The beds were quite a bit softer at top of bed so just slept opposite way on bed. The fan did not work well so had window open but can be loud at night because of people hanging outside hotel even though we were on higher floor. Overall fine for what we needed.

Very easy to get to by car or public transport, nice safe area only 9 minutes by train from Stockholm City with frequent trains. Good local restaurants as well, so great for base for exploring Stockholm.

• Ann Mari (8/5): Decent budget hotel , near train station - Decent hotel at a good price . My room on the too floor got very hot , even though it was just the start of May . Windows cannot be opened , so in summer it must get very very hot on the top floors On the 2nd day of my stay my door would not open and I had to go down to reception for them to sort out my key . There is a small snack bar ( 24hrs) and a gym ( open to 10 pm ). If coming from Arlanda airport there is a train that goes directly to Älvsjö station.

• Cards-Preds-Fan (8/5): Nice Base in Stockholm - We stayed here for a few nights while we toured Stockholm. There were four of us and we were able to secure two twin rooms - actually they each had a Pullman-style bed suitable for a child or small adult that could be a third bed in the room but fortunately we didn't have to use it. The hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks from the Älvsjö metro station. It was an easy walk that allowed to hop on the metro for sightseeing. It's not fancy. The bathroom was compact and the shower design made it difficult to keep the area outside it dry. Shampoo and a "hair and body wash" product were provided, but no hair conditioner. The hair dryer had the annoying feature where you have to hold a button down to keep it on. We did not find tissues anywhere in the room. But it was nice to see real (not disposable) glasses. The beds were super soft - it might be time to replace the mattresses - but were comfortable enough. Our room overlooked the train yard and it was a bit noisy when we opened the window to try to relieve a bit of stuffiness in the room. It wasn't bad overnight but we could definitely tell when the city was awakening. There is a small desk in the room, with a safe, but only a stool to sit on, so I wouldn't plan to use it for getting much work done. The ground floor is where breakfast is served each day. It's a quite decent buffet and if you have to leave before breakfast is served, let the staff know the day before and they'll make a sack breakfast for you. There's also a bar on the ground floor with a very comfortable seating area. There's a tiny gym on the second (I think) floor. It felt crowded with three people in it. We spent just three nights and were gone most of the day but this hotel was very reasonably priced and suited our purposes just fine.

Right next to a supermarket and train station. Free tea and coffee at reception for guests which was great after returning from a cold day out.

It was low cost also so I felt like it delivered what I paid for. Checked in very late and it was easy. Breakfast is busy with a decent continental selection. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the conference centre so not too far.

As per most reviews beds were soft but comfortable, not for those who like firm beds.Basic continental breakfast, expensive. Area quiet and pleasant with park for kids 5 10 minute walk away. Supermarket close by, but not much choice of places to eat. Central 3 stops on train. Should factor in travel costs to Central Stockholm when making booking. Public transport expensive. I would recommend motel for short stay

• Tanzania (10/5): - Very happy I chose this place as a getaway stay during my full week in Stockholm. Price wasn’t crazy when I booked, it’s right by the train station for those of you who refuse to drive like me (though I wouldn’t really recommend driving in Stockholm unless you want to ‘venture out the city, but even then the train will take you there. Remember Americans, the EU isn’t built around driving‼️‼️‼️). There’s a a really good Indian spot a cool 5 min walk away from the hotel if you need a bite after a flight, but there’s also a grocery store closer by as well. The area is quiet (When the train isn’t going by lol, it’s not annoying though and you can close the window easy peasy). The bar is open when you wake up and closes at about 1 am which is cool if you’re young and turnt like me lol. 10/10 would recommend SERIOUS‼️‼️‼️

And there were blackout drapes so I could sleep when I wanted to. I got there a few hrs before checkin and asked if I could get a room early, I got a room at about 1 pm. Only downside was that my tv didnt work. But, I would definitely stay there again.

The motel was conveniently placed near the metro, the staff were outstanding, the bed was amazing, and the overall experience was great. I wish I was in Stockholm and at the Motel L Alvsjo for longer. Thank you Stockholm and Motel L for a GREAT trip.
