitchen, but overall very good.
- Amanda (8/5): ead the small print - First the Good news, the flat is very nice. one bedroom, bathroom and open plan lounge/kitched. The bedroom is divided only by a curtain from the rest of the flat. The lat is secure and is situated only 5 minute walk to Shard/London Bridge/Guys Hospital.
Caution if you have a medical complaint be aware that the there is a number of steep stairs to get up to the flats front door. All in all great location and nice flat.
However, the booking process and customer service is awful.
I booked through hotels.com and did not notice that you had to collect the keys from Camden or you could pay extra ££ for them to be delivered to the flat for when you got there. This piece of information is conveniently not shown on the front page of the description and you have to click read more to see it. For those who dont know this is a real pain getting across London.
IAs soon as i received the confirmation i realised the process for picking up the keys and i tried to cancel, but they would have nothing of it. I tried contacting Hotels.com who contacted them on my behalf but again to no avail.
When you arive in Camden you have to pay a cleaning bill, separately and only in Cash. They will not accept card payment for the cleaning, even though they have a card machine there and will let you pay the deposit fro the flat on it. I physicall had to exit the building find the local cash machine and then go back. Bottom line great flat but BE AWARE OF THE KEY & FEES COLLECTION PROCESS
- Km Bredo (6/5): Wrong apartment - We expected the apartment to be at 16-18 Marshalsea Rd (chosen cause close to Borough tube station) but we were placed in a total different one at Plantain Pl. Quite disappointing.
- MRS C (8/5): Living in London - Loved the apt very modern great view of the shard nice area. Possible downside 34 steps up to apt.
- Fredrik (10/5): Perfect location and modern flat - Excellent location next to cafes and only 10 min walk from the Globe theatre and the London bridge, and yet in a very quiet house. Staff at the rental place (keys not picked up at the flat) was very helpful. No problems storing bags etc
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and modern apatrment near everything you need.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location with lots of facilities nearby. Clean comfortable apartment in easy walking distance of the South Bank.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Unnecessary fees and time waste with check in at diffent location. Just be aware of it. People are nice. Appartment was nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is comfortable and clean. Close to London city with access to buses and tube at borough station. Just needed to note you have to pick up the key from an agency in Camden and then head to Borough. We walked to Borough markets, the shard and london bridge which wasn't to far.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super zentrale Unterkunft! Optimale Verbindungen mit Bus und Metro.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.
- Taru (10/5): Ihana paikka! - Erittäin mukava asunto ja kivalla paikalla. Palvelu oli hyvää ja asunnon sekä toimiston löysi helposti. Henkilökunta ystävällistä.
- Daniel (4/5): Rude staff, terrible service. - Terrible customer service, and a different location to that which was advertised.
Upon arriving at Gatwick from my delayed flight, I was called by the hotel who advised me that, because of this delay, I would have to pay a late check-in fee. Brilliant; thanks for understanding that these circumstances are out of my hands.
I then followed the map in the Hotels.com app to where it said the hotel was located. No sign of it. I then rang the hotel, only to be informed that I had to go to Camden Town to pick up the keys first, and that since I would now be even later, my late check in fee had increased.
Camden Town is FOUR MILES away from the location that is shown on the Hotels.com app. When I tried to explain my predicament to the member of staff on the phone, she told me that if I couldn't get to Camden Town tonight, my reservation would be cancelled. She then hung up on me.
After ringing them back to explain that I didn't want my reservation to be cancelled as I had paid over £1000 for it, and I didn't think this issue was my fault, I asked for advice on how to get to Camden Town, as I am not a local. I was told to work it out myself, and again hung up on.
I took myself and all my luggage up to this new location, was given my keys after paying an additional late fee and cleaning fee (which suspiciously could only be paid in cash) totaling £60, then told I was now responsible for getting myself back to Borough, at my own expense.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Spacious and clean, noisy neighbourhood and area a little sketchy.
- David (8/5): Apartments were nice - Apartments were nice but very confusing and frustrated when they have you check in at another address that is not even close to the apartments, almost have to find another apartment if it wasn't for a nice person that took us to the check in address by metro and then guide us to the address. If I come back again I will try not to use apartments.
- Nick (8/5): - the flat is superb the method of finding the office and then subsequently the flat is not perfect as you break your journey
